The Vice Governor of Umgul had one of the largest offices in the Mist Government Headquarters, quite often, rumors would spread that the place was wide enough to house at least fifty people. The Vice Governor was known to have a thing for darkness, as such, his room given a dark yet futuristic effect. Without any electronic devices or display screens, the office looked like it was made for a single person with no consideration for guests . . . This design was made to match the Vice Governor's love for minor interaction and more action.
But you would be wrong to think so. With one press of a button, the room could be lit up and have a completely different view where it could be said that one would abandon their home life and devote themselves to work.Despite the Vice Governor's grim expression, people most often made excuses to meet up with him simply to enjoy the feel of being in the spacious office. More often than not, his audience had a tendency to be female.

Andros had gotten used to be greeted every mornings by the government officials and also the all got used to being greeted by him by a simple nod. If people approached him to shake his hand, he would comply without apprehension, even though usually he hated to be touched by people that he did not know. In a sense, he knew them, all of them professionally due to the fact that because he "worked" with them, he ran a background check on them. Not really to see if they were scoundrels of the universe but because he liked being prepared and knowing all of their names. He knew their names now by heart and he knew their functions in this building.
Finally getting into his office, he went through security checks, biometrics, and entered the room before the door shut behind him. It was dark, of course, just like he preferred it and there was just a dim light that was emitted by his dataterminal which turns on every single time he entered his office. Removing his coat and placing it on the back of his seat before throwing that cigarette butt that he had been holding onto, Andros sat down on his chair and looked at the messages and notifications that mainly interested him.
It turned out that Elika had returned last night with Lieutenant Lyn considering that clearance code. It made Andros briefly smirk due to the fact that it was only a few moments ago that he had been admiring Elika's work on the Academy. It felt like he hadn't seen her since forever, which was understandable considering that she was often traveling for her work and clients were always soliciting her services. One thing bugged him though, she was due to be back this early from her latest work project, was she?
He hoped everything was alright, usually she would take a little while longer to scout the area and get a feel of the place before either staying on site during the project and not return here... Usually he would get some updates from his brother who got those from Crystal since Atlantis and Crystal were still together and Elika was/is one of Crystal's best friends with Lily. Right now, he had so many questions running through his mind and perhaps he should ask Lyn if anything had happened back there in Restuss.
Opening a new message to send to his brother, Andros quickly typed the content.
Andros sent the message and stood up from his seat before sending another message that every appointments he had for the time being had to be held off until further notice, or at least until he came back to his office... Right now he had to find his brother and right now he wanted to make sure if Elika was alright and nothing bad had happened to her.

Andros had listened vaguely to the words exchanged between Crystal and Ljiljana, he wasn't the type to pry and whatever plans they had come up with that was between the two of them but since he knew them that much, he was pretty sure that the both of them would unanimously eat back at their place. That thought definitely brought him some comfort, at least he knew that Elika wouldn't be on her own.
Thinking of her made him rethink about his plans for the raceways, which was why when the lift had opened to his designated floor after Lily and Crystal had stopped on their assigned floor, Andros was already removing his duster and going through security clearance to get to his office. Once inside, he obviously did not turn on the lights and kept the blinds shut before sitting down on his seat where the sole source of light was emanating from his desk.
The dataterminal.
Casting a glaring glance — only because that was his usual stare — at the file nearby, perhaps he may amend a few things. He wasn't sure at all but one thing was certain, perhaps he should see with Ra—... The Senator if this business plan was agreeable to him. Andros should his head and took a deep breath before leaning back against his seat to shut his eyes momentarily. He had a few things to do, one was to talk to Raan, and actually have that talk since it was long overdue and have a word with Lieutenant Lyn as well whenever she had recovered from that haps offworld.
That thing with Lyn would be dealt with quickly but the matter with Raan Jade was starting to irritate him to the point that there was just an abyss in between the both of them. It had been several months now and still they haven't had that talk at all. Andros will never forget what had happened that evening and enough was enough. This issue had to be fixed and this issue shouldn't have dragged on for so long this way.
How despicable... Andros thought before he gritted his teeth and looked at his terminal the moment he opened his eyes to look over his notes for the raceways but also the overall progress that has been made in the legal department...

Exiting the turbolift that lead her to the Vice Governor's office, Delaana, or Lana for short, was holding onto the cup of coffee and the file that had been entrusted to her by the CFO. Her steps were confident ones and her heels were clicking on the marble floor. Stopped by the receptionist, she looked at the person with a warm and friendly smile, even though it gave her some edge and she was asked if she had appointment with the VG.
Clearly, she did not and clearly she was only tasked to hand this to the second higher of the planet personally. "No, I do not but the CFO asked me to hand this to the Vice Governor, personally." Lana replied showing off the file that obviously had the CFO's seal. Lana wasn't the type to beat around the bush and she also wanted to give off a good impression being her first day on the job. The receptionist knew that she wasn't kidding as after all the turbolifts were operated in a certain way and security had been reinforced by the Intelligence Department, if she had no business on this floor, the lift wouldn't have taken her this far.
She was told to hang on a moment and after hearing a curt, strict voice that belonged to a man, she was told to go through the door for the VG was expecting her. She bit her inner cheek and walked on as instructed until she found herself into a relatively darken room. She was guessing that the VG was seated on his seat and she knew from some things she heard that the man had preferred to operate in the darkness.
"Good morning, sir, I was told to give you this file by the CFO." She explained quickly even though there was just something about this room that unsettled her a little bit. She knew from some rumors and some press conference that the VG compared to his identical twin wasn't the warmest type of man. She was somewhat used to it anyways considering that her background comprised military parents and growing up in a planet's capital, she had her own fair share of uneasiness sometimes.
Brushing that feeling off, she placed the file onto the desk and awaited to be dismissed for the time being.

