Arden looked up as his friend spoke to him. He had been lost in thought again, something that was beginning to happen far too often for his liking.
"Well hello Master Fenris, it has been far to long. Thank you for continuing to take care of this place in our absence. How is your family? Well I hope."
Arden smiled at his old friend as he spoke, he sensed something was troubling the other master. Perhaps it was simply the lack of people in the temple lately. Something told him that would soon change as well. Being back in this place after all this time was a comforting familiarity, a sense of belonging. The sense one gets when he returns home from a long vacation, but of course no one coming back from vacation looks forward to going back to work. This return home was also a return to work for Arden and many of the other masters. For a long time the CUF had been dormant throughout the galaxy, but now it was time for them to re-emerge and help the Jedi continue to keep the peace throughout the galaxy.

I do my best in making sure things are kept in order. However, I do have other concerns. If you recall, I have a new padawan and I do not know where she is. She had an R-4 unit with her.
My children are progressing well through their training. I have not yet heard from my wife on her progress on Alderaan so I trust the Living Force she is doing well. He paused My brother had been out on a dig on Tython, after his redemption, and instead went to Alderaan to assist Tirria and I trust he is well, even though I have not had contact. As to my sister, I know that she is wherever Kenson is. He paused.
Yet his unsettled spirit finally broke through. Am I that transparent? Came the rhetorical reply as the younger master sat down in his chair resting his elbows on his knees and draping his hands over his knees, he assumed a hunched position and raised his head to look at Arden.
Urias then allowed himself to let go some of what was unsettling him. No matter how much I meditate and try to come to inner peace and harmony, I still somehow feel responsible for how Kyja fell to the dark side the way he did. But yet, I shouldn't be feeling this. I should be happy that I have a new padawan somewhere out there. Maybe I'm mourning his heart. I don't know.
Urias remained looking at Arden and wanted to see what he would say.

Arden listened to his old friend update him on life here, and yet there was something troubling him. Arden knew, even before he said it, that it was about the fall of Kyja. Arden knew this was a very hard thing for Urias to deal with, he only hoped his words would be enough to comfort his friend.
Arden leaned back in his seat, the way he usually did before saying his thoughts on whatever profound topic was being discussed at the time...
"After all I have witnessed I can say without a doubt that even the best of us must fall. It allows us to see ourselves in a new light, to discover our strengths and weaknesses and use that knowledge to rise once more to where the Force requires us to be. I no longer believe that anyone truly falls but that they simply take a different path then the one we saw for them. In time all things will be in balance once more for that is truly the way of the force."

Urias sat in his seat and leaned back as he listened to Arden. He was beginning to be encouraged. He remembered his grandfather's words to him that Kyja would come back around and that Urias had done his part in training him. He had to let Kyja go and not mourn in his heart over Kyja. He was reminded that he turn his attention instead to what was before him: two apprentices who are preparing for the initiate trials, his own children, and future apprentices. He was reminded that he also has to train himself to let go of his attachment to his children, and to any apprentices.
You are right, my friend. The Force alerted him to a critical moment approaching
I wonder if and when he returns to the light and somehow manages to redeem that Sith Lord, would that qualify for him passing the trials? This has been on my mind as of late.

A coded frequency transmission arrived in the Council Chambers incoming message broadcast. Urias was startled and inadvertantly brushed the "play message" button on his chair. The message interrupted his and Arden's conversation and the audio played back.
=Capt. Henderson= This is Capt Henderson of the Jedi Forge. I request permission to land in the hangar bay of the Jedi Temple. I am carrying 25 new promising Jedi Initiates for training at the Temple.
Urias smiled cockeyed to Arden, Looks like we have some work to do old friend.

"Who says that his fall wasn't part of his trials all along? Perhaps when he returns to us he will have advanced beyond what we had thought possible."
Arden listened to the message Urias was getting.
"That my friend, is some of the best news I've heard in some time. Shall we prepare the dorms?"
Arden pressed a button on his chair and a protocol droid entered the chamber a few seconds later
(droid) "How may I be of service Masters?"
"Andy, we need you to prepare the dorms and training areas for the next class of students that will be arriving here shortly."
Arden and Urias were about to have their hands full with prep and class work. All in all, things were going to get back to normal sooner than expected around here. Hopefully the rest of the council would be returning in the near future as well, it would be nice to have everyone home again.

