Grey Jedi Order

If you want to create a "Grey Jedi Order" then by all means go ahead and do so. I find it odd, but I can't stop you trying to make it work. That's why I tried to offer a constructive alternative instead of just saying "don't do it."

Personally, I still don't think it makes sense, based on Star Wars canon. There simply is no such thing in the Star Wars Universe. Being an Order violates what it means to be grey. Beyond that objection, my IC interpretation of what it means to be a Jedi is irrelevant, because I fully expect (and encourage) there to be differences in IC application, so don't think that I'm putting down the concept of there being greys. Some people might actually consider Kel'Al a grey jedi, and I think it's a good thing for the Jedi if we have a few greys around to challenge our thinking and test our authority.

I think a lot of the Jedi writers here are (perhaps unfairly) anxious about the concept of a "Grey Jedi Order" because a) we're currently trying to break down OOC divisions among the Jedi writers and other people have made "Grey Orders" in the past that had little respect for canon -- basically using it as an excuse to use both lightside and darkside powers. None of that is your fault, but it explains the knee-jerk reactions you got.
