Darth Malvus glances over at the military time, situated upon one of the consoles aboard his flagship. He nods to his communication officer who opens a channel to the gathered fleet of Sith ships. They had waited long enough, it was now or never. He gestures another officer, who sends orders to the engine crews. The Overlord's engines flared to life and began to move forward.
Lord Sobrius, Lord Heritor, Lord Ifrit... let us begin.
The Bulwark Mk III began to lumber forward, moving toward the Vandelhelm Cloud. Once within range, Malvus barks an order.
Carve a path for us, gunnery officer! All turbolasers, open fire!
With the shields raised to protect the front and flanks of the vessel, the turbolasers came to life and opened up salvos of plasma and lasers upon the thicket of asteroids, blasting them to bits. Chunks ranging from the size of fists to the immense pieces, the size of starfighters, bounced off the shields or disintegrated upon impact, when the floating rock hit the thick armor of the warship. These asteroids were quite easy, yet there was something waiting for them on the other side.
As the blasting of the asteroids continued and the thicket lessened, alarms went off as sensors began to pick up movement on the other side.
My Lord! We are detecting at least three Lancer-class Frigates and several Tartan-class Patrol Cruisers. They haven't seemed to notice us yet, but they are close by. A patrol it looks like, possibly scanning the asteroids. Course of action?
Continue blasting through the asteroids! We will hit them the moment we break through!
He opens a channel to his fellow Sith.
My lords, we have company on the other side. Sensors are detecting three Lancers and several Tartans. Prepare for combat!

Ifrit gave a nod of understanding as Malvus gave the order to begin the assault. In terms of overall fire power, He had brought the second least amount. Darth Heritor beating him with only a Meditation Sphere. But neither was a Gozanti something to sneer at Tasradan, you heard him. Move us in closer... Ikaros and Nymph. Lock targets and begin firing... An affirmative call was heard from across the bridge. The Ravencrest moved closer to the cloud, before the laser cannons started firing and aiding in the asteroid clearing operations. The TIE Interceptors kept their close guard. As the call came through, Ifrit nodded Tasradan, let the Interceptors know we've got company...
As you command... As soon as a whole large enough was made for the Ravencrest to push through, it wasted no time doing so. One of the Tartan-class Patrol Cruisers just happened to be unlucky enough to be nearby when they pushed through the field and descended upon it, the TIE Interceptors strafing the Patrol Cruiser as the Gozanti fired several rounds of lasers and torpedos at it

*Sobrius deferred acknowledgement of the other incoming vessels to the bridge crew, preferring instead to meditate on Bogan and prepare himself for the coming slaughter. It had been some time since he had experienced battle, even on a relatively small scale as this, and yet strangely, despite his past failures, he was quite looking forward to this. He credited it to his newfound clarity, patience, and wisdom, all traits afforded him by his sobriety. This battle, he came to with a new mission.
Despite the influence of the one named Heritor, Sobrius was not one to allow emotion to guide him. He was rather a calm Sith, whose passion existed, yes, but it was internalized. Although truthfully, would that change once he set fool on the battlefield once again? Would he again undergo some hidden metamorphosis?
Malvus at last gave the signal to begin. The Kissai's ship opened fire, blasting a path through the crowd with relative ease.* "Shields up and follow," *Sobrius instructed the crew, who carried out the order immediately. They passed through the crowd unscathed, though there was the occasional rumble and faint tremor associated with an asteroid's collision. But the Overlord was thorough and efficient, and their path through was made otherwise clear for them.
Then came the alert that enemy ships awaited them, another obstacle before they made their way to the planet. Sobrius was impressed they managed to get these ships into the planet's orbit, but that achievement would be moot upon this day.* "Prepare for battle," *the Sith again instructed. The Harrower eventually broke free of the Cloud, and, once within range, its turbolaser batteries opened fire on the enemy ships, concentrating on the nearest vessel.
The purge of Vandelhelm had begun.*