Urias had thought about Arden's perspective. Interesting take on the current situation of Kyja. Urias had thought about that and had roughly came to the same conclusion as Arden, which is why he vocalized his thoughts. The Living Force had indeed been bringing things together for him. The coversation between him and Arden seemed to take a turn with the welcome news of the shuttle arrival.
: Dockmaster, this is Jedi Master Urias Fenris. Allow the Jedi Forge clearance to land. Someone will be at the hanger bay bay to meet the new adepts.:
Arden, I agree. This is the best news I have heard all week. Let us prep the Dorms then. I will go and meet the shuttle. I have some pressing business that takes me to Dantooine to oversee the initiate trials of two of our apprentices from a couple cohorts ago.

=Hangar Bay= The shuttle descended and landed in the hangar bay. Capt. Henderson finalized the shutdown procedures but kept the engines primed for take-off as he had another pick-up in a half hour. Henderson then walked back to the hold and undid the restraints of the Future younglings. They stood up and stretched. Henderson lowered the loading ramp.
=Council Chambers= Urias stood up to go and meet the prospective students. On the way to the Hangar, he stopped by to check the progress of the cleaning and it was well underway. He also picked up the two apprentices: Rashan and L'awre.
=Temple Dormatories= IC: Rashan and L'awre, I trust your preparations are complete?
=Rashan= Yes Master. I am all ready to go to Dantooine.
=L'awre= Yes Master. I am ready and I know Rashan is ready to go to Dantooine.
IC: Very well. Please accompany me. We will not need any other weapons, to include your training lightsabers.
Urias watched the Apprentices leave their training sabers, and flanked the aged human on the right and the left. Jedi Master Wee Kenu also joined Urias from the dormatories, as the Temple was in a bustle again with the news of the arrival of the new crop of potential Initiates.
=Hangar Bay= Urias and his little group entered the bay and the potential younglings were lined up in front of the loading ramp in a five by five formation. Urias shook his head. He was annoyed that somehow this pilot had gotten wind of his prior New Republic service as an officer, and had arranged the younglings in a military formation.
=Capt Henderson= Group! Ah-ten-tion!
Urias said, That is not necessary Capt. Henderson. This is a Jedi Academy, not a military academy. An audible sigh of relief echoed from the younglings. Looking at the younglings Urias said, Relax young ones. Urias paused then continued Greetings younglings. I am Jedi Master Urias Fenris. You may call me Master Urias. To my left is Jedi Apprentice Rashan. His audience was captivated and held their breath at the sight of a Sith Pureblood amongs the Jedi, except the Sith Pureblood youngling. To my right is Jedi Apprentice L'awre. These two are travelling with me to Dantooine to undergo their Initiate Trials. These are trials that every initiate undergoes in order to become a Padawan. I currently have a Padawan who is off-world undergoing his Jedi Trials to become a Jedi Knight. These trials are are what every padawan undergoes to become a Knight. Urias gestured to his extreme left and said, This is Jedi Master Wee Kenu. He is a retired Master due to his advanced age, and spends his days training younglings such as yourself. The aged Rodian stepped forward and offered a wave. Turning to Rashan and L'awre, Urias said Make ready the Hawk for our departure. I will join you in a few minutes. Master Fenris said Capt. Henderson, you may leave to catch your pickup. Henderson made a hasty exit into the shuttle and went through the pre-flight checks. Satisfied, the shuttle took off and ascended to low orbit.
Urias turned his attention to the new students as Rashan and L'awre made their ways to the Night Hawk. I will be taking my leave. Master Keenu will make sure you are bunked up in your dormatories. You will be meeting the other instructors and masters as they come in. Right now, Master Arden Brandwyn and I are the only Council Members present. The others are on assignment. Just then the Fenris Quadruplets now about 4 years of age ran into the Hangar to bid Urias farewell. Urias smiled. HE could not sneak away from them, but he owed them a farewell.
=Fenris Quadruplets= Daddy! We're going to miss you.
Urias was impressed with his and Tirria's children. They were doing very well in their studies and training, and this crop of younglings were more about their age. Urias stooped down to gather his children and kiss them goodbye.
Mind Master Keenu and the other instructors. Welcome the new younglings and befriend them. I will not be gone long.
=Fenris Quadruplets= Okay Daddy.
With that, Urias looked at the elderly Rodian, They are in your capable hands Master Keenu.
=Wee Kenu= Thank you Master Fenris. Okay, Fenris Quadruplets line up next to me. The rest of the younglings stay where you are, I will present a roll call to verify the list I was given.
The Fenris quadruplets did so and the younglings also obeyed. While Urias boarded the Night Hawk and the Dynamic Class Freighter took off and ascended to low orbit.

