Lynne stood on the bridge of her new ship, Oasis, as the fleet came out of hyperspace. This was the ships maiden voyage, well unless you count its service before the refit. Now it was no longer a warship, but a massive travailing hospital. The remainder of her fleet was also fairly new. An upgrade lobbied for by Captain-of-the-Line Daveed Motier. He commanded the warships, while Lynne over saw the medical vessels. In a sense he two was aboard the Oasis, but as blue hologram projection, being transmitted from his new command ship, The Gorgano. His fleet formed a wedge, in the middle of which were the three medical ships. Fighters were almost immediately swarming out of the hanger bays. Still only a captain, Daveed would once more follow the lead of the senior officers commanding the other fleets. Merrill, commander of the Medical Fleet's marines and other ground forces, was making sure all ships were prepared for possible boarding actions. She was standing close by to Lynne at a terminal, coordinating with the other ships officers. Looking out the view port, Lynne was filled with a hope as she saw the might of the Coalition gathering. It seemed like they were a formidable lot, perhaps even strong enough to fight off a Executor. The doctor then turned to her own communication and sent a message to the other fleet commanders.
=Lynne= The Medical Fleet and her escort are in system and awaiting orders!

Victor watched the holo display light up as more and more forces arrived, comms officers responding to the various forces as they checked in. Relaying the ideal battle plan, while ensuring each commander was prepared to react when it fell apart. With their scanners online and running, the Coalition forces were finally given a full picture of the orbital defences. A single XQ6 Platform sat in orbit, flanked by a pair of derelict looking Imperial II Star Destroyers and a half dozen Victory II Star Destroyers. Surrounding them, were a mishmash of transports, frigates, and corvettes. A decently sized force, but nothing that the combined fleets of the Coalition could not handle as the clock continued to tick away down to zero. The Osarian and Rhommamool forces providing no sign they intended to surrender. Victor radioed the Coalition vessels then All Coalition forces, choose your targets. Once the countdown reaches zero, engage immediately. Be mindful of the first medical escort fleet and her operations. Any wounded prisoners are to be escorted to the medical fleet for aide. We are here to remove an Imperial Warlord and free the people. Once the fleet is disabled, I want ground forces deployed to Ossa-Prime. C sec has indicated this is where the head of the Imperial forces here is located. Capture him alive if possible... Fights like this always got messy, and capturing a rogue dictator was not always possible. And Victor did not want anyone unnecessarily losing their life to capture this criminal. His gaze returned to the countdown clock, watching it hit zero. The Acheron's engines pushed the vessel forward, it's main fire focused upon the XQ6 platform, with the pair of MC80B's providing backup fire. The MC140 Scythe's meanwhile split up into groups of 2 to provide fire upon the Imperial II's

"Provide cover for the admiral. Vectors on screen"
Said the admiral, clicking on his command chair's holographic console. More displays of the same nature had appeared, tilting slightly, around him, the placements of both enemy and allied ships. The data provided by the other ship's crews appeared, with several ships moving slowly over the reddish holographic surface.
"They're going to take on both Imperials, let's form against the Victories on their left. Oathkeeper in front, Honor of Dac covering the flank and Nebulons as backup. Blockade runners, hide in the mass of the destroyer and be ready to take down enemy fighters. Fighter wings, engage enemy fighters and escort bombers so they can deliver their ordnance"
The crew pits were a hub of activity, officers focusing on their consoles, officers barking orders. Their screens were filled with numbers, data, schematics.
"Phoenix squadrons, form on our left, prepare to flank their formation, crossfires on front, bombers behind. Eyeballs and Dying suns, escort the Hardpoint and the Dac's Avenger bomber squadrons"
The TIEs holographic shapes started to form up with the larger and mightier B-wings, full speed ahead. The commanders' voices could be heard in the communicators, organizing their wings.
"Full frontal barrage on the nearest cruiser. Honor of Dac, follow suit"

