Dazbog shrugged. He tried. Still, she was right. Lying was in a sentient being's DNA. It just came naturally. He'd never met a completely honest mortal. Of course he didn't have to. He could read them all like an open book turned to the page that was their entire life."I prefer it black and bitter. But I love them all. It's so invigorating. And I never said addiction. I said overuse."Dazbog smiled and tapped his finger to the tip of his nose."I have plenty with me. My own special blend in fact. Maybe I could make each of the crew a nice cup of coffee on the trip through hyperspace?" Rianon smiled at the thought of a cup of coffee."I haven't had a decent cup of coffee in a long time. I would be a nice way to get settled into the ship, I think."She eyed the Zabrak somewhat warily. The man had not yet offered them a place to set down their bags."Mr Starkiller, I know we keep prattling on. But if you would be so kind as to let us set our bags down inside the ship I would be most obliged. I don't mean to be rude, but it is rather warm out here in the sun and I would be very happy to remove my lab coat."She paused to gauge his reaction.

Nathan grinned, in spite of himself. This woman that he had by chance, bumped into was an experienced hacker, a decent shot with a pistol and an alright pilot in a tight spot. She certainly was well versed in many skills he'd find handy to have on his boat. And she was quite attractive, too. Always an added bonus when the crew he assembled was skilled and good looking. Made good impressions on folks. After mentally reviewing what she had listed off, several times to himself, Nathan finally spoke."That is quite the resume there, Lana. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Captain Nathan Reynolds of the Wayfarer Class ship, Serenity. Now, the skill set that you possess, would make you none too friendly with our lovely CorSec officers, correct? Makes you a person that needs to always be on the move, and we never stop moving. Seems to me that we could come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Ever been up in a Wayfarer?" He grinned slyly at her. Her slight shake of the head was all the indication he needed."Wanna?"And with that, Nathan awaited her response, hoping she'd be willing to join his crew. *Lana couldn't help but grin as Nathan told her who he was. To think that she had just happened to run into a ship's captain randomly out in the street like this...fortune certainly was favoring the bold this time. As if he even needed to ask her if she wanted to join the crew...well formalities and all that. As for the purpose of his ship and crew, well unless they were traveling vibro-ax murderers, Lana wouldn't care what they did.*"You had me at Wayfarer Class. Where are you docked at?"

Dazbog clasped his hands together happily at her eagerness to ingest his blended miracle of science and madness."Mind the flashes you'll experience."Before going in depth on what he mean by flashes Dazbog grabbed another handful of granola and shoved the whole handful into his mouth, chomping on the blueberries and granola bits with a knowing smile. He brushed the crumbs on his hands onto his robes, also leaving a trail of crumbs on the floor."I'd be very happy to remove my robe as well. Green is in, but I'd much rather be in something a bit more comfortable."

Venom stubbed out his cigar and flicked the butt away.
"My apologies. Bring your luggage up the ramp and set it off to the side for now. We'll get you squared away once the Cap'n returns."
The Zabrak pocketed the cred chit and motioned for the passenger and newest addition to the crew to follow him up the ramp. Upon following the Zabrak, they would pass through two sets of air-locks and enter the ship's common room, complete with a fully stocked kitchen. Venom moved over to the large oval table in the middle of the room and plunked down.
"There, now we can all get comfortable like and await for the Cap'n out of the harsh sun. Feel free to help yourself to anything in the kitchen, but please don't wander off. I'd hate to get rough with you..."
The Zabrak trailed off and watched the ramp, waiting for the Captain to return to the could finally leave this place.

Rianon followed the Zabrak into the ship and set her bags down out of the way. She quickly shed her lab coat and sat down at the table across from rather imposing man. It was nice to be out of the sun, but she was most happy to be out of the lab coat. I smelled a bit due to an unfortunate encounter with a sick child that morning. She would have preferred to change her clothing entirely, but this would do for present.
She glanced around the room. It was odd to think that these very walls would be comfortingly familiar within the next week or so. Perhaps Mr Alonn would prepare them some coffee. At the thought of coffee Rianon tried to ignore the odd feeling at the "flashes" Mr Alonn had mentioned.
"You don't need to be out front watching for more perspective passengers and wayward crew members?" She asked the Zabrak. "I'd hate for you to get into trouble with the Captain on our account."

