Integrating an HK into the ships system? Now that was a novel idea! And quite impressive, too. To get such an old droid to work with a newer ship system was no simple feat. Jair listened to Dalo explain how he got his crystal, but he would sense no judgement from Jair at all about any of it. Jair had a feeling that Dalo just might find something here he wasn't originally expecting. As they approached the cave, Jair nodded in agreement about being vigilant with their time here. But as Jair beckoned Dalo to follow him into the caves, all he said in response, with a gleam of excitement and intrigue in his eyes, was, "Do you sense it too...?"

Jair had a feeling that Dalo just might find something here he wasn't originally expecting. As they approached the cave, Jair nodded in agreement about being vigilant with their time here. But as Jair beckoned Dalo to follow him into the caves, all he said in response, with a gleam of excitement and intrigue in his eyes, was, "Do you sense it too...?" Dalo stopped just as Jair's words rang through him, lifting his senses to new levels. The Force whispered, "Dalo..." His eyes followed signatures of the Force, light a dimly lightened stream to a small cavern just off the continuing path. Dalo followed willingly, curiously probing the Force to guide him however it seen fit to. Crystals lined the walls and a few larger ones rose like spires randomly throughout the floor. The ceiling had the same, only smaller but just as beautiful as the rest. Dalo's breath blew softly, taking in the new sights. He never been in a place such as this. Some crystals beckoned him softly, some loudly, but the ones that had a sinister look and aura made him tremble slightly as he directed a strong focus to the Force and it's guiding hands.Suddenly he stopped in front of a cluster near the back. One in particular was a light blue, like his eyes and it pierced right through him as if looking into his own eyes. A warmness came over him, spreading evenly out from his chest that eventually touched every part of his body. Dalo seeing through the Force, saw a man standing with wide welcoming arms, radiant with a gentle light that could only mean one thing. Peace. And a voice spoke to him again, echoing the same peace in his mind. "It's about time." Dalo touched the crystal and it began to gently vibrate, causing fine micro cracks in a section of it's side. It produced a piece that softly sat into his hand, that he could do only but stare at for some time. A couple other crystals rolled to his feet, as if to accompany his main source to amplify the essence of Dalo's Force signature within the main crystal itself which would allow his blade to be stronger and truer than any blade Dalo has ever trusted. Trusting this is like trusting the Force, but also himself."Why, Jair? Why after all this time does the Force produce it's faith in me when I keep none for myself? How can anyone, really?" Dalo said humbly, shooting a sincere glance to Jair before picking up the other crystals then continuing to the main one allowing it to draw him in further. "Why has the Force chose me, Jair?"

Jair watched as Dalo was drawn to a particular crystal deposit. It was as if he was responding to a call. Jair could not hear the words that Dalo could hear, but as he observed Dalo receive the crystal, he could feel the currents of the Force in alignment within that moment. Yes. This was confirmation of what he had sensed earlier going into the caves. When Dalo finally spoke, Jair looked at him a bit quizzically.
"Why?" Jair pondered for a moment how to answer this question. It was a deep, personal, and heavy question. But it was also a question not easily answered, due to the enigmatic nature of the Force. "The Force will always do what it wills. If the Force has chosen you, then the Force has chosen you. Regardless of how much, or how little faith you place in yourself. That will not stop the currents of the Force from moving."
Jair met Dalos sincere glance. "I know that might not be the most satisfying answer, but... the ways of the Force are mysterious. All we can really know is that the Force has called out to you. And you are strong in the Force. I sense that you know, in many ways, how to trust the Force. But now, you must learn, in time, to have faith in yourself."

There was truth in them, he knew that all too well. He just needed to hear it. Dalo missed Jair's wisdom in times like this, for it always gave him a sense of comfort and satisfaction. He helped gather what crystals they needed for the temple and chatted like it was old times. Off on some mission, one teaching and the other learning. It was clear to him that he could always learn more. And if the Force could show faith in Dalo, then he supposed it couldn't hurt to reserve some faith for himself as well.
Dalo turned to Jair, slinging a bag over both their shoulders before patting him strongly on the back. "Anything else, oh wise one?" Dalo winked as he smiled softly.

Jair could not help but laugh at Dalos remark. Perhaps it's because Jair didn't really consider himself to be all that wise. But perhaps Jair needed to heed his own words? He chuckled again to himself, slightly. "Well... you would think it would be easier to find some little crystals to use for training sabers than it would be to find such a unique crystal as you just did. But apparently the Force continues to work in mysterious ways." Jair remarked with a smirk as he continued his search for very simple small crystals.

Dalo thought he had found all Jair needed, but to his surprise there was but a little more left to find which suited him just fine. He didn't feel like heading back just yet, for Jair's presence was attached closely to Dalo's mind because he hadn't known all that had transpired with his old Master since Chaos. He thirsted for the knowledge and pressed but a bit for information. "So besides scavenger hunts and deliveries, what's been keeping you alive all this time?" Dalo smirked teasingly with a playful wink. "I thought you would have been showered with praises and been made a galactic treasure with all the heroic deeds you must have done. Do they know you're out of the penthouse?" Disrespect was furthest from Dalo's mind and hoped Jair would not take it as such. He searched and bagged a couple of small crystal's for his old friend as he listened to Jair's next response intently...

