Terra sighed softly and nodded, hoping she could have spoken with him for a little longer than this. Hopefully the trip would go off without a hitch, though, and then he would be on Coruscant safe and sound."Oh...all right."She leaned forwards a little."Yes, Ralph?"

I love you.
*He gave her a bright smile and leaned back in his seat. It was true. He had grown very attached to her in his short time on Corellia, and if the master there hadn't sent him to Coruscant, he likely would have requested a transfer there regardless. Ralph knew that despite his love though, he would soon have to focus even more on his training. Wouldn't look good for a knight to have a padawan boyfriend. And at this point Ralph was certain she would make knight before he did.*

Terra grinned back at him."I love you too, Ralph. Have a safe trip!"She hoped he would get here soon. It would help a lot of he was here while she undertook the rest of her Trials. It surely wouldn't be long before they started.
The image of Ralph faded as the call ended and Terra stowed the comm back into her cloak. Sliding off the bed, she took a quick shower, got dressed and headed for the training rooms, though now she was running quite late...

*Again they just lay there. Snuggled up to one another. He could feel a slight apprehension towards the future in her. She knew it might not be long before he was called away. She had a feeling there was something about him that he kept hidden. Something he kept in the dark. Not evil, just something hidden. When the time was right he would tell her. But he would rather keep her blissfully ignorant. Blissfully in love. So she wouldn't have to worry about him.*
"I'm glad you are satisfied. Having Jedi stamina does have it's advantages. So I can wait a day or two."
*All cheekiness aside he shifted over to hold her tighter.*
"In the meantime, why don't we hit up the archives? I'm sure there are techniques to help you be able to heal through the Force without passing out like the last time. Learn how to heal like a Jedi and learn how to harness a better understanding of Force Affinity. How does that sound? I know about Force Affinity. I could teach you that while you learn Jedi healing techniques." Mirania giggled softly and let her hand run across his chest."Well good." She snuggled into him, listening as he suggested a trip to the archives to research healing. It seemed like a good idea, as despite her skill in healing, she had really come close to overdoing it during their escape from the Trandoshans on Utapau. Anything to help her learn more would be helpful, not to mention something else to do.
She nodded."That sounds like a good idea. I really did overdo it on Utapau. If there's a way I can heal without straining myself too much, I should study it." She sighed."I just hope I don't have to use it on you too much."

*Octavious then leans up, still holding onto her and stands up. Lifting her into his arms. He kisses her deeply then in a child like gesture, sweeps her off her feet carrying her in a swinging motion and then puts her down.*
"Then no time like the present. Besides, I could run through a gauntlet of darksiders crawling back to you knowing I can count on you being there to save me. I owe you my life. I intend to make good on that."
*Taking her by the hand, he leads her to the archives.*

Terra made her way to her room, going over her conversation with Anshara in the city earlier. She felt she could trust the girl, despite not having known her for very long, so at least that wasn't a concern...
Sitting down on her bed, she took a deep breath, attempting to keep herself calm and collected. This was going to be her first mission and unlike other assignments, this one was personal. Whatever was going on in Coruscant's underworld must have had something to do with her, or she wouldn't have been drawn there otherwise. If there was a trap set for her, then she needed to be careful, and yet walking headlong into it probably wasn't smart.
Terra lay down, closing her eyes and trying to center herself, the pressure of the mission beginning to weigh on her now that she was in a quiet place by herself. With no other distractions, the pressure had begun to hit her. Maybe it was because of the possibility of what lay inside for her. Terra continued to go over the information she had recieved from Anshara over and over, trying to remember something, anything that might help but coming up with nothing. Despite all she had been told, there was still so much unknown about that lab.
Eventually, Terra began to doze off, but her dreams were anything but pleasant...
It was the same dream she had started having since her return to Corellia from Felucia. Ominous chanting in a language she didn't know. Dark silhouetted figures against a rising fire. The chill of the Dark Side permeating the air around her. The chanting grew louder until it reached a deafening crescendo. A lone figure emerged from the shadows, different from the ones standing against the flames. Finding herself unable to move, Terra could only watch helplessly as it approached her, his face hidden beneath a pitch black hood. He stood there, arms folded and she could hear him laughing softly. Slowly, he reached forwards, shadows rolling off his arm as it extended towards her face.
"...soon..."
Terra screamed as he touched her face, and she bolted upright, moving her hand to try and wrench his arm away from her, but there was nothing there. It took the young woman a few seconds to realize that she had woken up, and she was back in her room in the Temple. Covered in sweat and gasping harshly, she sprung up, but her shaking limbs did not support her for long and she collapsed, leaning against her bed frame and still gasping harshly. Pulling her knees up to her chest, she lowered her head, tears streaming down her face now. Unable to stop herself, she cried quietly, the terror from her vision still firmly etched into her mind...

