*The hologram of Aerandir nodded once, acknowledging the need for official procedures, then again when asked if the Five Worlds' government were to keep this to themselves for the time being.* "Indeed. Keep things a surprise for when the Imperial chooses to make the first strike. I would also inform key military personnel as well; we may very well need all the help we can get in that department. When you're ready to make things official, you know how to contact me. I'll be standing by. May the Force be with you." *The figure then bowed, awaited any final tidings, then faded out of existence.*

Corellian Council Offices
After his dramatic escape from Coruscant, under the very noses of a rebellious faction of the Senate guard, with only a single Selonian CDF officer to cover his back, Dmitri had taken a much needed vacation before assuming his new duties as Head of State of Corellia. However, upon his return, Hadrig had briefed the five member Corellian Council on Aerandir's message. While the Drall returned to his own home, and Dmitri prepared for the Five Worlds Prime Minister election, he also secretly planned what would need to be done when the Alliance was publicly announced. For one thing, he needed to send someone to Mon Cal to participate in whatever next steps were taken, but it also had to be someone low profile, so that they would not tip off the Imperials as to the importance of the mission.
Catching himself chewing on the end of a pencil. Koronov sighed, and keyed his office com.
Meghan, contact Captain Sara Ruluwoor, and ask her to come to my office. I need a favor from her, and I need someone with her proven discretion.
=Woman's voice= Right away, sir. The clipped response was followed by the sound of fingers on a keyboard.
Thank you. Dmitri sighed. "I wish Aylee were here." He said to no one.

Gliding through the Capitol tower with an almost serpentine grace Selonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs was not an unfamiliar sight. The grey furred Selonian cut an impressive figure at 2 meters tall and with an obsidian glaive hanging from her back, in fact she looked down right intimidating to anyone not familiar with her generally pleasant demeanor. Shira wasn't paying too much attention to the attention of those in the halls however, she was here for a difficult discussion and all her thoughts were occupied working through her thoughts and sorting through her thoughts.
Eventually arriving at her destination the Selonian asking the woman at the outer desk politely for a few minutes of time before taking a deep breath to calm herself. She starts to bring herself back to focus as she waited to be admitted into the office of Dimitri Koronov.

Due to his status within the Coalition's government, Graemon was afforded necessary accommodations on the planet of Corellia, located within the Capitol Tower. Once the center of government for the Corellian Republic and nations before, it served well as the present building for the Coalition's governing body. The Fondorian was hard at work these days, revising an old proposal that had met agreement with the Galactic Alliance but had become defunct since its fall to the Empire. With the dark days that fell upon the galaxy, Baron Gorgano felt it necessary to build a counter-terrorist, law enforcement, and domestic security force that operated for the whole of the Coalition. Learning from the mistakes of the Galactic Alliance Guard, Graemon sought to form a Coalition version that was beholden to the civilian government and did not operate with any sort of extraordinary powers beyond its given authority.
He knew plenty would be rather hesitant, but the Fondorian felt it necessary. Imperial sympathizers could be anywhere and if one existed, it could compromise a whole sector and make it ready for invasion. Not to mention agents of the Sith and other powers that could seek to undermine Corellian authority, both internally and externally. When the war was over and the galaxy experienced peace, Gorgano would see this device disbanded. At best, this was a wartime creation and would exist until peace and stability was brought back to the galaxy.

