Jade smiled enigmatically, not old enough to be totally unaffected by the overly dramatic gesture.
"Naturally, though if you're expecting me to call you 'milord' you might die of old age waiting for it," she replied archly as she slipped her arm through his. The two of them were out of the garden soon after.

Von didnt sense the small rock darting towards his head, it was only when the side of his head was struck hard and his vision flashed white for a second. Turning towards the direction of where it came from he looked to see that it was Kulaan looking away. Raising his hand up to his ear he felt a slight nick from where the rock hit him. Smiling he only laughed, he who was trying to impress couldnt even sense danger coming his way. Looking at Kulaan he smiled.
Guess I am not as good as I make my self out to be. I guess I need to work on paying attention a little betterLooking over to Johun he smiles and speaks aloud softly. So I am guessing failed that test.

Yes.
Johun nodded at Von's question.
But every failure is an opportunity to learn, and become better. Without failure, Victory isn't as sweet.

Kulaan had not expected her tail to swat the pebble at Von, she had only meant to block it with one of the two stones she had floating before her. She redoubled her concentration on her stones to make sure she didn't send them flying. Her tail lowered back down and curled around her right side, away from Von as he laughed and commented. Johun's response reminded her something she had frequently heard on Felucia.
And that’s why they kept telling us to pay attention on Felucia, because you never know when life is going to throw another lesson at you.
She nodded slightly and the rocks dipped slightly as well. Seeing the one in front of her move she once again shifted her concentration back to the rocks. Perhaps slightly too absorbed in keeping them afloat.

Johun stood.
I think that is enough for now. I want each of you to go to practice what we have done here today. Also, go to the archives and study the 7 forms of combat, it will come in handy very soon.
Johun bowed to each of them.

The afternoon sun shone brightly over the meditation gardens. There were a few about, meditating, studying, or simply just enjoying the nice day. For the majority, these things were but the norm of daily life. Coming and going, the same faces, the friendships, the lessons. But for one, things were new. The daily life others experienced was but a stranger to him.
Kahn made his way into the gardens, his steps slow and his gaze somewhat drifting of into nothingness. His mind had been working to process the events of the passed few days, the cloudiness of his mind still heavy. He had remembered waking in the infirmary to see a healer, a Twi'lek by the name of Nalatua'lin. She had told him he had been brought in from out in the woods. She had told him of the situation they found him in, the twelve Sith that had begun doing something to him, though she didn't know what. When asked who he was, he discovered he knew nothing about himself. There were no memories of his childhood thus far, no images of his parents, only a faint voice whispering a single word: Kahn. He had come to believe this as his name. But there was no last name, no hint of family or connection. The simple loss of memory had plagued his mind since.
It wasn't the only thing he discovered, however. He had instinctual reached for his chest to find something was missing. He remembered he had a necklace. It had a gold chain and bore a stone ruby gem. He couldn't remember why he had it but knew it was important to him. When he asked the healer where the necklace was and she mentioned it on a table across the room with his burnt and tattered clothes, he reached out and it came to him. It was then that he saw he could wield the Force. What made it more was how easily it came to him, using it to pull the necklace to him as if he had learned how to use the Force already. Despite his apparent aptitude, he recalled no training.
Finding a place under a tree, Kahn took a seat and messed with the necklace around his neck. He wished he knew what it meant and who gave it to him, as well as everything else about himself. But no matter how hard he tried, nothing came to mind. With a sigh and settled himself and closed his eyes.
After he had healed, he was brought before the council. They could feel the Force flowing strongly within him. While he was a bit older than the others, they decided to train him. This decision also came from the fact that no one could be found on the planet that had lost a child, despite the rumors they had heard. They also couldn't take the chance that other Sith would come after him where the others failed in their mission. With that, they set him up in the chambers of the other younglings, gave him a new set of clothes, and had him begin taking classes with the others.
In just the few days he had attended classes, he had shown an ability to learn beyond those his own age. It was uncertain as to whether it was due to previous training he might have received or just a gift he had. With his progression, it was established that he would soon be capable of being trained by a master. Though one had yet to be found, the council started searching to all who might with Kahn continuing classes in the meantime.
And so he was here. Class had ended not long ago. Some of the others had talked with him, wanting to train or have fun. He refused, however. For the time being, he wished to be alone as he hoped to remember his own life. So far, his attempts were fruitless, though he didn't wish to give up. For now, he pushed the thoughts aside as he reached out and connected with the Force and falling into meditation as his teachers had shown and instructed.