**Heritor sat motionless in his meditation sphere as he felt the other Sith respond to the attack order and engage the enemy. He ceased his urging of the other Sith, and brought his will to bear on his own contribution to the battle.
He had felt the muted disapproval from some of the other Sith for the lack of space vessels Darth Heritor himself had brought to Vandelhelm. Heritor was not bothered. Only those ignorant of the true power of the Dark Side of the Force would hold such a vessel as his in contempt. With this meditation sphere, he could not only reach further, but his power was amplified and magnified by the magnificently crafted vessel, made using the knowledge of the ancient Sith. Now he would show them the full power of the Dark Side.
A Jedi Master had once said that "size matters not". Heritor disagreed. When it came to the Force, size mattered very little, so little to a 900 year old Jedi Grand Master that it probably seemed like "not". To Heritor, it was a difficulty, but not insurmountable. Soon, he would show the Jedi of Vandelhelm that size mattered a great deal. He would show them destruction. For now, though, the enemy fleet was the target. Them, he would show fear.
Heritor began to weave the intricate designs of an incantation of Sith Sorcery. A powerful magic indeed, and deadly dangerous to the uninitiated. Outside his sphere, space seemed to shimmer, then darken, and a blob-like cloud of writhing darkness began to coalesce. Soon it expanded, and began to take shape. Fully fifty meters in length, and with a diameter that could swallow a starfighter whole, an inky black snake-like beast, woven wholly out of the physical manifestation of the Dark Side itself, with a head and mouth at one end but no eyes, the beast resembled one of the fabled Exogorths in size and appearance. Once it was formed, it shot forward, undulating through space, towards the enemy fleet.
Heritor could already feel the fear of some of the enemy ship's gunners as they caught sight of the approaching horror. With a gaping maw and rows of jagged black teeth, their nightmare approached inexorably, unaffected by any stray or even aimed fire. Heritor felt the resolve of some of the enemy ship's crew as his creation closed in on the vessel. They thought it was only an illusion meant to frighten them. They were about to be proven so very wrong.
Some distance away in his Meditation Sphere, Darth Heritor reveled in the brave crewmembers' resolve turning to complete panic, blind and unreasoning terror as the phantom nightmare collided with the hull, in an earsplitting boom that reverberated through the ship, and then began to chew its way through the bulkhead...
Air hissed out from the stricken Vandelhelm ship in clouds that froze quickly, as the Sith Sorceror's creation began to methodically tear the ship and its crew apart.**

* A black Resurgence class star destroyer comes out of hyperspace just outside of the asteroid field located in high orbit above Vandelhelm. Thrakk stands on the bridge of his ship looking out through the main view port as the battle had just begun. Watching the movement of the other Sith ships, he casually calls for his bridge Commander who walks up to his side. *
" Keep the Shadow in a High Orbit of the planet to cover the invasion forces, deploy all fighters to assist with breaking through the Jedi Defenses. Also use all port side turbo laser batteries to target an asteroids that may enter and in turn block off the path the other Sith forces are making "
* The bridge commander nods and gives out his orders to the crews, two squadrons of TIE-FO fighters spill out from the bottom of the star destroyer and head into the fray to the assist the other ships in breaking the orbital defenses. Thrakk takes the turbo lift from the bridge to the hanger where he boards his ship the Errant Fyre accompanied by his personal trooper squad. Once all other drop ships are loaded and ready for take off, the Errant Fyre leaves the star destroyer followed by the troop ships.*
**Comm Transmission**
" This is Darth Militis, I have sent my fighters forward to assist you all in breaking through the orbital defenses. My Star Destroyer will act as a rear-guard and provide cover from the asteroid fields blocking an exit path. Myself and my troops are currently making our way towards the front, once there is an opening will make for the planet an commence a blitz style assault "