There are many ways someone could describe the current Vice Governor of Umgul. Actually he never paid attention to the rumors that concerned him directly but one thing was for sure and he knew about, Andros knew that the farmers on this planet liked him a lot. He actually felt like he never did much for them but apparently what he had returned and given them had been a lot. Over the last few months, he had overseen with Parker the site for the farmers, unlocked funds for the machinery to use for farming afterwards, there had been some celebration sure, but he didn't mingle much or at all.
Although he had been praised as a hero. He was far from that. Maybe it was the self deprecating side of him that got him to view himself as such but either way, his views about himself were never in the positive, at all. Currently he was getting some reports on how the farmers were faring and how their lands were producing the goods that would enable Umgul to be self sufficient. He smirked inwardly and intertwined his fingers while leaning back as he continued to glance at his terminal.
The moment he heard his intercom, he looked in its direction and closed his eyes momentarily trying to sense who was standing outside there. He furrowed his eyebrows when he heard the person's name being spoken and who had sent the person. Buzzing the woman in, he lit up the lights setting it on a low setting so that the lights were only dim, he glanced at the person standing right before him.
He didn't speak at first, he didn't make any noise but he listened to what the woman had just told him. Pressing a button on his desk, he watched one of the seats come down from the ceiling and gestured towards it for her to sit while he grabbed the file that was from the CFO. "Thank you, Ms. Wan." Andros said in a low tone before looking at her with an imperceptible gaze. Of course he knew her name and of course, he had run a quick background check on her, after all he was one of the people that could validate a hiring within the government and Crystal and expressly pleaded on Delaana's case.
"Welcome to Umgul and in its government's building." He added on soon after, as he knew it was her first day, before he unsealed the file to peruse on its contents. Mostly it was figures and he knew that it was the best Crystal could do and allocate him for that project of his that he had to speak about with Elika. "One more thing before you go, as I am sure that Ms. Kayne keeps you occupied... Does she have a free slot to meet me in her planning for today?" He asked dubiously, not that it was important but he wanted to discuss something else with Crystal personally and considering that she was a woman, and that she lived with two others, maybe he should get the three of them together and hear about their opinions altogether or separately. "And please know that this is not a priority so to speak."

Inclining her head slightly when the Vice Governor thanked her, she waited for a beat or two and just when she was about to turn on her heels did she hear Andros Vyridian speak.
She graced him with a rare and faint smile when he welcomed her personally and quite surprised but come to think of it, not at all that he already knew her name. Compared to the CFO, the VG didn't need for her to introduce herself so to speak. Right then and there, she stood there motionless waiting for her to be dismissed as he seemed to be reviewing the contents of that file and she looked at him directly when asked if Crystal had some time to meet with him but it wasn't a priority so to speak.
If there was one thing she knew about her boss from the little research she could find about Crystal Kayne, the current CFO made it a mission to tend to her directs immediately when they needed it and considering that she was also a close friend to a few, Lana was supposing that they would also be a priority.
Lana grabbed her datapad and checked the CFO's schedule, she had no other important meetings so to speak but just a few budget talks with the Intelligence department, with the Legal department and also it looked like Crystal had even put a spot for those talks concerning the raceways into her schedule... Visionary from what Lana could perceive.
"Actually, she does, sir." Replied Lana with another faint smile before dimming her datapad and looking at the Vice Governor. "Her afternoon is quite vacant so whenever you have the time, she will gladly meet you, just let her know personally the time frame?" She suggested softly, she also knew that somehow the Vice Governor didn't like when he had to go through several channels to do things, and knowing that he was after all, the CFO's boyfriend's brother, he had more leeway than most to get an appointment with Crystal.
At least that was her take on it. Pushing that thought aside, she focused her attention on it before adding. "Anything else, Vice-Governor?"

Andros had remained in his office throughout the rest of the day. After speaking with Ms. Wan, he had been notified that the Attorney General, just like the Chief Financial Officer were taking their afternoon off. He actually was glad about that considering that Elikapeka had just returned and she needed the company. Crystal had apologized to him for tanking their afternoon meeting and he had replied curtly but still sincerely. She needed to be with her friend and he could wait, it was no problem at all.
Andros was tapping one end of his pen onto the raceways file and took notes whenever he needed to take notes. He felt that a few things were still lacking, but he figured that he would get to that eventually whenever he entrusted this file to Vinoly Architectural and more importantly to Elika. It was his scheme after all, one that had been suggested to him more or less by Atlantis earlier that morning. He would still be able to keep a watchful eye on Elika and he would know that she was safe.
Speaking of safe, he wondered how someone else was doing, actually how she was doing. Andros hadn't heard from her in a while now and usually she would contact him on a weekly basis because he had asked her to, just to know that she was safe... Her and her brother. Putting his pen down, Andros closed his eyes momentarily and leaned against his seat.
Andros snapped out of that memory and sighed softly before shaking his head and turning his seat to glance at the photographs behind him...