Days of being in the refugee camp hand presented Lynne and her crew with new sets of challenges that they were not used to facing. But each challenge was faced with the same fire and passion as if they were in the thick of battle. Hunger and permanent housing were some of the few challenges that had not been overcome. And that was what Lynne was going to the capital about. She had been told that some of the Heads of State were back on planet, and she was never one to wait for the slow turn of bureaucracy, she'd go to the top (or as high as she could before being removed from the building). Using her new Coalition ID to gain entry to the building and bypass many of the lower level clerks, she got into a lift and after a brief conversation with a guard, learned what level she should shoot for. Clutching tightly to her data pad, she marched up to the receptionist for the level she was let out on.
=Lynne= Captain Lynne Jameroo, here to see some on about the refugee crises this world is facing.
The receptionist seemed a little surprised by the abruptness of this captain who clearly didn't have an appointment. But all the same, the Captain's sudden appearance and confidence left the receptionist a little off footing and folded like a house of cards in a hurricane.
=Receptionist= Uh- Baron Gorgano is in a meeting at the moment but I'll let him know you are here, Captain- uh, Lynne.
'Really?' Thought Lynne. She felt both excited and horrified by this. On one hand she'd get to see the Baron again, but on the other, she had just made an ass of herself and would be interrupting him. And on top of it all, she had been roughing it in the refugee camps with her crew for the past few days, and her doctors uniform couldn't quite get some of the stains washed out. She knew she should have worn her dress fatigues today.
=Lynne= O-Okay, then. I'll wait here then.
And with that she found a bench and sat and waited till Gorgano could meet with her.

Indeed, when Doctor Jameroo came to speak with someone of note, Baron Gorgano was speaking with various security officials, representatives of Fondor, FedDub, Corellia, and other members of the Coalition. It was his desire to see this new security force be a compilation of the various existing security forces, representing the newly founded unity of the Coalition. There were those who were truly for it, but the older members were somewhat hesitant. Their concerns came from the example set by the Galactic Alliance Guard of old and the existing Imperial Intelligence of the First Order. Graemon did his best to combat their concerns in the end, hoping they had a good picture when they left.
He stepped out of his office, bidding goodbye to those who had joined him today. However, as he turned to head into his office, the receptionist looked down the hallway and managed to catch him before he went back inside. She gestures to the front part of her desk.
Baron Gorgano, there is a Captain Lynne here. She wants to see someone about the refugees on Corellia.
Graemon looks down the hallway, noticing just half of Lynne appearing around the corner. He motions to the Receptionist to send her through. The message was relayed and Doctor Jameroo was allowed to head for where Graemon's office was.
His office was decorated in the Fondor fashion which showed off the noble heritage he descended from. After all, the Gorgano's claimed to be descended from an Emperor of the old Tapani Empire, Gorgano IV. However, they made their fortunes in the Freeworld Territories, which Fondor stood as its jewel. He was at his desk when Lynne walked in, his eyes looking at the datapad as he made notes about today's meeting. Once that was done, he looks up at the Doctor.
Doctor Jameroo, a pleasure to see you again. Please have a seat.

As she stepped into Gorgano's office, she was wowed by the decor. It was so regal. But she quickly returned focus to the Baron and saluted him before he offered a seat. Lynne found herself starting to blush when Graemon said it was 'a pleasure to see you again.' She quickly took up the offer and sat down.
=Lynne= Thank you, Sir. It's good to see you too. I hope I didn't interrupt you. I have no real stomach for bureaucracy, especially when peoples lives are involved. Speaking of, I have news to report from the refugee camp I have taken charge of.
She passed the datapad she had arrived with, across the desk. It detailed various statistics about how the camp was doing. Many of which Lynne seemed to have memorized.
=Lynne= My people are having trouble finding enough permanent housing for the refugees. Many of whom arrived with nothing. This is extremely difficult on our Mon Cala population, as we don't have adequate facilities, and it can be days between when they can submerge themselves. Food is also getting more difficult to come by. Donations have slowed down from the general population of Corellia, and my crew have started giving up meals, limiting themselves to one a day while there other rations go to the refugees. Major Tethras has only had to detain a handful of individuals, mostly for attempting to steal extra food and medical supplies. I've looked at the reports from other camps across the world and we are dangerously close though, to this becoming a full fledged crises. But helping these people wont just be a humanitarian move. Many males and females have expressed their desire to serve in the Coalition military, but only once their families are housed and safe. If Corellia, and the Coalition, can help these people, then we stand to gain a sizable bump in our population in support of mobilization and more than enough bodies to fully man two more captured Resurgents.
The numbers on the datapad seemed to reflect both Lynne's fears and hopes for the out come of this situation. From the glint in her eye, Graemon would have no doubt how passionate she was about helping these people. As she had been speaking she had been watching the Barons face, trying to read how he would react to her report.