All forces were cleared to engage by Marshal Victor, and Daveed quickly snapped into action, directing his fleet of small, but capable ships into battle. Eager to impress his superiors, by hopefully securing the right flank and capturing a few victory destroyers as well.
=Daveed= All ships move to engage the the Victory IIs to our starboard side. Dac's Revenge and Shield of Salvation, hold back and give the medical ships your cover. CR90s, wait to attack till the victory destroyers are occupied with our larger ships, then move in and hit them from behind. E-Wing squadrons, tie down the enemy fighters and keep a bath clear for the K-Wings to make their runs. Rembember people, aim to disable these ships if at all possible.
And with that command issued the fleet begain to move. Targeting the furthest starboard ship first and would sweep in from the flank one by one.
=Lynne= Oasis, Salvation, and Cilghal, await the battle to be met and once the first reports of casualties start coming in, we will move in. Our ships duribilty should keep us safe enough to wade into the thick of it if we have to. Do not engage unless fired upon. Secure as many wound as possible before moving to the next zone.
The medical ships held back with their two escort ships. Lynne mean while made her way to her ready room to don her Valkyrie armor, just in case she needed to board a ship, or her own ship was boarded. She paused to check to look at the engagement ring that hung around her neck. It's simple golden band still shown as if brand new. She hated not wearing it on her finger, but would hate the thought more if it were damaged while performing her duties. Shaking herself back into the moment, she tucked it into her under shirt and finished putting on her armor. This was to possibly be it's first field test, and as she returned to the bridge, several crew members stopped and stared, as it seemed an angel had appeared in their midst. The illusion was broken as Merrill gave a playful cat call.
=Merrill= You rock those wings, Captain!"
This had the desired effect and put an amused smile on Lynne's face. That smile turned from amusement to confidence as she marched forward, back to her command station, waiting for the battle to be joined.

The XQ6 station seemed to shake as the shields absorbed the incoming fire from the MC90 and pair of MC80B's. Bombers from across the Third and Tenth fleet focused mainly on the XQ6 and the Imperial II's. The MC140's we're reinforced by the Corona-Class Frigates and the Nova-Class Battle Cruisers of the Third Fleet in assaulting the Imperial II's. The combined wave of starfighters from both fleets clashing with the TIE fighters of the imperial opposition, while the Ranger-class Gunships and Warrior class Gunships provided starfighter screening to protect the capital ships.
Meanwhile the Victory II Star Destroyers on the left flank began taking and returning fire against the Oathkeeper and its support fleet. With TIE fighters moving to clash with the starfighters deployed by the Coalition. The shields on the Victory's shaking as the bombers began their runs, while the laser cannons did their best to ward off too many successful runs. The support transports, frigates and corvettes moved up then, trying to take a more aggressive position on the Oathbreaker's support fleet.
The Victory II's on the right flank meanwhile pushed from their formation to engage the First Medical Escort Fleet as it in turn had moved to engage them. But their commanders were in for a surprise as the MC95 known as the Ackbar had also turned and engaged the Victory II's with the Medical Escort Fleet. The Victory II's having no choice but to divert the majority of their focus on the MC95, over the Medical fleet. TIE fighters quickly deploying to deal with the Coalition starfighters

"Report"
"Some fighters were shot down or disabled, but the wings seem to be in good condition. The commanders are in control and following orders accordingly. The enemy shields' have received a good amount of damage, sir"
"Good. How're the Phoenix squadrons doing?"
"Their vector is approaching the critical point, they will soon be able to flank the enemy"
"Good. Full speed ahead, divert power to frontal deflectors"
He draws a vector on the holoscreen in front of him.
"An offensive manouver to distract them from the flanking starfighters. Prepare a full barrage to cover our advance. Focus on the Victory to our right. When we're close I want all our ion cannons to focus on said ship, followed by our octuple batteries on the side"
The admiral clicks the comm.
"Jehengir, follow suit. Aggresive manouver, advance and hit the Victory on our future left flank"
"Yes, admiral"
"Blockade runners, form up around the bridge's tower, provide screening for incoming fighters. Full deflector power, you may absorb some incoming turbolaser shots. Nebulons, take cover on our back once we take position go over our octuple bateries and provide anti-capital fire against the enemy cruisers"
On the comms one could hear the different commanders barking orders. The fighters started to regroup around the flagship, while the bombers continued harassing the enemy ships with their own escorts. The Corellian corvettes left the shadow provided by the ship's aft, positioning themselves in an envolving arc before the bridge itself. The Nebulons arranged themselves behind the Star Destroyer, ready to execute the said manouver. The Honor of Dac was covering the flank, slightly behind the charging Star Destroyer. The shapes of every ship detailed on the bridge's large consoles.

With the Victory IIs suddenly occupied by the Ackbar, the Medical Escort Fleet went mostly unhindered. And it was after this initial engagement that the CR90 Blockade Runners executed their manuver. Sweeping in, under the first of their targets, the ships began firing on the engine banks of the enemy vessels. The fighter engagement was fierce though it seemed on this flank the numbers were in favor of the Coalition forces. The K-Wings began attack runs against the enemy ship's flank, making it suicide to concentrate shields to just one of it's sides. Soon this first ship would be overwhelmed as the Escort Fleet made to wrap all the way around the Victory IIs and begin hitting them more from the side and rear while the MC95 held their attention forward.
The trio of medical ships also began their approach, they and the two escort ships and fighters, held fire unless the enemy opened up on them first. But for now, the Endless Salvation moved to the fringe of the dog fighting and began securing disabled fighters that still had life signs aboard. Both Imperials and Coalition forces were brought aboard for treatment.