Ah! Finally, a couple of small crystals. Usually they were easier to find. But Jair noticed that Dalo had found some too. Jair chuckled at Dalo's questions. "Well... truthfully, a lot has happened. Towards the end of the Chaos Wars, the Jedi all unified. Dunta Coral was our Grandmaster until he died in a duel. Eventually Aerandir Calmcacil would be elected the new Grandmaster. Felucia is now the headquarters for all the Jedi. Master Alora, Anna, and several others went off world to keep another menace named Legion, at bay. We have had no problems with the entity since, but I do worry about Raven sometimes, and Anna. I haven't seen them since... And then, there was a major Sith attack on the Jedi Base. It was catastrophically damaged from the attack. Had to be completely renovated... but we ended up building a new proper Jedi Temple."
As Jair finished collecting the crystals, he realized he hadn't really answered Dalo's question. He had asked what he had been up to, not the history of what had happened on Felucia. He shook his head and chuckled again. "Well, as for me... funnily enough I'm dealing with a bit of a problem. There's a gap in my memory. It's very odd."

Dalo smiled to hear Felucia was rising from the darkness that once nearly consumed it. Names Jair spoke brought flashes of memories to his eyes, welcome ones that lifted his heart. He longed for such a reunion, willing to risk digging up dark and sad times for the hope to be stronger if the time should come to handle it better than he had with Jair. Dalo's stare turned puzzled, flooding his mind with questions. "Gap? How so? Concussion or by means of the Force?"

Jair pondered for a moment as he started leading them back to the cave entrance. "It's not a concussion. It's evidently not anything physical, because I've had it checked out, numerous times. Nothing ever shows up. Everything is clear. Normal. I strongly suspect it to be by means of the Force. I'm not too worried. If it was by means of the Force... then the Force will eventually reveal things to me. In time."
At least a few months were missing. That much he did know. And it was before the old Jedi Base was raided. But Jair didn't want to worry Dalo unnecessarily. He wasn't too concerned about it himself. At least, not now. "That reminds me..." He added, as they finally reached the cave entrance, not realizing that Dalo wouldn't have been able to put the connection together like Jair did in context... "When the Sith raided the base, Master Gadriel left me an artifact to look after. I'm supposed to give it to Master Alora. Problem is, nobody knows where she went. Thankfully, the book hasn't caused me any issues." Jair thought a heads up about it would be wise. The reason he didn't have any issues with that book is because he left it well enough alone, and didn't mess with it.

The reason he didn't have any issues with that book is because he left it well enough alone, and didn't mess with it. Dalo sighed softly with relief to find that it wasn't medically serious, but it still left an uneasy feeling within his senses. The Force works in miraculous ways, but to wipe one's memory usually takes command. Or at least, that was his assumption which is sure to be ridiculed due to his age to which he accepted. He was young and knew very little of these things. Mention of this book just further raised his suspicions on his theory. But for now he would leave that be, and it was not his place to question decisions of Masters. Especially ones of higher status and understanding within the Order. So Dalo simply smiled cheaply, steering away from such accusations. "Ah, so are you tasked to find them next after these crystals get dropped off? Or perhaps the mysteries of this book should be investigated further by and elder, or perhaps the Grand Master would know better on what to do or how to explain your condition?"

"Oh, I've already told Aerandir about my condition. His advice was to meditate on it and let him know if anything odd shows up. Thus far, nothing odd though." Jair stated, quite casually. Dalo might find it odd that the Jedi wasn't taking it more seriously, and he might find the Grandmasters advice to be cliche, but truth be told, Jair thought the advice to be sound. There really wasn't much more to be done about it but wait and see what the Force would reveal. "As for the book... it's caused me no issues thus far. And I have a strong suspicion that is specifically because I've left it alone. I've made a conscious choice not to mess with it. And it's caused me no trouble as a result. That thing is a relic from the Chaos Wars, so... you probably understand why I have no desire, whatsoever, to mess with it."
They were back outside on the path headed towards where their ships were now. Jair pondered another thing Dalo had asked. "I won't be tasked to look for her, because we have already tried that. She has intentionally made herself difficult to find, I think. But it makes sense. I understand her motives. She's protecting the planet from Legion." Legion was not to be confused with Ramius and the Chaos Wars. It was probably a lot to keep track of. Jair didn't want to overload Dalo with information, but, it was a habit he had sometimes without noticing.

Typical Masters to be so...Ancient. But it was probably the best thing to do in this sense. If the Force can guide Dalo to Jair, shake his life, turn it upside down and inside out, while also bringing him to his source to build a new lightsaber for a station It decreed Dalo should be in; then it will surely bring Jair to where he needed to be and when he needed to be there. Mention of this Legion gave Dalo course for investigation as he had not heard of this new menace amassing in the galaxy."What's this new devilry you speak of? What is Legion?" Dalo spoke, curiously but cautiously.