Graemon rubs his bearded chin as Lynne spoke, his focus undivided as she gave her passionate speech involving the refugee crisis. This was the problem that the Coalition faced; not only the refugees but, in general, any survivor of the Sack of Mon Calamari. There was very little that could be done, unfortunately, as the Coalition was still establishing itself and extending membership to like-minded planets. The Fondorian taps his desk three times, contemplating what could be done as, at least, a temporary fix.
The Coalition is still getting its feet off the ground. A lot of work is being put towards ensuring our ships and their respective fleets are ready for combat. We have been wary of incoming ships, fearing that they might be pursued by an Imperial fleet. We have been lucky that none of that has happened... yet.
Graemon reaches across his desk, grabbing a datapad. He flips through some pages, examining some information for a moment.
At best, we can alleviate Corellia of the present refugee numbers and move them to other Coalition worlds. Fondor and the Tapani Sector, Kiffu, Thyferra, Drall, Selonia, Talus and Tralus... plenty of worlds that could have the means of helping refugees and housing them without them all focused on Corellia. Thyferra is good for those seriously wounded and incapable at this time. It is a temporary fix, allowing to move about at least, while the Coalition works out a better deal in terms of how to properly tackle the issue.
Gorgano had his hands tied beyond this. He would have to speak with Starmane and other leaders to get them onboard. If agreeable, then it would help alleviate Corellia while the situation was properly examined and properly discussed.
Its the best I can offer right now without having to turn to the Senate, Lynne. It will give them a chance to rest and maybe find work. His Excellency, Marcus Starmane, is working on getting our economy and production readied. Certainly, jobs will open up that could give these people some work. And we begin to expand, people will be needed to protect, administrate, and cultivate the worlds we bring in.

Lynne stood quickly from her her seat, she raised her fist as if to pound on the desk. Ready to lay into Gorgano for 'not doing enough' or any number of other things. But as she got to the point of about to speak she looked into his eye and could see he too cared, but had to be the realist. The rock in a sea of swirling chaos, always their and never yielding. She lowered her fist slowly down to the table. Now, supporting herself with both hands she let out a deep breath.
=Lynne= That's- that will have to do. I suppose I expected too much from such a young state as the Coalition.
Looking up at the Baron, Lynne was clearly feeling embarrassed by her almost out burst.
=Lynne= Thank you for meeting with me on such short notice.

Graemon's eyebrow goes up curiously as Doctor Jameroo looked ready to slam her fist on the desk or deck him in the face. Wouldn't be the first time that either happened. The Fondorian held his ground within his chair, watching and waiting for her to make her next move. Yet nothing came in the end, all she did was simply lower her hand. It seemed she realized that he was doing the best he could do. There was nothing more to be done beyond what Graemon could offer. He exhales deeply, rising from his seat.
But despite how young the state is, the Coalition will look after its people. A duty that the Galactic Alliance failed to do miserably. It was beset by external and internal conflicts which only hindered its very foundations. Even in its final days, the Alliance could barely mount a proper defense against the Empire.
The Fondorian walks over to where some Corellian Brandy was situated. He calmly shakes the bottle.
I think you need this more than me. I can see the stress in your posture.
Whether she wanted a drink or not, he poured himself a glass. And an additional one if she took his offer.
I can assure you, Doctor, we will be working to help the refugees. Our government wants to set a good example, something that the Galactic Alliance failed to do. And the politicians desire good relations with the public as well. Otherwise, we will only end up like the Alliance... and when that happens, then there is no hope in this galaxy.