Arden was smiling as his friend left the chambers to and greet the new arrivals, he too left the council room only he used his special door and headed down to the dormitories and his office. He decided it was time to tell a few of the maintenance droids about his hallway, it needed a cleaning. He entered his office, shuffled a few things on his desk and then went out to oversee that the students and their areas were being taken care of to his standards.

Master Urias, whom you just met, will also instruct you when he is here. There are other masters who will teach you when they visit, but for the most part I will be your primary instructor. With that, I will allow these four to introduce themselves, as they are now ready to learn.

The Fenris quadruplets proceeded to stand with their classmates and then Kenu led them to the the dormatories first to see their rooms, and then they went to the training room to begin.

Tirria's ship descended from orbit into the atmosphere. She veered it toward the Pelek Baw, and flew over the city. In the distance the spires of the temple could be seen. She then slightly cantered it to the landing area and descended in blank spot. Settling down, she opened the hatch. Torran unstrapped himself and gathered his items and followed his Master out. He had passed the Trials of Skill, Courage, Flesh, and Spirit on Alderaan as he freed the captive people from the Mandalorian Malice Hingang. He did so at extreme peril to himself. During the escape, he had remained behind as each one made it to safely. While the infiltration was flawless, the escape was not. Someone who was escaping sneezed, which gave their position away. At that point he still maintained secrecy, but realized he was running out of time. He had trailed the group to provide the cover for their exit. After the last one had made it out, that is when he was forced to duel several Mando warriors while he was fighting for a retreat. He knew he was outnumbered and outmatched, but he did have his Barran-Do training to supplement his Jedi training. Somehow the terrain dictated that they fall in single file despite the airborne troops, who also had to fall into single file pursuing the escapees. Torran was able to defeat a few Mandos, and hold at bay the airborne warriors with the Force. They had just made it to the safe zone where the escapees would be transported to their homes in Aldera, when he was hit several times with blaster fire. Much of the wounds he received missed vital organs, except for the one that had pierced his hear and lungs. He did not fall, but continued to provide cover as he remained calm drawing on the Force. He ended up using his last bit of Force reserves directed at the airborne warriors and managed to damage the repulsor lifts of some of them, before collapsing into a deep meditative state hovering at death's door. After the last of the escapees were loaded, a trooper picked up Torran's body and placed him in a medevac unit to make haste to Aldera for off-world transport. He was immediately placed in a Bacta Tank. He was listed with the wounded, and afterwords Knight Nolan Fenris and Galnar Fenris checked up on him. They and Lena Qel-Droma, a Force adept, started Torran's healing process. All the while, Torran was experiencing his vision. He had seen a mirror of himself doing the exact opposite of his actions, and killing all the prisoners. Then also rebelling and slaying Malice, Oran Lysippie, and Tirria in cold blood to end the conflict. He then pushed past graphic vision in order to begin achieving inner peace and harmony. When the conflict was over and Malice gone, Tirria immediately went to the place where Torran was and exercised her Master Healing ability to heal Torran's body. She also was able to touch his mind in the Force once she saw he was achieving inner peace and harmony renouncing the vision. He then slowly came to. After a recovery period of several days, he was released. Though he wanted the impact scars to remain. Tirria then forwarded the ordeal to the CUF Council Chambers for consideration of Torran to pass the first four trials. Torran limped off the ship and followed his master. Tirria left the hangar and proceeded to the dormatories and Torran limped to his room. Tirria checked on the children and found then sleeping soundly. She kissed each one and then made her way to her hunsband's seat. Sitting down she uploaded the information of his efforts regarding the trials of skill, courage, flesh, and spirit to each of the CUF Council members.