Kahn woke with a start. Looking around, he saw that no one was nearby. While meditating, he ended up falling asleep. But why? He couldn't deny that while in the depths of meditation, he felt at peace, the soothing flow of the Force through him calmed him. It made him wonder what the reality of the Force was. Was it just a simply energy that happened to flow through all things? Perhaps it was more as a spirit, or even a multitude of spirits floating around bringing such feelings to people. Even more, was it possibly a god watching over everyone possessing a will of its own? So many questions with no true answers. That was, at least not yet. It had only been a few days since he started learning of the Force that he knew of. There was much more to learn, of that he was certain. If anything, the calming feeling he got kept him from his wandering mind as he tried to remember his past. Perhaps he couldn't remember for a reason. Maybe it was best to leave it forgotten and focus on the future.
The idea seemed like a good one, but was currently unproven. The best choice to test the theory was to enter meditation again and see if his feelings differed. If he tried to remember while mediating, he know the truth to his thoughts if he opted to try again later or simply not even concern himself. Sitting straight once again, Kahn slipped back into his meditation.

The hours passed on as Kahn continued his meditations. Dwelling within the calming flow of the Force proved to bring an ease to his troubled mind. When he let it consume him, any desire that resided within him to know who he was and look to the past faded. As such, he believed it to be a sign. No longer would he concern himself with what was. What mattered was what would be. He would follow the Force and the ways of the Jedi and forge a new story for himself. with this state of mind, he stood to his feet and made his way from the meditation garden and into the academy.

Walking quickly on silent feet, the Jedi Knight threaded her way with half-closed eyes through the garden beds and around and between the trees and shrubs. She sensed, rather than saw, each obstacle as she avoided it gracefully. Coming to the exact center of the outdoor meditation greenspace, she closed her eyes completely, and sank slowly to her knees in the long, lush grass. Opening herself to the Force, she could sense every living thing that moved or took root within the garden, alive and full of vigor. One by one, she focused on their presences, then pushed them away, silencing them within her mind. As she freed herself from outside noise and shut out all nearby presences, her presence felt as if it was lifted from the surface of the planet Corellia, and she traveled up and out into the Force, stretching outward in all directions. It was as if she reached out with invisible hands, to grab hold of the galaxy itself.
Digging deeper into her reserves, she began to listen, straining for any whisper within the Force of the one she sought. It would take a very strong Force bond to be heard across such distances, and she had failed in this same exercise much more often than she had succeeded, but when it came to her brother, no bond was closer, and there was nothing she would not do to help him. Kel'Al's continued absence from Corellia was understandable, but his lack of communications was a cause for concern. And so, every day, she sought out the will of the Force, hoping that that will would contain either news of his well-being, or a warning of his current location and predicament. She knew there were limits to her powers, and even moreso, that she was limited by the will of the Force, and yet she stretched still deeper, refusing to leave any shred of effort un-exerted.
And then, just for a second, she sensed something. Her body seized as if an electric shock had run through her, and she knew in an instant that he was alive and present in the Force. He was too far away for a direct connections, and when she reached out to touch his mind, she could not find it. Almost immediately, his presence was gone once more. But there was a sense of his mind, a momentary snapshot, his state of being during the instant she had sensed him. She focused, breathing deeply and slowly, trying to understand before the vision faded. Kel'Al's mind was worried. He was preoccupied with a problem. It felt as if he were staring at the mental equivalent of a sheer rock cliff, unable to pass through it or ascend it. Instead, he was waiting out some lengthy delay. He was powerless to be anything except patient. Although she could not sense the reason why he was waiting, there was no alarm, no pain, no sign that he was currently in danger. Instead, there was just a quiet sadness, and under that, a deeply suppressed resignation to some fate. His quest was at an end, but ... he was unwilling to admit it?
The vision faded, and Kay'li's eyes popped wide open. She stared at the garden, blinking rapidly as the sunshine hit her sweat-streaked face. She was completely spent, but even as she collapsed into the grass in pure physical exhaustion, it felt as if a weight was lifted from her mind, and she smiled a thin, weak smile. It helped to know the truth.
Moments later, she was asleep.

The sun shone brightly over the mediation gardens, setting upon it a faint, yet beatiful glow. A perfect day to take it easy, relax, and fall into one's inner peace. Such moments could never be taken lightly as one could never say when it would be the last time one could feel it. And with the recent conflict between the First Order and the Galactic Alliance, reality settled in hard in that regard. There was no telling when the next conflict would or where, no telling which day one would be called up, no knowing which day would be the last.
It was a reality that Kahn always reminded himself. Each day, he made it a point to come here, if not to meditate, then to at least relax and walk amongst the plant-life. It was one of his favorite spots in the whole academy, being one of the places that settled his mind years ago when he first arrived. Today, though, he opted to simply take a walk rather than meditate.
As he walked, he thought upon his life here. It had been five years since he was found in the forest near the academy. He was told he was kidnapped by a group of Sith, yet had been saved by the Jedi with Sith being eliminated. But that day brought more than a few revelations. First was that he couldn't remember anything about his past. His memories started on that day in the infirmary. His name was all he knew. Second was he was sensitive to the flow of the Force and could wield its power. With that, he begun taking classes, learning to better control his abilities until a master became available to take him as an apprentice.
But in those five years, none became available. But it didn't bother him as it would most. He was happy enough, taking his classes, taking advice when given, and training with those who were available. His ability to learn quickly allowed his progression to keep moving forward quite well. He might not have gotten the more focused training of an apprentice, but he certainly wasn't left behind. He believed he'd eventually get paired with a master, or progress far enough that the council decided he could vbe elevated to a knight without one.
No matter the case, this was his life, and he was happy for it.