Lynne, sighed again and relaxed even more. She had been working nonstop for close to a week. She watched as the Baron moved over to pour a drink. A werry smile formed on her face as she pushed herself back up straight and moved over to the offered Brandy.
=Lynne= Is this real Corellian Brandy? I haven't had any since I left for the GA fleet. She took a sip and after trying to stifle a cough continued. Yep- Yep, that's the real good stuff. But I also didn't mean any offence by anything I've said, I know you, and the others in the government, have been doing all you can. It is nice to see a government that cares for its people this much. By the time I joined the GA fleet, it was nearing the end and it was nothing like it's predecessors.
Seemingly once again reacquainted with the taste of the Brandy and she downed the rest of it in one go.
=Lynne= Ah- Just like Med School. Hee hee- ah... I'm sorry again. Major Tethras says I "care too much." And she may be right.

Graemon chuckles lightly as he drinks his own glass.
It's good to care, even if it is too much. Otherwise, without care, these refugees would have no hope.
The Fondorian swirls his glass for a moment before drinking some more of the brandy. It had been a long day, dealing with the security measure that he desired to see pass. It was necessary to shore up their abilities to face external and internal threats in all fields. For fleets could not defeat spies, unless those spies were killed on the very ships destroyed. It was gonna be a long few weeks.
The Galactic Alliance was the right idea, but the people cared more for their own pockets rather than uniting under the same banner. The Coalition was born on the concept of a unified government that sought to succeed where its predecessors had failed. It will take time to get everything sorted, but the Coalition is on stronger feet than the Alliance.
The Baron sets down his empty glass before looking at Lynne.
Know that if you need someone to hear your concerns, I will keep my office door open. It's good to hear the concerns of the people from those who are helping them. I may be a rough looking individual with a military background, but I care about Fondor's people. And I need to care about the Coalition's people.

Lynne sets her glass down and smiles again as she is informed of Graemon's open door policy. Looking back up at him, she brushed some of her platinum hair back out of her face.
=Lynne= Well, hopefully it wont just be the Brandy that convinces you to- um- care about us Corellians. She paused for a moment as she studied his face. And you seem to have had quite the day yourself. I know most of what you're doing is well above my pay-grade, buuuut if you ever need someone to vent to and to help you drink your Brandy, I've been told I'm a good listener... That is when I'm not giving huge speeches about refugees.

Graemon was not one to vent on other people, that was something known. He tended to vent in private or to his brother, Valerian, who was presently on Fondor, ensuring that the family's interests were protected and working with the local government on integrating with the Coalition's politics. Nonetheless, she was a doctor and certainly, her advice was good enough. The Fondorian shrugs his shoulder slightly.
I guess I should consider that as a doctor's order. I come with my problems and pay you with brandy.
Graemon lets off a very curt chuckle before proceeding to rise. Lynne had caught him just before the Fondorian planned to retire from his office and return his suite which had been offered by the Coalition government. Nothing too fancy though, but livable at least.
I once never really cared for anything beyond Fondor and the Tapani Sector, Doctor. Even when I was with the Galactic Alliance, I found it hard to not represent my system's interests and their future more so than any others... it's different now though. I probably have that Jedi, Mike Frantz, to blame.
He shakes his head, recalling the conversations with the old Jedi from Fondor.
Just means more work and less life, but its for the better of the galaxy.

Lynne continued to watch him as he moved. A very powerful man, but a man with hurts and stress like everyone else.
=Lynne= I know what you mean. I used to just be a Corellian girl, thru and thru. But after the news came about Naboo... I couldn't just sit and watch while the whole galaxy seemed to be ripping itself apart. She looked into his eye. I'm not sure if I'll be notable enough to be remembered, but I know future generations will remember your name, and thank you for helping giving this galaxy some hope, a light in the darkness. Pausing for another moment. she cracked a smile before what she hoped would be a good joke to bring the mood back up a bit. But if me saying so will get you to relax and open up every once in awhile, hell, I'll write you a prescription. Continuing as she mocked writing down on a pad, "One bottle of Brandy, and the company of friends. One dose; weekly."