=Council Chamber=
Lady Fenris stood at the entrance. She saw her husband's seat and walked over to it. Her heeled boots made a light to medium noise on the floor as she walked. Her Blonde hair and Black robe both swirled behind her very slightly. She stopped at his chair and noticed a message that was incoming. She then sat down. She saw the source: the Katana Class Scout that had belonged to Padawan Kyja. Somehow, the tracking system was engaged. She leaned back and steepled her hands and rested her head on her index fingers to think. She noticed that Murdock's, Arden's, Jason's, Lord X's, and Maya's were all going off. She did not want to have the council send a fleet to Korriban to retrieve the ship. Instead, she decided to wait on it to see what would happen. She entered a meditative trance, and it was not more than two minutes afterword Urias' console beeped again. This time a message was being sent, real-time. She was prompted to record and save the message that was broadcast. As she saw it she realized it was not a distress signal. Quite the contrary. This was an important message depicting the redemption of the lost padawan. She decided to broadcast and record the message for playback. She then stood up from Urais' chair and then stood next to it as the message was playing real-time.

=Council Chambers=
In the Council chambers, the message showed as it was being transmitted. The background was the long lost Sith temple that had been buried over the millennia. Kyja was seen with yellow eyes, and pitch black fur; a result of his shift to the dark side. The Sith Lord Sarthon, who only recently was rejoined to his body in an Alchemy ritual, stood in front of Kyja. He was a Red Sith. His black hair was held in a pony tail, and his red skin was evident where it was not touched by his black sith robes. He spoke to Kyja,
Kyja, Before you are three hundered ravenous Tarentatek. Show no mercy and do not hesitate. They are real and they will eat you. Defeat them.
Kyja was seething with anger and without saying a word let out a howl. He tapped into his Force rage, and moved with blinding speed as he effortlessly dispatched the first hundred. Behind him the first hundred were twitching from automatic nerve response. He had no time to react or think. He disappeared in the Force and with stealth slew the next hundred with his lightsaber. For the final hundred, Kyja tested his telekinesis abilities by bringing a portion of the cavern ceiling down on them, crushing them. Kyja then field dressed the first two hundred and stored the meat in a cool place. He also prepared the final hundred as Tarentatek jerkey. Sarthon was impressed and learned something of processing and field dressing game. But, Sarthon was not pleased.
You did well in creatively dispatching the Tarentateks. However I expected you to not use your canine instincts like I told you.
=Kyja= Master, you have left me no choice. How else am I to dispatch them if not with my canine instincts?
Other means like you demonstrated with the Force stealth.
With that Sarthon blasted Kyja with Lightning. Kyja raised his saber to block.
What are you doing?
=Kyja= I did not desire to be hit with lightning.
You have no choice. The punishment for following through halfway is lightning.
With that, Sarthon struck Kyja with such vengeance that his lightsaber flew out of his hands. Kyja flew backward and hit the wall of the temple. He was momentarily stunned. Sarthon brought forth the next set of prisoners to test the knowledge that had been imparted to Kyja. One was a Jedi and the others were criminals.
Now Kyja. Do not fail me. I have prisoners for you to interrogate. The Jedi is to be spared. I have something special for him.
=Kyja= Yes Master.
Kyja thought for a moment. And tried out the drain knowledge. The first died due to the mere action of the power. The second did not last as long as the first. The third was stronger than the first two.
=Prisoner 3= I will not tell you anything.
=Kyja= We'll just see about that.
Kyja stood and executed the Darin Knowledge. He was able to retrieve the information that Sarthon was looking for, and executed a Force Kill on the prisoner who died within a few minutes. Kyja reported back.
=Kyja= Milord, I have done as you ask. The first two prisoners died on me. While the third expired after I got the info I wanted.
Good. You killed the final prisoner. Prisoners left alive are risky to be alive. Now, the Jedi are more difficult.
=Kyja= What would you have me do?
I want to know the location of the next Youngling shuttle, and the weakest Jedi faction. In order that we may destroy it.
=Kyja= Okay. Anything else?
Jedi are not to be trusted.
Narration: With that Sarthon stepped out of the way to reveal someone Kyja had not seen in some time. He caught her scent. She was his promised Alpha female he was supposed to join with and start their own pack just before the Imperial Remnant captured him and did their experiments on. Kyja did not know what say or what to do. He thought he knew what was expected of him as a Sith, but this was different. Old feelings of love burst up within him that he could not contain. He had slain only one Jedi Knight, and many Force adepts and younglings, but his promised Alpha mate was a different story. Kavika on the other hand, sensed the darkness and the monster he had become on the surface. Yet hidden deep down underneath she sensed the repressed true self of Kyja. Who he was before his turn to the Sith, before his acceptance into the Jedi, before his Matukai training, and before the Imperial Remnant's actions to him. She just looked into his eyes