*Well that was good to hear that they had their own medical library. It actually sounded quite fascinating, and Jake's eyes widened with intrigue; it even had regular books! Jake liked those more than holo-books or just reading things on a terminal; it was useful information sure, and he'd use them when he had to, but there was something nicer about regular books, something he couldn't place.
Wait what was that about brain surgery?! Jake's eyes stayed wide, but this time with fright. They wanted him to learn brain surgery?! At his age? Th-there was no way! He wanted to learn medical procedures and Force healing, sure, but brain surgery was a bit much! He sat up in his chair, slamming his hands on the table as he spoke up, probably a bit louder than he'd meant to.*
B-but I'm only eight! H-h-how am I supposed to learn that?
*His panicked reaction lingered for a moment before he realized one crucial little detail that had been on Doctor Shaewe's face the whole time. One crucial clue...*
... oh, you were— you were kidding! Heh heh... sorry...
*He shrank a little into his seat, blushing as he did so. He really should have paid more attention before blurting out like that and saved himself some embarrassment, and maybe some looks. Had anyone looked his way at that? He hoped not...*

She couldn't help but laugh at Jakes wide-eyed shocked expression, and outburst, especially when he finally realized she'd been joking with the brain surgery comment. Seeing him humbly blush and shrink back into his seat with an apology afterwards made her tilt her head a little to the side with a bit of sympathy for him. Setting her mug down on the table, she folded her arms across her chest as she leaned back in her seat with a soft reassuring smile on her face.
"Jake, chéri....I promise you that you won't have to perform any brain surgeries. You might get to watch one, if such a case arises during your stay and you want to see it, but under no circumstances will you be expected to perform any kind of surgeries - let alone something as complex as brain surgery."
She hoped that put his young mind at ease because she didn't want to detour him from learning everything he wanted to learn. She was also beginning to see that he was a rather serious child and that wasn't a bad thing. It just meant that she would have to choose her words more carefully, and make it more clear when she was joking and when she wasn't, in the future. Leaning forward, with a slight smile, she folded her hands in front of her on the table.
"When you're finished with your food, we'll go to my office and go through some of the books and holobooks so you can start reading up on some of the basic techniques for first aid and for using the Force to heal. Sound like a good idea?"

*Even though Jake had already concluded that he'd never be made to do any brain surgery, the verbal assurance that he wouldn't, let alone any type of surgery, was very, very reassuring. He wasn't too sure about watching a brain surgery, that sounded a little... well, gross. Jake didn't even want to think about it, and even shuddered a bit. Other surgeries would be fine... probably. Depended on what was involved.
When Doctor Shaewe proposed they go to her office to start reading up on materials after he was finished eating, Jake nodded with an affirmative "Mm-hmm!" before turning to the last of his food. He almost started to rush through it before realizing that was both kind of rude and that there was no real hurry to begin with. So he finished off his meal at a leisurely pace, with a small sign of rushing, before wiping his hands off on his napkin and setting it on the tray and grinning.*
Alright, I'm finished! I'm ready to learn!

*A young woman walks into the Cantina, she had just been dropped off by public transport, she had green skin, and black hair with streaks of green through it, her eyes wide and curious, and walked as though she were light as a feather, with her hollow bones she was probably lighter then most would guess. It appeared almost as though she were wrapped in a featherdown cloak, and was barefoot. She walks gracefully into the Cantina area, she gingerly sits into a seat, she looked slightly lost and confused. She waited to be served quietly, she didn't know if she wanted to be seen or not.