The Bulwark Mk III vessel of Darth Malvus targets a pair of the Lancer-class Frigates. Its port and starboard turbolasers come online and begin to splash the shields of these two vessels with a hailstorm of turbolasers and missiles. The frigate upon the port side was the first to buckle as its engines died and power went offline. The hull was torn to bits by the firepower of the Overlord. Yet the one of the right had a better commander, from the looks of it, who was able to take out some of the turbolaser batteries upon the Bulwark before disappearing in a giant conflagration.
As Darth Malvus surveyed the battlefield above, watching as the smaller ships were torn apart by the Sith warships, he decides to prepare the landing party. The Sith Lord motions for his apprentice to follow to the main hangars below. The Bulwark-class Battlecruiser had a complement of four troop regiments and ten starfighter squadrons. Going off the Imperial standard, that was ten thousand soldiers, four thousand support personnel, and one hundred and twenty starfighters. These starfighters were a mixed composition of agile Fury-class Starfighters, the bulky Cutlass-9s and heavy Preybird-classes. All of which were produced by the Sorosuub Corporation, a planet under the influence of Malvus.
Having armed himself in Sith metalwork armor, he makes way to the main hangar, where black armored Sith troopers and Sith warriors waited for deployment. The greenlight went off, indicating that the regiments needed to gather within their assigned gunships and dropships. It did not take long for the Bulwark to come within orbital range to release a swarm of starfighters, gunships and troop carriers as they sped for surface, and the Jedi Temple, below.

Luxeria watched silently as the battle had begun, first starting with blasting their way through the asteroids to the short fight with the patrolling ships. No doubt they were caught unprepared for this assault. Even had they detected the invasion force before reaching them, there was little they could do to stand against them. Just as easily as these two ships fell, so would the rest of the Jedi and their defenses on the surface.
Only when Malvus motioned for her to follow did she finally move, turning swiftly and gracefully to fall in step with her master. While Malvus was set with his armor, Luxeria remained in simpler attire: Leather pants, boots and a black leather zip up vest. She had looked into armor before, but decided against using it. Despite the protection it provided, it interfered with her movements. It came down in that moment of which she preferred, combat focused on offense or turn more to defense. Opting for offense, it suited her better, especially with her more agile and flexible fighting style. She was confident enough in her abilities to stay defended as she loaded up with her master, ready to engage in the batle below.

*Unsurprisingly, the battle—if it could be honored with such a title—proceeded in their favor quite handily, rendering little if any damage to the invading Sith forces, making the path to the surface all but clear. Satisfied that the time had come, Sobrius turned towards the bridge crew.* "Tell the landing party to prepare themselves. Subortus, with me."
"Yes, my Lord," *the Rattataki replied.
The two of them strode from the bridge of the ship towards the hangar, where Sobrius's handpicked Sith and Shadow Troopers awaited him. They were orderly, perfect, aligned properly within the landing craft, the only vacant space that which was meant for the Sith Lord and his apprentice. Space they quickly occupied, and, at Sobrius's command, the shuttle sealed itself and exited the hangar.
They were virtually unmolested as they descended from the sky towards the planet below. The enemy fleet could not repel them. Not even the Cloud could halt their approach. They would show the Jedi of the planet that not even they could stop them either.*

As the defending forces succumbed to the superior firepower of Malvus and Sobrius' capital ships, Tasradan took the Ravencrest down towards the surface, with the flight of TIE Interceptors following it down, providing the cover fire the Gozanti required. Unlike the others, Ifrit's ship lacked the size to carry landing craft. But that was not a problem, as the Ravencrest had enough firepower to defend itself on its descent to the surface

**Bathing in the energies of the Dark Side following the annihilation of Vandelhelm's pitiful defence fleet, Heritor moved, along with the other Sith, towards the planet itself. With the Dark Side of the Force flowing through him, Darth Heritor reached out into space, finding what he sought among the scattered rocks of the asteroid field.
His meditation sphere shot towards Vandelhelm, bringing a dozen rocks along for the ride, held in Heritor's Force grip. As his sphere entered Vandelhelm's atmosphere, Heritor felt for the concentrations of beings on the surface that felt safe and secure, even in the face of a Sith invasion; those would be the bunkers, and the shielded installations. Concentrating on each of these until he'd found twelve such locations, one by one, Heritor hurled a skyscraper sized asteroid down at phenomenal speed, one at each site.
Massive explosive clouds bloomed up from each location, and waves of blast and heated destruction emanated out from the annihilated strongpoints as the Dark Lord Heritor made his descent, to personally rid the galaxy of Vandelhelm's Jedi.**