Graemon offers his own smile, slight though, as it seemed hard to give a full smile. It was the discipline of his military career that was ever instilled within him. The only muscles that truly moved were that of his arms and legs, his lips... not so much. However, it was better than no smile towards Doctor Jameroo who did her best to keep the mood light and charming. The Fondorian reaches forward, snatching the unseen paper away. A good response, he felt.
Sounds more like let the Doctor drain you of funds, spending it on brandy for her.
He then reaches down, picking up a small bag and his coat. For a moment, the Fondorian looks at his desk, then at the Doctor. For a moment, the male contemplated a thought but decided against it. The Fondorian adjusts his grip upon his coat as he looks at Lynne.
I would offer you an invitation to dinner, to discuss further and more Brandy, but I am not the best of company. Rather silent around my meals, unfortunately. So wouldn't be much discussing. But I do wish to invite you back to my office tomorrow after I have spoken with the other leaders of the Coalition's member worlds. Give you the answer that the refugees are waiting for. I don't want them waiting too long... anxious people tend to cause trouble.

Lynne let out a laugh as Graemon examined the imaginary prescription. So he did have a playful side. She put on her most innocent face as the Baron accused her of being after his Brandy. But soon the topic of dinner was brought up and she couldn't help but blush.
=Lynne= Well, I suppose I should give you some time to yourself. I don't want you to get tired of seeing me. Especially if we are going to be working on this Refugee issue. But, on the other hand, I'm sure whatever dinner you were about to have will be vastly superior to the rations I've been eating lately...
Lynne didn't want to stop interacting with Graemon, but she also didn't want to smoother him and make her presence unwanted. She also really wanted non-military rations.

Against his former judgement on the matter, Graemon checks the time on his watch.
I think the Corellian establishment I go to on a regular basis should not be as crowded at this hour.
This was entirely not him, and yet, maybe this was something he wanted in his life. His brother, Valerian, was a happily married man and his charisma was much better than the stonewall personality of Graemon. The war had made hardened the Baron to a great degree. Who knew when he would get another chance like the one tonight. Graemon pulls out his wrist communicator, contacting his hovercar to come around and pick him, and his guest, up at the front.
Perhaps a drink and some food there would be a nice adjustment for the two of us. You have worked hard after all and I suspect you could use some sort of reward for your efforts. The refugees have doctors and overseers like you that make their days... much easier.
Graemon hadn't said it directly, but he had finally invited someone, other than dignitaries and government officials, to dine with him.

The smile on Lynne's face broadened as she realized that the Baron had just invited her to dinner. Nodding her head enthusiastically, she collected the datapad she had brought with her and sent a quick message to Major Tethras to not worry, she'd be later than originally planned. Moving back over to the Baron, Lynne was beaming and her eyes twinkled, not with the burning fire they had had during the talk of the refugees, but of one common to all Corellians, a yearning to see where this adventure would take her.
=Lynne= I've never been one to pass up on a well deserved reward. And I do look foreword to giving those people down in the camps some good news. But I don't want to hear anything else about work from you tonight. Doctor's orders.
She didn't plan on enforcing that rule if Graemon wanted to talk about work or past service, she just wanted to know that wasn't all she was interested in. With a gleeful grin, she waited for the Baron at the door to his office.

Graemon's eyebrow goes up slightly at the Doctor's orders.
That's as difficult as attempting to persuade Koorivar to lower the price of their wares.
The Fondorian would do his best to keep the conversation light tonight, but that may prove to be difficult. Graemon's mind was more attuned to politics and military talk more so than small talk that was shared between people having dinner. And considering his new role in the Coalition government, it would be quite the challenge. However, he just hoped he wouldn't bore Lynne at all with his topics.
However, Graemon did notice how she was beaming and certainly enthusiastic towards the prospect of dinner with him. It made him feel more confident about this choice. Which was odd considering that confidence seemed to come easy in other circumstances.
Well, let us depart. My hovercar should be waiting for us.
