And Eralam, we are totally awesome up here. Adirondack Park is the largest state park in the lower 48, encompassing 6 million acres and is the largest National Historic Site in the US. You want battlefields, we've got French and Indian and Revolutionary. I got forts everywhere.

I will have you know, my dislike isn't from some nebulous perceived conditions that I garner from other sources. I lived there for a few months during a great period of upheaval in my life. I couldn't hack it. The noise, the heat, the pavement, the lights. It never stops and it leeched my life away like poison. I had to run from it, fast as I could. My death was in that concrete jungle. I was out of my comfort zone, and it showed. I felt marked and hunted. I could have been wearing a red shirt for all I knew.
I might be one of your heroes, (which is strange to see someone write, btw. Have you seen the hot mess that is my existence?) but you thrive in an environment that I fled from. Wear that badge proudly like all the New Yorkers I know do.
