The shuttle was highlighted by a column of black smoke rising high into the atmosphere. From closer up it was obvious that the shuttle has landed roughly, as a wedge of carved up sand stretched back nearly a thousand meters from the hundred meter craft. The craft was marked on the bow as a MMC ship run by Blue Shift Transportation, likely making it one of the quick dispatch craft. Such craft were usually crewed only by droids, with only a single living being on board at most.
Most of the possibly risky systems & data had auto-destructed on the crash landing, to prevent outsiders from salvaging the info to use against other MMC holdings. However, deep inside the craft was a priority package, a datacube headed for a core world buyer, safely locked inside a carrying case & tucked inside one of the multiple safes inside. A Repo crew from Clan D'Ordinii would be along shortly to recover the object.
Unfortunately, the crash had already been discovered by the local population, with a number of speeders & bikes already clustered around one of the larger gaps in the hull. Six beings were visible from the outside, minding the vehicles.

The shuttle jarred Cage slightly as it rocked back and forth, here he was finally part of a clan. He wondered silently if his mother and father would be proud. He had been contacted after dealing with the hostage situation and had been assigned a new mission. So here he was on a shuttle on some new planet with a new job. As the shuttle began to make its descent path the pilot came over the ships intercom "Be advised, landing shortly appears to be people around the crash site. Likely locals, make sure you keep this one clean". Nodding Cage responded "Affirmative, ill try to keep the casualties to a minimum"
As the ship came low the back hatch opened and Cage stepped out of it, allowing gravity to take him down a short ways before he used his jetpack to land lightly about twenty feet away from the ship. He began to walk towards what he presumed were locals guarding the vehicles. He kept his hands on his shotgun, but had it lowered, the posture was not aggressive, but it gave a clear signal. As he approached Cage said "I am a member of clan D'Ordinii, and I must ask what your intentions are here."

The six beings still by the speeders looked to be either human or near-human. At least in the broadest sense of the word. All six of them looked like that had been mauled by something or other in the past, or had failed to get proper medical treatment over a harsh lifetime. Several were missing fingers. The largest present shouted something back, it took a moment however before it was recognizable as Galactic Basic.
-Big Guy Geroff her. dis rock don bin cramed by da grum cran!
It was obvious that the man was trying to intimidate Cage into leaving. However a quick glance would show only a single beaten up slug thrower in the group, the others holding makeshift knifes or clubs.

Sighing Cage retorted "so its going to be that way eh guys? Come on, im just doing my job here, let me get what I need and you can have what is left. Don't make me do this the hard way, just take the deal" the entire time he spoke Cage surveyed the group. One of the men had a slugthrower that looked like it had seen better days, but the rest only carried melle weapons, and given Cage's current armaments and their lack of armor, he was fairly sure that if it came to a dust up he would be on the winning end. Regardless he shouldered the shotgun, but kept the barrel pointed downwards, this time his body language was more clear, obey or be subdued.

The Big Guy was obviously used to being the most threatening figure on the field at any time. Seeing someone in gleaming armour & decked out in weapons was somewhat of an eye opening experience. On the other hand if this person could save them the trouble of trying to cut into each vault, that would be extremely valuable. Within a few more hours two or three of the smaller clans will have worked up enough nerve & desperation to band together long enough to take the wreck from the Gun Clan.

Clicking his tongue Cage thought about it for a moment, as far as he knew of he was only here to retrieve that one specific object. "I don't see why it would be an issue, you've got a deal" Cage replied to the man. With that he turned off external comms and said into his helmet "Connect to operator, I need the codes for the other safes so that I can complete a little transaction with these kids, otherwise I'm gunna have to use their guts to paint the sides of this ship."

There was a slight pause while Cage's data transmissions were switched over from the automated systems to an Operator. This wasn't a major engagement, or even combat at all yet so he didn't warrant a full command team, just a single Operator to hook him up with the info he needed.
-Operator Copy that, Everything else on-board was insured & listed as lost with the crash. Hull damage looks pretty bad from your feed, so I'm not sure how much will be left. Ah, clearance granted. Here is the code data. you are going to have to open each vault individually due to the ship damage. The package should be in Vault 57. Additionally, I'm getting a request from higher up to fry the contents of vault 15. I've got an alternate code here that should destroy the contents before it opens. Anything else you need before I disconnect?
A pair of data bursts had already arrived over the system. While it wasn't technically all the data, it was a key-card system that would let him access the data through the automated systems. Of course if he wanted, he was free to just grab a copy to store elsewhere in his armour.