Vandelhelm - Expansion Region.
Having concluded his business within the Core, claiming another world for the growing First Order, the Scimitar Star Courier, Shadow of the Night exited hyperspace above the world of Vandelhelm. Sitting at the controls, Sith Lord and High Admiral to the First Order, Viox Savage, deftly piloted the craft through the asteroids, avoiding the main engagement. On board the ship with him was his personal company of Shadowtroopers, Zhaboka Company. The Dark Jedi/Stormtrooper hybrid soldiers had served Lord Savage faithfully since the days of the Tyrian Triumvirate on Rhommamool. Once numbering into the hundreds, only thirty remained. But that was more than enough to complete the task at hand. As the craft made its way to the surface, Savage hailed the First Order forces.
This is High Admiral Savage to all Sith and First Order forces. Proceed on your appointed assignments. I will be heading to the surface. Let's give the Jedi something to fear and show them the true might of the Sith!
As the call went out, the craft continued towards the planet's surface...

Aboard The Eternal Night, Vandelhelm's Orbit.
Valafar stood on the bridge of his new ship, The Eternal Night a Xyston-Class Star Destroyer. On the bridge with him was Commodore Zeus, Commander Pierce and his Sith Knights, known as Knights of the Blood Oath. There were other Sith Knights that weren't apart of the Knights of the Blood Oath as well as the apprentice to the Emperor of the Blackguard Imperium. Valafar was tasked with leading the Invasion of this world and he would not disappoint, for he was different then he was before Falleen. Valafar saw the pitiful resistance that the denizens of Vandelhelm offered. He turned around and faced his guests and signaled for Commodore Zeus to activate a holo projection of Vandelhelm and their targets. Valafar looked at everyone aboard the bridge before giving them their assignments.
:: Knight Commander Klassen, you will be leading the Knights of the Blood Oath accompanied by Commander Pierce and Raptor squad. Your Mission is to take the Capital Building. Lady Nightshade, you will lead the majority of the ground forces and eliminate any remaining Jedi Remnant and secure their Temple. Knight Commander, once you and the Knights of the Blood Oath have taken the Capital building, Pierce and Raptor squad will secure it while you head to the Temple and offer any assistance to Lady Nightshade. If you need any air support, Sinister squadron will provide it. Any questions? ::
Valafar took another look around the bridge at his guest and waited to answer any questions should they arise.

Eternal Night - Vandelhelm's Orbit. Geralt Klassen, assembled on the bridge with five other Sith Knights, listened to Lord Verenhimo's orders. Take his team, along with the the Knights of the Blood Oath and Raptor squad and claim the capital building. Once secured, the Sith Knights and the Knights of the Blood Oath would move to the former Jedi sanctuary on this world and pillage it, under the supervision of the Emperor's apprentice. Both daunting tasks, but if they had been easy tasks, they wouldn't have needed the Sith Knights. Adorned in a sleek, shiny black armor, minus the helmet which was currently under his left arm, the sandy blonde haired male shook is head. "Secure the capital building, then move to the Jedi Temple. Objectives received and understood, mi'lord."The young man bowed his head respectfully, as the Sith Knights behind him dropped to one knee in unison, with their heads also bowed, waiting to be dismissed.

