AVI speaks what is on his mind
I agree. Dee will need to refrain from using Xhro until an alternate solution is found or unless we are in immediate need. I won’t prevent her from doing what she wants, but I think she will agree with us on that matter. She is her own individual, and she will ultimately do what she wants, and I will support her decision.
He switches legs he is standing on, letting the moment stand on its own.
There is a potential to extract pure Xhro from the plant. My primary mission in this was to breed a strain of rose with significantly more of the molecule than the wild breed. The one we have in there is a fourth generation attempt and is seven times more potent than its wild counterpart. I haven’t seen her try a more recent strain, but she seemed to enjoy the wild variety the first time.
Do you have the gear to process it or have a way to get ahold of the proper tools? I think that mixing it with capsaicin could help nullify some of the more extreme effects in the current dust we have, but if we could at least get her to the point of normalcy, it'll make staying in this universe a little more palatable for her. Though, it is both of our hopes to get back home somehow, someday.
As for me, I would say that I am more male-oriented, though that was more for Dee's preference. I am without gender unless the situation requires it. Force of habit makes me lean male. For the body, it suits me just fine. It’s not optimal, but there are a few systems that compare to my original home, and this frame is far superior to any droid frame I have come across or researched. Most droid frames have fairly basic computational systems which would greatly hinder my abilities.
He shrugged.
Though it's better than being locked away inside of an emulation inside a holopad. It’s how I escaped with Dee, and it works, but now I am a little freer. If we could find a proper quantum computer, then I would be closer to what I suppose would be comfortable.
AVI offered a slight chuckle, the frame shaking at the very rare laugh.
Perhaps it is a good thing I am limited. A runaway artificial intelligence could prove to be a dangerous thing, don’t you think?
AVI dedicates a portion of his processes to monitor Dee. She lay unmoved since they left her. He was satisfied that she was getting the rest she needed.

When asked about the possibility that he might possess the equipment or the means to acquire the equipment needed to process the plant, Sango shakes his head, "I'm afraid not. Gesturing around the medbay, he explains, What I have here is adequate for my needs as the ship's medic, but little else I'm afraid. As for getting our hands on what we would need, I must confess that the subject is so far out of my wheelhouse that I'm not even sure what we would need, or how costly it would be to acquire if we were to learn what it is we would need. Standing up and stretching, Sango glances at his pocket chrono, replacing it in his vest pocket and motioning for AVI to follow as he begins making his way to the galley while going on, It is a pity that Zeltros has been occupied, and whoever would have that it possible that it would be when historically such a feat has been so fraught with difficulties and challenges that few would have dared attempt it? Explaining his seemingly tangential comment, Sango says, We enjoyed, prior to its occupation, a friendship with Zeltros' Royal couple, who I feel confident would have been willing to help us with the problem Dee faces, or at least make available the resources needed to look into the matter, but, alas, we've not heard from them since Zeltros was taken."
Nimbly switching subjects as he begins preparing a meal for the crew, Sango muses, "Popular holovids and novels would certainly have us believe that an unrestrained artificial intelligence would be something to fear, though I myself wonder if that says more about organic sentient beings themselves than anything. Experience, it seems to me, would be the deciding factor rather than any inherent leanings towards one side or the other of the morality scale an artificial intelligence might possess. For example, had it not been Dee that encountered you after your long slumber, but someone with more sinister aspirations, would you have been influenced by their character and be far different than you are now? Do you feel that your limitations are all that keep you from being dangerous, AVI? Or has your experience shaped you into a being that, even unrestrained, you would find yourself further on the moral or 'good' side of the scale than the immoral or 'evil'?"