After waking early enough that she will have time to shower, get dressed, and visit with Andros before meeting Cystal and Lily for lunch, Elikapeka had sent her lieutenant a message to let her know that she planned to go into the city, to which she received the wholly expected reply that she was to sit tight until her lieutenant arrived to take her there. The time spent waiting for her lieutenant spent debating whether it would be better to arrive unannounced to surprise Andros or send a message beforehand, Elika – having concluded that the odds of Andros being more pleased than annoyed with a surprise visit were in her favor – arrives at Andros’ office and, after letting his secretary know of her intent to see the Vice Governor, takes a seat when told to wait, her lieutenant, as usual, standing silently at statue-like attention near the door leading into the waiting area.
Taking her datapad from her purse, Elika takes a moment to send a quick holonet message to Crystal to let her know that she will be making her way to her office shortly, returning the device to her purse once it has been sent and then standing, walking to the windows overlooking the city and watching the shadows of pedestrians moving through the mists below her.

Andros had been in the government building since the early hours, at least that was what he let others perceived, but truthfully, he hadn't left the building since last night due to things he had to deal with. Yesterday, he had been talking to both Crystal and Ljiljana to secure a funding to the police department in the City and he still had to present that file to Raan and get it approved. Andros had the power to issue this or that ruling but he didn't want to act all alone in the sense that Raan was still the Senator and he didn't want to call in all the shots. Andros lately no longer trained, no longer perfected his skills, he had been stuck to desk duty the last few months and he knew that at some point he would snap.
Thankfully though, from time to time he would find an empty slot to just go for a jog and maintain his physical stamina. While he was making his way back towards his floor, he had a cup of coffee in one hand and on the other, he was reading his datapad. It was no surprise that he had a darkened look due to his lack of sleep and it was no surprise that he often looked at the datapad and the occurring events around the City. Andros shook his head and took a sip of his coffee, which he could have told someone to fetch but he always refused just like insofar he refused to have a PA still, he always did things on his own when it concerned his being. Simple.
He was about to go straight towards his office when his attention was caught by the secretary telling him that someone was here to see him. Andros was unimpressed and was about to say. "Does that person have an appointment?" Andros asked bluntly as if maybe they were wasting his time and his time was better spent onto something else than to receive someone without an appointment. But before he could say anything further or even let the secretary announce who it was, Andros glanced to his side and noticed that Lt Lyn was standing there and he could see that familiar figure in the waiting room, he lifted his hand in the secretary's direction and shook his slowly to prevent her from doing anything that may send Elika and Lucy away.
"Ms. Tisa, add to the free pass list Ms. Elikapeka Hekekia and her bodyguard Lieutenant Lucine Lyn, provided that Lyn is with Ms Hekekia." Andros said which pretty much let Elika come and go here without appointment that she should be shown immediately inside of his office provided that it wasn't occupied. A few had that clearance, the Jedi councilors at large did, the Senator of course and even the CFO and AG. Now, even Elika was added to that list.
"Lieutenant." Andros said with a faint nod, he knew that the last time they actually had seen one another face to face was in this very facility and he was about to lose it with her. But that thing was in the past so he just acknowledged her like he would usually do, just with his normal, glaring stare before he redirected his gaze onto the architect, he walked over towards the windows and stood next to Elika silently. "Enjoying the view, I hope?" Andros asked her in his distinct tone of voice, it did not sound tired, the only markings of his sleepless night was on his eyes. Andros smiled genuinely as he continued to look at her, his gaze might have lighten a bit, and it was no brainer that he was happy to be seeing her after a long time.
"Courtesy visit or something important?" He asked with a faint smirk and although his posture reverted to the way he first way, his cynical humor was again at the forefront, but he was in fact just joking. "Are you staying for a bit or are you heading to Crystal's or Ljiljana's office?" Because depending on her answer, he'd either tell her to follow him to his office and get settled there, and if this was a quick visit, where was the point really. And no Andros did not say that he missed her and no he did not say the whole it was good to see her, because really Andros rarely said those things, he just hope and he knew that she would know him enough that he rarely smiled at people and Elika was one of the exceptions.

Lucy responds to Andros’ greeting with a respectful nod, having, like him, put their past differences behind her, something that she is not normally able to do easily, and which has resulted in her coming to respect Andros even more than she had prior to those differences. To give her principle and the Vice Governor a bit of privacy, Lucy steps outside the waiting area to his office, closing the door behind her and resuming her statue-like posture in front of it.
Elikapeka looks over and up at Andros, smiling as she asks in a playfully exaggerated hurt voice, “Does there need to be particular reason for me to visit my friend?” While Elika does not hold Andros’ gaze long, as she knows that he can be just as comfortable with such attention as she herself can, she has time to note that his eyes seem a bit tired, and, for the same reasons, takes pains to not seem overly concerned. Answering Andros’ question about how long she had planned on staying, Elika follows his example and does not bother with saying the things she knows are simply understood between them, such as being glad to see one another after not having done so in so long, saying instead, “I am meeting Crys and Lil for lunch later, but I thought I’d drop in and see if you’d like to have a cup of caf together. We wouldn’t even have to talk, Elika jokes, tilting her head to look up at him to see if she is making a dent in his usual stoic demeanor, if you’d rather not. Knowing that there is the very real possibility that Andros might have important matters to attend to, Elika says more seriously, Only if you aren’t busy, of course.”

