Kashk eyed the man with his vertical reptilian pupils. He flicked his tongue out, gathering airborne chemicals. Placing his forked tongue into the gland in he roof of his mouth, he deciphered them in his brain. He was quite good at this, maybe he could detect something about the man...

He smirked, glad that he had both on board with this for the moment. Well to put it bluntly I need about 5 men, guns, ammo, explosives and whatever else they decide to bring with them. Cost is of little concern for Kad so long as his will be done. Kad, the war god of the Mandalorians was one were the priests were fanatical. A handful of his brothers killed hundreds in his name. Although Randolph was like them he was less fanatical and more practical. More so I need this done as fast as possible.

Kashk thought for moment.
And the target?

Smirking he shook his head No. Targets. The Jettii have a temple here, we plan to strike fear into their hearts at their home. Perhaps he had said to much, but it was out there now. These were dangerous times and peril lay everywhere and his slip there could have caused the whole thing to be ruined. No he pushed that thought out of his head. It was simply the scum trying to see how much he should charge.

The mando waved his hand in a dismissive gesture before crossing his arms. What's your price then? He knew it wouldn't be cheap but he hoped that he could barter down and save a few credits.

Garrett had just stepped out of his relatively cheap and sketchy motel room before taking in the view around him. He had heard about this club from the Zeltron that worked at the desk of the motel. Since it wasn't too far from there, he decided to check it out. There were so many different types of people around him. Everyone from Dathomirians to Sullustans, and a pretty cute Wroonian woman that he thought just winked at him. He shook his head with a grin. He always did have a thing for getting himself into crazy situations and tonight looked to be the beginning of a crazy one. He walked up to the young blue lady trying to be a suave as possible. Sitting down next to her at the bar, he looked up at the bartender.
"Can I get a dragonjuice for me and a Polanis Red for the beautiful young lady beside me here?" *He slid the bartender some credits for the drinks.*
Just as she was about to say something with a slight smile spreading across her face, a guy came up and slapped her butt playfully. Garrett instantly went into overprotective mode and stood up furious."Whoa, keep your hands to yourself!" The stocky guy looked back over his shoulder as if Garrett had just ran over his pet slime. Cracking his knuckles, he looked over to four guys that looked about twice as big as him. Garrett rolled his eyes in disgust. Why did trouble always follow him? Probably the same reason that his bank accounts emptied too fast....women.
The stocky guy charged forward pulling a knife on him. Garrett brought his right arm hard sideways knocking his attacker's arm off target before slamming both hands hard on the man's ears. When he pulled away, Garrett saw blood on his palms which meant that he did end up breaking both the guy's eardrums. The man dropped the knife and rolled on the ground cupping his bleeding ears and moaning in pain. Garrett was about to bend down and help him up before he saw the huge Bothan of the group rush towards him looking more pissed than a Sith Lord at a charity banquet. He thought for a moment as the furry punk pushed through the several people standing around in a rage. He could just pull out his slug thrower and put the thug down, but then he would have to deal with the law and most likely a panic in the bar.
Garrett hated to, but he extended his hand and focused on the Force. He could feel it inside of him. The same energy that he had suppressed for so long rushing through the entirety of his body at a moment's notice. He opened his eyes and stared at the Bothan as his body levitated off the ground for a good second before the momentum from his running smacked him straight into the door of the place. The other three vandals simply stood there as the tank of their group still moaned that all he could hear was screeching and the other had just been slammed unconscious.
Garrett sat back down as the bartender poured the drinks in shock. He couldn't help but grin. "Haven't used the whole midi-chlorian card in a while. Don't worry, I'm not a Jedi and I'm not here to make trouble. I just want respect for what should be respected." He said as he turned to the Wroonian woman and handed her the Polanis Red. Her face twisted in anger and loathing right before she splashed the wine in his face. Getting up, she picked the moaning guy up and kissed him deeply before leading the thugs out as they all called Garrett every curse imaginable from here to the Tingel Arm. When they got to the door, she just rolled her eyes dramatically and abandoned the poor Bothan. Furry lil Kriffer was gonna wake up pretty confused.
Garrett shook his head in disappointment. Yet again, he had broken his own code as well as society's not for glory, fame, or riches. But for....a woman. He finished his drink and headed for the door ready to see some place that didn't want him castrated or dead, or by the look of that Wroonian, both.