deeply and held his gaze. She was unarmed, though her viridian Lightsaber was at her side, underneath her Tawny colored robe. Sarthon watched the exchange, interested to see how it would play out. Still, neither one moved toward or away from each other. Nothing was said for two hours as they held each other's gaze. Something was breaking inside of Kyja, and he was fighting to muster all of his hate, anger, and vengeance to the fore. Sarthon was getting impatient. He expected Kyja to slay the Jedi Knight regardless of who she was. This would be his final sacrifice in order to be a true Sith. Yet no action was taken by either party. Sarthon finally mustered his anger and hate. Kavika and Kyja knew he could not kill his promised alpha mate. As they held each other's gazes the dark side began to break off of him. The corruption began to leave as his heart was finally being healed through the gaze of his promised mate. She continued to look at him with all the true love of Ashla she could muster, and was completely silent. Kyja replaced his red lightsaber onto his belt. His fur began change from the pitch black it had become, back to the bold tawny color it had been before everything that had happened to him. His eyes changed from the yellow color typical of Sith, to the blue eyes they had been a long time ago. He then began to surrender to Ashla, and it began to reverse the damage that had been done to him by the Remnant. After another fifteen minutes he was his original 2m height. He held her gaze. Finally, Sarthon had had enough and reached into the Force and poured all the fury of Bogan into his blast of Lightning directed at Kavika saying,
Kyja if you will not kill her, I will! Die Jedi!
Yet with blazing speed a red blade deftly blocked the blast and without a word, Kyja came to Kavika's defense.
=Kyja= Stand down Lord Sarthon. I will not let you harm another defenseless opponant.
As Kyja, with the strength of the Lightside of the Force, blocked and continued to block the storm of lightning being poured out from Sarthon.
Out of my way you Sith whelp, Sarthon said as he stopped the lightning.
=Kyja= No more! I renounce the Sith. I stand before you as Jedi Padawan Kyja. Stand down.
Kyja held his saber at the ready but deactivated it.
If this is the path you choose, then death is the only way for you.
=Kyja= I am not afraid of death no more.
Then Kavika stood by Kyja's side and leveled her gaze at Sarthon. Kyja continued. He bared his teeth and his hackles raised. He spoke through a low gutteral growl.
=Kyja= I will not kill you nor fight you, but I will defend myself if you push me. Why have you chosen this path?
Sarthon did not want to look at Kavika so he kept his gaze at Kyja. It is all I have known. My species has the darkness tendency, and we're trained in the darkside and it's higher mysteries.
=Kyja= No excuse. What of those from your species who were Jed'aii Masters and established the Jedi Order? What can you say of those, if the darkside is your species' propensity?
Bah! They were weak-minded fools who never tasted the true power.
=Kyja=So you say.
What do you know of it, you who has only tasted and scratched the surface of your true potential as a Sith?
=Kyja= Oh? My true potential as a Sith, being an instinctual beast? Becoming feral with the darkside? No. My master was right about the path of darkness being more seductive and easy. What kind of person would you be if you had not been born on a planet that had ties to the darkside?
I . . . Sarthon paused. His will was breaking and he could not do anything about it except keep looking at Kyja and not cast a glance at Kavika who would put him under her spell. I do not know. (pause) I know that this other Jedi whelp has placed you under her spell, and all I need to do is remove her and you are mine again.
Sarthon reared back and grabbed her throat with the Force. On instinct, Kyja howled and threw a Wave of the Force at Sarthon who released his hold and was sent flying back. Connecting with the Temple wall through the Force, Sarthon flew toward Kavika again. This time, Kyja used his powerful frame to physically knock Sarthon out of the air in blinding speed. Sarthon laid on the ground momentarily stunned. Kyja stood right at his former masters' feet. Kavika strode next to her promised mate and looked at Sarthon with all the love of Ashla in her gaze at him. Sarthon closed his eyes in madness and returned his gaze to Kyja.
=Kyja= You will not harm another defenseless opponent again.
You cannot beat me. Not while I can draw on the power and the call of Korriban. Even here you will eventually turn back to the darkside.
=Kavika= Your darkness is no match for my light Sith Lord.
Narration: Her words were full of the Light as she spoke them, and they penetrated his hearing. In his ears and mind, they cut like a knife through some of his connections to the darkness and penetrated his heart.
No! You will not put me under your spell, Jedi Witch!
