That'd be great if you could hold off, Andi, at least until our recon's done. I'll be wrapping that up today and tomorrow. We've got another Mando jumping in to assist too, an alt of Prudii's, I think. Hileo, his name is. Once we've got the recce sorted out, that would be a good time to junp the fleet in, distract their forces while we take the Praxeum.
Sound good?

Congrats Dave, btw. Many good wishes for you both. I'm sure you'll make it memorable. Dewe: Sorry if it feels we're jumping the gun. I was thinking the recce we do on the area, considering the covert nature of the operation, could be done without requiring a response. Once we make a move on the place, though, I'll be working through it all with you. If you have any specifics in mind, please let me know. I was curious about the approximate population of Jedi, teachers, students, etc. If younglings are something to take into account, my guys would likely let them go free, with one or two low level Jedi as chaperones. GALSAF isn't interested in arresting or killing children. We could work that post-take over, or during.

No, I'm good with jumping the gun. I kind of wanted it to feel like a surprise attack. Or to catch us in the middle of preparing. Something like, "Crap, we've still got to do X, Y, and maybe Z; but the baddies are knocking on the door." Sure, we know Yavin is under seige, we may even expect the war will come to us; but I want it to feel like it came sooner than expected. If that makes sense. Sure, it's been a few months RL since Yavin, but IC the attack is still recent. The attack on Ossus only comes a couple days later. Enough time to receive intel, but not enough to finish preparations. Not real sure on numbers, I mean we aren't the largest Praxeum in the galaxy. Probably a dozen or two dozen teachers/staff, and at least double that amount for students, though probably triple or quadruple. With as many Younglings as students, maybe? Though I tend to think of Ossus as a more traditional, old-school style Praxeum where one Master/Knight trains one Padawan; but that isn't necessarily the rule, esp. considering Dev just picked up another Padawan (who's somewhere...). Then there's the Library's staff, which I usually consider separate from the Praxeum staff, since they're not really teachers. So about a dozen or so there, too; maybe two dozen (again). Currently, there are about 7 full, played Jedi on the ground (PCs and NPCs, in various stages of idle) and 2 played Padwans (PCs and NPCs, in various stages of idle), if I remember correctly. Plus, 1 Gray Jedi. Well, I mean, IC we aren't going to know you're not interested in killing children. Mandos are known to eat babies. Jedi babies are their favorite...or so the rumors go (and the rumors can start...NOW!).

For the record, this is Will/Cihlbar. Planning on helping both sides of Ossus.
And I am looking for the babies!

Sounds good Devlin. I've got only 8 commandos on the ground, but these are General-grade soldiers, not even just commando-grade guys, so they pack a punch. That in mind, the odds are stacked a ways against my guys considering the whole "Force thing." Though they are resistant to methods of Force-induced persuasion, they are certainly NOT resistant to Force Push. lmao
Considering the aforementioned: This operation will be the most secret of secret, the most covert of covert. I'm talking about snatching folks in onesies and twosies and disposing of them or incapacitating them. This certainly will not be a front line battle. So it will feel like a surprise. If I write it well enough, we'll be in the temple, working our way through folks before anyone really realizes what's going on.
If I write it poorly, stomp the crap out of me so I'll learn from it. The success of this mission is most certainly in the air. I don't want a victory for my guys if we haven't earned one. And so you know, this is my first time writing these characters (minus Delmani, he's an old Alt), the way they are now at least. So this is a new experience for me, and I'm stoked.
I'll bear in mind the numbers you gave me, and get the recce started tonight, unless Hileo wants to be able to post before we begin.
One final note (it didn't even hit me until I was reading your posts with Ja'Sean in the Academy): There are YSANNA on this planet! Now, this is a "no brainer" for us all of course, but they are a people we (meaning me specifically, I can't speak for everyone) didn't take into account, considering the focus was the Jedi.
So, I'll be diverting more forces to Ossus in the post battle, in order to help secure the population. I don't have any knowledge of what has been planned for this, however. I know the Mandalorians are OOC planning to exterminate most folks, but IC most of GALSAF is pretty ignorant of those plans. They are more under the impression that all these Force Users are to be subdued and controlled, maybe chucked out of the galaxy. But wholesale slaughter? The idea has only struck a few of our members, and Ander is unaware of these plans, if they do exist.
So! Unless otherwise told, GALSAF's objectives will focus on the following, when it comes to Force using strongholds:
1) Secure at all costs. Kill when needed, detain survivors for processing. 2) Post-battles: Detain, process, deport/imprison, etc.
So we're fine killing as long as whatever battle's still raging. But after a battle is won, the mission orients towards population control and arrest of Force Users. This is some dark Sith spit.
Like some Auschwitz Sith spit.