Standing in the doorway was a petite figure clothed in black. Unlike traditional Jedi robes, she wore a fitted tunic and pants. Her utility belt contained a knife, her lightsaber on the right, and a second lightsaber with a hilt still showing burn marks on the left, in addition to a few usual things. She stood just an inch or two over five feet in height, and while the first glance might leave one thinking she was a young woman, the second glance would reveal a face from which the softness had been chiseled away by time and experience, leaving angular planes and magnetic green eyes. Her dark black hair was twisted up and held by a matched set of jet black and gold hairsticks. Her voluminous black outer robe shrouded her in shadows although the hood hung down her back.
A quiet aura of controlled power emanated from her Force presence, along with the dignity of an older person than she appeared to be. She stopped in the doorway, silently watching the unfolding situation within the Outlander with her arms loosely folded in front of her.
Next to her however, stood a predatory feline with a cackling purr. Long ears twitched as the vornskr crouched lower to the ground, muscular body tensed for a spring. Her long, prehensile whip-tail slashed the air behind her impatiently.
"Selaya," Jade muttered quietly in warning, knowing full well what the Force-hunting predator was feeling, as the one around whom the drama had centered, headed towards them.

"Vos Gesal Street, this is us," Nik pointed to the flashing indicator and then pressed the stop request switch. They got off and Nik pointed down the way to a large, illuminated sign reading Outlander Club hanging from the side of a large, well-lit building from which music could be heard all the way out in the street. "Just a warning, don't try deathsticks here. If that's an experience you desire, there are much safer ways to do so."
~She doesn't seem like that sort, but you never can tell with the quiet ones.~ I thought. So far she was an intriguing mystery, and something told me she wasn't truly happy. I was going to see if I could change that, for a few minutes anyway. And there were a lot of potential possibilities.
He was a Zeltron. It pleased him to make specific people happy. Fact of life. He pushed open the door and stepped inside. Nik threaded a way through the crowd already gathered there, and headed over towards the bar. "Everyone's got a favorite drink, what's yours, Terra?" He half-leaned on the counter, green eyes contemplating his Jedi companion.

Terra shook her head. Deathsticks were certainly NOT a part of the plan tonight, or any other night for the rest of her days."Er...yeah...I'll keep that in mind..."She followed him to the club, clearly marked by the sign, and if the music was loud enough to be heard out here, she was wondering just how loud it could be inside the actual club. How could people hear themselves think with all that noise?
She followed him into the club, the noise hitting her like a ton of bricks. It wasn't as if the music was drowning out even her thoughts but it was certainly coming close to doing that. She had never been somewhere so completely noisy before in her life! As they threaded their way through the crowd, she hoped they didn't object to having Jedi in their midst. If they did though, Nik probably wouldn't have brought her here.
She shook her head, having to really raise her voice to make sure he could hear her."I don't really...have one."

"Veronian berry wine then," he told the bartender, "make it two of them actually." It was a light, fruity wine, not incredibly alcoholic, but it was pleasant enough in flavor and in enough quantities still capable of providing the buzz typical of stronger drinks. He ignored the incredulous sneer the man shot in his direction. One would think he'd be used to people ordering all sorts of drinks, but generally it wasn't something most guys would be drinking.
He took the two glasses of cut crystal, bubbles still running up the inside of the pale drink, and handing one to Terra, he led her a bit out of the press of people, towards a side column of tables where it was possible to converse due to an electronic dimming of the ambient noise. Nik handed her to an open seat, "Sometimes it's easier to talk without being overheard, if you know what I mean?" as he slid in beside her and took a drink from his glass.
"I figured if you don't have one, it might be better to start you out on the lighter end of the spectrum instead of with the heavier caliber stuff like Corellian ale." He shrugged, hoping she didn't take offense. He had no doubt that she could handle heavier stuff in time, but he didn't want her to shrink back into herself afraid that he was trying to get her drunk immediately.

Terra accepted the drink from Nik and followed him once more, this time to some tables off to the side where the noise was much less brain blastingly loud. At least she could hear herself think again. She took an experimental sip of the drink he had ordered, and it was actually kind of good. She smiled and took another sip."Well it's good, so thanks."She set her glass on the table and peered at him across the table. He seemed to be much happier now that they were away from the Temple, though being with her might also have something to do with that."So...what did you want to talk about?"

"Business first, I suppose." He replied musingly, looking around to see that no one was paying attention to them. Reaching into his left boot, he withdrew a lightsaber hilt and looked at it contemplatively. "That girl in the warehouse. This is hers." He ignited it for a second, and a glowing silver-white blade appeared between the two of them. Almost immediately, he shut it down, and then handed her the hilt. "A blade like this is usually only carried by a Shadow, but not all Shadows confine themselves to this color. The question is, why was a girl like that, sent into a situation of that nature, against a noted crime-lord, alone?" He took a sip of his wine, peering at Terra over the glass, taking in the way her hair framed her face and eyes. "Or, was she alone? I'd wager good money she didn't set off that distress-beacon."