AVI, not much of the cook, took a seat and watched the Bothan throw together a meal. He pondered the possibility of locating a proper chemist who could separate the compounds necessary. On Endor, AVI relied on the specialist droids to do the work. With them long gone along with the research that was done, they would have to start from square one.
Hearing that high connections would have been cut off as well meant that finding square one was now going to be more of a process. Up until now, he and Dee had been running on a lot of luck. It seemed as though the best of the luck was run out, and now they were going to have to work for it. You know Sango, I am a being that exists due to code. There are reasoning and logic behind the qtrits that make me who I am, even if they are just emulations for the time being.
But with all of that, I find that luck plays an unforeseen role in the everyday. He began tapping on his leg Logic states that me tapping on my leg here will do nothing but make noise. However, I have to consider the infinitesimally small chance that this digit will tunnel through my leg and come out on the other side. We can balk at the possibility and make light of it, but this random chance is what keeps the stars burning, and makes black holes shrink.
It may not be luck, but even my programming has its limitations for this calculation. There are some things that are easier explained with a shrug. He stopped tapping his leg and leaned back in the chair, crossing his arms. I was a blank slate when Dee found me. I believe that it was her impression on me that has helped formulate me into what I am now and lean away from what many consider to be evil. Nurture over nature, as the old philosophy would have put it. So, your right, I could have been found by someone with more malicious intentions. But was it luck?
To be honest, I could be infinitely dangerous in more ways than most could imagine. There aren't many systems designed to withstand a digital intelligence. Heck, some can be hacked by a dumb droid. But, like a domesticated animal, I have no reason to do so unless it is to protect my - He paused and looked at the ceiling. Well, I guess to protect my family. Its why I want to find something to help Dee.

Haven-Class Medical Station - Heilari.Making his way through the station, Erpon had noticed that someone, within the last few years, had installed automated defenses. Currently, they were inoperable. Thankfully. Erpon had no desire in being shot up because someone thought it was a good idea to place defenses in a place like this. Slowly walking along, scanning the area, the Barabel pushed forward. The stale air and dust everywhere made breathing difficult, but aside from that, the place was as quiet as a tomb. Erpon shivered at that last thought. This place was a tomb, alright, but whose? His, or this Sith that they were set on capturing? Not wanting to entertain that line of thought any longer, Erpon pushed forward, heading for the control center. Haven-Class Medical Station - HeilariThe Cin Tracinya, which translates to White Flame, a Ye-4 Gunship exited hyperspace and made its way to the Medical Station. He hoped that his partners hadn't been waiting too long. He was itching to get this job over and done with, perhaps that was just his nerves talking as they were going after The Butcher of Jabiim. He calmed himself as he landed in a hanger. Henoc exited his ship and proceeded to head towards the control center of the station, as it was the most logical choice to meet up.

The Scorekeeper's Grace exited from hyperspace at the coordinates that the Barabel had sent, which was a Haven-Class medical Station.
Gilder piloted the ship into the hanger, where Tarnac, Gilder and Reggie exited the ship.
"We better find Sssariss, and learn about thisss hunt."
With that said Tarnac and his companions headed off in the general direction of the control center, following the scent of a Erpon and that of others. It would be to long before they arrived and meet the other who were going to partake in the hunt.

You know Sango, I am a being that exists due to code. There are reasoning and logic behind the qtrits that make me who I am, even if they are just emulations for the time being . . . Well, I guess to protect my family. Its why I want to find something to help Dee. Frying up the endwa and stirring the orange gravy that it will be served with all the while, Sango listens to AVI wax philosophical about a variety of topics ranging from luck and random chance to what ultimately motivates him, fascinated to find that a sentient artificial intelligence can sound so very much like an organic sentient being despite the lack of unconscious and biochemical influence.
As he is putting the finishing touches on the meal he has prepared prior to bringing it to the table and calling the rest of the crew, Sango tells AVI, "I agree that luck, or chance, plays a role in events. As much as most would like to believe that they are the ultimate harbingers of their fates, boldly forging their own paths and creating their own destinies, luck or chance will always have a hand in whether or not all the forging and creating will succeed in the end, won't it? Of course, he scratches a furry cheek as his thoughts start running around in circles, it can't really be denied that some decisions can create luck, or at tip things in its favor, but all that . . . chuckling and waving his hands as though shooing the topic aside for the moment, Sango says, I think you do yourself a disservice in likening yourself to a domesticated animal, AVI. Which is comforting, really. Even a loyal domesticated beast can turn on those it lived and perhaps fought alongside or for if the circumstances are right, no? The magician's tiger mauling him or her unexpectedly after years of peaceful co-existence. But, Sango rings a small dinner bell hanging near the galley's stove to call the rest of the crew, that is neither here nor there, given Dee is not a magician and you are not a tiger. As for helping her, I'll help you help her in any way I can."
"Help him help her with what?" Nkosana, rubbing his stomach as he ambles into the galley, asks.
"Help Dee," Sango explains without explaining everything in light of his promise to Dee, while handing a plate to Nkosana.
"Cool, Nkosana says as he sits and starts eating with gusto, Count me in too. I'll, like, help you help him help Dee."

