Z'har didn't know how long it would take for Jade to return. So he waited. After two days he had fixed the hyperdrive & several of the faulty lighting panels in the most used areas of the ship. He was beginning to get worried about the delay, so he attempted to send a notification to Jade's commlink. It wouldn't cause it to buzz or beep, in case she was in a situation where that might distract her, but it would show up the next time she checked her commlink.
After a week, he had managed to cobbled together one of the droids in the cargo bay, at the expense of cannibalizing one of the others. He was beginning to really worry about her absence though.
Another two days & he had managed to cobble together a small hover drone that would scout the nearby area for humanoids & then report back. Even if it only found bodies.
A month had passed. The drone had found nothing, not even remains. Z'har had spent much of the time waiting by the raised boarding ramp in low power mode. Just standing & waiting for her return, standing in the shade of the YV-100. The only movements he made where vocal commands for the drone to continue its ever widening search.
She wasn't returning. Two months had passed. Weeds had covered his feet & grown halfway up his legs while he had been waiting. The drone had searched the entire forest several times over & found nothing. Z'har sighed, the first bit of movement his body had had in nearly three months. Automatic programs, such as pulse, breathing, & blinking, began to cycle into motion again as he finally pulled himself from low power mode. This wasn't the first time she had vanished without a trace. He doubted it would be the last. Keying open the boarding ramp, Z'har cast one last look back at the forest. They would meet again.
Shortly, the ship rumbled to life. Slowly & ponderously, it clawed its way into the sky & away from the planet.
