I wouldn't go that far. In survival horror, you usually have the option of shooting the monster.

Think Silent Hill over Resident Evil. Shooting the monster makes it angrier. It does not necessarily put it down.

But in either scenario, you'd do well to stay away from the monster. Since you've already messed that part up, shooting it can't make things that much worse.

Yeah, the site crash gutted the player base. Further losses have been incurred since. Looks like a fair few new folks have popped up recently, though. All is not lost.