Drez definitely liked what he was hearing, about the food variety. Vegetables, fruit, and meat was a thousand times more enjoyable and tolerable than eating the same bland, tasteless ration bars, or whatever the heck it was, every single day. Of course, price didn't matter to him. He wasn't paying out of his own pocket anyways, that is if he even owned some of his own credits anyways. "How many people can this ship feed, and for how long can it provide food on a daily basis?" Drez asked. He needed to feed millions of troopers at least 2 meals every single day, unless of course the food that was provided would keep the troopers full for a while. House of D'Ordinii

The man scratched his expansive chin while making a humming noise.
-Barlie As long was we get a good supply of raw materials? 50 million, indefinitely. Our systems can handle most types of biological waste with little enough effort, so unless you have another deal that would make that impossible, we can get a nice cycle going. If we have to get our own resources for each crop, that number drops to around 10 million or so. Maybe less depending on the system in question. Other than that, the more fruit you include, the number drops a bit. After all, the fruit takes long & takes up more space. Meat isn't an issue, it is a power hog, but the equipment wouldn't be used anyway, so there isn't a loss.

"Help him help her with what?" Nkosana, rubbing his stomach as he ambles into the galley, asks."Help Dee," Sango explains without explaining everything in light of his promise to Dee, while handing a plate to Nkosana."Cool, Nkosana says as he sits and starts eating with gusto, Count me in too. I'll, like, help you help him help Dee." AVI stood up as the food started being served. Carefully, he grabs a plate and puts some food on it. Thanks, I appreciate it, and I know Dee does as well. Forgive us when we take you up on your offer.
He increased the pitch in his voice, indicating humor. I'm going to go check on her and see if she wants any warm food.
==== ***Dee was sitting under a gazebo, cup of tea in her hand. Light from the sun was pouring through the wooden slats that loosely made up the roof. The songs of stringed instruments mournfully filled the air alongside the aroma of roses and lavender. A faceless Twi'lek waiter poured her more tea before bowing and walking away. His feature set was oddly handsome for being a male, and for not having a face. She was unaffected as she stared off into the featureless landscape on the horizon. It is wonderful weather. Perhaps we should take the boat out and paddle around for a little, don’t you think?
Aponia sat across from her. She appeared from nowhere, taking a sip from her half-full cup of tea that she had been nursing. She nodded but said nothing, instead getting up and kissing Dee on the forehead before walking off. The sun was warm on her skin. She preferred space, being in the expansive void, but she would rather spend her time near her love. They paddled around the lake, cruising the shoreline and admiring the Alderaanean beauty. Dee reached forward to brush the hair aside from Aponia's neck when her lover suddenly turned with the face of a robot holding a plate of food ***Dee sleepily sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes. AVI, you jerk I was having a good dream. You would have woken up from it eventually. Maybe.
He held out the plate of food to her. Here, Doc made it. You should eat while it’s still warm. Dee coughed, her throat was still sore from earlier. Taking a drink first, she grabbed the plate and started to nibble. AVI took a seat next to her on the bed and watched her eat. Doc says he wants to help us figure out how to get you back to your normal self. He brought up the possibility of the different universes and how they could affect your Xhro.
She nodded in agreement with a mouthful of food. Yeah, I could see that. You think that rose will be any better?
AVI looked away from her toward the door. Possibly, if we can get the psychedelics minimized. It seemed to be ok for you on Endor.
Dee chuckled mid swallow, which tossed her into a coughing fit, which made her laugh and cough harder. Dude, I still think I feel those little dudes hiding around me!
Her fit subsided, and she finished her plate in silence as AVI just sat there beside her. For several minutes, they sat on the bed, AVI staring at the open door, and Dee at her finished plate. With a cough, she set the plate on the bedside table, wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and held it tightly. Picking up the plate she headed back for the mess with AVI close behind her.