The XQ6's shields continued to buckle under the fire from the trio of capital ships and the bombing runs being made by the starfighter wings. Despite the defensive capabilities of the station, the Coalition forces managed to overwhelm it. With the shields falling beneath the barrage and allowing the bombers to begin focusing on key infrastructure such as sensors and antenna's while boarding craft were launched to subdue the forces within. The pair of Imperial II's meanwhile continued to hold up under the assault, but even they were beginning to feel the pair of the forces they were facing. With the fall of the station on the horizon, soon they would have to contend with the additional firepower of the MC90 and the pair of MC80B's. But the Captains did not relent on their assaults, splitting their main fire between the MC140's, while using the secondary defences to deal with the Corona-Class Frigates and the Nova-Class Battle Cruisers.
Bit by bit, the TIE fighters that had been numerous and filled the space in the beginning were thinning in numbers as they lacked the support they needed to combat the intense starfighter screens and the Coalition craft that had been tasked with taking them out.
Commands were running wild aboard the Victory II's, with their shields slowly being worn down. No where was this more true, than the target of the maneuver that Ostrenis' fleet was currently engaging in. The captain of the vessel barking orders to get reinforcements while ordering more power to the shields and forward guns. But it was all little too late as the Ion cannons blazed a path across the void, draining the last of the power from the shields before the hull was punctured by the turbolaser fire. The Victory II being targetted by the Honor of Dac quickly turned to pull from formation, trying to escape the tactic that it was certain the Oathkeeper was bound to attempt again. Meanwhile, the third Victory II spun 90 degrees to its side. While this did present a larger target for the Coalition forces to hit, it gave more firepower for the ship to attack the Oathkeeper with.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the fight, the trio of Victory II's were dealing with a quickly devolving situation. The left most Victory II's engines came under fire and were soon blown apart by the CR90's, as the shields had been focused forward and above to protect the bridge from the Ackbar. The other pair of Victory II's fared much better, with their shields having been dispersed across the ships. It came with the disadvantage that over all their protection was significantly less on areas like the bridge, but it meant the vessels still had engines as they kept trying to move around the MC95. A plan that was becoming more difficult as the Medical Escort fleet flanked around their sides and rear. Indeed, the left most Victory II soon took several shots from the MC95 and the K-wings that spelled its doom. Meanwhile the Victory II closest to the right was beginning to feel the heat.
Victor continued watching the displays, once the Station was dealt with, the Imperial II's and Victory II's would be easy enough to deal with. Once they were done, the skies would be clear enough to begin deploying their landing forces to the surface of Osarian

"Full impact, admiral. Their hull must be somewhat compromised, we have punctured the ship's surface and the damage to their systems must be extensive"
"Good. Tilt the ship by the indicated degrees, then continue to pound them with our octuple batteries"
Replied Ostrenis, who was still monitoring all the activities from his holoconsole. The Honor of Dac, in turn, was showering the Victory turning to face it with a barrage of ion fire, while the powerful turbolasers followed suit. The many impacts on the deflectors looked like New Alderaanian fireworks. The Oathkeeper, like a dagger, was advancing through the gap left by two Victories, specially since one of them was trying to pull off. The Nebulons then took their new positions, hovering over the Oathkeeper's flanks and supporting the flagship's attack. Both cruisers were tuning their firing systems quite admirably, with one helping the MonCal cruiser on the left and the other firing the already weakened Victory on the right.
"Full barrage, break their formation"
He could see the triangular shape of the destroyer, flanked by the dots of the starfighter wings, cuting through the enemy line like butter. And then, he saw it. The third Victory had turned its atention to the Oathkeeper, taking the bait as expected.
"Phoenix squadron, full power head, engage. Target shield generators and turbolaser batteries"
With the dagger-shaped cruiser trying to bombard and open fire against Ostrenis' flagship it had left unattended its very own flank. Suddenly, the Phoenix cruiser's fighter wings were upon it, having done a flanking manouver as instructed. Exploiting its weakness. The bomber started delivering their explosive ordnance against the exposed hull of the Victory, targeting the weaponry on the right flank, while others took the shield generator domes as target. The starfighters rushed in to destroy any flying resistance, hunting down the cruiser's TIE wings. The Duros smiled slightly, with satisfaction, waiting the reports from the sensors and the starfighter commander.

From aboard the Gorgano Captain of the Line Motier issued orders for his fleet to continue encircling the Victory IIs. Not wishing to see the vessels needlessly destroyed, or lives lost, Daveed signaled to open a channel to the remaining Victory Destroyers they were engaged with.
=Daveed= Your position is hopeless, power down your weapons and shieds, and surrender. This is your final chance!
The fleet was already enveloping the ships, holding fire until a response was heard from the enemy. Meanwhile, the Medical ships had moved in toward the disabled capital ships. They began securing the various escape pods and bring them aboard.