Sarthon called his black saber to him and ignited it and swung down with a fury of the darkside meant to slice Kavika in half from right shoulder to left hip. Kyja's blade met Sarthon's at Kavika's shoulder. Kyja used his physical prowess to shove the blade back. Then the lightsaber battle was on. Kyja demonstrating his physical prowess in Juyo as Sarthon relied on his Mikashi prowess to counter. Kyja felt the Lightside pour into his attacks as he calmly began to focus them on keeping Sarthon off-balance, and look for a way to disarm his opponent without physically hurting Sarthon. As Kyja relaxed in his attacks, the lightside flowed as his physical prowess edged away and finesse take hold. He began to touch the realm of possibility of meditating while dueling. Yet, he also executed the flowing water technique against Sarthon and did not allow the Sith Lord any room for getting the upper hand. The contest began to get faster and faster, as Kyja began to rely less on his physical strength and more of the Force and his finesse with the blade. Sarthon in contrast was matching Kyja move for move but had no defense against Flowing Water and slowly gave up ground. At Kyja's side but not in the duel, was Kavika. She advanced with him. Sarthon was also beginning to get wild in his strikes as he poured his rage, anger, vengeance, hatred for the Jedi, the light, Kyja, Kavika, and the universe into his attacks. Kyjas' calm demeanor during the battle continued to infuriate Sarthon even more, and became more and more evident as the battle went on. Sarthon began to get sloppy in his counters until the strike of Kyja sliced Sarthon's blade in half. Sarthon did not let up and reached in the Force to Crush Kyja. Kyja felt himself being lifted up in the air and at that moment, Kyja blasted Sarthon with a wave of the Force. Sarthon let go, but began to hurl objects at Kyja; who grabbed each one and tossed them aside. However, the toll the battle was taking on Kyja's reserves became noticeable as the last object, a stone, slammed into Kyja drawing a deep gash in his forearm as Kyja batted it away. Kyja did not notice but kept his gaze in front of him. Despite the force of the throw and its speed Kyja remained on his feet. The Force was continuing to pour into Kyja, as he continued to purposefully listen to the Light Side. But, Kyja's reserves were dwindling. Sarthon looked at Kyja and could not understand why he was still standing strong. Kyja was tired but still standing, and the gash on his forearm was now bleeding profusely. Sarthon had thought that the Jedi would be weaker. Still persistent, Sarthon at last poured again the remainder of his reserves, hatred, anger, vengeance into his final blast of lightning directed at Kavika. Once again, just as blazing fast Kyja threw the last of his Force reserves and his prowess to block the powerful storm of lightning directed at Kavika. When that was finished, Kyja deactivated his blade and Sarthon collapsed tired. Kyja panting said,
=Kyja= The darkside can never overcome the lightside Sarthon.
Yes it can.
=Kyja= why then am I still standing? By your estimation and overconfidence I should have been destroyed right away. Yet I was not.
That was not the light, but your own will.
Kyja poured the lightside into his voice,
=Kyja= I think not Sarthon. You know this.
No! The darkside is stronger! It is what I am supposed to be.
=Kyja= Is it? You can turn from it like I have.
It is easy for you because you have known the light previously.
=Kyja= Not necessarily.
Kavika poured the light into her words and the love from Ashla into her gaze as she looked at Sarthon,
=Kavika= If the darkside is so powerful, why are we still standing before you?
Sarthon finally looked at her. Her piercing gaze and the love from Ashla found in the gaze, was powerful and Sarthon knew it. No matter what, he could not muster up anything from Bogan to counter the love from Ashla. He tried as he held her gaze and listened to her words which were like sweet music in the Force to his ears. He finally said, I do not know why I could not defeat you with the darkside. The very fact that you are still standing demonstrates to me that the lightside is stronger than the dark. Sarthon turned away form her and faintly heard the darkside again, and tried to draw it in but it seemed just out of his reach. Yet he tried and touched just the edge of the darkness. Kyja threw his blade away and he lowered his hackles and let silent his guttural growl.
=Kyja= If you want proof, then I speak to that innocent part of you hidden in your heart. I will not strike and I offer you the chance to strike me.
Sarthon said, What trickery is this? You would throw your weapon down before a Sith? You are bold, whelp. The force of Kyja's words destroyed the grasping Sarthon was trying to get from the darkside.
=Kyja= No trickery. Deep down I know you will not kill and unarmed and defenseless opponent.
What assurances do I have that you will not kill me?
=Kyja= I am a Jedi. I will not kill a defenseless opponent, no matter the threat you may pose.
You tread on thin ice, Jedi.
=Kyja= Ice that I am willing to tread.
=Kavika= What will it be, Sith?
Sarthon again looked at Kavika and held her gaze. The love from Ashla broke through everything that Sarthon knew of the Force. Her words hit him again and this time he could no longer hear the whispers of the Sith Lords in the tombs on Korriban. As he looked at her, She saw him as a broken young sithling who did not know a father or a mother; for both had been killed in the Great Hyperspace war. Sarthon also saw this and finally after 6494 years broke down as he looked at her. But the peace and love from the lightside of the Force tore through the mourning and the loss, and the fear as he looked at her. After fifteen minutes he finally broke her gaze and he looked at Kyja. Kyja saw the change. The inner peace and harmony was exuding from the former Sith Lord.
Kyja and Kavika I thank you for what you have shown me this day. We must leave this place.
They agreed in silence and gathered up meat that Kyja had saved and placed it in the pack he had originally brought with him. Sarthon took the holo-recorder and turned it off and placed it in a pouch on his warrior's harness. At that, the message ended.