Nik Arreni was walking solemnly back towards his room the evening after his conversation with Councilor Jade. He wanted to speak with Terra, and he'd taken this way in order to seek her out, but when he passed her room, all was silent. If she was asleep, he didn't wish to disturb her this close to an important mission. But, before he'd turned the corner at the end of the hall he felt the wave of panic and fear rippling out from the epicenter of her presence in the Force.
Instinctively he spun on his heel and sprinted back towards her door, creating a racket as he pounded on it with a clenched fist. "Terra?!"
"Kiros, are you alright?" He broke off, waiting, listening, and counting to himself quietly. She had a reasonable amount of time (defined as twenty seconds tops) to open the door...or he'd open it himself and ask her forgiveness later. A padawan screaming in quarters that were supposedly unoccupied except for herself was not normal or acceptable as far as the Zeltron was concerned. And while things had been left unsettled between them, he did not wish her to experience pain or fear of the level that was currently emanating from her room.

Terra was still trying to calm herself down when she heard the pounding on the door, and Nik's voice coming from behind it. She didn't answer him as she continued to cry quietly in spite of her efforts to try and calm herself. The visions were getting worse, and just before she was going to investigate this alchemy lab...it had to mean something, but it also made Terra that much more afraid of what she might find there.
The door to Terra's room was unlocked so Nik wouldn't have any trouble getting in. What he would find was a terrified Padawan huddled on the floor and leaning against her bed, still gripped by fear from her vision...

Receiving no answer, Nik keyed the door open. That was successful. If it hadn't been, he would have had to replace the door and that would be most unfortunate on his record. Still, as he entered the room he didn't even look around. He didn't have to. Terra was curled up on the floor next to her bed, shoulders shaking with sobs as she tried to keep quiet, occupying the least amount of space possible under the circumstances. The door closed behind him with a quiet 'snick.'
"Terra."
His voice was quiet as he stepped toward her slowly, approaching her as he would a frightened animal, trying not to alarm her further. There was nothing else here that could harm her, not as far as he could tell. Closing his eyes for a moment the Zeltron focused on the way the sunlight reflected in the fountains and flowers outside, or the way it felt to win a lucky hand of sabaac. Given his biochemical advantages, the Zeltron was surrounded by pheromonal feelings of peace, calm, and goodwill.
Yesterday he'd have pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. He'd've kissed her too. But that was before Ralph and her doubts about the whole situation. Still, the crying padawan did not look like she was in any position to lead a mission or undergo her Trials. Not yet anyway. He felt a flicker of anger ripple through his mind, directed towards this Ralph person for leaving Terra alone like this. Nik took a deep breath.
~Kriffing hells...what's to lose?~ I thought before moving over to the girl and kneeling down next to her.
Strong arms wrapped around the crying girl and pulled her close into a supportive embrace. After a few seconds, he spoke.
"Hey girl, is it so bad as all that? Hmm?"
Sure, not the most eloquent way to put things, but it sufficed to get the point across and that was enough for now.

Terra didn't say anything as Nik wrapped her in a tight embrace, and she quickly wrapped her arms around him. Unable to hold back anymore, her sobs grew louder as she was no longer trying to keep herself quiet. This continued for a few minutes, but eventually, she was able to calm herself down, though she did not let go of him, even as her sobs began to fade. Taking several shaky breathes, she raised her head and looked up at him, her eyes reddened from crying."N-Nik..."

He just held her for a few minutes and let her cry in relative peace. Internally he winced a bit, discomfited by all the tears, but he didn't say anything. Not really sure what to do at the moment he went with, "Yup, that is my name. Please don't wear it out."
Maybe she'd laugh. More likely she wouldn't. It was a feeble attempt at distraction. He shifted position slightly in an attempt to get comfortable, ignoring the fact that she was leaving tearstains on his green vest. Gently he stroked her loose, tangled hair back from her face as she rested against his shoulder, and then ran his hand lightly up and down her spine, petting her almost like she was some kind of feline. He knew from experience that while this wasn't a massage, its calming effect could be quite soporific, and at the moment, Terra just needed to calm down.
"Care to tell me about it?" a deep voice inquired quietly.

