This isn't a huge deal but more of a suggestion for clarity's sake. Can we get a roster, for lack of a better word, of the current Whills that is updated regularly as they retire, go on extended vacations, or are added to the council? One where maybe they are tagged for easy access to their profiles for things like PMs and the sort.
We could even add councilors on this list to have all of the contact information in one place if we really wanted.
Anyway like I said, not a big deal, it's just something that came to mind.

To add to Liya's information, if you sort the list of all members by group/rank it turns out that Councilors and GBA judges show up just below the Whills. jedivsith.boards.net/members?dir=desc&sort=order
Now as to whether it would be worthwhile to put the link into the Welcome to JvS page or something like that is a different question and it might be a good thing to do just that, if you think it's not an intuitive thing to find on your own.

It's not very intuitive nor it is helpful.
Sahn, Nyx and Ana have not been around or posted in months but are still listed in staff as though they are active. If someone is looking for help or answers, PMing an inactive Whill does nothing to help them.
Having a list of active Whills we can expect to get answers from in a timely manner would be beneficial.
It also might help guide new players to the hierarchy of whom to reach out to for questions.

It's more helpful than you seem to think. Sahn was just online 48 mins ago, before that I can't say except that I have seen him around and his absence was noted to us in advance. Nyx is still active enough to not have been moved to the retired group yet. Ana's case is different because it's a question of how to treat 3-star retirees, but that is a thing that we were able to think of before you posted it.
And typically, people who PM the Whills tend to include more than one Whill in the recipients list for the PM. I will concede that this is not always the case. But it is in the vast majority of cases.
Listing the ''active Whills who [you] can expect to get answers from in a timely manner'' distinct from the admin group is foolish, as it will ultimately become a prime candidate for a thing that will eventually go unnoticed and languish in a state desperate for updates. At best, it will be marginally more helpful than the usergroup list of Whills.

Whills who hide their online status don't show up for us. To me in the members list sorted for Staff, Sahn was last online April 21. Nyx is showing last online April 3. Erevis was last online April 18 but I see him posting all the time.
None of them show up in the Users Online in the Last 24 Hours listing on the main page. You can see them because you are an admin. To us, it looks like they haven't been around in months.

I did realize that might've been why you brought that up after I thought about it for a while. (It didn't occur to me at first because I'm one of the few who don't hide online status) We do keep tabs on inactivity and we do have a policy for when to retire a Whill due to that (although usually candidates for retiring due to inactivity recognize this and make the decision themselves).
But, merely because a Whill doesn't post publicly very often (or at all) doesn't mean that they're not posting in the private council, or at least logging in to check PMs.
The other thing is that the hierarchy for new players to come to people with questions does also include the Councilors and apart from looking up the Council group or the players' area for a Councilor it's no easier to find one of them. So the links to both Councilor and Whill usergroup members might be helpful in the "Welcome to JvS" post.
I dunno. It might or might not be useful to add, at the very least it's probably not detrimental?

I just thought it was a good idea/helpful tool, especially for newer people. It's not exactly something that would inconvenience anyone IMO, but rather the opposite. I wasn't trying to start a debate.

My esteemed older brother Xixo made a change to this thread in the TG back in December which should offer the requested information. :^)