*Lavinia realized that she had to help herself and shakes her head at not realizing sooner, she was used to Cantina styled places. She gets up, her barefeet padding quietly on the floor, she hummmed softly to herself. She eyes the selections, not because she was really picky, but couldn't decide which she wanted to try. She bites down softly on her lip and starts to get small portions of things that looked the best, and then pads back to the spot she'd picked out to sit. She sighs softly as she quietly picked at the food, she wasn't terribly hungry, but ate anyways, she learned to always eat when you could because you never knew when your next meal might be.*

The cafeteria had started to get a little busy with people trickling in during the lunch hour and Jake had announced that he was finished with his meal at just the right time. Smiling at the boy, Jena finished the last of her caf before passing her food tray off to one of the passing cleaning droids that periodically roamed through the cafeteria keeping it nearly spotless for everyone who ate there. Standing up from her chair, she stretched her arms out in front of her then straightened her white lab coat as she spoke, impressed with Jakes enthusiasm.
"Well then, let's get you some reading material so you can get started."
She turned to glance around the room and noticed a S'kytri woman sitting alone at a table not far from where she and Jake had been sitting. Narrowing her eyes momentarily, she wondered if the woman was the one that Aaron was with on Ralltiir. She had never met Aarons friend and had no idea what the woman looked like, other than she was S'kytri. 'No, it couldn't be her.', Jena thought to herself. Surely someone would've contacted her if they had sent the woman to Honoghr. Shaking her head slightly, she smiled and turned to see if Jake was ready to go....

*Lavi sighs softly to herself, and tidied the spot she was in. She looks around a moment, she was not huge into the whole technology thing, she'd much rather just be surrounded by nature. She sighs as she disposed of her dirty things, and turns to walk off, as she moved off a woman stands up, and the S'kytri almost bumps into a woman standing up from her own table with a boy. She gasps audibly and stumbled back a step before catching herself. If she were capable she would have blushed instead she felt horribly embarrassed.*
I..I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..
*Her voice quiet and graceful and showed some of her embarrassment. She looks down, it looked almost like the green downy "cloak" wrapped tighter around her body, which would be strange if it were just a cloak. She brushed her hair back behind her shoulder, and looks up again at the woman, she thought she should turn and leave before embarrassing herself further.*

*When the server droid passed by, collecting the patrons' utensils, Jake gave his to the droid as well. Jake was also starting to notice the increasing crowds, he supposed it was normal lunch hour for most of the workers here, he and Doctor Shaewe had just come early. When Doctor Shaewe stood and suggested they get Jake started with some reading materials, Jake grinned and got up from his own chair as well, but before he could reply, someone nearly stumbled into Doctor Shaewe and apologized for it. Jake merely took a step back, not wanting to become a casualty or just get in the way, and looked over the woman quickly. He recognized her as a S'kytri, having met one that lived on Felucia, although that one had a more human-like skin tone, whereas this woman's was proper. Jake still didn't know why the girl he met wasn't green like this woman's, but it wasn't his business, and probably neither was this woman's interaction with Doctor Shaewe, so he remained silent and patient for the moment.*

When Jena turned back around again, she was almost bowled over by the S'kytri. Her quick reflexes helped her in sidestepping to avoid being knocked down, but the S'kytri woman didn't fair quite as well as she stumbled back a step mumbling an apology. Looking over to Jake, to make sure he was out of harms way, then to the woman, Jena spoke with a kind smile.
"It's quite all right. Things like this happen all the time. Are you okay, you didn't hurt yourself did you? Are you here to see anyone in specific....a patient, or a doctor?" There was genuine concern in Jena's voice as she spoke to the S'kytri. She hoped the woman didn't injured herself in the near collision, but it was very easy for someone to twist an ankle when back stepping....

Nurse Sarah had come to the Cafeteria with another group of nurses during her lunch break, since this was where basically all of the RDMC staff came, since travelling into Nystao was a fair drive from here. She had already collected some food and was on her way to a table, when she noticed Jena with a young boy and a S'kytri Woman, neither of whom she had seen around the RDMC before. No doubt they were either here to visit a patient, or engage in some type of meeting with Jena. Not wanting to let a chance for mischief to go wasted, Sarah made her way over to the group, coming up from behind Jena as she did so, a mischievous grin on her face
Dr. Shaewe, fancy seeing you here, it's been far too long since we last saw each other... and who is this little cutie that's with you? He is just soooo adorable! And oh-em-gee girlfriend, green is so in right now, we should totes hang out.

