I am hoping for this Character to rise to become political and thus matriarchal leader and Queen Mother of Hapes. I have no experience writing a type of character such as this and never before have I written a female. I look forward to beginning Ana's journey and am looking for all the involvement and help I can get. For now Ana is a Princess and I don't presume for her to just seize power without having established her character and having built up some experience. Therefore I am hoping someone cold help me and either write the NPC Queen Mother until her death or what have you, or perhaps the Queen Mother is dead and Ana has some form of mentor. Which ever way it would be good to have another involved so I don't have to have her learn the ropes by her self. If I do, then I will and my proposed short term goals are to establish Ana and a small writing team on Hapes. My long term goals are to create a Hapan Navy and possible defense force, to enter Hapes into working relations with the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic and hopefully create some good and interesting roleplay. I wrote the Hapans for a long time, but I never had the time to truly develop them, and everyone else who's helped in the past has disappeared and left me in void. I finally decided to focus my effort elsewhere, and I've been hoping someone else would take over, rather than the Republic losing a powerful ally. I would love to help you get started on this in any way that I can. As of when I last wrote the Hapans, we had just finished removing a Sith occupation from the Hapes Cluster (with fringe elements no doubt still hiding somewhere). The Queen Mother was missing and presumed murdered by the Sith, leaving her 5 year old granddaughter Emelie Ka as her heir, under the protection of Commander Willis Djo, a military general and former advisor of the Queen Mother. We could either work from that, or we could toss it out, pretend a number of years have passed, and start with a fresh backstory. But like Will said, feel free to just jump in. It's perfectly plausible that there would be other Princesses. |

I have agreed to NPC on Hapes, we need to touch base on the particulars. Check.
We need someone to take the chair of the Chancellor still. Uncheck. Should I just do it? It really just does not seem fair at all.

Why dont you guys do like the sithy-types did, and just make it someone that is kinda like the figurehead....not a character, but someone that everyone writes on a lil bit....That way, if this person or that needs the 'chancellor', he can be accessed.

I'm comfortable with you handling both, Will - let's face it, the Republic and the Jedi are often so synonymous, in terms of the people writing them, that we'd be hard pushed to find a writer for the Chancellor who isn't in some kind of important role within the Jedi Order. My only worry is for your sanity, having to take a leading role in both! I'll do anything I can to support you.

I have no issue with it if you think you can handle it. My suggestion would be to pick a Vice Chancellor who could assist you when needed and be able to step in if needed. Also that way we can dodge having an issue later down the road encase you choice to step down. Plus we can use stuff like Chairman of the Senate Executive Agenda and Representative to the Jedi Council. With every position we add tasks can be delegated then everything doesn't fall on your shoulders Will.

Also the Chairmen of the Committee could be 3rd in line to replace the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor if both can not serve. Clearly this is not required now due to low numbers but having this in place so if we get more members it can easily be implemented. |

Admiral Vrenka serves as Joint Chiefs rep on the Military Council, not Cihlbar. Also Commands the Outer Rim fleet, the Mon Calamari shipyards, and now as cowriter of Hapes I have access to the Hapes Consortium resources.
Cihlbar chairs the Judiciary Committee and Parliamentarian; de facto governs Mon Calamari
Politically speaking, the agenda is set by the Chancellor anyway.
Matango is not on the Council, so it would have to be Dav, Jago or myself.
As Will is the laison to the Watchmen, watches Mon Calamari, trains the Investigators, Headmasters Corellia
Beginning to see the picture here, my predicament is that I have become one of the most legitimately powerful writers on the good side of things. I no likey.

It's not that bad, Will; all things considered, you're the most powerful writer of a bunch who doesn't do anything!
On a more serious note, if that is the case, you can actually get some things done (until such a time as power is more evenly distributed). Make use of that authority posthaste.