Inwardly smirking despite his usual stare straight out of the windows, Andros didn't say a thing just yet nor did he move until he momentarily glanced at Elika with what could have been a very disinterested but tired expression. From the corner of his eyes though, he had noticed that Lucy had closed the door behind her, and Andros just turned his body to be facing Elika. At least he could be himself right now without prying ears or eyes. Or he could be how he usually was with Elika right now.
"No." Andros finally replied to her first question before he shook his head thoughtfully. "But am I to assume that you are staying longer this time planetside or should I have a word with your boss because he is keeping you away for a long time from friends?" He might had been joking, or he might had been not. Either way, he knew that Elika had been offworld for a long time and Andros right now only had her work, therefore her boss to blame.
"If I hugged you right now to show my appreciation for you dropping by to see a friend, will you be hating me?" Now he really was joking despite his flat tone. It was a fact that Andros really sucked at social interaction more or less and he wasn't the type of guy to just go and hug other people, he was the awkward kind of guy when appreciation was needed or when it concerned those matters. But this was Elika, she had come to visit him for no apparent reason by just to take a cup of coffee with him...
Coffee, right. Andros glanced at his cup that was still full of coffee and he pursed his lips thoughtfully before he shook his head to tell her that he in fact wasn't busy and that he needed a break anyways. Although the fact that they would be having coffee without talking, disconcerting. His eyes somewhat widened and then he looked at her amused. "So you are saying while having coffee, we'll get into a staring contest?" He might not have correctly picked up her joke there and sometimes when it came to general jokes, he could be obtuse anyways.
"But coffee, sure, my office or some place else?" Andros raised his eyebrows dubiously, fact was his office wasn't crowded and there were no people around and also, he can't recall her ever stepping inside of it. If she did then he stood corrected. "I need a break anyways... The last few weeks have been tedious with the universal healthcare decree for the population at large." It was now in place that was for sure but he remembered spending long night refining that bill continuously. But that was a story for another time and Andros knew that maybe Elika wasn't interested but fact was if she ever found the need and want to find out about that thing, who better than him would know or even Crystal or Lily, who had been working on that too.
"But I digress, you are not here to talk about that, so let's just have coffee at your desired location." Andros told her with a faint smile before adding on. "Also, you will have to tell me all about my dearest brother's message concerning your Lieutenant about relieving her temporarily from duty?"

Elikapeka glances upwards and purses her lips as though considering Andros’ offer to have a word with Evadne, tapping her right cheek with her index finger for effect before shaking her head and smiling as she says, “I won’t be taking you up on that, and then goes on to explain, I’ve already let him know that I want to work from my studio at home for a while, and he’s agreed so long as I make regular progress reports, attend staff meetings, and meet with any local clients that might have projects I’m suited for. So, see? No need for words.”
“Let’s see, shall we? Elika says when Andros asks if a hug would have any adverse consequences, then turns and hugs him affectionately but, as she knows he’s just as inclined to find physical contact awkward or uncomfortable as she, briefly, then steps back and tilts her head to the side as she says, Nope, no hate here from me. Any hate from you? No? Good. Patting Andros on the shoulder, Elika answers his jest about a staring contest, arching an eyebrow as she states, I think we both know who would that. I’m sure we can think of other ways to pass the time if we really give it a try. When Andros asks where she would like to have the cup of caf, Elika, figuring he would be more comfortable in his office than elsewhere, and that she would be more comfortable as well if it were just the two of them, says, Your office would be perfect,” and then turns, gesturing with a flourish for him to lead the way into his office.
As they walk towards his office, Elika nods while pursing her lips in sympathy when Andros states he could use a break from the tedium of the past few weeks, and then answers his question about the message Atlantis must have sent him regarding her lieutenant, “Oh, that. Atlantis and I thought my lieutenant could probably use a bit of break herself since she’s been stuck, what does she call it? Yes, stuck baby-sitting me. He said that he had someone in mind for taking over for her while she’s away, but didn’t mention anyone in particular.”

Andros kept his gaze on her although from time to time he evaded because he knew that she hated the attention just like he did, but since he had nothing to worry about, from the sound of it, concerning Elika working too much, Andros stood down from that matter and inclined his head in acknowledgment. "With everything that piled up in the recent months, I never got to call your firm's services." Andros said thoughtfully before looking out the window, the raceways weren't completed at all but he knew that the farmers had settled themselves correctly. He had been greatly supportive of them behind the scenes of course and never once he really said that it had been his plan.
He only had one request and one request only and that was to reserve a percentage of their harvest for the orphanages around town. He smiled inwardly as he was temporarily lost in thoughts but when Elika walked into closer to hug him, Andros returned the gesture and hugged her affectionately before pulling away. He shook his head and ended up chuckling briefly. "My dearest Elikapeka, how could I possibly hate you when like you have said earlier you are my friend. A close friend at that." Andros smiled genuinely this time before he inclined his head and then nodded a few times.
"I probably would but, I am the worse type of person to have a conversation with, so if you do have something in mind, I will welcome it." It was true in the sense that, Andros really wasn't that good at social interactions at least now, or how he had turned out, but he was trying. At least he would try for a few and Elika was one of them.
Walking out of the waiting room with Elika, letting her out first after he opened the door, he kept in mind everything she had told him concerning Atlantis' message and Lucy needing a break too. He stopped for a brief moment and looked at the secretary with his usual stare and usually he wasn't the kind of guy to ask this, but this was different.
"Ms. Tisa, could you have two cups of coffee brought up here, one into my office for Ms. Hekekia and the other for Lieutenant Lyn here, please. Thank you." Andros said as he watched the woman stand up and get those coffees he had requested. He still had his anyways and he had not drunk much of it. Andros turned towards his office door and presented himself to a biometric scan before he gestured for Elika to go in, he would have done the same with Lyn but he knew that the Lieutenant would unlikely be following.
"Take a seat." Andros said as he pushed a button to bring a seat down from the ceiling in front of his desk. He turned on the lights since everything was obscured here. Behind him there was a life size photo of him and Raan, their backs turned in mid air, and that was when they had gone through the raceways demolition. He had several other holopictures and particularly he and his brother from their CorSec days, identical grin, identical stare on his desk. He glanced at Elika thoughtfully, he knew that it was her first time here, but really it was nice to have her planet side. Now about his brother's message... Andros leaned back against his seat and looked at her thoughtfully. "The person he has in mind is someone you know." Andros told her since he had been part of that message that he read this morning. "He wouldn't assign someone you didn't know anyways, and I would refuse first and foremost that trade." He drummed his fingertips onto his desk and heard a knock onto his door.
Opening it, he saw his secretary walk in handling the coffee to Elika with a pleasant smile after Andros would assume that she gave the Lieutenant hers. He inclined his head as a thanks and waited for the person to walk out of his office. "But if the person accepts, I will put Lucy on leave after speaking with Mistal."

