The sounds of the third attack party did not escape Dah'lis as she sank beneath the waters surface. With all her might she tried to draw on the Force to mend her shoulder, but it was no use, that last gambit with the water had tapped her out. Drawing her saber but not activating it yet she swam toward the nest, where she knew Vasari to be. Staying below water, she remained out of sight of the combat till she breached at the part of the nest still above the water line. Their was Vasari, struggling to hold the waters at bay. The half-breed looked sadly between her, the nest, and the dragon. She couldn't save them all. She had to make a choice. And she did. Climbing out of the water, she stood by the Zabarak. Activating her saber and whip and she sat it down next to the eggs. With any luck it would keep them warm through what was about to happen. Then she looked at Vasari, trying to catch her eye if she could. When she spoke it was quiet and somber. The glint that had been in her eye before replaced by a sadness that came with making a choice between her companion and possibly the last creature of its kind.
Do you trust me? She waited a moment for an answer, but not too long. Let the water flood the chamber. I will breath for you. And with that she moved in for what at first seemed like a kiss, but she closed her mouth around the no doubt shocked Sith's and readied herself to start cycling oxygen through her gills and out through her mouth.

Vasari was doing everything she could to keep the water from crashing down upon them as the gathered troops continued to fire into Dragon who was giving her last to attempt to clear the invaders from sanctuary. Vasari felt the creatures life force being sapped with every bolt that slammed against her hardened scales. The Zabrak's eyes narrowed in rage as she felt the creatures screams of pain as if they were her own. She had hardly taken notice to Dah'lis climbing onto the perched nest until the woman was next to her, looking between her, the nest and the dragon. Vasari's focus was lagging and she couldn't hold the water back much longer. Above them the wall continued to crack and then Dah'lis was asking if she trusted her.
There was no real answer to the question, trust or not they were running out of options and if the knight had an idea then it would have to work. When prompted she released her hold upon the barriers and the water came rushing through as if a dame had been broke wide open. With the relief of pressure that entire section of wall began to break which caused the soldiers to panic and the Dragon to shy away from the wall, beating her giant wings to push herself back so not to be crushed by the weight of water and stone. Most of the soldiers fell beneath the sudden rockfall and those that didn't were disoriented and knocked below the surface by the weight of the hundreds of gallons of water pouring in to fill the grotto.
Vasari noticed none of this however, for as soon as she dropped the barriers and the water was rushing in towards them Dah'lis moved in front of her and brought her close and leaned down to kiss her. Vasari's mind blanked - this wasn't the time for... then it clicked together 'i'll breath for you' she had said, the Zabrak hadn't processed it at the time but now as the water rose over them Vasari's eyes closed as she opened her mouth against the other woman's lips and wrapped her arms around the lovely and brilliant Nautolan holding tightly to her as the water filled the grotto completely.

It seemed to be the will of the Force. The water washed around them and the nest. Nether of them were moved, even by the strength of the rushing waters. Debrie and corpses seemed to be guided around them. Dah'lis held the Zabrak tight against her as they stood in the eye of the hurricane. After the water filled the grotto it was still for a moment as rock and bodies floated around them. Then the water began to drain out. It was slow. Slower than it had filled the room. The half-Nautolan couldn't tell how long it would take, since she was focusing so much effort breathing for two. Her body was cold though. The glacial lake water no longer had lava to warm it and was freezing. This water needed to drain sooner than later or this attempt at survival would still be met with failure. But for now, the Knight stood in the arms of the Sith and waited. Though she could think of worse ways to wait for the end.

