I want to get my character involved in any Jedi group available. I basically want my character to prove his worth in the presence of a Jedi on Coruscant. This could be helping a Jedi with a rising violent issue or perhaps taking out ruffians with skill and a good use of the Force. In case you ask, I have moderate experience with roleplaying, and am looking for a new experience. I have never rped as an apprentice/padawan, and in my experience I have assumed the role of padawan as difficult and challenging, yet fun. I do have a book on the Jedi Code in RL, and plan to have my character to have an unedited version. I hope to hear from anyone willing to give me a shot.

Guys, don't tell him anything.
I've got him.
How about it?
I'll train you how to be a Jedi.

Trained by Major, you'd be the best Jedi ever. Period. Exclamation mark.

Well I voiced my options for recognition up at the top. Both could work well. If you have something to add I am willing to hear it.

Major's.... whatever Major's thing is (which is something for you to discover and define for yourself)... aside... the Jedi Council OOC thread is the best place to contact a multitude of Jedi and get something rolling. Link to follow. jedivsith.boards.net/thread/717/jedi-council-ooc-planningThe main Jedi worlds are Corellia, Yavin, Ossus, and Felucia, with fairly consistent Jedi activity on Coruscant, Honoghr, and a handful of others.... Or if you go with Major... well. You'll find her very... umm... well, you'll be very... uh... It'll be an interesting experience for you. Let's go with that.

Im getting mixed assumptions already on this decision with Major. Not that I'm not looking for an interesting experience, but I think its better if use both threads and see which will be to my best interest on how this character shall develop.

*sigh*
Right, I'll out and out say it, because this could get messy if someone doesn't.
Major isn't a Jedi. She's... not... even Jedi friendly. She might not even be house trained, nobody really knows. She is, however, terrifying to most mortals and even some immortals.

This doesnt mean I cant give her a chance to teach me something useful. What is life without risk? And if I don't find her goals fit my goaks than I will go for the Jedi instead of her. Look... If i didnt know what risks i was taking, I wouldnt be a good roleplayer. There are always risks. Just need to know if they work or dont.

You have just said the perfect thing.
See, just because someone doesn't adhere to a label doesn't mean that can't be useful.
I'll take you on and train you. You can either pick a location and I'll work out how the relationship works on the fly. Or you can go to Dressel.
I'll leave it up to you as to whether this is all a random encounter or if you're actively seeking.

If you want Jedi, I would strongly recommend going to someone else. There are possibilities for interesting RP here, don't get me wrong. But none if those possibilities include anything even remotely Jedi-ish.

Oh, absolutely! It'll be an experience and a half, and I'm sure you'll learn much. And as RPs go, probably a brilliant adventure. Just don't expect a particularly good interpretation of the Jedi code, is all I meant.

He's going out of the box to get a new perspective on being a Jedi, I think he deserves to be lauded for that. Interpretations of the Jedi code vary from person to person, Major may surprise you with hers. Besides having someone that's actually a different brand of Jedi would be refreshing, and I'm interested to see where this would head. We have enough temple hermits as it stands, if this bunks he always has another option.

Sith are generally less evil.
Don't expect any interpretation of the Jedi code. Expect the word Jedi to be treated as a mild profanity. If you're looking to put your character through hell, test his beliefs to the limit, and maybe come out the other side with your limbs intact, go for it.

I think its best if we do it on my character's home planet. He doesn't really have a starship or anything. The underworld would be a good set up since my guy has a history of going after thieves and crooks. The underworld... from my point of view, is one of the known places to have them.
