*A quick flash of light broke the stillness of space, as an AIAT/i gunship dropped out of hyperspace. The ship was old, covered in battle scars and quick patch jobs, but it was still formidable. As the hyperdrive cooled down in order to make it's next jump, the large ship lazily turned towards its next coordinates.*
*Inside the cockpit, Ellie rubbed her eyes and leaned back into the pilots seat. She couldn't believe she was going back to Mandalore. After all these years she was finally going home.*

Erik had spent most of the journey cursing this blasted ship and it's inability to stay fixed. Every time he got something running right something else would go on the fritz, the hyperdrive wasn't even functional enough to allow more than short jumps before needing to cool down. With nothing else to do until the hyperdrive had cooled, or until something went wrong, he made his way up to the cockpit. Next time I agree to travel with you remind me to check the ship first. He said, laughing, clearing just joking around rather than concentrating that they were on their way back to Mandalore. It hadn't been as long for him as it had been for his companion but he hadn't been expecting to be headed back there anytime soon.

*Ellie gave a small grin when Erik enteredthe cockpit and voiced his complaints about her ship. She could both hear and feel his frustration through the force as he battled with the gunship.* "I don't know. This old ship has never given me to much trouble before. Maybe she doesn't like the way you poke and prod at her." *She finished readjusting their course when the ships short ranged sensors picked up a signal. Ellie raised an eyebrow in curiosity as she checked what it was.* "A distress signal? Looks like it's from a private vessel. I say we check it out." *She didn't wait for an answer. Instead she turned the vessel towards the signal before making the short jump to its source.*
*The Gladiator dropped out of hyperspace almost on top of the distress signals location. Before them was the remains of a J-type star skiff. Gouges and holes peppered the side ofnits hull, looks wounds on a great beast. The right wing had been completely sheered off and slowly drifted away. Sensors on board the Gladiator said that the ships engines and power were dying. This was a recent attack. Ellie's eyes slowly scanned the vessel, there was something the ships scanners weren't telling them and she could feel it.* "There's something on that ship."

Running on cruise control the Wayfarer bullets down the hyperspace lane towards a prearranged destination. A priori before this move began and said target arranged betwixt said warriors and another party

Erik continued to laugh at Ellie's comments about the ship not liking him, although that was cut short as the distress signal cropped up. He was barely able to hold on and brace himself before the ship made a short to the signal. Silencing a few curses that came to mind he took a look at the ship out the viewport and studied a few sensor readings. It seemed like the ship still had a little power but it wasn't likely to last long, double checking the seals of his armor, he's about to go to the back of the ship for his makeshift life support ystem when his companion announces that there is something on the ship. Something as in former crew, or something as in a crazed space monster that killed the whole crew? Because those would require some very different preparations on our part,

Inspecting Ellie's ship's medical bay was more depressing than what she'd seen in most ships by far. In fact, Amy's personal supplies now reinforced some of the stock here, at least temporarily. When they disembarked, she was taking everything with her. There was barely enough to fill her own kits anyhow. She didn't know why she'd decided to throw in and follow after Ellie and Erik Itera. She knew as much about Mandalorians as the next rancor, and as handy as she was with a blaster, she felt she was better off plying with her skills as a medic if she ended up seeing more T-visor helmets than she could count. Erik had taken to cussing out the ship's hyperdrives, which apparently was more faulty than the junk pile she'd first met Ellie in. Or at least more challenging.
They seemed to be making quick jumps, and she finally headed to the cockpit to see what they were dealing with, and caught the last end of Erik's sentence, “Or you can jus' be ready for both.” she offered, peeling back her duster to reveal her blasters, the barrel of the carbine hanging behind her, and her rebreather mast hanging near the middle on her belt. “What's up with th' skiff?”
The damage on that thing looked considerable. Was there even anyone left alive in there?

*Ellie never took her eyes off the skiff when Erik asked what kind of something.* "I'm not sure. So there's only one way to find out." *She brought the engines to a low burn, urging the ship slowly forward. Ellie gave Ami a quick glance as she entered the cockpit.* "Other than it being a wreck, not sure. We picked up its distress signal further back. So here we are." *She decreased the ships speed till they were directly over the skiff.*

Smiling slightly as Ami joins them and makes a quip about being prepared Erik makes his way to the back of the ship to strap on his makeshift life support system. Sealing his helmet onto his head he makes his way to the primary airlock and waiting, keying his comm for a quick message. ::Are either of you ladies going to join me or is this the part where you make sure I don't get eaten by a space monster before you decide to come?:: Erik was clearly joking. He was well aware that either woman was just as, if not more, capable to handle themselves as he was. Checking the DE-10 blaster in it's holster at his hip, he pulls the weapon, letting it hang loosely at his side as he waits, letting it's comforting grip help calm his nerves.

“Calm your Beskar, Erik, ” said Amy, appearing behind him, her protective face mask hiding her features, though her tone seemed of mild amusement and camaraderie. There was a near-translucent glow around her body, indicating she was using a life-support force field, a somewhat riskier but less bulky means of surviving the vacuum of space. “I'm coming with, give you cover.”

*Ellie managed to suppress a small laugh at Erik's comment. She wasn't sure what was over there, but it probably wasn't a monster.* "Don't worry, I'm right behind you. Just gotta make sure this ship doesn't drift away on us." *Once she was sure the Gladiator was secure, she put on her helmet and made her way back to the others.*
*Focusing her mind, she sank deep into the force to build a small defence against the depths of space. The technique wasn't as good as an actual suit, but it would suffice in this situation. Once ready, she gave a nod to the others, and hit the release on the airlock. With a loud hiss that died quickly to silence, the air flushed out of the small room. Once the cycle was completed, the hatch swung open revealing the skiff below. Ellie stood on the edge of the airlock for a brief second before pushing off hard to the skiffs open airlock. Hopefully the others were just as quick as her.*

Pulling himself through the airlock he moves through to drop into the barely functional artificial gravity of the skiff landing harder than intended, having not expected the sudden gravity. He managed not to fall face first onto the deck, but it was far from a graceful transition. I meant to do that. He said through the comms, obviously joking. With a few blinks he lit the headlamps on his helmet, scanning both sides of the seemingly empty corridor leading away from the airlock. Seems clear so far.

