In an out of the way, un-populated system there was an ordinary star, spectral class G2-V. Not your largest star, not the brightest, not really much of anything. There were eight planets that orbited this star but only one was in the almost magical Goldilocks zone and able to support life. However the very primitive lifeforms were oblivious to the rest of the galaxy. Closer to the star, out of the influence of the inner most planets gravitational pull was a very small object that orbited the star. It was a cuboid about two metres tall, one metre wide and about half a metre deep, this was the fate of the once might Vyzlor Harth. He had once ruled over a mighty domain but had been betrayed and exiled.
However, now, thousands of years later there was some hope for the stricken Sith, though not what anyone would expect.

After the Cycloptic Nightmare had raided the the Jedi Temple of Coruscant and recovered the "Telos Holocron" from it's jailing, his mission was clear, he would find the legendary Dark Lord of the Sith, his Eminence Vyzlor Harth, a pureblood from a time long forgotten, imprisoned by his learner, the gutless coward Mako Flox, in a carbonite coffin and placed in an undisclosed section of Wild Space, Vyzlor was only the first of many Sith Lords that ruled with absolute power and the Doctrine of Fear that the Warlord Innon'Ruuk hoped to learn more about from a very distinguished list revealed to him by the holocron.Harth, expert master of Telekinesis and others, would make a great asset to the Order of the Eye, if he even still survived in his carbonite tomb, Bacca would know soon enough as the chrono beeped that his VT-49 Decimator "Flesh" was near it's targeted area of space that the holocron displayed by it's own holographic image of star charts, the Darklord of War sat himself to the controls of his vessel as it reverted back into real space. He checked the star system against the holocron's star chart and began the search for the star that held the True Sith. Bacca turned all the ships sensors to full range and began sweeping the system to help further his search."Flesh" had been skirting the systems edge for several hours as the ships powerful onboard computer was matching up star distances to find the right star location provided by the sith artifact when it positively matched the star system with klaxons blaring about the ship, the beast from the binary star system of Byss had just finished prepping the cargo hold of his ship with a small tractor beam and magnetic shield system for the main hatch. He moved with ease to the small bridge and sat to the controls once more, he plotted the course and made the calculation for a small micro-jump deeper into the system.Several minutes later the little strike craft re-emerged, Bacca began a sweep of the planets before him, he was far from the farthest planet in the system, he increased to maximum sub-light speed and raced towards the core planets, his sensors picked up on the small energy signature of the cuboid. "So it is true", the Abyssin Lord thought as he closed in on the location, he slowed to quarter speed upon reaching the desired location, the black ingot came into view as Bacca opened the rear hatch and he guided "Flesh" to a parallel orbit, only slightly ahead, he set the auto-pilot and moved to the rear of the boat, positioning himself at the tractor beam, he powered it up and locked onto his objective, drawing it in to the cargo hold and setting it down on to a medical unit that supplied power and other devices to help keep Harth alive during the un-freezing process and his recovery afterwards, A wicked grin of shear malice intent crossed the Warlord's horrific face as he hit a button the seal the hatch and turned tractor beam off. Bacca hooked a few cables to the slab and set up the medical equipment, then stepped back and took it all in, he basked in the moment and stared at the excruciating positioning of the Sith Lord and his demonic fury'd look of hate and betrayal frozen upon him, Bacca gathered the Darkside to him and flicked the re-animation process switch with a flick of his clawed finger. It had begun.

