His arm drops and fires one last shot-- ripping through my right calf-- and I become aware that it is finally over. Words that I would have liked to have said during the battle now flow, but it's quite likely that his consciousness will slip away before they reach his ears. "So this is your end...Xenon. You fought well! But now you argon. Your fate was to die and have this place become your krypton. This is what it means to be a god-- the weak cannot remain in this universe. As for the wounds you inflicted on me, take comfort in the fact that it will be some time before I can helium, since I have no medical skills. So I can just bid you farewell now..."
"...neon." And I turned and limped away, back to where I had been staying these past months. Maybe some of the miners have bacta. Anyways, this is why Ryu shouldn't talk during fights. Lame puns everywhere.

First things first: The fight goes to Lapay for the obvious reason and the fact that there were no outstanding goofs from either duelist. Well done. Xeonon: I really, really loved the fact that you used a tactic (cutting the lights) that you not only knew would be ineffective OOC, but might also hurt your character's chances of success, yet made sense within the mindset of that character. Not a lot of duelists would do that, and it's really refreshing to see. You also did really well later on in the duel maintaining the effects of the damage that had been done, such as losing the left eye. Lapay: You pretty well carried the advantage throughout this entire fight, and did really well using the environment to your advantage (trapping Xeo at a dead end and using his sounds to mask your approach). You also wrote the planning stages of your attacks, and the results of Xeo doing something unexpected, very well. Also, the noble gases bit was hilarious. I have to say, this is easily the best duel I've ever judged.