Wincing when Andros reminds her of the fact that they had briefly discussed a project he had hoped she would undertake before her job took her offworld for an unanticipated length of time, Elikapeka says, "Well, now that I'm back and will not be going anywhere, we'll have to make time to talk about that project. Holding her hands out at her sides, Elika jokes, You know me, I can never have too many projects going on," which is not truly a joke so much as a simple statement of fact; her work so much a part of who she is, Elika feels at a loss when circumstances align so that she does not have it to occupy her.
Laughing when Andros makes light of the fact that conversation is not his strong suit, Elika teasingly frowns worriedly and quips, "We may be in trouble then, since I'm not exactly known for my scintillating conversation either, and then, as she makes her way towards his office when he motions for her to follow, says, I'm sure we'll manage to avoid needing to resort to the staring contest though."
Removing her scarf and then trenchcoat after setting her backpack purse beside the chair, Elika drapes the scarf and coat over the back of the chair before sitting, thanking Ms. Tisa as she goes out for the coffee Andros has requested. Tugging her left sleeve down, then the right and, finally, the left twice in a unconsciously compulsive pattern - more from habit than any nervousness since she feels none of her usual anxiety when with Andros - Elika listens as Andros says that whomever it is that Atlantis has in mind to take her lieutenant's place is someone she already knows, and that if they agree to do so he will speak to Mistal to arrange her lieutenant's leave. Nodding when Andros has finished speaking, Elika says, "Well, I hope that everything works out. My lieutenant could use the break, I'm sure. Atlantis also said something about it possibly being good for whoever he has in mind as well." Elika's social circle has, since her arrival on Umgul, expanded from the nearly nonexistent one she possessed prior to taking the job with Vinoly Architectural, but it is wide enough that she cannot guess who in particular it is the twins are thinking of.
Setting the matter aside, Elika accepts the cup of caf from Ms. Tisa when she returns, smiling and thanking her. After taking a sip from the mug, Elika says to Andros, "I hope you haven't just been working all of the time? Have you been up to anything else? As she has not seen Raan in quite some time and knows how close he and Andros are, Elika asks, And have you seen much of Raan lately? I feel like I've fallen out of touch with him, actually. Is he alright? One question leading to another, Elika asks, Oh, and how are Mace and Franz? Laughing as she realizes she is starting to sound like she is interrogating Andros, Elika holds up a hand, thumb keeping her sleeve from riding down, apologizing, Sorry. I should probably give you time in between questions to answer, right? Right. Shrugging, Elika jokes, I guess you had just better tell me how you and everyone else have been," trusting that he knows who the everyone in her everyone is without the need to ask after each individually.

Andros had been briefly lost in his own thoughts, a while ago he had been told something by Raan concerning Elika. It wasn't just about her work, it was also about her, so when he noticed her tugging her sleeves, which he did not comment on and kept a very impassive expression, those memories came back rushing. Since it was about work or the fact that she was staying planet side, he still wondered how long would it take Raan to offer that position to Elika and actually make the announcement. Basically she would be her own boss and that might be difficult although he did not see Raan refraining her from taking other assignments off world.
He still remembered that not only there was still that raceways project but also a prison construction that would be adapted to several sentients, and if they were sensitives or not. Andros knew that with the lack of the raceways but also a lack of a secured facility crimes had been present but it wasn't chaos at all, although drugs, spices had been in circulation here, the death penalty had all been erased.
Snapping out of his train of thoughts, he took a deep breath and looked at Elika with a faint smirk, obviously she was wrong because she definitely knew how to maintain a conversation, she was asking about him and the others. Andros chuckled briefly and shook his head to tell her that it was alright, he could actually rewind and remember all the questions she had asked him.
"I do not see the person Atlantis has in mind refuse." Andros said thoughtfully, despite the change in Franz's demeanor the man still cared and that was a fact and maybe he was no longer being a chatterbox like he used to be, and maybe he no longer joked like he used to, a part of Andros actually missed that in a way, although he never admitted it. "But what did Atlantis tell you about that person? Unless you prefer not to say, then I respect that." He assured her, after all, what Elika and Atlantis shared in general, he would never pressure her or him into telling. Andros knew that his brother was a people's person, people actually connected with him easily because that was just him compared to Andros, that was a fact.
"Define 'all of the time', because I can easily tell you right now that I wasn't in my office when you came to visit me as I was taking some coffee." Andros told her teasingly before chuckling, in a lot of cases, he could play that political game and just bypass several questions and reply one way or another but this was Elika and he knew what she meant. "No, just work and trying to find ways for the population in this planet to be happier with the tools they are given." It wasn't as if Andros had personal obligations, and clearly more times than not he tried to pull away from those things. About the population though, he knew he could only do that much afterwards everything was in their own hand. "Raan, yes and no but he has been busy tending to some personal matters, often times he puts me in charge but his advisor might tell you more than I know in the now." Andros took a deep breath and even though he had pointed to Mace since she was Raan's advisor to begin with, the Kiffar was just unbreachable. "But Raan is fine, that much I know." He told her sincerely, it's all the details he had and could provide.
"Franz is good, more of a teacher now, continuously a teacher and often times he listens for any signs of someone breaking out in the Force." Franz had been dealing with the break outs more often than not because Andros knew that it might give Franz an overall meaning with what he did as a Jedi. "As for Mace, she is fine, her time is always equally divided between several things, I don't really know precisely what but it's Mace." That was a good reason right? It was Mace, she had more leeway than any of them all combined in the sense that no one really questioned her, no one really doubted the things she had been doing, Mace just came and went wherever she deemed fit but she would always reply to a call.
"After Crystal and Ljiljana, them two, I know you already know, although I might have overworked them far too much, so with you return, I hope and am sure that they are going to take some rest they deserve." It was true, every time Crystal and Ljiljana would be taking care of things that he didn't even ask to begin with but that was just them, workaholic to the core just like Elikapeka. "What about you, how are you and how did those trips turn out, no crazy assassins after you, right?" He still remembered that and he also had Lucy to thank for keeping Elika safe, his gaze turned towards his office door and he took a deep breath. "Do you remember how long it has been since Lucy hasn't been on a long leave?" Andros asked thoughtfully, the only time he could remember quite clearly was when they were all in Naboo after that, Andros wasn't actually keeping track on who went on leave and who did not. Too much to keep track with...