*Lavi felt quite embarraassed as the woman caught her arms. The woman's firm grip on her hollow boned arms was stronger than needed and caused slight discomfort but not painful. She looks up to the woman and puts on one of her most pleasent smiles. She hadn't shown off that the cloak was actually her wings wrapped about herself.*
I'm fine, thank you. I am really sorry.. I didn't mean to cause a scene.I.. no. Daed told me I should come here...
Lavi was quite surprised by the appearance of the second woman, and her forwardness. She pulled her wings closer around her and glances at this other woman. Lavi was not used to being around people, although her time spent around Daed had gotten her more comfortable with it than she used to be. She was more at home with nature.*
I..uhhh... I.. Are you missing a....droid? And your luggage...? I haven't seen any totes....

Jena was about to say more to the S'kytri but a familiar voice stopped her. Closing her eyes, she had to fight doing a visible facepalm when Nurse Sarah spoke. Turning to the redhead, Jena smiled.
"Sarah, good to see you. How's the examinations coming along? I hear you have some happy patients. Allow me to introduce you to Jake, a new student of mine...." She smiled warmly at Jake then motioned to the S'kytri woman. "....and this is....sorry, I didn't get your name...."
With a glance over to the S'kytri woman, Jena waited for her to give her name. Stopping for a moment to focus on what the woman had said when she mentioned someone named Daed. Jena grew serious, her blue eyes darkening a little when hearing the name.
"Daed? As in Daedelus? You know my son, Aaron?"

Into the crowded and somewhat curious people who had just finished or just arrived walks a rather furry little humanoid with a broad smile and a knowing look in his eye. Making his way immediately to the group with the most attractive women in it he notices that he recognizes two of them, but this time they brought a stranger with them. Good evening ladies. He nods to each of them, completely ignoring the young human spawn who looked a bit out of place around the other three gathered. How are things today?
Without waiting for too much of a response he gives a slight wink to nurse Sarah he brushes his furry paws every so slightly against the backside of the other doctor, smiling apologetically in the same moment, and speaking before again before anyone can take note and mention anything. So who is this lovely woman? He says giving a deep smooth bow to the stranger before looking up and smiling, his immaculate white teeth gleaming in the artificial light of the cafeteria.

*Before Jake had much time to react, there were already more people showing up to talk with Doctor Shaewe. Jake was a little bit overwhelmed, but realized that, as probably the most esteemed doctor here, Doctor Shaewe would have a lot of associates. He had to blush a little at the compliment from the female nurse that appeared, though didn't feel it was his place to get involved in the conversation, so he hoped Doctor Shaewe would introduce him for him. Which, thankfully, she did, and learned the nurse's name: Sarah. At the introduction, Jake gave a polite bow, as well as an accompanying comment.*
Nice to meet you!
*However, things suddenly seemed to take a more serious turn, as apparently the S'kytri woman had mentioned someone Jena knew. That was, her son. Jake's eyes widened a little and immediately knew this was no conversation he was welcome in, so he quietly took a step back and climbed back up into his seat to patiently wait for the conversation to take its course. Shortly after was when an Ewok appeared. Jake could only think of his experience on Endor, and quite an experience it was. The Ewok seemed to be ignoring him though, which Jake wasn't sure how to take. He was kind of apart from the group, he supposed, and maybe he was just interested in business. Speaking of, not that this exchange was any of his business anyway, so he just remained quiet and patient.*