Vasari felt a lull in the Force - stagnation was never possible within the currents of the Living Force, there would be periods of quiet, where one would have to focus and give themselves over to one current or another, to allow themselves to be guided to where the Force would speak to them, but this was much different than that. This was a void, a place in which the Force had been present in one moment, and then simply gone the next. There was no stagnation - they had fulfilled their purpose at being brought here, and yet in Vasari's mind she had done nothing correctly - a great and majestic creature had expended the last of its life force that might have sustained it until these eggs had hatched fighting to keep the very invaders they had brought away from her children... Within the currents of her own mind Vasari felt only despair at coming here.
Her hearts however told another sort of tale, one old as time. Wrapping her arms around the half-breed knight she felt warmth even in the bitter cold of the water - but they were not moving. Even if Dah'lis could sustain them here definitely with her breath support the cold would kill Vasari sooner rather than later. Any adrenaline that might have kept her warm before was long gone now, but still she couldn't force herself to move from the woman's embrace her fingers moving slowly up the woman's back to caress her head-tails as she had before, slowly, affectionately, now knowing one of the functions they served.
As the two lay amidst the water next to the nest the dragon swam next to tho them, curling its large body protectively around the nest, and in part around the two of them. Its great wings folded around them and around the eggs that were being warmed by the plasma of the blades and whip heating the water around them. The Dragon's final song echoing through the water - one of sadness and lament. It had carved this cave specifically to care for these eggs, and it had only one way in, and one way out - the tunnel they had used to enter, and now that the dome had been broken and flooded - with only a little of the water leaking into the entry way the lava had made there wasn't a way out. The Dragon exhaled a bout of flame burning at the water around them all, heating it a little but just like the other two she seemed out of options.
We need to push the water out... or she'll drown... we have to do something...
Vasari knew that Dah'lis had to be spending the majority of her concentration on whatever phenomenon that was allowing her to breath for the both of them and so regardless of her words she knew that it was all on her. She refocused her mind and reached out towards the creature once again - this time she found no mental barrier, and she connected to the creatures thoughts. She didn't attempt to bond with the creature simply to lull it into a sense of calm. There was no way to move this much water, and creating space wouldn't create oxygen. The tunnel was large enough to allow the dragon to pass she had dug it after all - and the entrance was only a few yards away from them. She urged the dragon to a more wakeful state, pulling at its instincts and its willingness to protect the eggs - her children. The Dragon moved a little its wings curling around the nest burning a little as it brushed against the ignited saber but she didn't seem to notice.
Vasari urged the dragon to motion but she wouldn't, irritated, panicked, and filled with despair she pushed Dah'lis away holding her breath and licked out of the woman's arms towards the great beasts head slamming her fists against the creatures large cheek in anger. The dragon hardly seemed to notice her presence as it continued to hum its song. The sounds were growing softer and softer and Vasari could feel the creatures life force receding, but it wasn't like it was fading into nothing, it was being stored for something. Vasari kicked back and looked around in the dim light provided by the burning sabers. The creatures tale had begun to crystallize - no... that wasn't right... Vasari blinked in the darkness and focused her vision and while it was obscured by the water she could tell clearly now, it was diamond. The creature was slowly turning to diamond. Its great wings solidified and appeared as polished as gem cut stone, the hard three inch thick scales slowly turned to diamond bit by bit starting at the tale and moving upwards With one last act the dragon's giant maw opened and she exhaled into the space she had created. Fire and breath burned at the water around them and Vasari kicked back wrapping Dah'lis in her arms and during her best to shield the girl from the heat as the fire burned the water into vapor and the dragons dying breath took its place. The crystallization-like process continued even as the dragon burned away the water within the dome her body had created - the diamond wing above them and the coiled tail and body forming an air tight steam filled pocket. Vasari was surprised to notice that the flames that licked at her skin as she held Dah'lis down against the floor of the nest did not hurt until the water had finally been burned away then she felt a slight twinge but nothing worse than being shot by Sith Lightning, which she had been made to endure at the academy. When the water was gone only the dragons breath remained and it filled the chamber with oxygen - though it was hardly pure it was breathable. Vasari uncovered Dah'lis and looked up in time to see the creatures eyes focused upon them, and just as open maw turn to diamond Vasari and Dah'lis would both be filled with the overwhelming motherly desire to care for the young eggs - it was nothing concrete, a feeling given by the will of the dragon through the currents of the force - but it was there if they listened.

Dah'lis had had no energy to react to many of the things that had happened around her and to her. As the dragon finally faded away into crystal, Dah'lis felt the need to safe guard this creatures eggs, to repay this last act of the mother. But they weren't going to do much from here. She looked to Vasari, not knowing what to do next. She looked to the woman for a sign of an answer.
Are- Are you okay?