Elikapeka sips her caf as Andros speaks, nodding when he says that he cannot see whomever it is that Atlantis has in mind to take her lieutenant's place temporarily refusing, and then shakes her head to convey that Atlantis had not made any request that she keep what he had said between them before answering his question, "He didn't say much, only that they could use a break and had become too serious recently," Andros undoubtedly knows more about what exactly Atlantis meant by the comment since he knows whom it was made in reference to, but it could apply to nearly anyone, and so Elika cannot narrow down who it might be.
Arching an eyebrow in playful annoyance when Andros plays the literalist, pointing out that he had not been working when she had arrived and, therefore, her question about his working all of the time had, in essence, already been answered, shaking her head with a smile not long afterward as she listens to him go on to decribe what he and the others have been up to while she was away. Andros, naturally enough, does not go into the specifics of what the personal matters Raan has been attending to are, nor, being respectful of Raan's privacy, does Elika ask despite the fact that she cannot help but worry whether the personal matters are serious or of a nature that Raan might be in need of a friendly shoulder to lean on, or an ear to listen. Mentally chiding herself for overlooking the rather obvious possibility of attempting to contact Raan herself as opposed to waiting for him to contact her, Elika makes a note to do just that when she has the opportunity. Smiling when Andros speaks of Franz, gathering that he has taken up the mantle of instructor or teacher at the academy as well as being alert for any Force sensitives, Elika laughs with a nod when he then goes on to speak of Mace, understanding precisely what he means when he says 'it's Mace' while describing what she does despite not always knowing exactly what it is that she does; of all the members of the Mist Order, Mace is often the most self-contained and enigmatic.
Shrugging when asked how she is doing, Elikapeka takes a sip of her caf to buy time before answering; introspection having been, for sometime, something she has tried to consciously avoid by burying herself in her work or, when that does not fill all of her time, in her music - avoiding her internal landscape something that has often seemed so logical ever since Noelani died, and a habit that losing her parents only reinforced. Settling for smiling and uttering a generic, "I'm fine, to answer the first part of Andros' question, Elika becomes a bit more animated when speaking of her travels, partly in the hopes of covering the non-answer concerning how she is doing, I got to see a few planets I've never seen, only read about, which is always fun. Bimmisaari was one of my favorite stops. I love the Bimms. I'm not, she laughs, knowing Andors will understand, overly fond of their welcoming ritual where they surround you and touch you, but they are very friendly, very hospitable, and Bimmisaari itself is just gorgeous. I only got to see some of the forests near Glastro, but what I saw was beautiful. Elika laughs, remembering her liuetenant was not overly fond of Bimmisaari, My lieutenant didn't like it much though, but I think it was mostly because they wouldn't let her carry her blaster off the ship. Sipping her caf before going on, Elika continues, And I got to see my aunt when we were on Muunilinst, which was nice. Mon Cala was just . . . incredible. I've been there before, but it never loses it's ability to fascinate me; the cities are amazing, and the architecture is always teaching me something. I wish I could have stayed longer. Crinkling her nose, Elika amends her statement, Well, maybe if it were my only destination. And if it was a vacation and not work related. And, she laughs as she remembers one of Andros' questions, there were no assassination attempts, accidents, or difficulties of any kind, except for sticking to my diet . . . and that exercise regimen I keep saying I'll start. Waving a hand, sure that Andros won't want to listen to her complaining about her weight fluctuation issues, Elika sips her caf and then addresses his question about her lieutenant's last vacation, saying, Actual vacation? I think my lieutenant's last actual leave was when we were on Naboo for . . . when we were on Naboo. Elika takes another sip of her caf, as always caught off guard by how simply speaking of Naboo can sometimes reopen wounds she imagines would have healed over by now, and then, making a conscious effort to sound cheerful in the hopes that acting as though she is will make her so, concludes, I'm sure she'll be excited when you let her know she'll finally get more than a day here and there off, don't you think?"