Terra leaned against him, managing a tiny smile at his attempt to cheer her up, and she leaned her head back against his chest and closed her eyes. She felt his hand slowly running up and down her spine, and it seemed to be having the effect of calming her down. It was actually quite relaxing, enough so that she was finally able to slow her breathing.
Sighing, she looked back up at him."I...I had a vision..."Her eyes closed once more."I think it had something to do with the lab..."

"And what was this vision?" he encouraged, "what do you think it told you?" Always in motion, the future is, according to Yoda and most of the old Masters in the Order. Visions were tricky one hundred percent of the times, but split-second hunches had saved the lives of many Jedi. And if Terra had any sort of insight into what they might be facing, well, that would be good to know.
Nik found himself on the verge of telling her just how much this mission would mean for her future within the Jedi Order, but he had given his word not to. So he didn't. But, he fully intended to help her as much as he could. In order to do that though, she would have to want help. And right now, all Nik wanted was to calm her down and keep her from crying again. Her distress made him want to do things that he knew she would be uncomfortable with in a clearer frame of mind.

Terra took another deep breath, staying silent for a minute or two as she tried to sort out this vision. She had spoken with Jade about it before, but it hadn't been this bad back on Corellia. And that figure that had reached out to her...somehow she got the feeling that she knew him from somewhere, but the memories just weren't there. Try as she might, there was no way to explain why she felt that familiarity...
She shook her head."I...I don't know...I've had it before though...but it was so much worse just now..."She opened her eyes and looked back up at Nik.'I saw....someone...I felt like I knew him from somewhere...but I don't remember..."

"Hmm, what made it worse this time?" he inquired gently, wondering just how deep her amnesia went. It was one of the things they really hadn't talked about. When she looked up at him suddenly, he almost wanted to look away, but he didn't. Not until he had to. If her eyes, still luminous from crying, kept looking at him like that he would probably have kissed her. No, he would have. He knew he would have. Instead, he looked away and ran his hand through her hair, pulling her closer and cradling her against himself. "What did he look like?" Instinctively he knew it was a man. "Talk to me, tell me what happened in your dream, how it was the same, and how different." Perhaps in so doing other details would become clear to her. So, while she might view him as forward and rude in prying into something that was obviously deeply personal, he made the attempt anyway. Given that she'd allowed him to hold her, he suspected that on some level she was comfortable with him even if she wouldn't admit it to anyone, most of all, herself.

Terra turned her gaze back to the floor, resting her head back against his chest as he held her tightly against him. She wrapped her arms around him in kind, feeling comforted by his presence despite the tension between them. She knew he was trying to help her but she didn't want to recount her vision just yet, so she shook her head slowly."Just....give me a minute...please..."She stayed silent for another moment, taking some time to make sure she was calm before revisiting her nightmare. Now that she had calmed down she was beginning to feel a little embarrassed at getting so out of sorts over a dream. It had been a genuinely frightening vision, true, but Terra still couldn't help but feel almost...childish for needing to be comforted like this. The feeling only lasted for a moment though.
After a few moments, Terra raised her head and sat up slowly, gently easing herself out of Nik's grip and leaning back against her bed frame. She took a deep breath before speaking."That figure....in my dream, I mean...he was never there before now..."She ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes."I don't know why I was so afraid of him but...he was terrifying for some reason...I know I know h-him from s-somewhere but I j-just can't remember!"She wrapped her arms around herself and shuddered."What if he's there? In the alchemy lab? I...I d-don't know if I can face him..."