Vasari seemed to take the dragon's passing much harder, and was still staring into the dragon's shimmering diamond eyes when she heard Dah'lis speak from behind her. Vasari's hackles were already up, and she was doing her best not to take her anger out on the half-breed knight that had been enduring this hell with her. The First Order was to blame for all of this and she nearly shook with rage as she reached out her hand and touched the great diamond dragon's maw gently as if trying to reassure the creature that she would do her best. A sense of darkness arouse around the young Zabrak, her aura which was generally balanced between light and dark turned dark for a long moment and even with her back turned to Dah'lis the half-breed would notice the anger clear in her expressions and body language.
"No!"
She bit back sharply half turning her angered gaze upon the girl for a brief moment, then looked back to the creature considering all that had happened attempting to calm her mind. There was more to this story than what was before them, but Vasari did not have the mind to see it. When she reached outward through the currents of the force she couldn't feel anything anymore - the weight of the living force that had drawn here here like a lodestone was gone, she could no longer feel any other living beings, even the presence from the eggs was dark and cold, even though the dragon's breath that they were now breathing in was quite warm. Her skin was still hot to the touch from shielding Dah'lis from the fires that had evaporated the water - that act alone seemed to be more the will of the force than the power of the creature. These creatures were wonderful beasts, but they were not capable of these things - if they had been then it would have been documented, she would have heard about this wondrous ability in any bestiary in the universe, but there was nothing.
Regardless she did not have time to puzzle this all out now, she would have to research this further when she got back to Iridonia. She turned her shoulder from the dragon's face and brushed coldly past Dah'lis - she felt bad for how she was treating the girl, but she couldn't bring herself to look at her right now. Everything the First Order represented had led to this moment. Conquest and domination - subjugation - slavery - the most capital of punishments... in so many ways the tenants of the First Order were like those of the Sith, but the Sith were led by the Force in their own way. The First Order were led by greed and ignorance of their own self worth. They were worth nothing in her eyes, and she would just as soon have their entire influence erased from the universe than suffer their injustice to endure a moment longer - and as she passed the girl she did nothing to hide this feeling from the knight's mind. Even if Vasari did not hold Dah'lis responsible, the First Order would pay for this one day. She came to kneel by the Dragon's nest and looked down upon the two eggs as she unslinged her pack from her back. She opened it up and slowly lifted the two eggs into the pack placing them on the diamonds that she had taken from the Muun's office.
When she lifted the Eggs away and looked down into the nest she shook her head, and despite herself a rueful smirk took her lips. At the bottom of the diamond nest were several dozen blood diamonds of various sizes and shapes, most of them crushed and pulverized into a find powder by the weight of the eggs and the dragon that had been nesting with them. She collected 8 of the larger ones she would fashion for focusing crystals and situated them around the two eggs inside the pack. The Force had led her to exactly what she had come here for, but the cost of the acquisition would weigh on her for months to come. Shifting the pack onto her back she stood up, and finally turned to face Dah'lis - they still had to get out of here.
"How is your shoulder... that doesn't look good. I'm not much of a healer, but i could look at it if you wished?"

Dah'lis was stunned for a moment by the response she received from the Sith. Eventually she leaned against one of the crystiline walls and slide down to start to rest. This whole mess was her fault. If she hadn't been so sloppy and rash with her execution of the Muun, they wouldn't be in this mess. Vasari would have been able to get these diamonds, likely without needing to kill the Dragon. Nor drowning or suffocating in a crystal prison. But here they were and it was Dah'lis' fault. She didn't even notice as the Sith took the eggs and placed them in her pack, nor at first did she register that she was spoken to. Finally snapping back to reality, the half-breed took a good look at her shoulder. The skin was blackened and burned. It was still too numb for her to feel anything there, or if she ever would again. She attempted to flex it and rotate it, but that was a mistake. It seemed to wake up here nerves and remind them what was wrong in the area. Wincing and fighting back tears from welling again, she grasped it with her other hand with a sharp intake of breath. And then she let it out slowly and controlled, pushing the pain away, or at least a little further back in her mind.
Don't waist your energy on this. You'll need all you have to survive.

Vasari had taken several moments to cool her hot blooded nature but even after that she relaxed and found her balance in the force did her cheery demeanor return when she asked about her partners wound. When the girl moved to sit down and rolled her shoulder Vasari lifted her hands as if to stop her - but the damage had been done. She shook her head slightly taking note of the wound. Her own shoulder would look about the same if her shoulder pad hadn't have saved her from the majority of the blast. She took a few steps, her breaths coming more and more shallow as she attempted to conserve the little oxygen she had. Dah'lis could breath under water, she would have to have the strength to swim to the surface after this break was over.
"Oh no... you should have caught the eye of a pretty young Jedi if you wanted a healer in your life. I was just going wrap it for you..."
She moved her bag to the half-breeds side and opened it reaching down into it to pull out a kit - it was a small med that she had packed for this mission. Truthfully it had been her first Mission - the first time she had even left the academy alone and so she had prepared herself. Opening the kit she set to work with a practiced air - as if she had done this before - but truly she had spent a bit of time in the medical ward of the Academy and even studied there for a year or two before she and the Master of Healing had a 'disagreement'. She shot Dah'lis with a hypospray of adrenaline and then applied a salve to the wound with gentle fingers running her opposing hand down the blue skinned arm in a soothing gesture - meant to relax and distract her more from the pain more than anything else as she unwrapped a white bandage around her shoulder.
"I can't have you dying on me... i still might need you to get out of here, besides... you're kinda cute."