It made sense. Andros knew that Atlantis was the type of guy to never give out the details entirely until he had all the facts and everything right before him. He was the same anyways, at least depending on the person but in this case, it was Elika and Atlantis preferred to always wait when he had all the details sorted out. It was a fact, what Elika had just said about the concerned person. Andros couldn't deny that at all and he only inclined his head thoughtfully without commenting further because he really did not want to give her any false hope especially when she knew Franz too but either way, she, just like he, was waiting for any development.
Andros could deal with that in a moment due to the fact that right now, he was more interested in how Elika was really doing. Andros kept looking down towards his desk and he also had been taking a sip of his coffee from time to time while she was speaking. Although it was good to know that she enjoyed those trips, that really did not answer what mattered to him the most. Although because he could comment on that, Andros internally winced for her comment about the last time Lucy had taken an extended leave. Andros took a deep breath and raised his head to look at her with a frown.
"I am glad to know that your trips went fine." Andros said with a faint nod before he took a deep breath and continued to look at her this time even though he very well knew that she clearly hated the attention, that maybe she didn't like it when people kept looking at her for too long, but if his gaze, which was very indicative of the fact that he wasn't going to back down, would allow him to get a real answer on how she really was doing then he'd keep looking.
"But how are you really?" Andros clearly adopted a straight line of approach, he always asked what he wanted to ask without beating around the bush. This was Elika, he cared, should he be sorry about that? No, not in his opinion but at the same time he didn't want to pressure her into talking, and maybe he wasn't the perfect candidate for that. But she was his friend and he cared. Period. Andros took a deep breath and rubbed his eyebrows with his thumbs and middle finger, he usually did that when he was thinking, just a habit he guessed but the moment he dropped his hand onto his lap, he looked back at Elika this time with a softened gaze and inclined his head.
"I may not be the best person to talk to about how you are really doing, but at least please reassure me by saying that you do talk to someone you are comfortable with?" That pretty much said that he was dropping the matter if she wished for him to do so. He knew that she didn't like being scrutinized anyways and he was the worse type of person to not do those things. At least if she told him that she was talking to someone, anyone, he would rest his case. He knew that maybe he was the last person to be her confident for whatever situation and he knew that maybe she preferred to talk at her own time but he also knew that bottling up things, emotions weren't good. The Force knew how many times Andros did that, but in the end he was only asking because he cared, simple, and it was rare for him to show that he actually cared about people.
Thankfully for the both of them, or maybe more for her, Andros heard his dataterminal signaling him that he had received a message and that was from Franz. "Excuse me a few seconds." Andros said as he started to type his answer letting Franz know that Elika was currently with him, that he should drop by soon as Crystal, Lily and Elika were going for lunch and that he planned to relieve Lucy of her duty soon. Now that was done, he contacted Mistal too via holonet concerning the Lieutenant, which had gotten him a positive reply and that she could be put on leave for two weeks long with pay. Provided that Franz wasn't needed for any random missions.
Andros looked back at Elika before inclining his head thoughtfully, he pushed a button on his comm to contact his secretary. "Ms. Tisa, could you please tell the Lieutenant to make her way inside of my office in a few minutes. Thank you." Already unlocking the door, he gave that enough time because maybe Elika might want to discuss something further with him and who knows maybe she would want to reply to him first, either way that was up to her own discretion and he would respect her answer or non-answer...

Holding the file securely in her hand while reading her datapad to see if she had any reminders to make Crystal aware of. Although she knew her boss and always kept her obligations in mind all the time. Something came to her mind though, the fact that Crystal had told her to leave this file to Andros' secretary if he was busy? Usually she always had been told that Lana had to hand this file to the Vice-Governor personally and that she would have to wait until he had a free moment in between his appointments.
But not today and not this time. Taking a deep breath as she leaned back against the turbolift's wall, Lana, a native from Hapes, wasn't in the business of second guessing her boss so when the turbolift finally reached her desired floor, Lana walked out of it and made her way straight towards Andros' secretary who she knew and got along with but before even uttering a word, she could hear Andros' voice through the intercom speaking with her friend.
Again she usually wasn't in the business to eavesdrop but she could make some of the words and she glanced to her side noticing that there seemed to be an officer standing right there. Andros must have meant her, if not then Lana stood corrected. Shrugging slightly, Lana smiled at Katiara Tisa and inclined her head in a friendly manner. "Hey Kate." Lana placed the file with Crystal's seal onto the counter top and glanced back in the office door's direction.
"Same deal but apparently if he was busy, I could leave it to you." Kate seemed surprised by that statement, just like Lana was to begin with anyways but her orders were her orders too although she briefly stood aside to let Andros' secretary speak with the Lieutenant to let her know that Andros wanted her in the office in a few minutes...