A young beautiful Hapan Jedi Knight in the customary green robes of the academy staff, strolled through the gardens. Her flowing black hair a contrast to her fair skin as it flows with the gentle breeze of the garden, jer jade eyes searching for a student. With a slight smile, Isra finds who she is looking for; with a patience and serrenity that would rival Master Roma, the young deputy administrator awaits Kahn to complete his morning meditations. . .

As Kahn slowly made his way around the gardens, he felt the presence of another enter. It wasn’t uncommon for it was a great place to study, meditate, or just relax. Still, he always tried to be aware of those around him. Never did he wish to interrupt another should they wish to be left alone, but also enjoyed the company of those who wished to talk or hang out.
As he rounded a bush, he looked up to see Deputy Administrator Isra Abel. She was quite beautiful, but Kahn never seemed to think much on it, much less with any of the other girls around his own age. At times, he was too carefree to worry about such things while during others he was focused on training and learning. He wished to keep himself up to speed and to be seen as a person of value within the order, not someone who was just there flowing with the wind.
After a few moments, Kahn noticed her gaze on him. Perhaps she wished to speak with him. If that was the case, he didn’t wish to keep her waiting and thus made his way to her. Kahn had grown well in the past five years, reaching a height of six feet tall. His key black hair remained its shaggy self, though it also seemed to grown back as if he tried to keep part of his hair pulled back. They helped pave the way for his brilliant sea blue eyes than remained as clam as ever. His attire was different than most in the academy. He went with the typical Jedi colors, dark brown pants and undershirt with a creamy white tunic over it. The major difference was it was sleeveless, showing how well shaped his arms were. Also different was how he carried his lightsaber. Being allowed to make one and move passed the training saber, he always kept it attached flat on the backside of his belt rather than hanging at his side.
Reaching Isra, he gave her a bow before speaking. "Master Isra. What can I do for you today?"

Quill entered casually into the Meditation Gardens - the light at first blinded his vision slightly, but once he was able adjust he saw the beauty the gardens held. He walked down the path, viewing others afar off in coversations with their Masters and students studying on their own. Quill came to a stone bench and sat his stachel down, and then proceeded to shed his Fathers jacket and lay it down as well.
The wind was blowing slighty, which caused his hair to fall into his face. As he moved it from his eyes, he closed them and felt through the force the abundance of life eminating from this place... it was tranquil, it was warm - it was light. He sat down, while losing himself in his thoughts and from his satchel he pulled a black notepad and pencil. He opened it and began to draw Kahn, a student he saw afar off bowing to whom he percieved as his Master. His heart longed for the connection that he felt a Master and Student had, a connection he could only assume felt like what a family was actually like. Quill, never knowing his Mother - and the only memories of his Father were cold, uncaring and detached, he yearned for something - the one thing that always eluded his grasp. Drawing scenes like this allowed his imagination to run wild, his thoughts to flow freely and for him to truly try to understand the life around him.

After a minute of serene patience, Kahn acknowledged her. With an regal decline of her head, she wrinkles her nose with an embarrassed smirk on her face. "Master? Come now, Kahn, am just a knight; assigned to assist Master Roma with any administrative tasks she might need executing here at the academy while she focuses on the high priorities of the Jedi Council. You know this, you're one of our oldest students-- why must you tease me so?" Isra chides the Learner a bit as she replaces rogue strains of raven hair away from her face. She folds her hands in front of herself, a physical prompt for her to regain her serenity. "To the end of serving Master Roma in stewarding our students, she has assigned me to task our oldest students." The young Hapan's eyes dart downward toward her hands, searching for what next to say, or to say anything at all. "How do you feel your time here at the academy is going? Or with the Jedi Order itself?" She raised her jade eyes to meet those of Kahn's searching for the intent behind them as she awaited with a serene smile on her face. She exuded patience and trustworthiness inside the Force; a diplomatic technique that serves her very well working with people, and treating dignitaries from through out the galaxy. .