Without any genuine intent of showboating or looking better than Erik in his take off and awkward landing, Amy deduced the existence of gravity as she gently pushed off from their ship to the husk. Twisting her body as the artificial gravity enveloped her, she managed a significantly more graceful landing, still on her feet and bracing her knees to absorb the rest of her momentum. She smiled at Erik, even though her mask hid her expression, and she said, “Got it.” She used the light of his helmet to visually scan the place, then took out her bioscanner and turned it on, immediately getting notifications, but, “Nothin' definitive, but there's somethin' here. Might be the ship's contents creating a fuzz on my read...”

*Ellie rolled her eyes at Erik and his comment. They weren't even completely on the ship yet and they already almost had a man down. She activated the lights on her helmet and made her way deeper into the derelict vessel. There was something here, she didn't need the bioscanner to tell her that. Something dark was clawing at her from the shadows. Whatever it was, she couldn't pick it up in the force.* Let's just be careful, alright? Ami's right, there's definitely something here. I can sense it though.
*The inside of the ship was just as bad as the outside. Carbon scouring and battle damage lined the halls. There was one thing Ellie didn't see.* Where are the bodies? *There were no remains anywhere. Had whoever attacked this ship taken them with them? She came to a stop when the passage way split into two. One went up towards the cockpit and common area. The second went down towards storage.* So. Do we split up? Or do we take more time and stick together?

“Safer if we stay together,” said Amy, “I've got a bad feelin' about this.”
There was a building sense of dread in her gut, and it wasn't the dark interiors of the ship, or the mysterious circumstances surrounding whatever they could see before them. Yes, there were signs of battle, but no bodies, no definitive readings, and out here, in the middle of nowhere. Even the bravest souls would be foolish to think they could face the unknown unprepared. Amy studied the marks for a while, then glanced at Erik and Ellie.
“Either of you ever heard of th' Leviathans?”

"I agree, together is best" Erik continued to watch their backs down the opposite side of the corridor. Something was definitely wrong here. He didn't feel it through any mysterious energy field but in the way the ship vibrated. Something was very wrong. Even encased in full armor he felt exposed, and it was not a feeling he was familiar with or comfortable feeling. If you want to lead the way with your space magic I'll bring up the rear and make sure nothing jumps out behind us. He commed to Ellie, thinking it made the most sense to put the two armored people in between the doc and the most likely avenues of assault. Keeping the DE-10 raised he flicked through settings on his HUD scanning through normally invisible spectrums of light as well as thermal readings just to see if he could get a lock on something that their naked eyes had missed.

*Ellie bit back a retort when Erik used the term space magic. Figuring her time was better spent searching the ship. Cautiously, she lead them up towards the cockpit. Her lightsaber held in front of her like a makeshift glow rod. Something about this was strange, she could sense something, but nothing at all at the same time. She didn't turn to face Ami when she answered her question.* "I have heard of the leviathan. Both of them, actually. The pirate vessel that lurks in deep space, devouring any ship unlucky enough to get caught in its path. I also know of the beast it's named after. Lives in the mae and is large enough to crush a star destroyer." *She paused momentarily before finally asking.* "Why do you ask?"

“Was talkin' 'bout th' beast, the Sith monster.” said Amy flatly, the vocal synthesizer managing to infer her emotions despite the rasp, “Dunno th' full story, but I do remember readin' from some old records. These things ate people an' trapped their souls in their bodies.”
She turned to look at Erik and Ellie, “Would be nice t' have a Death Star handy if that's what we're dealin' with 'ere.”
She turned her droid lamp, which floated behind her shoulder about a foot and a half above, and shone the light on the walls not too far away, grissly marks and scratches made by a large creature was evident beneath the light's glare, as well as human blood. “Might not be as big as the star destroyer eatin' one, but if that's what we're facin' 'ere, mayyybe we might wanna head back t' th' ship...”

Oh great, ancient Sith beasts that destroy star destroyers. That's certainly what the Mandalorian Mechanic wanted to hear about while walking through the dark corridors of a powerless ship with only two companions and no one who would notice if they suddenly went missing. Gripping his blaster just a little bit harder he swung the headlamps of his helmet around behind them trying to be as attentive as humanly possible, but really just making himself jump at every little shadow, nearly discharging his blaster twice before stopping himself as his logical mind caught up to his reactions. "I know I'm supposed to be the big hulking scary armored warrior in this scenario, but if we're up against something like that I've gotta say my vote is for returning to the ship and getting very far away from here." His statement was delivered through his suit's systems in an only half joking manner, as he's unable to fully keep the growing fear out of his voice as he continues following the two women further into the ship.

*Ellie gave a low sigh that made her vocal synthesizer crackle. She came to a stop and turned around to face the other two.* I doubt there's a giant Sith made beast roaming around out here. *She ran two fingers across one of the large scratch marks.* I also doubt it traps the souls of the ones it devours. Besides, a Death Star would be to clumsy. You get one shot and it would be ridiculously hard to aim it at the beast. *Clapping her hands together, she turned back to the two.* So. All those in favor of returning to the ship, say aye. Then you may do so. I, however, am headin to the cockpit to get the flight recorder.