The guns of the XQ6 fell silent as the boarding parties landed in the station, the Coalition forces making quick work to move throughout and secure defence platform. This allowed the MC90 and MC80B's to shift their focus upon the pair of Imperial II Star Destroyer's. The MC140's were starting to show the signs of the assaults they had been taking, with their shields starting to fail and sections of their hulls being torn into by turbolaser fire. They soon found relief as the Imperial II's shifted fire toward the trio of new ships. Their shields slowly starting to fail from the Ion fire and bombing runs being performed.
Escape craft launched from the Victory II as more and more turbolaser fire was poured into the vessel. The reactor rupturing moments later and causing the ship to explode. The furthest out Victory II soon realized the folly of their maneuver too late as the Coalition ships flanked their position and started dropping bombs upon the shield generators and the enemy was better able to target the exposed underbelly of the ship. The final Victory II, which had began moving clear of its formation line, started taking hits. Its shields failing as the hyperdrive started spinning up, the captain hoping they could get free. That was until a shot punched through the ship and damaged the hyperdrive. The ship shot away from its position, turning into a hailstorm of shrapnel that was hurtled into hyperspace. Where it would end up, was anyone's guess. For now, the enemy's flank was broken, with the support ships quickly scattering and making jumps out of the system or surrendering to Ostrenis' forces.
The guns of the Victory II's that the Medical fleet had surrounded fell silent as Daveed's demands came over their comm systems. With the opposite flank gone, and the Imperial II's certainly soon to follow, their position was no longer tenable. And they were caught in a net and would be unable to escape. With that in mind, the captains offered their surrender to the Medical Fleet, with boarding crews from The Ackbar quickly being dispatched to secure the bridges and the crews that were left alive.
The air was now clear, but there remained one final battle to be one. And that was upon the surface of the planet. Victor opened a line to the Coalition fleets then, the next phase would be launched into motion Imperial naval forces are subdued. All commands are to begin landing ground forces as soon as possible. Landing sites have been identified. Rendezvous on the ground, there we will march upon Ossa-Prime and remove these warlords from their seats of power once and for all. Civilians are in the area, so air support will be limited.

"Resistance eliminated"
"Report loses"
The numbers scrolled on the holographic console. He knew some of the men and women that had died. Good soldiers. They didn't die in vain, he hoped. At least his wings' commanders had survived and all over the places the ships remained in good condition. Only minor repairs and adjustments. The Oathkeeper itself had held up quite well against enemy fire. The dead would be mourned and honored, but not yet, there was duty still to be carried. A planet to be liberated.
"Order the transports to proceed. Made a protective circle with the corvettes. And prepare the ship for atmospheric flight. Send word to the other commanders that the Oathkeeper may serve as a meeting point once we're over the planet's surface"
The Corellian corvettes started to position themselves around the transports that had left the hangar bays and were heading to surface, then, the destroyer engaged his sublight engines and started going down as well. Soon, they were crossing the upper layers of the atmosphear and the ship positioned itself all over one of the landing places, the transports unloading their cargo under the destroyer's massive shadow. The menacing shape of the Imperial Star Destroyer was a threat all by itself. The corvettes patrolled the surrounding area while the destroyer's powerful sensors scanned the planet, trying to get intel for the land troops.

Lynne and Daveed went over casualty reports. They had come out pretty well, thanks to the Ackbar taking most of the punishment. A couple of the CR90s would need to be dry docked, but that was a relatively small price to pay for gaining 3 Victory IIs for the Coalition. Something Daveed was very proud of. Now came the next stage. The potentially long ground campaign. Lynne addressed her medical fleet from the bridge.
=Lynne= Once an LZ has been secured, start deploying our U-wings and Loadlifters to establish a field hospital. Fighter wings are to keep the skys clear for our transports, and bombers are to report to the commanders coordinating for ground support. Lastly, marines, you are to protect the field hospital. Let's get it done folks, and I'll see you on the ground.
Lynne and Merrill then made their way down to the hanger, where Guardian Angel was waiting to carry them to the surface.

With trade prospering over Osarian, the Neimoidian senator Linuy Findos returned from recent talks with the local gouverment towards the Aglais, which was currently in orbit. By further funds and supportive means, the local Coalition military has provided further assets towards the Neimoidians, which would proof fruitful for the current resistance fights within the purse worlds. Time has passed and the skirmish has reached for the moment a stalemate due to the intervention of Imperial militia on major battlegrounds like Cato Neimoidia. Although the guerilla movement is so far a success, the senator herself is concerned that the victories might only be short-sighted, as the Coalition faces new challenges with each coming day. Nontheless efforts are maintained, as additional space for military craft and transporters is provided aboard the large battleship.