After Kahn had addressed Isra, he noticed another had come into the Meditation Gardens and had taken a seat. He turned his head towards Quill, seeking to get a better look at him. Though he was enough away to keep details hidden, he didn’t recognize him. A new arrival, more than likely, and seemingly right around his age. Perhaps when he was finished speaking with the Deputy Administrator, he go over and speak with the boy.
Redirecting his attention to Isra, he noticed she dropped her head. It was difficult to see from his angle, but thought he noticed the smirk, an embarrassed one at that. He smiled a bit himself at the thought that with a simple title she felt that way. Still, he felt addressing her as such was only respectful. "Apologies, but at what point is a Jedi, Knight or higher, not referred to with such a title by Padawans and students, those outside the Order, or even others of equal rank? Still, I suppose I can drop formalities for you, Isra." It felt rather strange simply saying her name like that but turned his focus to her question.
"I’ve greatly enjoyed my time within the Order. All have been very accepting of me since I arrived five years ago. None seek to concern themselves with my unknown past, a sign that they care not about what was but who I am here and now. That’s how I interpret it, anyway. Despite still not able o find a master to take me on as an apprentice, the Masters are still helpful and give me advice to help me grow and progress. Knowing they still seek to aid me when I still merely a student keeps me from being disheartened at the notion."

The young Hapan Knight nods knowingly, and points to punctuate a point that Kahn had made. "Yes, it can be difficult to feel your worth when the Masters seem to be coming and going, distracted. It lifts me to know you have not been disheartened. Many of our Masters have elected to not take on Padawans from the Academy in this time of. . uncertainty." Isra Bel's brow furrows just a bit as she struggles to speak for the High Council of the Jedi Order that is largely silent on the subject of the future. "Despite the misgivings of the galaxy, there is more need then ever to train the next generation of Jedi before--" Isra breaks off, and clears her throat before she completes her thoughts. "the Headmaster, High Councilor Serrin Roma, is personally leading a referendum of practice here on Corellia; she has made it clear that we are to train our eldest students to completion by any means necessary. Therefore, as her Deputy, it falls on me to gather those who are most prepared and begin as soon as possible" Isra Bel smiles wide as she continues "Your meditations and clear serenity, and your years experience here in service to Ashla is testiment. Now we, as an academy, must begin to serve you. Councilor Roma will assign you a Master; but if you are to be assigned to the Master that she has in mind. . ." The Hapan knight blushes a bit and scrunches her nose at the thought "you must be fully prepared." She giggles just a bit as what that could mean.

Kahn nodded, knowing that much had been going on as of late. With the rise of the First Order and the battles that followed, many of the masters had their hands full. Despite the end of the battles with the Galactic Alliance and the signed treaty, uncertainty had become present in the air. The future that laid before them was filled with questions.
As he listened to her words about the need to train the next generation of Jedi, a slight twinge of hope and joy coursed through him, thinking that perhaps he would finally become an apprentice. However, the feeling was quickly dissolved as she stopped mid-sentence. His head cocked slightly to his left side as she started speaking again, the direction she was heading with it seeming to disappear. Where was her thoughts carrying her words? The only idea that could be formed with the few words that had been spoken thus far was the chance of more battles to come, possibly restarting the war with the First Order. But, for the moment, that reality was neither here nor there and he returned his attention to the Jedi before him.
As she continued on, it became clear that his training would definitely find its end as a student, even if not by a master, to which he was fine if that's what it was to be. The idea alone that those older students that had been training and waiting for a master would get that level of training, even if by classes, was more than enough for him. While he didn't doubt it himself, he knew that others would be lifted by the thought, knowing that they were going to receive the attention needed to ascend to the rank of Knight.
His head was then cocked slightly to the right as her last words came, this time out of a slight sense of amusement. He couldn't hide the slight smile on his face as he watched her stop a few times, smiling and blushing here and there. When she was finally done speaking, he laughed a bit, shaking his head before looking to her once more.
"So I suppose you are meant to help 'prepare' me for the master Councilor Roma has in mind? I can only imagine what that entails. That only begs the question of who is more prepared for this: you or me?" Kahn chuckled a little more as he teased her a bit before letting his smile soften and stood tall to address the reality with actual truth. "It is a comfort to know the Council has not forgotten about those who still lack masters and also has one in mind for me. I am ready to do what is required to prepare myself."

Isra looks away a bit uncomfortable once more, but quickly fixes the hair that falls by doing so and squares her chin with regal resolution. "No, Kahn. Not me personally, but the academy faculty will train you so that you will be better prepared for . .what comes next." She smiles sweetly. "You will report to the training hall tomorrow and demonstrate your capabilities with a saber; first and foremost."
Resolute, she folds her hands in front of herself. "Are there anymore questions, Kahn?" The Deputy Administrator asks. A tickle up from her neck has been nagging at her a bit; making her tickle through the conversation. Her jade eyes spares a glance at an unfamiliar visual seeming to. .be doodling her and Kahn?. . .
