I know that the Republic are usually perceived as the good guys despite what is being slung around these days. So just hear me out on this.
I was wondering if there was anyone in your group who was down with a little interrogation. By little I mean going full movie bad cop and involving any torture you want to make me break. Pretty much if I was found sneaking around on one of your planets and I was positively identified as an Imperial Knight would you stick me in a deep dark hole and try to find out Imperial secrets from me? If so that would be awsome because I really want that to happen. If no one is cool with it I can ask around, I am sure some criminal types would like some juicy tid bits of information on the Empire.

Regardless of how 'good' any organization is perceived to be, there tends to be a darker underbelly somewhere.
For myself, I am not comfortable writing torture rp---been there, done that, it left me sick for several days and I still don't feel well just thinking about it.
However, that being said, I'm sure someone around probably wouldn't mind getting involved in some way. I mean, the Republic could always hire a third party to track you down and extract information...

Just in case you don't know the back story for my military forces (which is just an IC reason for having a military force now that I'm not part of a faction), that can be found here.First off, I'd be delighted to extend my services as the third party in this RP, provided neither side has any qualms with my involvement partial or otherwise. Second, I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but I was wondering what your current situation with the Osarian conflict was? Faust and I were talking and he suggested I drop in a force as reinforcements (from some last-minute contract or whatever) to aid in the Republic's defense of key points on the planet if I were to get involved. I was curious if you guys would be interested in having me as an ally of the Republic in this recent conflict. |

Crom, you're defacto ruler of the Senate until i can find time to RP again, tentatively mid-december, or Cihlbar re-appears, which ever comes first. (the option of holding new elections for Chancellor and VC is also available at this point I think) If that's the case, Darma will be retiring at the end of his term. I may be able to write a fresh face to fill his spot, but I am not confident of this outcome.
I know nothing of Ossarian, and if it matters third party interrogation is fine by me, perhaps even likely considering the current scrutiny the Senate is under.

I would favor holding an election, but only if there is anyone available to take the post from Darma. Otherwise, we'll have to wait.
If we're going to wait, perhaps one of us could NPC Darma's chief of staff or some other no-name position as the temporary IC decision-maker?

Hang on. I am unaware of anything interesting happening on Osarian since the late Mandalorian Force Jihad... Also, sorry about that office, I'll get on it as soon as I catch up with other things. *eyes Koronov in the meantime* And PSA: I may be losing internet for a few days since my roommate is moving out earlier than expected, and I'm trying to get my own internet set up. >.< So... yeah. FYI: Jihad and Crusade are only synonymous in western thought according to some friends of mine who say Jihad is supposed to refer to an internal personal struggle of good against evil. I just thought you should know, in case it's ever important.

I am aware of that, Vice Chancellor, however, I believe "Jihad" was the term popularly used by the site as a whole in character and out of character to refer to the recent Mandalorian... what do you want to call it? "Event?" "Attempted Galactic Takeover Plus Killing All Force-users?" >.< Anyone seen Koronov lately? He wanted an rp, and even without home internet at the moment, I'm still waiting on a post from him. |
