Malora took a breath, jammed her thumb on the button and played the message. An encrypted holomessage to Karana Malora is received on a holodisc given to her by Adrien Draykon. When she opens it a blue hologram of Adrien will appear with his signature cocky grin.Unakki! I hope you're misbehaving as much as I am. I wish I could say this was another social call, but it isn't. I'm headed to Mustafar to pick up a shipment and then I'm headed over to the Run to make the drop. I was kinda hoping you could meet me there. I've got a lead on that thing you asked me to help with a while back and since I said I'd help you find this something that's what I'm gonna do. I'm en-route from Naboo, shouldn't take too long get there, get my shipment and be on my way to you.
Who knows, maybe we'll get a minute to make time for another social visit, that is if we can get away from our crews long enough. I'll be at the Red Shift tomorrow, we can meet there. See you soon.As the message ends he winks at her. "…………LIYYYYAAAAAAAA!?" She was up and charging back towards the ship, holodisk held high above her head like some kind of victory baton. "LIYA!!!! DANIEL!!!!" Wrench, squealing and chirping, zoomed after her, absolutely uncertain of what was going on but reasoning (in his startled state) that if Counterpart_01 was screaming, perhaps he should be, too. Malora all but bull rushed the cockpit, not entirely certain how she knew that both Logan and Tawaza were there but not really caring all that much about it because THEY HAD A KRIFFIN' LEAD. "LLIIYYAA!!!!" Liya was standing the moment she heard Malora screech her name, weapon out, ready with an offensive stance. Daniel hovered somewhere half behind her, datapad clutched to his chest, eyes wide, clearly startled. He opened his mouth to say something, but she held up a hand. "No no. No. Just…..listen." Mal surged forward, bright with excitement, pressed the button again and threw (gently) the holodisk down on the table as the shimmering blue visage of Adrien Draykon smiled roguishly at them. As he disappeared with a wink, message delivered, the cockpit fell silent. The short, breathless seconds that followed seemed to stretch into eternity as the realization sunk in. Malora looked at Liya. Liya looked at Daniel. Daniel looked at Malora. It wasn't concrete. It was only a lead, a possibility, a SMALL one, it could be nothing. Malora could see the words in Liya's expression, the caution in her eyes even as hope rose in front of it. Calm. Think. Rationalize. Don't get too excited. It could be nothing. But it could be something. And that tiny chance? It was everything right now. "…We've got a lead, guys." Saying the words out loud felt important to Malora. It made it more concrete, firmer, more 'real'. The hope they produced tasted…familiar, but strange, like a flavor you hadn't encountered in a very long time. "We've got a lead."The short, shocked laugh that burst from her lips afterwards felt even weirder. Malora raked her hair back from her face and hurried over to the pilot's chair. "And I know what you're thinking, but Draykon wouldn't have mentioned it if he didn't think it was something, and I trust him, so. I think it's time to leave this cesspit. Pack up." She glanced at her friends over her shoulder. Was that a smile? "Looks like we're goin' to The Skip."
And they took to the skies, landing platform heavy with the weight of their abandoned despair. He didn't know this Draykon guy but Karana seemed to trust him, but did Liya? He looked in Liya's direction to see if he could get a read on what she thought but his attention was diverted back to Karana when she said their destination. "The Skip?"When they arrived to the Smuggler's Run it was like a window into the past, and he looked at the pilot's chair with glossy eyes. It was here that Jace had given him his first flying lesson. It was the first time he felt truly welcome on the ship, now just a shadow of a distant memory. The old Liya would probably have shot Malora on instinct and asked questions later, but that wasn't who I was anymore. The experiences of the last several years had forced me to relearn how to play well with others, even if I still pretended that I didn't like having teammates. Instead, as her screams echoed through the freighter, I merely jumped from my seat, blaster drawn and ready for a fight, and was promptly bowled over by the elated woman as she barged onto the bridge. Daniel Logan had been reviewing starcharts on the navicomputer, probably more out of habit than out of any sense of a new lead for our quest, and I had been patching the wiring to the co-pilot's com system for what seemed like the seventh time this month, but all of that was forgotten now as Karana slammed the holodisk down in front of us. For a long moment afterward, there was silence on the bridge, then, catching a silent look from Daniel, I nodded. " Adrien Draykon is bad news, but he wouldn't lie about this. He knows we'd kill him dead for a stunt like that." He might have ulterior motives concerning Malora, but he had to know that lying to her would sink his already trash-compactor-slim chances.Karana Malora was already in the pilot's chair, and so I hurried in the opposite direction, to secure the hatches and make sure everything was spaceworthy (it wasn't, but she'd hold together --- I hoped). We had a lead. An actually, tangible, no need to lie to ourselves to keep hope alive, lead. For the first time in weeks (months?), the black cloud hanging over all our heads seemed to lift. This was oh-so-much-better than hiding a credit chip away from the crew and pretending that a piece of Fel was still with us. Spending a significant chunk of Fel's life savings had felt like one last vestige of our captain being scraped away from us, but in hindsight, I also felt like an idiot for sitting on them for so long. It had been an emotional decision, not a tactical one, and I wasn't used to that. Now it was time. Time to go find Galdaart Fel and bring him home. Or, more correctly, bring his home back to him. And so, as the Red Cred had creaked and moaned and wheezed its way to hyperspace, I actually broke down and laughed.### Many hours later, The Red Cred broke from hyperspace right smack in the middle of the asteroid field known as the Smuggler's Run. Little had changed aboard The Red Cred, however. All three of us continued to find excuses to remain aboard the bridge, staring as the mottled nothing of hyperspace became starlines, and then asteroid lines, and then humongous death rocks lurching and twisting all around us. The only difference was that I now sat at the controls, the byproduct of a lengthier than usual negotiation with Karana. Eventually, 'control freak pseudocaptain' had won out over 'separated lover high on pure adrenaline' and I had scored the dubious responsibility of navigating the approach to Skip One without getting us all killed. The only comfort I could take during our white-knuckled ride through the asteroids was that if we died now, it was undeniable galactic poetry that we would perish right back where the search for Fel had begun, after hundreds of days, thousands of leads, and uncountable bajillions of miles traveled. But there was no further space for my mind to wander. If it had, it would have remembered how I hid The Bronze Star on one of the Skips, or the brawls we got into at the Red Shift, or the adventures aboard Oz's floating city. But none of that nostalgia could be allowed in right now. Even a momentary loss of focus meant death.Continued on Skip One...