Ok, so as per chat discussion with Adi, here is the following:
Given that Jade will be delivering the specially rigged Boom-Tickety suit of armour to the MMP on Mandalore, what if she then either snoops the computer systems to discover that Corellia is next on the hit-list, or overhears some inter-fleet com-trafficking and discovers it that way? Due to her interactions with various Mandos in the past it is not beyond feasibility for her to pull that last one in particular off in a realistic fashion. Reason, I suggest this is that in this order she will still make it back to Corellia in time for the assault. This Mando SL is one that Admy and I have been plotting up for ages after Adi got us involved. So... we are really looking forward to it. But, if Corellia was to be attacked first and Jade knew about it before exploding the MMP---I'm not entirely sure what she would do, since she has decided that Corellia is her home.
Secondly, Dev, I'm having major issues with Annikki. I'll try to think of stuff for you in the next couple days, but I intend her to die in this assault on Ossus.

The Ysanna, Aaron, was half the reason why Ossus is the second target in the first place - the Mando Holy War is on all Force Users, not just Jedi, so I suggested Ossus as the perfect target to make that end goal apparent. And yes, the Auschwitz metaphor, the concentration camp metaphor, is one I already had in mind for Ossus for the longer term post-battle situation.

No worries, Jade. There's not much of import happening anyway; just the sort of prebattle stuff that prepares a planet. Mostly, it's just waiting for the surprise attack. Though, I'm sure there are avenues we can explore that don't involve the upcoming battle. Unfortunately, none spring to mind at the moment (but that doesn't mean they won't later). Besides, once the battle starts, there will be plenty to do for everyone.

You would have to find that out else where on the planet, as the MMP computers wouldn't have that kind of data. Come to thing of it, ash's personal computers are probably the only ones with that kind of data.

I doubt ANY of us have a list of targets. Everywhere there are forcies is a target and we don't have an actual list, or chronology, IC or OOC. We just make it up as we go.

Holy postmasters, Batman.
I just want to make it clear, I work at a local high school and I am a volunteer alumni advisor at my university and a young leader in my church. Everything will start to ramp up here in the next couple days and I can barely keep up with the amount of storylines I already have going on (last I checked, I think I am up to 8; nothing compared to Dav, Corr and the like; but still). I love helping out and I hope I provide for good stories and help your characters develop, but all this might grow to be too much. It all depends on how quick everyone will go.
I have worked actively to be an agent of change, but there are many of us here complaining to the few that drive the gears. Let's all ban together to help each other out and not for a few of us to be soo bogged down.

No worries Will. I've pmed Nan to see what exactly is going on with this plotline on Dressel, because I do not know where to go with this.

Nan can be rather random at times. I'm gonna break off a few of the Mando's to chase you as the leader fronts Will. I assure you he's not gonna get away with a calm leveling of his lightsaber at the guys neck. My vode are better than that.

Didn't plan on it. Though this Dressel trip is getting to be a bit. . .lengthy. Cool, but I thought it was going to be a smash and grab then off to Yavin, which is the goal. This is supposed to be the crew that makes the successful run on the blockade, as I remember it.