=Dormatories: Torran's room= Torran entered the dormatories, and limped over to where his room was. He decided he needed rest before he reported to the council with his master. He was exhausted from the trip and the expedition he had been on. He would be disabled for the rest of his life. His limp was not as bad as it could have been, but it was still enough to be visible. It was something he could live with. He stretched out on his bed and fell into a deep meditative sleep.

Lord Sarthon steadied the scout in the descent from orbit. The ship turned nice and gracefully toward the temple in the distance. As they neared the temple he began the landing procedures. He lowered the ship down gently to an open space, with Master Fenris not far behind. He unstrapped himself and his passengers did the same. He knew he had to face whatever judgment might come his way from the council of this faction of Jedi. Yet, he figured they were also merciful and he was hoping so.

=Hangar= Tirria had heard the call to meet Kyja's ship in the hangar while wrapping up the upload of Kyjas's redemption to the council chairs, and her padawans mission to Alderaan. She had rallied what she could of temple security, only to find out that they were not needed. However, she allowed 2x teams of shadow go to the hangar to watch. She went to the training room.
Master Kenu, I need your experienced apprentices and you to come to the hangar.
=Master Kenu= Very well Lady Fenris.
Master Tirria made her way to the Hangar. She was flanked on the left by Apprentice Dras'kohk, a Trandoshan, and on the right by Apprentice Doa, a Rodian. She did not bother her Padawan who was still resting in his dorm bed from the experience on Alderaan. She stood some distance from the Katana Scout was going to land. She saw it descend and also saw the Night Hawk circling above waiting. The Katana Scout settled on the hangar floor, in its assigned spot. She also watched as the Night Hawk began to descend and then finally touch down. She saw the loading ramp settle onto the floor and waited. The Shadow guard from security was in position and only she knew where their positions were to be taken; because they told her how they were going to position themselves. They had taken up positions basing off the exterior wall of the hangar bay and remained unseen in a large hexagonal pattern.
=Tranining Room= Master Wee Kenu gathered the on-duty instructors along with three students. He selected two apprentices ready for their Initiate trials: Apprentice Lorn (a Rakata), and Apprentice Shian Yessel (a Devaronian). He selected his Padawan, Tarence'den (Lethan Twilek), and then the following masters: Master Eleena Rar – Instructor of achieving a center in chaos (Rutian Twilek), Master Astraal Ban (Rutian Twilek) – Instructor of Telekinesis, Master Gorton Dor – Instructor of Shi-cho, and Master Jacen Lor – Instructor of Force combat forms. This group followed Master Tirria by 15 minutes and caught up with her in the hangar. Master Tirria saw them approach and issued the folowing orders:
=Hangar= Master Rar, as I face the Katana Scout, I need you to spread out 3m to my 10:30. Master Ban you go 3m to my 2:30. Master Gorton you go 3m to my 7:30. Master Lor, you go 3m to my 5:15. Master Kenu you will go 3m to my 6. She paused and then continued. Apprentice Lorn flank Master Kenus left 2m at his 7:30, and Apprentice Shian you head to Master Kenus right 2m at his 5:15. Padawan Tarence'den you protect Master Kenus six at 2m.
When she was done she faced the scout. She then sat and centered herself on the floor. She heard Master Urias and the almost christened Padawans, who had one more trial before them, step down the loading ramp of the Night Hawk and heard them proceed to the edge of the ramp of the Katana. Rashan on Urias' left and L'awre on his right. She stood up and waited.