~~Eternal Night - Vandelhelm Orbit~~
Vasari stood on the bridge, but separate from the other assembled soldiers. Her attention was on the main view screen that gave her a view of the planet - but more importantly to her, a view of the Vandlehelm cloud that played havoc with the sensors of this entire sector. A bit too poetic a name for her - the cloud was an asteroid field too large for any but the smallest, or in their case the largest ships to navigate safely. She wasn't entirely convinced a ship of this size could break through the cloud to the planet below, and she wasn't necessarily excited to be on board if they were going to try it. She stood perfectly still - arms crossed over her chest cloaked entirely in her midnight black robe - that was until the briefing began, and only when her name was mentioned did she turn her attention from the viewer towards the holo projector that Verenhimo was using to display their main objectives.
Her eyes passed over the projection of the planet, taking into account every scrap of information presented to her locking it away within the complex maze of her combined conscious and subconscious thoughts. Her target was clear - the Jedi Temple and any remaining forces that had survived the first incursion the Blackguard had made onto the planet. Albeit years earlier. Any survivors would be anticipating the same tactics and Vasari had already overlooked the records from that battle as well. She wondered why Viox had sent her - instead of coming here himself to re-secure this planet for the Blackguard. She shifted a little but didn't say anything - her outward attention never leaving the projection of the planet. She resisted the urge to slip into the currents of the force for any wisdom or insight as to how the battle would play out - hoping to turn that to her favor, and instead kept her focus on the living force... always mindful of her present.
Her gloved thumb brushed over one of her fingers absently playing with the ring on her finger that felt cold to the touch, even through the glove she wore. Her attention was drawn when Verenhimo asked for questions. Her mission here was simple, and so she remained quiet, giving the Darth in command of this invasion only the briefest shake of her head to indicate she needed no further information. Her mind was still seething behind its mental barriers - Viox should have come himself - not sent her like an errand girl to do his bidding.

With no questions from the Sith Knights or from the Sith'ari's apprentice, Valafar looked at them and then told them that they were dismissed.
:: You have your orders, you are all dismissed. ::
Afterwards Valafar turned and walked towards s the centre of the bridge and looked upon the enemy resistance that was in orbit. It would appear that they hadn't noticed Xyston-Class Star Destroyer. Valafar waited until the Sith Knights and the Knights of Blood Oath had left the bridge as well as the apprentice of the Black Emperor, before he issued the command to launch their starfighters.

~~Eternal Night - Hanger Bay~~
Vasari stayed only long enough to give the strike leader a brief nod of agreement before she turned and walked off the bridge. As she moved swiftly towards the hanger bay a feeling of darkness quickly enveloped her aura and the balance she normally carried shifted towards the Dark Side. Once she reached the hanger bay it became noticeable to anyone that would feel the force - the others simply felt a cold feeling, like a shudder up their spine. She was angry... more angry than she had ever been in her life, only now she was allowing herself to feel it - allowing it to influence her.
She moved towards a custom meditation sphere that had taken up a relatively small section of the ships hanger. It hovered off the ground and along with the brilliant silver color it glowed a gentle blue. Vasari approached the sphere and rested a hand on the smooth surface. Her form shimmered for a brief moment and then she disappeared in a flash of blue light. The aura around the ship became more vibrant now that Vasari was aboard and the ship came to life and zoomed with a gentle wurr out of the hanger bay and into empty space setting a course into the cloud that surrounded the planet.

As the menacing figure of Verenhimo dismissed them, Klassen turned to his second.
"Assemble the team in the hangar bay and prepare to follow us down. Blood Oath! Hangar in five. We're taking this fight to the surface! Commander Pierce, assemble Raptor Squad depart ahead of us. Secure us an LZ on the surface!"
As Orien departed to collect and ready the rest of the Sith Knights, and the Blood Oath departed from the bridge, Klassen bowed his head to Verenhimo and followed the rest out to the hangar bay.

Vandelhelm, High Orbit. Expansion Region. The Tenebrae-Class Battleship, Nightfall, exited hyperspace and moved into high orbit over Vandelhelm, along previously used lanes from the days of the Blackguard. The battle-scarred vessel settled into position and two shuttles were launched, descending towards the surface, destination: Rimma City, Outpost Tykis.

Nine Sith Knight Interceptors exited hyperspace above Vandelhelm. In the lead interceptor, Knight-Commander Klassen sat, gazing out over the planet and its defenses. At first glance, with the FireStar-Class Orbital Defense Platform, the network of Imperial Defense Satellites and the Zannah-Class Star Destroyer in orbit around the planet, it almost seemed as though the Blackguard was still alive and well, thought Geralt knew this was anything but true. Seeing the Sith'ari's flagship, the Tenebrae-Class Battleship, slung in low orbit over the planet did stir confidence within him, however. The last time he had physically seen the Sith'ari, had been before the parted way at the Obelisk on Mustafar. That had been three years ago. He was eager to return to duty, in service of the Sith'ari. Signaling traffic control, the group of Interceptors headed planetside.