She asked the Zabrak. "I'd hate for you to get into trouble with the Captain on our account." Dazbog clapped his hands and the droids flew up with the chest, before switched to their legs to carry the chest into the common room. Setting it down on the deck, they saluted to Dazbog, who saluted back, and left the ship, going back to their jobs. Dazbog held his hands together as he was given the half nickel tour."I'm sure we'll be fine until the Captain returns. I would hate to get on the man's bad side.""Drawing a key from his robes, Dazbog knelt down and unlocked the chest. Lifting the top of the chest up, the chest suddenly expanded. Drawers popped up, each with a small placard in a strange language. It was unrecognizable, and to anyone else it would look like squiggles and dots with some straight lines. He waved his hand over a drawer and it opened, revealing coffee beans. Taking a scooper he scooped up some into a small plastic cup and hit a button. An advanced coffee machine rose up from the depths of the chest, and he added the cup of beans into the top. It whirred and bubbled. Dazbog looked around for a cup and grabbed several from a cabinet. Putting one beneath the nozzle, the cup filled up.Handing this cup to Rianon, with a smile on his face, he repeated the making process, this time using a different drawer of beans. It might be slightly strange that one type would be for one person, and another for someone else. It was all just coffee right? And this cup he handed to Venom, with the same smile.Holding a cup of his own in his hand, he sipped from it deeply, exhaling after swallowing. Had he actually made himself a cup? Where did that come from?

Rianon accepted the mug from Mr Alonn and inhaled deeply. It had been a long time since she had had a decent cup of coffee. What they served at the Clinic was basically brown water. No flavour at all. She watched as beans from different drawers were made into coffee for each of them. It seemed a little odd, but everyone has their individual quirks. The unusual chest was one of those quirks that she thought it would probably be easier not to mention. She took a small sip and enjoyed the delicious flavour.
"Thank you Mr Alonn. This is delicious. And exactly how I like it."

Dazbog took a sip from his own and watched Rianon. After she took her sip she would experience a shockingly vibrant memory from her past. It could be anything; a day spent in quiet silence, or a surgery gone wrong. Dazbog leaned forward a bit, trying to discern whether it would be a good memory of a bad one. Even he would not know until it happened.
"I would not have a job if I was not good at it. And if I did, it would be a sad day indeed."

Rianon eyed Mr Alonn's interest with some concern. Coffee did seem to be rather important to the man. Maybe a quick psychological profile wouldn't be a bad idea once they were off planet. She tried to push the thoughts and took another sip of coffee. The lovely taste she had experienced before was the same.
She was suddenly overcome with a memory. She was out in the rose garden at the estate. A soft voice called to her, she looked up to see-
"No!" She blushed at her outburst. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I apologize profusely for my outburst."
She frowned. A memory like that should have been a happy one. But every time she thought of- No! This was not the time to be dredging up the past. She was supposed to be making a good impression on her new crew mates. She fought for control over her emotions. she eyed the mug of coffee warily. Did the coffee give her the flashback? That was impossible, wasn't it?

Dazbog raised an eyebrow and feigned concern. It was easy to make look real, and in fact he was a bit. He hated it when his Coffee gave people bad memories, but he simply could not work around them without causing more brain damage. Did he think more brain damage? He meant any brain damage. Yes, none at all with the current dose. It's a really good thing no one could see his thoughts in word form on a little screen.
"Is something wrong, Doctor? Is the coffee good?"

The man's concern shook Rianon out of her reverie.
"The coffee is fine, Mr Alonn. I just had a sudden flashback. It caught me off guard."
Rianon was concerned about the flashback. She set aside time every year to go home and remember everything that had happened during those wonderful three years. But this was not that time. That time was months ago. The memories usually didn't come flowing back unbidden. The coffee really was good, but now it gave her a slightly unsettling feeling.
She smiled at the man, "I'm not really a doctor. I never completed my medical training in Coronet City. I had to leave due to family issues and never returned. And please call me Rianon. That way we don't have to worry about correct titles."

Dazbog raised an eyebrow. It was fascinating that Captain Reynolds was entrusting the well being of his crew to a medic that was not fully qualified. Still, it wasn't like she was not skilled and knowledgeable, and perhaps she was just what this ragtag group of people needed. You couldn't expect a fully certified Doctor to suddenly uplift his or her roots and live on a ship.
"Maybe I made the coffee a bit too strong. Coffee is my living, I should have known better than to start with the strong stuff. I can give you something a bit less.....memorable."
Dazbog held his hand out to take the mug if Rianon wanted.
"I still think of a you as a Doctor. Just because you don't have a fancy degree or certificate framed, and you don't get seven figures doesn't mean you aren't deserving of the title. You help heal people. That's basically the definition of Doctor."