That was a very good question. One that Jair wished he knew the answer to. Were it so easy. Raven would not have even found it necessary to leave Felucia. He tried to explain to Dalo as best he could, but Legion was even more of an anomaly than Ramius was.
"Well... I should preface by saying that we haven't had any trouble from Legion for a very long time. Years, even. But as for what he is... I'm not entirely sure. Our best guess so far is that he's some type of shade... like, a concentration of dark side energy made manifest and sentient to a degree. I don't know exactly how they've managed to do it, but Raven and Anna have held him at bay. And we've had no issues with that ever since."
Jair hoped this explanation would quell Dalo's concerns, because it was quite literally the best explanation he could give of that whole situation.

Dalo pondered for a while, trying to make sense of it all. He never heard of anything or anyone having such a power. The Force quivered in him for a moment before settling; a disturbance he felt, for lack of better words. It seems he's come back to the Force at the right time, but with so many years lost to him, Dalo felt a slight and old fear in him. Fear of not being enough again. To be helpless like when he was 10 and sleeping with a training saber next to his bed. Obviously he slept with far more dangerous things now but what are they to the Dark Side? Dalo needed to hone in on the Force successfully and somewhat quickly if he was to be any use to anyone, without sacrificing understanding and without taking short cuts of course. That would be far more dangerous."Well, it seems a lot of people have their work cut out for them then. I hope everyone is up to the task." Dalo prayed, whispering both to Jair and the Force. A light beamed within him in response, as if to tell him his message had been delivered. They returned to the ships and Dalo laughed at the sight, and the thought of trying to put everything they've collected in a tiny A-Wing. "So it seems it was not the Force, but your plan all along. How else were you to get these crystals back?" he smiled as he began the process of loading the Predator's cargo hold. Dalo kept his crystals close to him, refusing to part with them until he constructed a new hilt to house them and finally put them to the uses of the Force's design.

It was at that point that Jair realized just how many crystals they had taken. He laughed at the idea of taking them all back in his A-Wing. "Well... I wasn't exactly prepared to bring back quite this many, but, I think Aerandir will be happy to have an extra supply." Jair added with a grin, before pausing and contemplating the implications of what Dalo had just said...
"Does this mean... are you considering coming back to Felucia? To the Jedi?" There was a reason he hadn't asked Dalo this question yet. He didn't want to press anything too much. Dalo had been through a lot. But the implications of loading the crystals onto his ship led Jair to a logical conclusion that Dalo was considering helping him take the crystals back. Had Dalo even been back to Felucia since he last left? Was this something Dalo thought deeply about? Jair wasn't sure. So he just kept the question simple for now. As casual as can be, so not to pressure him to make any big decisions too soon.

He seen something that needed to be done, assessed the situation and just did. A part of him felt like Jair deserved that much. With a deep breath, Dalo exhaled softly trying not to think of what Felucia might look like now for all that was burned into his memory was Felucians crawling like spiders on roots and over walls, attacking without mercy or sense of danger. "It might be nice to see how much things have improved on Felucia. I can't run from it forever. As for the Jedi, lets just wait and see what becomes of your delivery. I'm sure they'll have many questions, as will I on what to do with my new found faith." There hid some secrets in the last statement Dalo made. In truth, he worried what they might think of him returning back to the scene of the crime so to speak. He was affiliated with pirates after all and they seldom asked who when they decided to take what they wanted. Dalo held this close for now, not wanting to risk any further disappointment. For now he was sincere in his desire to return, and was filled with purpose when speaking on things pertaining to the Force and it's undeniable will.

Jair once again did not pick up on anything Dalo was trying to hide. Even if he did, Dalo would probably be surprised to find that Jair was quite forgiving. But it was a moot point as Jair was still not going to probe Dalo's mind. There was no need for that. What he could sense, naturally, without probing anything in the Force, was that just returning to Felucia was a big step for Dalo, so for now, the Jedi beamed at the very notion that he would be willing to return at all.
"Well, whatever you end up deciding to do, know that there's no pressure from me. Take your time. Let the Force guide your moves. But for the time being, we probably should head off world. The longer we stay, the likelier we are to encounter Imperials."

Dalo nodded appreciatively as he smiled at Jair's guidance. The best advice too, and Dalo shook his hand once more. "Well I guess I'll see you back home then." he chuckled. He walked up the ramp to the Predator and stopped to turn and look at Jair one more time before they temporarily departed from one another. "Thank you...Master Crawford." Dalo smiled as he raised his hand farewell to Jair and sensed it was the renewal of another start to a good friendship. He looked forward to working with him again and if the Force wills it, perhaps pick up where they left off all those long years ago.The Predator's ramp closed behind Dalo as he finished boarding, systems came online one by one until the preflight checklist activated the engines sending a whirl of dust whipping through the grass. The ship softly lifted and made a speedy line to the orbit above.

"Home" ... Did Jair just hear that correctly? He smiled. Though he didn't say anything about it just yet. He still didn't want to press too much. But there was no doubt that right now Jair had a very good feeling about this. He beamed as he answered Dalo before getting into his own A-Wing. "You're welcome Dalo. May the Force be with you!"
Once Jair got back into his A-Wing, he too lifted off and followed a similar line back to orbit. His primary focus needed to be to avoid any Imperial patrols.