"Got it, out of curiosity though what exactly is in vault 15" Cage responded. Next he turned his external comms back on and spoke "Alright guys you got yourself a deal, big guy you come with me, the rest stay here." Cage said before turning and walking into the ship. He went directly to the vault containing his objective and opened it, next he grabbed the case and attached it to his armor on his belt. Turning he began to move towards vault 15 complete his mission and the deal.

-Operator no clue.
Unfortunately #57 had already been opened by the scavengers & the package was nowhere to be seen. From the size clamp downs in the vault it was likely that the protection case was nearly a meter on a side. On seeing that the vault was already open, the Big Guy just shrugged.
-Big Guy <One of my boys must have already opened this one.>

Cage stared at where the case should have been and clicked his tongue once more. Finall he spoke "well big guy that right there is gunna be a problem, so I tell you what, you get me that case or I enter a code and scrap every piece of salvageable gear here, understand?" Cage had turned to face the man while speaking. Though the man was bigger than him, Cage had his shotgun and was more than willing use it at this point.

The Big Guy picks his nose while thinking about it. The man in armour hadn't opened a single vault yet, so there was no proof that he even could. That meant he also couldn't destroy anything in the vaults. Besides, half the best salvage was engine parts anyway.
-Big Guy <How about this, you open up some of these doors & I'll see who grabbed your pretty toy.>

Punching the codes in for the next closest vault that wasn't 15 Cage opened the door. "there you go, opened now fulfill your end, and you may want to do it quickly my employers and I are not the most patient." Cage said. The frustration and building anger was clear in his voice. The man's drawling accent had taken even more of a toll on his patience, and now they were further impeding his mission. Last chance big guy, next time you mess up im gunna use your brains as wall paint, then im gunna do the same to your little buddies outside Cage thought glaring at the man under his helmet.

The Big Guy shrugged. Well if the stranger knew how to open the doors, chances where his other threat was good as well. it might not be the only reason for the salvage but so far the rooms had proved interesting & a few valuable. Leading the way toward the front of the ship, the Big Guy was able to quickly locate the rest of the salvage crew. It look to be just upwards of twenty people picking over their finds & trying to strip as much extra weight off them as they could. The room had been the main loading area, 7 at least three people were attempting to cut open the ramp enough to get the stuff out.
The only thing both the right shape & size to have fit in the mounting in #57 however had a younger teen poking at it carefully while two others half-watched while stripping down some engine parts. Most of the kid's hair was still sticking up in odd patches & he was sporting some brand new burns on his fingers, but he seemed otherwise non-deterred from opening his prize.

What Cage saw was a scrawny teen trying to open his mission objective, well this just couldn't be allowed. Gesturing to the bigger man Cage began to walk towards the teenager, who was probably only a little younger than himself. Walking up to the teen Cage stopped about four feet from him and spoke up loudly, "Nice piece of salvage you got there, too bad its mine. Tell you what though kid hand it over and ill give you the codes to a vault in the ship, just for yourself. The other option is not a fun one I assure you, so just make this easy for both of us ok?"

The teen looked thoughtful for a moment. A glance at the boss told him the stranger could live up to the deal. But that also meant the box he already had was worth more than anything else on the ship.
-Teen <Make it three or no deal.>
Most of the other action in the room had ground to a halt when the man started talking to the teen. Only the trio working on the ramp kept cutting.

"Kid I like your guts, but im gunna have to give a red light for that one, you are part of their clan, and as a mandalorian I believe you are held to that by honor. I can give you access to one vault, for personal gain as a reward, but any more detracts from your people is just degenerate and thieving." Cage stared the boy down shotgun in his hands. Finally he spoke again "Take the previous deal or im going to have to do what I have been trying so hard to avoid"

The teen seemed to think about it for a minute.
-Teen <So you are going to open the rest of the doors anyway? That's boring. All this stuff is going to get sold or traded off anyway. It's not like we are going to get to keep any of it. But cracking something the others couldn't means you're pulling your weight. Take it.>
A glance around would show most of the others nodding along.
-Big Guy <We keep some engine parts to fix up our rides & make repairs. The rest goes to the food lords for clean water & food. We keep some weapons as well, to help us keep what we claim.>

Taking the case Cage nods towards the teen, "Yes ill be opening the rest of the safes, you get to keep whatever is inside" he said to the people around him. Before turning back, the case now on his hip and entering the secondary code for safe 15. Other than that he handed a data pad with the necessary codes for the safes to the bigger man before walking back to where he had originally jumped from.
"Connect to operator, this is agent Cage. I have the package and am requesting pick up. The LZ is friendly and no natives have been killed."

-Operator That is good to hear. pick up is on route. should be there in a little over a minute.
The speed of pick up was mainly due to the ship having stayed nearby while waiting for everything to wrap up one way or another. Yet another successful mission was added to Cage's personnel file, this one performed with surprising skill.
