Zariel paused for a moment. She knew he would find it unwise, her deal she had made with Silas. But a new idea came to her mind, she nodded to the Deputy. Yes, I had made a trip to speak to Silas. The worm has been hiding on Empress Teta. He has also seen the coming turmoil, and is clearly making his own plans, or is deeply in the pocket of one of the factions that will break out. I trust that he will be a useful ally in any moves we make against the Imperial Knights, but I want us to begin preparing for when he inevitably betrays us again. But for now his abilities with Far Sight will be helpful, so long as we are aligned. The Grand Inquisitor gave another small smile. And when all this is over, he will be dealt with once and for all. The rush she felt, thinking about finally plunging her saber into that Prophet's heart, made her eager to get underway.

The mention of the name made Saren's eyes narrow. Not that he cared about the results of the Diarchy's demise due to the failed coup nor that the Imperial blamed Silas for the destruction of his crew and ships, but because of the fact that Zariel still seemed to think he was useful. Playing with him, even temporarily, was not a game that he wanted the Grand Inquisitor to do.
You should have killed that bastard then and there, Zariel... save yourself the trouble in the future.
The words almost coming out like a growl.
Using him, even as an ally, to move against the Imperial Knights will not help us. It will only serve his agenda more and that is to have less barriers.
The Imperial was alright with Zariel, tolerant of Maxir and his cadre, but Silas? A snake was a snake and a worm was a worm. As he survived the downfall of the Diarchy, that meant that Silas had deep pockets and means. And such unseen assets would only be to their detriment. The Imperial scoffs, folding his arms over his chest.
This galaxy is too small for the both of you, Zariel. Torkan was too obvious with his threats... Silas, knowing where you are and what you are, means there is now a knife and blaster at our backs constantly. One wrong move from what he views as beneficial to his plans and we will feel it instantly.

Zariel held up a hand, indicating that Vidarr's concerns had been noted. She was not one to ignore her most trusted lieutenant's words and warnings. But there was more than Deputy Director Saren could comprehend. After all, he was sadly not gifted with the Force. Though many times Zariel was thankful for this as he would have made a formidable rival had that been so. She responded, betraying a bit more emotion than usual, which isn't a high bar.
Your concern is noted, Vidarr. But the gift of foresight with the Force is a rare gift and a useful tool if turned to one's own ends. Right now, he and I share a common rival in the Imperial Knights. As you have said, the Ren will be easy enough to deal with after the coming turmoil. But any leg up I can get on those loathsome lightsiders, I will take it. She sighed, not her usual 'bored' but a tired one. We spent decades rooting them out of the Empire, and now to see them so close to the throne... it sickens me. But you are right, the moment we are no longer useful to Silas he will betray us. So we must be ready to remove him first. I want our agents infiltrating his organization ASAP.