50 million? Drez thought. He was astonished by the amount of troopers that could be fed using this one ship. Even 10 million was more than enough. Though by judging what Barlie said, the better the quality of the food was, the less people could be fed, or something along those lines. He didn't think he'd find a food production ship this easily, considering he'd also been dormant for over 50 years, the galaxy must've changed quite a bit.
Drez turned to Barlie, and nodded in agreement. "Are you willing to negotiate a deal or is it a fixed price?" He asked. "This ship seems to be the perfect solution, so I'm willing to strike a deal with you."
Kamino wasn't too far away either, so if the deal happened to fail, he wasn't in for a long trip home. However, he didn't want to return empty handed. He was determined to pen a good deal and sign a contract with the captain of the ship for them to be the long-term food production facility for the KAC.House of D'Ordinii

The large man continued to rub at his chin, eventually finding a stray hair that was a good bit longer than the surrounding stubble. After a few moments of playing with it, he plucked in.
-Barlie Well, usually it is a fixed price per volume. I suppose if this will be a long term order, we might be able to cut a cheaper deal.

With a cough, she set the plate on the bedside table, wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and held it tightly. Picking up the plate she headed back for the mess with AVI close behind her. When AVI and Dee reach the galley, Fumnanya waves with a cheerful grin, "Awake at last. How are you feeling?"
Sango, standing to walk over and grab Dee's plate with one hand while pulling a chair out for her with another, asks, "Would you like more to eat, my dear? Some tea perhaps?"
Once everyone is settled again, Fumnanya says, "Alright, so, our first stop will be Tatooine. We'll drop off Geb's shipment, then make for Nal Hutta with Shabby's. Those are both routine drops, he explains for Dee and AVI's benefit, so the chances of running into complications are minimal. Coruscant, he pushes his plate away and picks up his glass of whiskey, is a different story though. We've never made deliveries to Coruscant for Mazzie, so it's . . ."
"Virgin territory?" Vejide proposes.
Snickering, Nkosana says, "So we need to, like, take things slow and gentle?"
Ignoring Vejide and Nkosana, Fumnanya takes a sip of his drink and goes on when it is clear they are done making jokes, "The biggest risk will be getting caught with all of what will be left of the spice in the upper levels, so we'll head straight for the underworld and then split up from there to minimize that risk. Dee, he looks at each member of the crew as he addresses them, and Sango will stay with the ship. Nkosana, you and AVI will make the delivery to the underworld drop. Dikeledi and Vejide will handle the CoCo town delivery. I'll handle the Uscru District alone, since it's the biggest risk. Sound good to everyone?"

Dee held out her plate and nodded with a sheepish smile. She whispered Yes, please. And I’m feeling alright. She wrapped herself tighter in the blanket as she sat, but it fell off her shoulders as she reached for the plate and continued eating. Listening to Fumnanya, she nodded as she followed along to the list of instructions. Coruscant sounded like it would get hectic and exciting. Her feet tamped the floor a few times. She looked up at AVI, who had positioned himself behind her. Think you can run over to our storage locker on Tatooine and get the rest of our gear? Or if Fumnanya needs you, I can go do it. She looked around the table, and then over to Fumnanya. Other than that, yeah, I think it sounds good.
AVI looked over at Niko and nodded. How armed should we go into any of these scenarios? Heavily armed, or casually? I have the heavy taken care of. If we can get to our locker on Tatooine… I guess the question is, where are we landing at or near?
Dee looked around wide-eyed and attentive as she slowly ate her second serving. A sudden worry came to her mind: she hoped she wasn’t eating Dikeledi's portion. Just another thing to apologize to the woman about. Dee hoped she didn’t keep a list.

Fumnanya shakes his head when the subject of whether or not they might need AVI while on Tatooine comes up, "Gebhuza is a regular client, and Dikeledi and I will handle the delivery like always. His, or maybe her this time, club is near the Pika Oasis, so we'll set down in Mos Taike. If you need the ship to get to your locker, Dikeledi and I can hang out in the club until you get back."
Pouting, Nkosana says, "Like, I wanna hang out in the club too."
"Ogle the dancers more like," Vejide chuckles.
"More like admire their exemplary dancing skills," Nkosana defends himself in a mock offended tone.
Fumnanya, answering the question addressed to Nkosana when it becomes clear that the Nish has become distracted by his bantering with Vejide, tells AVI, "Go heavy. The underworld is like the jungle, so the more you look like a predator the less likely you are to . . ."
"Become the prey?" Vejide proposes in an ominous tone.
"Be preyed upon?" Nkosana suggests.
"Exactly, Fumnanya says, and then stands, making a plate for Dikeledi, who chose to stay in the cockpit, with what is left of the meal and explaining to everyone, We have about two hours left to Tatooine, then points to Nkosana and says, You can come along to the club if you remember you're on the clock. No mind altering subs. . ."
"Got it, captain," Nkosana says, bobbing his head and giving a salute.