When the Shadow arrived to the Run it hovered just outside the asteroid field where Adrien stared out the viewport. It was like being home for the smuggler, it had been so long since he had seen it, and seen his family and friends. And he was ready for some down time in a place where he actually felt comfortable, which may seem odd to most people, a place like the Run being comfortable. "Trent take us in, we're headed for Skip one." He looked at the pilot and then back out at the asteroid field with a slight grin, "Anyone ever been here?" Adrien turned to look at the rest of the crew, then to Silas specifically, "I know you haven't, but just to give you a heads up there are some that are the--unsavory sort. Try not to execute anyone." He looked again at Trent and nodded the go ahead.

Silas scowled as he looked out the viewport at the expanse of ruined rock beyond.
Unsavory how? he paused as the ship started moving ...take us in? In where? In there? he pointed at the asteroid field This is just a way-point before another jump, right? looking at the assembled faces for affirmation ...right?

Learning that Erly was gone was tougher on Trent than pretty much everyone else. He didn't know her well but he knew that they definitely had something between them, a bond of sorts. So Trent stayed uncharacteristically quiet during the run to Mustafar and beyond. Now that they were at the Smuggler's Run it was nice to see the captain happier, like something had changed within him at the core. Trent didn't know exactly what that change was, only that it was definitely present. He'd never seen someone so happy to see a place like this. "Yeah I've been here a few times." He looks at Silas with a rather large tooth baring grin. "You might want to buckle up, I've never flown a ship this bulky through an asteroid field, should be fun." He said in jest as he gave a knowing glance at Adrien and flew the ship closer in.*
*The field was dense but Trent navigated it flawlessly, weaving in and out, up and down, side to side as they drew closer to the middle of the debris field and skip one became visible. He turned once again and looked at Silas "There." He pointed at a large asteroid with several shielded openings. "Welcome to the Smuggler's Run." He said as they began their decent to the spaceport.

The M22-T Krayt Gunship belonging to the Mandalorian mercenary Orrick Awaud dropped out of hyperspace at the edge of the asteroid field. Sitting in the cockpit, behind the controls, Orrick let out a low whistle. It had been a long time since he had been here. Years, in fact. Moving the ship forward on sublights, he entered the asteroid field, weaving in and out of the rocks, heading further and further into the debris field. The further in he progressed, the more of Skip One could be seen. The shielded bays gave it away. Once close enough, Orrick began his decent into the landing area...

The Den Jagede, a Helix-Class Light Interceptor, exited hyperspace on the outer fringes of the asteroid belt that hid the notorious Smuggler's Run. A wretched hive of scum and villainy if there ever was one. And that was saying a lot, considering some of the places that Erpon had visited in his travels. Though, the aspect of being such a secluded place did appeal to him. And the fact that everyone here tended to mind their own business. That was also nice. Gripping the controls, Erpon piloted the craft into the asteroid field, dipping and weaving around the drifting rocks as he approached the main asteroid known as Skip One. Having recovered from the events that had transpired on Kessel during the trip to the Run, Erpon was ready to get back to work. And if this job was paying as well as his Mandalorian contact seemed to indicate it was, than it was a good place to rejoin the hunt...

The Cin Tracinya, a Ye-4 Gunship belonging to and operated by the Mandalorian mercenary Henoc Awaud, dropped out of hyperspace and began moving through the Asteroid field heading towards the Notorious Smuggler's Run. It had nearly been a decade since he had been here, too many it was a home away from home. To him though it was a place where he could find work, lay low and place to unwind. His reason for coming here after years of being away was simple, he was a, looking for work and b, looking for any information on the missing members of his Clan. As Henoc got closer he took a deep breath and began his descent into the landing bay.

Maneuvering the field was no small feat but the pilot was not only skilled, he had experienced this before, many a time. And it was here that he made a sudden turn that scarce few of many ever would have thought of then seemed to disappear into a wall of stone

A considerable amount of activity was noticeable on the asteroid belt. It was also painfully evident that these people should have never got past their learners permits for flying. The mental and carnage piling up was weighty indeed

A small ship rides gracefully into the asteroid belt. A small explosion sets up an exquisite light show and debris flies in all direction then quickly dissipates. Some time after the alert eye might catch sight of a small fighter but it too disappeared

The ride through the field was fast and uneventful except for a statement from a slightly miffed Ciarán -Ciarán- “Am I being elitist not being down with some mechanic handin me our destination info?" Laoch shrugged his shoulders

Cutting through the Asteroid belt was pretty far from easy. And with Laoch having commandeered the vessel from a now unconscious Tog pilot, Ciarán quickly gauged the odds of capping Laoch and managing to seize control himself. That idea quickly discarded he crumbled to the last solace of the dammed and fell to his knees -Ciarán- "Please! I did not mean to hurt anybody!" Even every head on the ship, including Loach's turned to that statement -Ciarán- "Alright! I grease them all - but they deserved it!!!" Laughter is the best medicine and all laughed hearty laughter. Laoch narrowly missed pasting them off several stones but finally at long last...