Finding to already there, using her hoarse voice to not give away how young she was being her old had disclose with in the rags. If only had it been for a longer then came to look eyes upon the new one very old looking. It them worried her if he would see right through taking her staff lending heavy on it. Is there coffee left of old one like me.

And what you said about essentially being a Doctor is what someone else told me once. I always thought he was saying it to make me feel better about my decision to leave. Maybe he knew me better than I thought."Her attention was dragged away from memory lane by the appearance of an old woman dressed in rags.

Dazbog took the cup and stared at it for several moments before closing his eyes and waving his hand over the top, cutting the steam that was still rising into the air. He handed the cup back to Rianon with a smile. Future sips would not bring up old memories.
"Just needed the magic touch to make it better."
Dazbog turned as an old woman walked into the room of the ship. Dazbog's eyes glazed over for a second as he read the woman. It was not hard to figure out her secret, but it was not his place to disclose private information to others. That was her own choice. He held up a cup of coffee that seemed to appear from nowhere and held it out to Tamar.
"Now what kind of Coffee Connoisseur would I be if I didn't give a cup to the most lovely lady in the room?"
Dazbog smiled kindly with his arm extended, his hand still holding the cup out for Tamar.

Rianon took the cup back from Mr Alonn with a nod of thanks and a slightly confused expression. She tentatively took a sip and was rewarded with wonderful coffee and no weird side effects. The old woman who had entered the room seemed odd in a way, but Rianon wasn't really one to judge such things. As long as the old woman was healthy, that was enough for her.
"Nothing like a little coffee to bring us all together and keep us occupied until the Captain returns."

Dazbog looked at his wrist and appeared to be measuring the distance between a freckle and a hair. He muttered a few incomprehensible words under his breath and seemed to be in his own world for a moment before returning to the land of the living and smiling complacently.
"It may be a while before he arrives. I'm sure we could find some way of entertaining ourselves. Maybe a joy ride?"
Dazbog's eyebrows went up and down, implying it was a joke, or maybe serious. Who knew with the wrinkles and faded scars anymore?

A dim taxi could be seen making its way towards one of Coronet city's less welcomed cantina, to the reason why this cab was taking its patron to such a cantina such as this. One of the patrons personally asked for such low life hang out. It didn't take much longer till the cab arrived at there destination. The first to step out of the cab was a tall hooded young boy, he kept to himself as not wanting anyone to take notice of him. He stopped and turned towards the cab and helped out a young woman as well. Having payed for the cab and watching it leave he smiled and took in a deep breath. Tilting his neck side to side a loud crack could be heard. As he sighed Von let his dark sided aura unleash from the gates that he had it concealed behind, while at the academy as to not draw to many questions. He was unsure how Jade would react to the his tainted and very corrupt energy in the force. In the light of the academy it was hard for him to conceal who he was truly from those who were unaware of his situation but then again. Johun didn't even know to the extent how in tune with the dark side he was. Here in the lowest depths of the city he finally felt free, turning to Jade he bowed.
Shall we go inside and get ourselves a drink, I have many things that I wish to talk to you about.

*Jade got out of the cab and watched it drive off. She, herself, couldn't understand what would bring Von here. She understood he wanted a drink, but there were far better places than this to go to. She also felt the unleashing of his darkness. It was deep enough at the academy, but it truly grew deeper now that they were away. She quickly focused her mind as it rushed around her. It was like a large wave crashing around her. But she held firm against it, keeping the appearance and feeling that it didn't bother her. She watched as he bowed and mentioned going inside and talking.*
"If you wish to drink, you can. I, however, would rather not. After you."

Von smiled as he made his way forward first, he kept twirling around with a huge grin on his face. Pushing past the doors to the cantina he found a nice table in the corner. It allowed him to get a sense of who was walking into the front door and a view to the way to the back of the house. Sitting down he waited for Jade to join him before calling over a protocol droid over for drinks and food. Von looked down at the menu and was pleased to see that they had rancor steaks. They were cheap probably do to the fact that not many enjoyed the taste of Rancor. They were usually gamy and fatty, but it was a pleasant taste for Von none the less. Von ordered the steak and mild alcoholic beverage as well. He would allow Jade to order as well. The droid turned jade and stared at her with its metallic eyes
RX578:My name is RX578 what can I get for you ma'am, would you care for the same order as this gentleman or would you prefer something a little different. I believe we just received some cornelian wine in today. Or perhaps something to eat, I am here till you leave.
Von leaned back in the booth and flipped back his hood, stretching out he yawned as he relaxed in the comforting environment of this establishment. Of course Jade's aura would stick out like a sore thumb in this very shady place of business but Von was just happy to be in her company.