AVI looked up and away from the group as he pulled up a map in his mind's eye. He spoke as he calculated Yes, we will need to run to Bestine, though, maybe we can just drop you off outside Pika Oasis, and we can make the quick run down. I don’t see the entire round trip taking more than 20 minutes. Finishing his calculations, he looks over at Niko Unless you need me to take my time getting our three crates loaded up to express your admiration. Dee was finishing the last few bits on her plate. She started with a mouthful of food We get into our stuff - She swallowed and continued AVI would be a real force to be reckoned with. She leaned back and pulled her blanket around her. Under the blanket, she unwrapped a lozenge and popped it in, then snuggled back into her blanket. But I like the part where I guard the ship. I am not good with looking all that fierce. And even when I manage it, I’m not the best with blasters. Any hit I have ever managed to land was thanks to AVI pulling the trigger for me at the right moment. She looked up at AVI This guy though? She looked back down at the table and bobbed her head. He knows what’s up.

"Well, we'll probably need you for a long time." Drez paused for a second. "And I mean a 'very' long time." He then turned around and faced at the food production chambers. It was interesting how food produced on fertile land could be produced in chambers. "I can't give you a fixed time but I'm sure you'll make a fortune off of us." He then turned back around to Barlie. "So what do you say? Are we going to sign a formal deal?" House of D'Ordinii

-Barlie Well, nothing that fancy. Just get us the down payment & a set of coordinates. Of course, we expect payment on delivery for each shipment.
It was common enough practice this far from any wide ranging government. At worst, the ship would just lose some time on the wasted food. Without a overarching government to enforce it, a formal contract would be essential worthless.

"Well, how about a down payment of, let's say, 3 novacrystal crates?" Drez asked while rubbing his chin. He wasn't even sure how much the currency worth, and if it was adjusted for inflation from his Clone Wars years. "We can make a deal about the shipments when we arrive at the coordinates. I'll arrange a meeting between you and the leader, ruler, whatever, I don't know what we call him anymore." Drez pulled out a datapad from his small pouch and input the data of the planet of Kamino. It was a largely mysterious planet for most of its history, but he was sure he'd find the information he needed. After making sure it was the correct data, with the coordinates and all, he gave the datapad to Barlie. "Kamino." House of D'Ordinii

Barlie frowned for a moment.
-Barlie It has been a long while since I've heard that name. Are the old snake heads as strict as they used to be?
He wasn't based off the Jango sequence, but Barlie was technically also a clone. He had even spent the first part of his life on that watery world, meany, many years ago.

Nkosana scratches his left elbow with a grin, bobbing his head up and down gratefully as he tells AVI, "Yeah, like, totally take your time. No need to rush . . ."
Sighing as he heads from the galley, Fumnanya contradicts Nkosana, telling AVI, "Don't dawdle."
Nkosana, frowning, bobs his head some more, scratching beneath his chin as he tells AVI in a disappointed tone, "Yeah, probably best you don't dawdle."
Vejide, lips pursed as though deep in thought, asks no one in particular, "Who says dawdle anymore? Shaking her head to dismiss the question, Vejide stands up and brings her plate to the sink, chuckling as Dee explains she is not particularly skilled with blasters, Well, I guess it's a good thing you were hired to fly rather than for being handy in a firefight, huh? Yawning as she heads out of the galley, Vejide tells no one in particular, Don't wake me on Tatooine, or anywhere else really, unless something needs fixin'."
Fumnanya, after telling Dikeledi that he will take over the piloting so she can get some rest, settles into the pilot's seat and, when the time comes, takes the Geheim Masjien out of hyperspace . . .
