My stick came up, and instead of catching him in the neck, his right forearm had moved to intercept it. I let my wrist flex back towards me, so that when the wood impacted the metal, it recoiled instead of shattering. My attack at his throat didn't connect, but it did what I had hoped. It had taken the ripper out of the game for this turn.
I knew about the tomahawk, and I knew I was moving towards it. As my opponent lifted his left hand to attack me over my arm, my right hand moved in a flash, the back of my forearm deflecting his forearm at the top of his swing before his Gorehound could bite. I planted my right foot into the sand to help stop his momentum.
Luckily, I didn't need to open my hand to defend the strike, so I didn't have to ease up on the torrent of pressure that I was putting on his head. I knew mandalorians were hard-headed, but the fact that my crush still hadn't done anything meant that either he was especially so, or I really was getting too old for this.
With my right foot planted in the ground, my left leg came up in a stomping strike at the man's gut. It wasn't fancy, but it was quick, and hopefully it could catch him off-guard.

Darian was dead before anything else happened.
Since there was so much energy forcing itself against his temples, his skull imploded first at it's most vunerable points, and from there, like a sickening, sloshing ripple effect. At this point, it'd be pretty graphic if one were to extrapolate on the level of carnage that the crushing of a human head entails, but suffice to say, it's pretty disgusting. And gory. If you're into that sort of thing.
So, his body, minus a large portion of his head, slumped over in the sand. Gorehound had fallen, blade first, next to him, forever at rest. It's rage would go unheard for a thousand lifetimes, it's insatiable hunger given no satisfaction at all.

Well, that did it.
All of a sudden, the mandalorian's head... Well... You get the idea.
I took a step back from the mandalorian, pausing for a moment to ponder what just happened. Suddenly, I sighed deeply, breathing heavily as I could feel the fatigue set in. My body was devoid of the Force now, and I felt drained. After a few moments, I set my walking stick back down into the sand to hold myself up, and looked at the mandalorian.
Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum.
With a wave of my hand, I turned to walk away from this place. I had let the darkness creep inside of me. I knew it was this place that had caused it, and I knew it was going to turn bad. With a small shiver, I kept walking away from the pyre, with nothing but the memory of a nameless mandalorian.

Okay. There were quite a few things covered via PMs with this one but I won't get into that right now.
Both writers wrote their descriptions and actions excellently, fair play. The quality of grammar and the way each post flowed was a credit to both of you and, despite some of the "flexing" on either side, you bounced off each other really well. Found Hiro's character comical and the garrulous old man image amusing, though it was a bit inconsistent at times. Stating that he's an old man with a stick then performing moves that a Jedi in their prime would be happy with kind of detracts from the old man image. Perhaps a post about having to draw heavily on the force to fuel such actions may have been prudent. As it is I find some of what you've achieved a bit suspect. The dodging of the bullets while crushing seemed a bit OP to me and was very close to GMing. That could have got you a DQ and it was borderline. That Darian rode with it speaks well of his desire to continue though the behind scenes correspondence detracted from that too. Likewise Darians casual holstering of the blaster raised a few eyebrows. That barrel should have been crushed and the way that Darian wrote it... GAH! It just SMACKED of OOC knowledge. Again, not enough to call on because it was cunnnigly written, but the way your character precogged the move (cos that's what it was) was definitely borderline illegal. You can say that he anticipated the move all you want but I'm pretty sure that no matter what Force attack Hiro used you would have written that your character expected such an attack and acted accordingly. Furthermore, there shouldn't have been enough time for you to holster the blaster. You should only have noticed the crush as it takes effect, giving you only so much time to react.
Anyway, two cases of near liberties taken and I'm happy to allow them to balance each other out.
The rest of the duel is fairly straightforward and you were both elegant and creative in your efforts. Had one of you stood out head and shoulders above the other then it may have added cause to award the duel other than the way the story ended. As it is you were both close enough that I'm happy with the in-story outcome.
Hiro wins due to Darian's death.