Elikapeka finds herself unable to maintain eye contact with Andros when he asks how she is truly doing, her right hand moving to the left cuff of her shirt and beginning to tug at it without her being conscious it. Elika smiles, trying to contradict her body language as she tells herself that Andros has enough to deal with without her adding her recent foundationless shifting of moods to his concerns. Andros asks her to at least tell him that she has someone to talk to, and Elika feels guilty for her hesitance to answer his question; she knows that it is probably as difficult for him to so openly display his concern as it is for her to contemplate unburdening herself, and she wishes there were some way to tell him that her reluctance is not due to any lack of trust or comfort with him - as she has come to feel comfortable with him since learning that his exterior obscures his caring nature - without giving him any cause for concern by revealing her mood swings. Aware that she has taken too long to answer what amounts, in the end, to a relatively simple question, Elika tugs at her right sleeve and opens her mouth, unsure exactly what it is she wants to say and hoping that she can find the words as she goes, but the chiming of Andros' datapad sounds out before she can speak.
Nodding when Andros excuses himself for a moment, Elika takes the opportunity to order her thoughts, stopping her compulsive tugging at her sleeves when she sees that she has fallen prey to the familiar ritual which, in this instance, has actually brought her anxiety to manageable levels. Even though she knows that her lieutenant will be coming in shortly, Elika stands and walks over to Andros and even meets his eyes as, answering his questions honestly, she says, "I've been a little down, but there's not any . . . there's not a reason, really, you know? Just normal ups and downs. Smiling and resting her hand on his forearm, she assures him, The ups are more frequent than the downs though, and I do have peop . . . friends to talk to, she squeezes his forearm as she says pointedly, friends like you. Releasing his arm and looking over her shoulder to see how near her lieutenant is, Elika concludes, Don't worry about me though, I'm probably just moody and tired from all of the traveling. I'll be fine now that I'm back. And Andros? Thank you."
As her lieutenant enters the office, coming to attention inside the door and saluting smartly, Elika takes her scarf and trench coat from the back of the chair, slinging her backpack purse over a shoulder as she tells Andros, "I should probably get out of your way. We should get together soon though, maybe for dinner some night? Pointing towards the lobby, she tells her lieutenant, I'll just wait outside," and then leaves the office, closing the door behind her.
=UDF Lt. Lucine 'Lucy' Lyn= Once Elika has left the office, Lucy stays at attention as, after looking towards the closed door with an arched eyebrow when she hears what sounds like a chair falling over, she asks, "You asked to see me, sir?"
"Sorry, Elika says to Ms. Tisa and the blonde haired woman she is speaking with, having been distracted by the latter when she had seen her upon walking from Andros' office and, walking towards a chair while distracted, failed to note she had arrived in time to avoid walking into it rather than to it. Dropping her trench coat, her backpack purse sliding off her shoulder, when trying to get the chair upright, Elika repeats as she begins blushing, which, as she is aware that she is, only causes her anxiety to mount, Sorry, again, and then finally manages to get the chair upright, and her trench coat from the floor. Not enough caf yet I guess, Elika says with an embarrassed laugh, wishing she could simply leave rather than have to sit and wait for her lieutenant, and then, managing to sit down without incident, repeats, Sorry," before taking her datapad from her purse in the hopes of focusing on it rather than on the anxiety her embarrassment has engendered.

It was comforting to know that Elika wasn't that troubled, at least she had been straightforward with her answers to him. He did understand what she meant, after all she was a human being with emotions and she was subjected to them, like he was in essence but he had to spend more time to control his ardors although he couldn't compare what she was going through to what he had been going through. He knew that each struggle was difficult whether the person was sensitive or not. It made sense, what she was telling him, she had been traveling for too long and she might not have had the luxury to relax and just overall no stress about those assignments of hers.
"I'll always worry about you, Elika." He surprisingly told her in a soft tone paired with his softened gaze when he could feel her squeezing his forearm. Even if she had thanked him, she had nothing to thank him for really. He cared about her despite the fact that it might have been surprising for others who didn't know him intimately but Elika knew him, at least she knew that part of him behind his facade. He smiled warmly and inclined his head at her suggestion that they should have dinner one evening.
"I'll hold you to that." Andros said with a nod before he reverted back to his usual stare when he noticed that the Lieutenant walked into his office, he had seen behind her that Crystal's PA was there and he remembered that Elika was meeting Crystal and Ljiljana for lunch. He, too, heard something falling and he furrowed his eyebrows thoughtfully but not inquiring about that as he had something to deal with right now, Andros inclined his head when Lucy spoke to him.
"That I do, Lieutenant." Andros said as he stood up from his seat, this wasn't going to take long anyways, he was sure of it, although he did tell her. "At ease, this won't take long." He pushed a button to get rid of the seat that had previously been occupied by Elika.
"Your principle, the Grandmaster and myself have all come to an agreement along with Marshall Mistal that it has been a while since you haven't been on a long leave." Andros told her seriously but he wasn't done at all. "I know you have been mandated by the Senator but you are only human too and you need a break as well." He stood straight behind his desk and continued to look at Lucy very seriously. "Councilor Delgrave will be taking your place during your two weeks leave with pay. If necessary, you can extend that to a month if you desire." Andros gave her the name of the person taking over, hopefully it would reassure the Lieutenant that it was a Jedi. But in any case, he was issuing a direct order to the Lieutenant and he continued to look at her. "You have to not have any military assignments. Just call it a vacation, Lieutenant." Andros said thoughtfully before he took a piece of paper and wrote a note on it before sealing it with his own seal. That note read.
"Master Delgrave should be here soon, so once you see him just pass him the relay and you can go, Lieutenant." Andros told her thoughtfully before asking. "Do you have any questions? If not, dismissed." He asked her as he walked around his desk carrying the sealed letter while he opened the door to his office seeing Delaana Wan speaking with Katiara Tisa.
"Ms. Wan." Andros inclined his head thoughtfully before he gestured to the file to just hand it over to him and when that was done, he handed her a note. "Please give this to your boss." Andros took a deep breath and glanced at Elika thoughtfully arching his eyebrow dubiously asking her if she was alright.