Terra took the lightsaber from Nik and took a moment to examine it. From what she had heard, it did seem a little strange that Anshara would have been given such a dangerous mission all on her own. As for who had set off the distress beacon that had called them there in the first place, it suddenly occurred to her that maybe that old man might have set it off. No one else had seen him. and Terra hadn't even seen him until he had chosen to reveal himself, so it wasn't implausible to assume that he must have set it.
She handed the hilt back to Nik."Well...I think I know who did. Just before we left, I saw someone. An old man appeared to me, like he had been cloaking himself until he revealed himself to me."Honestly, she still wasn't sure what to make of that, and it was still bothering her."I think he might have set it off, but he was cloaked so no one would have seen him."

An old man? Nik took the lightsaber hilt and replaced it in his boot to return to Anshara later. He thought on this as he took another drink from his glass. The Shadows often had ways and methods that fell outside the accepted policy of the Jedi Order itself. As denoted by their name, they operated in shadows. He looked back up at Terra, concerned, and reaching across the table he fleetingly touched the back of her hand. "I can feel your worry from here, Terra Kiros, and I'm not even trying to read you. If you can talk about it, what happened back there? Do you know who he was?"
Something was definitely off, something more to do with Terra herself as opposed to the girl they had rescued. Seemingly she accepted him as a Jedi, even though he didn't physically dress the part, or match up to the typical Jedi paradigm. But, this was a good thing in this case. Or, he hoped it was. "This might be out of line, but what did he say---"
Nik paused. If she got angry and decided to...well, he wouldn't leave her out here alone in unfamiliar territory, even if she decided that was preferable. "--what did he say, about you?" Then, knowing that he would have to explain his reasons for asking, "I know that's out of line on such a short acquaintance, but you don't seem like the kind of person that would be upset for nothing."

Terra shook her head, having honestly no clue who he was and why he had even chosen to approach her in the first place. If it had to do with her past, then maybe that was why, but she didn't remember him. Of course, there was still that big blank in her memories anyway. In any case, it wasn't something she liked discussing, especially with strangers. As for what he had told her, well it wasn't much. About herself or about anything else. Just some advice and a name that she didn't know or remember anything about.
She sighed and shook her head."He...he didn't really say much."She took another sip of wine."I don't really want to talk about it right now."Probably a rude way to end this particular conversation but it just wasn't something that Terra talked about with anyone, especially someone she just met.

"And that is totally fine," Nik replied, endeavoring to put her at her ease. "So, enough of serious things. What'll it take for you to have fun? Do you like to dance?" He smiled at her warmly before making a suggestion, "How about this, I'll bring you two more of these," pointing to her glass, "give you four minutes to drink them both, that way you can come dance with me without feeling self-conscious. And in turn, I give you my word that I'll see to it no one attempts to take liberties with you. Deal?"
He found it strange that for some reason, he wanted to get to know this specific young woman, a padawan even, who seemed to have much more going on than just what met the eye, though to be sure, there was no lack of agreeableness on that count. She was almost an antithesis to Zeltron women, and she seemed to be unusual even on the human scale. Not that he really understood that either, but he tried.

Terra was relieved when Nik did not pursue the matter further, as it would have probably just dragged the mood down. They had come here to have fun, supposedly. And with that, Nik was already asking her what she liked to do for fun. Her normal "fun" activities probably wouldn't seem like much to him, as they mostly consisted of reading and taking walks. Probably not the most exciting stuff in the galaxy to anyone else but to her, those were simple pleasures that had once been denied to her. Although she did remember on a trip to Umgul with Serrin that she had done a little dancing there. So if she had to answer, it would probably be that.
She smiled at his proposal and finished the rest of her drink."Deal."

"Good. I'll be right back then," Nik answered as he got to his feet. The noise closed in around him again as he made his way over to the bar, ignoring various suggestive glances from two of the female patrons and one of the males he passed, deftly deflecting an errant hand with his empty glass before sliding into a momentarily open spot at the counter and ordering two more Veronian berry wines.
At a venue like this the Zeltron tended not to look around for trouble. In a club like this on Coruscant there was undoubtedly a darker underbelly below the surface pleasure, but if he did not have a pressing reason to do so, he didn't go looking for trouble. If Terra hadn't agreed to come out with him, he probably wouldn't have made an appearance in the Outlander after the earlier events of the evening. He'd just finished a lucrative sabaac game in a much seedier joint in the underworld when he'd felt the disturbance that had led him to Anshara.
Nik shook himself out of his reverie as two filled glasses were placed in front of him. "Thanks," he recognized the server. He'd found that a few seconds of politeness could reap unexpected benefits later on, and sometimes make the difference between a good night, and a really, really bad one. As the local band swung into their own rousing rendition of 'Mad About Me' that one could have heard in pretty much any cantina or tapcafe across the galaxy, he very nearly danced his way through the crowd back towards Terra.
He took advantage of the cover provided by the patrons of the Outlander to take in Terra's appearance without causing her discomfort. Nik placed the two glasses in front of her, sat down, and glanced at his wrist chrono. "Ready?"