Urias, settled the Night Hawk on the open spot next to the scout. He unstrapped himself and L'awre and Rashan followed him out of the Night Hawk. They descended down the ramp. He thought, “leave it to my wife to bring an assortment of Jedi as assurance regarding my redeemed padawan and this Sith Lord.” He could feel the presence of the shadow and just shook his head. They walked to the edge of the ramp. Rashan and L'awre walked down the ramp following Master Urias. Rashan came to a stop on Urias' left while L'awre came to a halt on Urias' right. Rashan sensed no ill-will from the shuttle. She could barely sense the presence of the Shadow, and was surprised to see an assortment of Jedi in the hangar. She made a mental note not to anger Lady Fenris, due to the other Fenris' gaze levelled at the shuttle. It was more intense that Urias' gaze when serious about something. L'awre of course loved combat and direct confrontation. To her budding senses, she too could barely detect them, otherwise she did not think twice about them in the hangar. For her, stalking in the shadows was not her forte'. She thought that all the Jedi Lady Fenris brought was a little overkill and if things went south she was confident she could hold her own in any battle. Yet, she remembered to check herself on her arrogant overconfidence and underestimation of those hidden in the shuttle.
Padawan Kyja, you will come out first and stand directly in front of me. Master Urias said.

Padawan Kyja heard the Night Hawk come down for a landing. He heard the footsteps of many people approach the craft. He noted something puzzling that just evaded his senses that seemed to surround the ship and hangar. He had recovered enough from his brutal battle with Lord Sarthon, but the cost was much. He suffered severe seizures and neurological malfunction due to the final blow of the lightning that Sarthon unleashed toward his alpha mate which he intercepted with his blade and then body when the blade failed. He had been able to stand at the end redeeming Sarthon, due to the strength of his instincts, the Force, willpower, and shear adrenaline. Now that he had relaxed and the adrenaline wore off, he knew he was in trouble. His forearm was in bad shape from the ungly bloody scar that it bore from the stone he physically deflected from Sarthon; it was in danger of becoming infected and gangrenous. He needed more bacta treatment and the efficiency of a Master Healer. He knew he wanted to bear a scar on his forearm, but he wanted his neurological damage to be healed. He heard Lady Fenris bark orders to the Jedi that accompanied her. When her felt her mind touch his as she probed the ship, he sent her his condition. Then he heard his old Master command him to exit the ship. Kyja stood and was helped by Kavika and Sarthon. Gaining strength and opening himself up to the Force, he assured them
=Kyja= I'm alright. The Force will sustain me. Besides if I collapse, Lady Fenris is one of the better healers of this faction of Jedi. Master Maya Whitelight surpasses Lady Fenris in skill and application.
He followed his master's orders, and slowly walked out of the craft and down the ramp to stand in front of Master Urias.

Urias saw the change in his old Padawan as he slowly walked down the ramp. Kyja was not the towering 11.5 feet (3m) he once was, but now just 6'6" (2m). Urias also noted that his old padawan was struggling and would periodically jerk and twitch as he made his way to Urias. Urias also noted the sickening gash on the forearm. Urias watched Kyja stop where designated. He walked up to Kyja and said,
Welcome back to fold. Go to your old room here at the temple and rest. You have been through much.
Urias then spoke through the Force to his wife, ::Honey, Kyja needs medical attention::