Dah'lis let out a weak smile as the woman complimented her and rubbed her wound with the salve. Leaning over she kissed the Sith on the cheek before leaning her head back against the wall. She gazed around the crystal cavern they were now in. And then her eyes fell once more on Vasari. Now she had wore a frown on her blue lips.
I'm sorry... I'm sorry I got us into this mess, and all that it has caused.

Vasari raised an eyebrow at the woman's sudden clarity of the situation they were in. True she had put the heat onto them with her reckless dulling out of justice. But Vasari was the one that had brought them into the mine - still thinking that she could finish her own mission, not wanting to accept failure. Their current position was as much her fault as it was the Knights. When she finished wrapping the woman's wound she leaned back against the diamond wing and considered their next move. The next logical course would be cutting a hole in the wing to flood the chamber then cutting an escape hatch in the top - and while she did not like the idea of desecrating the dragon's body, she didn't see another way out.
"It doesn't much matter... soon enough the First Order would have had a thousand slaves digging this mine, the dragon would have been found and no doubt killed anyways... and the eggs would have been destroyed as well, or worse, sold off to fund your Emperor's conquest of the universe..."
There was a bite to her tone but little other thought was given to her words, she was musing mostly, attempting to justify her recklessness in coming down here, following the call of the force for a reason she didn't fully understand. Her breathing was getting a little more shallow - they were running out of the time the dragon's life had bought them.
"Its almost over Dah'lis... we just have to get out of here..."

Dah'lis didn't have the energy to argue the virtues of her Emperor at the moment. Even with the pain, she was starting to find it hard to keep her eyes open. Struggling, the Knight looked at the Sith before pointing to her saber.
Take mine. That curved blade doesn't suit you. Mine at least is nothing fancy, and at this point I'm down to one arm anyways, so...
She trailed off, wondering how they would get out of here in the first place. Hoping her companion would once more be brilliant and amazing, she rested her head back against the wing.

Vasari shook her head and ducked under the lame arm slipping an arm around the woman and helping her to her feet with a gentle lifting movement letting the woman hang the useless arm around her shoulder. She pulled her own saber from its belt and took a step back considering her options for a second. She ignited the blade and cut a small hole in base of the wing - only large enough for the water to begin flooding the chamber the dragons body made.
"You'll feel much better when i get you back in the water so you can breath..."the Zabrak woman whispered as the chamber quickly began to fill with water. She took a few more breaths and then took the woman's saber from her hip and ignited the silvery blade as the water began to rise."I'm not the strongest swimmer but i'll do my best to help you to the surface, just keep swimming ok?"
Vasari gave the girl a soft smile as she lifted her eyes up towards the wing - they were floating now and soon the water would be covering her horns. She took a deep breath. Only when the chamber had been filled up did she bring the knight's saber to the top of the dome carving a circle large enough for the two of them to rise out of it. She kicked up off the ground and sent them upwards on their long trip towards the surface - arm and arm.

Dah'lis gave a weak smile and gave a mock squat. I hardly use my arms when I swim anyway. Feeling the water wash in around her legs was refreshing and almost invigorating. Though her arm still hurt and was next to useless, she felt it easier to stay conscious. The water was cold, and she knew they didn't have much time to reach the surface. Occasionally, she would cycle air into the mouth of Vasari, much as she'd done before. As tempting as it was to hold the woman's lips to hers indefinitely, it would slow them down to much, and Dah'lis fought of the temptation. Soon, the faintest of lights could be seen above them. And the higher they went the brighter it became. The water, being so cold, was lowering the swelling of Dah'lis' arm, it was also making it even more numb. Soon they would break the surface of the water into a caldera. The half-breed could barely feel her limbs, and looked to her companion concerned.