It's dark.
Will can't see anything. It's a darkness that he can't tell whether his eyes are open or if it truly is darkness. The familiar pungent sting in his nostrils which could only come from a forest fire. . . .smoke began to crawl into the corners of his vision; the blackness begins being joined by several hues of red and orange until open flames begin to engulf his vision and the black silhouette of trees. And another black silhouette all too familiar to Master Son'tir.
The black hooded figure held a lightsaber in his right hand and another lightsaber hangs on his belt. Without a word, the hooded figure ignites the red blade and brings both hands to bear over his head in an aggressive Ataru stance; the hooded figure approaches steadily.
Will's eyes look confused at his own hand to find a lightsaber he thought he had long since forgotten in it. His thumb finds the activation pummel and activates as the blue blade jumps out eager to serve.
The black hooded figure suddenly jumps to close the gap between the two and brings the red blade down to cleave Will in two. Will catches the red blade with his own blue blade and haphazardly deflects the attack. Will's blue eyes goes wide at the surprise of the swift power of the attack. The hooded man advances; flourishing the blade in his right hand and bringing across him to slash diagonally through Will's shoulder. Will catches the advancement with a cross block on nothing but Shi Choo impulses. The hooded man wastes no time and sweeps the legs out from under Will. Will hits the ground hard on his back side-- his blade accidentally extinguished. As Will's head hits hard against the ground-- instincts and impulses drove Will to send a Force Wave out all directions, hitting the hooded figure squre and sending him flying backwards and hitting a tree-- his own lightsaber flying into the fire.
Will finds himself on his feet with a new resolution. Fierce and primal as he activated the blue blade once more. The hooded gets to his feet and used the Force to send the blade spinning toward Will. Will Jumps and spins as the red blade passes just below him. Will lands on his feet and with hardened eyes and hardened-heart swings his own blade down at the lower haunched hooded figure-- just before Will's blade slices through his enemy, the hooded figure sends streaks of Force Lightning shooting through Will, paralyzing his body and his mind in pain. The hooded figure uses his own power to Force Push Will's body backward.
Will gains a new focus after the Force Lightning subsides, and he can feel the red blade on the return approach. Will lets the Force Push send him back; but Will uses his own energy to tuck his legs up in a backflip. The red blade passes under him again and back into the hooded figure's hand.
Will has grown impatient. Will puts all of his energy into a lightsaber onslaught where the hooded figure matches his every move; a tit for tat exchange on every move. Until both men catch each other's blade hand with their own open palm; each having their opponents wrist vice gripped. After several moments, Will shifts his body and hip tosses the hooded figure and he hits the ground hard.
The red lightsaber extinguishes as the hood falls. . .to reveal the identical image of Will himself. . . . .
Will wakes up with a gasp and gaping eyes. Will continues to breath heavy as he discovers that he is still in his masters robes and he is still in his quarters at the Temple in Coruscant. . .For now. . . .
These visions could not have been a coincidence. . . .Will rushes to his refresher and heads out to the only person that makes sense to him. . . .

"Sure, take all the time you need," ~while you still can~ I think to myself. If she cannot pull herself together, this mission will fail in a potentially fatal way. More importantly, she may not actually pass her Trials---and I know Terra is not cut out for the AgCorps. The Zeltron let her go as she shifted away from him."Fear is not always something that can be explained." As she curled up not looking at him, worried about her lack of memory, he tentatively reached towards her. But, his hand stopped just inches shy of her before he pulled back and crossed his arms. "Terra, he may indeed be there, but you are forgetting something." Green eyes flashed his concern as he looked at her. "You won't be alone. And---" he tapped the side of his nose with a finger, "you don't have to face him now. Often we can't tell what we will do until the situation arises. Don't borrow trouble. You can only deal with what is in front of you at the moment to the best of your ability with the knowledge that you have."

Terra nodded slowly."Yeah...y-you're right..."She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, finally calmed down from the nightmare. Opening her eyes again, she managed a small smile towards the Zeltron sitting across from her."Thanks Nik."She slowly pulled herself to her feet, still feeling afraid of what they might encounter at the lab, but it definitely helped to know that she wasn't going in there alone."I think I'll be OK now..."

"You'll be fine, Terra, just don't get cocky." He grinned at her lopsidedly, not sure why he'd tacked on that last bit. If anything, Terra could do with a good dose of confidence. It might draw her out of her introverted, shy self. Not that he minded, but sometimes she was hard to read.
The Zeltron stood up again and walked over to the window for a quick look outside before turning to face her again. He ran a hand through his unruly auburn hair, but it really didn't help matters---it still stuck out at weird angles.
"So...what's going on with you and Ralph?" he asked directly. Green eyes refused to look away from her. He didn't feel like beating around the bush, and often it was better to deal with things head on anyway.