The examinations are going well. There is nothing quite like helping people, to bring a smile to one's face...
When Nurse Sarah used the term helping someone, it was most certainly not in the same sense as what Jena would have meant it. Sure, she healed patients and attended to their after care, but in most cases, she went above and beyond when attending to their after care, which resulted in enjoyment for both her and the patients.
Nurse Sarah then looked so confused as the S'kytri misinterpreted what she had said, assuming totes meant an item. Things soon got a little too serious between Jena and Lavinia for Sarah's taste, so decided not to interrupt any further. She winked back at Dr Ted, before detaching herself from the group and sitting at the table opposite Jake, placing her tray of food down as she did so
So you're studying to become a healer are you? Maybe when you're a little stronger I can teach you a super secret healing spell...
Nurse Sarah then winked at Jake and twitched her nose, before taking a bite of an apple

While waiting for the S'kytri to answer, another had joined their growing group. Dr. Ted E. Bare, the RDMC's resident ewok doctor, had walked up to them stopping beside Jena, and greeted them.
"Hello. Dr. Bare."
Before she could say more she felt a very slight touch on her backside, so slight that she wasn't sure it even happened until she looked down at Ted who had an apologetic smile on his furry face. Raising an eyebrow, she shifted her weight ever so slightly and brought a foot down, hard, on the toes of his foot that was closest to her. She glanced down at him with her own sweetly apologetic smile.
"Oh I'm terribly sorry, Dr. Bare, I hope that didn't hurt too badly. I didn't realize you were standing so close." Smirking a little, and still a little miffed that he would take such a liberty even if she did have an ass to die for, she moved a couple of steps away from the horny little furball.
Glancing over to Nurse Sarah, who had now sat down across from Jake, she nodded her head in acknowledgement of Sarah's comment knowing full well the nurses reputation and uncanny, if not questionable, ability to "bring a smile" to peoples faces. Well, this was turning into one very interesting scenario to say the least....

*Doctor "Bear"? Was that what Doctor Shaewe said the Ewok's name was? Well that was... on the nose, he supposed. Did Ewoks even have last names? He didn't think any of the ones he'd met did. Maybe he had to make up one when he came to be a doctor, so he went with an obvious one? Was Jake overthinking things? For that matter, it was surprising to see an Ewok doctor. Well, he'd seen shamans, but those weren't necessarily the same... It was just kind of interesting to see an Ewok doctor in a professional medical field like this.
Interrupting that chain of thought was the Nurse, Sarah, deciding to eat her lunch at Jake's table apparently. She even addressed Jake, and he nodded when asked if he was studying to be a healer. She then teased a "super secret healing spell" she knew that she could teach him when he was "stronger," and he was a little intrigued by that. And also confused. If it was a useful skill, why was it secret? Shouldn't helpful skills be more, well, well-known? Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask, as he tilted his head to the side.*
What kind of skill?

*Lavinia was a bit surprised at the response of Jena, between it and the other commotions that were about her it took a moment for her to gather herself, not being the most out going being surrounded by so many strange people made her slightly uncomfortable. She gazes about them quickly before refocusing on Jena again, feeling a little remorseful for not giving her, her full attention to begin with.*

Sarah wasn't exactly sure that Jena would be so approving of letting Sarah teach Jake the Chant of Ressurection, but it was always worth a shot at finding out by asking. For now though, she continued eating her lunch
It's a very powerful magic, that requires a great deal of responsibility...But that is for anohter time, assuming Jena will allow it. I wish you the best of luck in your studies...

After hearing a small yelp of pain from the fuzzy doctor, Jena chuckled inwardly as she smiled sweetly while speaking to Nurse Sarah and Dr. Bare. "If you two will please excuse us, I need to get Jake started on his studies." Tilting her head slightly to the side she glanced over to Jake with an encouraging look in her eyes, figuring he was more than ready to leave the cafeteria and start on his reading requirements. "Let's go find those books and datapads, shall we?" Turning to face the S'kytri, she met the woman's gaze with a warm smile. "If you don't mind, you may accompany Jake and I to my office where we can talk more privately." She patiently waited for Jake and the S'kytri to gather themselves together so they all could go to her office where they could have some privacy so Jake could study and she could find out more about Aaron....