Vasari had never felt so cold before in her life - Iridonia was a warm planet, arid and dry and didn't have a winter even when their hemisphere was tilted away from the sun. The cold made her chest tighten and she got the feeling if not for her enhanced circulation the shock alone would have killed her. She wasn't nearly as quick moving to the surface as she had been going down... and in surfacing she had to exhale more air to keep her lungs from exploding with the pressure change. She was surprised the first time that Dah'lis brought her into a kiss - cycling water through her gills and into her mouth. The first time it happened they nearly stopped in the water and it took Vasari a moment to get moving again after the 'kiss' had ended. She could see the waters surface approaching and she drew her free arm pulling herself through the water as Dah'lis kicked them up breaking the surface. Vasari half pulled the half breed from the water and onto the frozen ground of the cavern above the pool where her dry cloak lay waiting for them. Vasari took the cloak and quickly wrapped it around the girl using it to dry her and hope to warm her a little.
"Come on... we've got to get you warm..."
Vasari wrapped her cloak around girl and half lifted her - adrenaline alone keeping her going. Her legs felt strong but her arms were frozen and hardly worked - which is mostly why she didn't let go of the woman next to her. She pulled the two of them up through the tunnel they had come through to get there - if they could get to the cavern the heat from the lava fall would warm them. She was cold - worried for Dah'lis' shivering body - and distracted by the feeling of heat from below that she hardly noticed the trio of lookouts across the cavern as they appeared at the mouth of the tunnel that stood above the the lava fall. A trio of shots were fired and her body reacted as if on instinct - only her connection to the living force saved her, her arm moved like a blur as she pulled the curved hilted saber to action igniting the blade which blocked one shot that would have taken Dah'lis in the heart - a quarter turn stopped the next that would have hit her midsection, probably not instantly fatal but it would have killed her none the less down here. The third shot was nearly as well grouped as the other two, and Vasari didn't even see where it would have landed because the heated plasma smashed into the hilt of the saber - the crystals imbalanced immediately and Vasari had less than a second to attempt to cast the weapon away before it exploded in her hand. She dropped the weapon and pushed Dah'lis against the wall of the tunnel out of the line of side - she felt a flash of heat and noticed that her armored glove and her quick actions had saved her hand though her glove was burned down to her skin.
"Is there no end to them?"
Vasari clutched her hand to her chest - it hurt but she had yet to know the extent of the damage. They were out of sight for the time being, they had the high ground and so it would be difficult for the ones below to fire on their position - they would have to come at them if they wished an swift end to this. Vasari hoped they were that stupid... but she took the moment to gather herself and check on Dah'lis none the less.

The Force, it seemed had saved them yet again. Vasari's quick actions had spared Dah'lis' life and even the Sith's hand. It didn't look good for them. The half-breed still shivered wrapped in the cloak, fighting to keep her eyes open. But then their came a sound she hadn't expected. A crakaling in her ear. The Comlink!
=Colonel Helaina= Azure, come in! We've secured the main building. It seems everyone's down bellow. Repeat, We've-
Helaina I hear you! Dah'lis said as she lifted her hand up to her ear. If you can send any assistance down to the mine, it would be appreciated. These security folks must have marked their paths, follow it.
=Colonel Helaina= Copy. We're coming for you! Lilith Squad, move out!
Dah'lis attempted to stand, wishing to not seem the helpless victim for when her squad arrived. Mustering whatever strength she had regained, Dah'lis began to reach out and attempt to find out just how many stood between them and freedom.

Vasari had only heard half of the conversation but it seemed that her soldiers had taken control of the mine above them - quite a nice little prize indeed if she kept her claim to it. If support was on its way then they only had to hold out here and guard the entrance - they did have the high ground - it was a rather defensible position so long as they did not get surrounded - but she was sure the cavern below them was void of life. She had felt nothing coming up - but then again her senses were not at their best right now. She was freezing cold - her hearts had finally started to slow - and even though she was sure her hand would be fine - it still burned like hell right now. As distracted as she was she didn't notice Dah'lis begin to stand until she was peaking out over the ledge of the tunnel. Vasari quickly pulled her back - focusing on the woman's hips, to avoid her shoulder - as a result the girl would fall back against Vasari's body - their frames close to one another. The motion came just in time as three more shots fired out against them two impacting against the lip of the tunnel and one firing just over where her head was a moment before. It may have missed anyways...
"Three targets - sniper rifles - clustered on the ledge below... please dont get yourself killed..."
Vasari said weakly holding the girls body close to her own. If the soldiers came down the same way they had then they still had at least fifteen minutes closer to twenty before they could expect backup. Vasari didn't like the thought of being 'rescued' by First Order troopers... but she also didn't like the idea of Dah'lis or herself taking any more blaster shots to the body.

Feeling her body, once more so close to Vasari's reminded Dah'lis of one more reason she needed to make it out alive. Thanks. She said, before planting a kiss on the Sith's lips. It was quick and a show of gratitude. She wished it could have been longer, but they needed to be ready in case the security forces decided to come up and get them. But soon moments were turning to minutes and no guards came for them.

Vasari spent several long moments there in the darkness holding Dah'lis close to her. The cold was once again beginning to seep into her body and if she was feeling the cold then she assumed that her companion would be struggling with it as well. Subconsciously she rubbed at her partner's skin attempting to keep her warm. A few hours ago three snipers would have posed no problem to either of them, however time and near constant life or death conditions had sapped their strength and their will, Vasari herself didn't feel the desire to stand let alone fight, but she noticed her body had stopped shivering - always a bad sign. Soon hypothermia would set in and even her high circulation rate would have a difficult time fighting that enemy. She nuzzled against the girl's cheek, brushing her lips against one of the Lek that fell between them and then forced herself to stand - or rather crouch in the tunnel. Moving forward every muscle in her body was slow to respond, lethargic and complaining at the cold and the motion.
"Let's made a deal... if we get out of here... no more cold planets... ok darling?"
She winked at the girl and then summoned the rest of her strength and leaped from the mouth of the tunnel across the chasm towards where she knew the soldiers would be waiting. One one remained where she had thought they were, and he was slow to react not expecting the Sith Zabrak to come vaulting from the mouth fo the tunnel towards him. She slammed into the grunt before he had the chance to raise his weapon and the momentum sent them both slamming against the side of the narrow ledge he had been precariously perched upon, Vasari had no clue where the other two soldiers had gone, but she couldn't think of that now as she was struggling against the cold in her body and now a much larger opponent who was attempting to get a good enough grip on her to send her flying off the ledge and down into the fire below. It would have been a welcome death as cold as she was... but this was only the beginning for her, and she wasn't ready to die yet.

Dah'lis watched as her companion jumped straight into danger. It was clear this was a last ditch effort to survive. The half-breed stood and she also made the running leap across the great cavern. She landed behind Vasari's assailant and grabbed him. Holding him as tight as she could to give Vasari a better shot at hitting him. Thank the Force that the man was struggling so hard. He jerked to the left just in time for a blaster bolt to miss where Dah'lis had been. The other snipers had shown themselves. But soon more blasters rang out. Something sounded familiar about those last shots, but the Knight wasn't taking to much time to register that, instead turning to be ready to deflect incoming shots with her gauntlets. But she saw a welcome sight, two members of Lilith Squad standing over a dead sniper. Turning to look down the other side of the ledge, she saw two more including Corporal Helaina. The Corporal took the vibro knife off her kit and went to toss it.
=Corporal Helaina= Hey, spiky, catch.
The throw was calculated, so that the Force user would be able to pull the knife to them, without giving the enemy a chance to intercept. Almost like Helaina was used to working with reckless Force Users that got in over their head.

Vasari hadn't noticed Dah'lis leap after her and so when the man was pulled off her body and she saw a flash of blue and red she was only taken back momentarily before she sent a series of a jabs into the soldier's ribs - then he was free, Dah'lis releasing him just in time to dodge a blaster bolt from their assailents. She heard the series of blaster fire echoing throughout the canyon but she was focused only on her opponent who was quick to lunge back at her - almost unphased by the weak punches the girl had thrown.
The soldier's hands were wrapped around her throat in moments and Vasari took a deep breath giving her the breath support to snarl -barring her fangs at the man in a show of intimidation. The man hesitated at the sight of the girl's sharp teeth and loosened his hold for only a moment. Vasari heard someone call out towards them - she didn't understand the context of the word but felt the intent and reached out with the force to pull the dagger into her hand. She caught the blade backhanded and twirled it effortlessly blade over the backs of her knuckles to turn the blade forward and without a moments hesitation sent it plunging deep into the soldier's body right above the fourth rib - the pathway to the heart. His grip went limp on her and she pulled the blade free just as she pushed his body off of her and into the firey abyss below.
"Timing..."
She whispered breathlessly leaning back against the narrow ledge wall to keep herself from falling forward as the adrenaline quickly faided from her system - quicker this time as she had little strength left. She looked up at Dah'lis and grinned a half wild half amused grin and then laughed a little at their very close brush with death.