Several Thousand Years Ago..... Vyzlor was returning to his private chambers having just eaten what would be his last meal in quite a long time. This was unknown to him at this time, an actual rarity for His Eminence. He knew that there was going to be a rebellion against his forces on two of the planets in his domain and he knew when they would occur. He knew a great many things about galactic events but he was blind to that closest to him. He had eaten alone, joined only briefly by his apprentice, Mako Flox. Flox had considerable power himself, he was by no means an acolyte, just enough to hide his intentions from the most powerful man in the galaxy.
As the Sith rounded the final corner to come face to face with his chamber doors he stumbled forward slightly, losing his footing momentarily. He paused to steady himself and he waved the index finger of his left hand to open the double doors. He thought the food must have disagreed with him, it would be a shame to have to dispose of another chef, he quite liked this one. He slowly walked inside and sat on his large double bed, his knees and hips thanking him for taking the pressure off. However he had another bad feeling just as he was closing the doors, using the index finger of his left hand again. This time it caused him to double over on his bed, the sedative that Mako had used included a small amount of blood of a very interesting lizard he had discovered, it would later be named the Ysalamiri. Vyzlor's pain was his connection to the force being weakened, the force had extended his life almost beyond the naturally long lifespans of the Sith Species. The ruler of a thousand worlds grimaced in pain as he slipped into unconsciousness. Mako did not have the guts to stand before his Master as his plan came into effect, he only entered after he knew the deed was done.Present Day. The cuboid of carbonite hissed and began to glow as the unfreezing process began. There was no way of knowing if the Sith, encased within, would survive. There was no recorded carbonite freezing of a sentient being that had lasted even half of the length of Vyzlor's imprisonment. Light began to shine from the extreme's of his face, the now uncovered parts of his nose and ears that were exposed to the real world once again. It began slowly with small sections but soon the carbonite retreated from his red face, the sound of the unfreezing process gradually fading out and being replaced with a guttural groan of pain.".....aaaaaaAAAAAHHHHH. Mako, you slimy.... what is this?"Vyzlor turned his head slowly to look around the room. He recognized it as a ship of some kind, he had traveled in enough in his time. However he did not recognise the style, or the incredibly large being who was stood close by. There was one thing he did recognise though, the stench of the Dark Side of the Force, the ship was swimming in it. The old Sith was still feeling the effects of his apprentices poison, even after thousands of years, and it weakened his own Force abilities, not to mention his physical state. He remained still, laying in the imprint of himself in the carbonite, his whole body ached like never before. He was in no state to fight so he must gather information and bend the situation to his advantage, he tried to turn his head to face Lord Bacca as best he could."It is strange that I do not recognise you or this ship. Tell me, do you work for my apprentice or is there something more going on here?"His question was very presumptuous. He presumed that this being knew who he was and who his apprentice was. This was not too much of a stretch though, the being was strong with the Dark Side of the Force and he had freed Vyzlor from his eternal prison.

*Dreams plagued her.
The stench of blood coated her senses, influencing the path that her thoughts took her. She could not wake from them. Such violent images, flashing so quickly that they were gone before her mind could fully process what she had seen. But there was one face that appeared frequently enough that she could hold onto him, grip him tightly and seek truth from his eyes, liquid pools of brown. Full of depth, far too much knowledge, far too many secrets.*
"Seros..."
*She whimpered in her sleep, curling up tightly against the sticky floor as she hugged her knees. She had only known him for a brief time that could be counted in days, but they were connected on a powerful level, in a way that she failed to understand. The Force kept pushing him onto her, then something else would pull her forcefully away. It felt as though she were being ripped in two. In her dream state, Seros gently took her chin between his thumb and forefinger and stared down at her. In disappointment. In judgment.
You are a failure.
But he did not speak those words in his own voice. Another voice spoke with his lips and tongue. It hissed and graveled, and chilled her to her core. The Master she had denied. The Sith she despised and wanted nothing to do with, and yet, hearing those words was no less painful than if it had been someone she loved. Such a fine line between them. These two men with nothing in common, and yet...they shared the same voice, the same face. Even now, as the figure turned away from her, his face was no longer Seros, but cast in the shadow of his hood, eyes turning black. Everything turning black.
Until she was alone. Terrifyingly alone. She could sense no other presence, no warmth, no one to find and no where to go. Hers was the only heartbeat in the vast darkness of space. This was where the Dark Side pulsed.
Her eyes shot open with a scream lodged in her throat. No...NO! Fight it, this despair was an unnatural thing, and would drown her identity. Who she was. This was not who she was. She had to clear her mind of thoughts of Seros and unnamed Sith, return to a state of peace and focus. Figure out how to survive.
...Where was she?
Lights flickered, retained by auxillery power only. Distant stars were still through the viewport. The small vessel was adrift. She touched her cheek, where the sticky substance from the floor had been transferred to her skin and hair. She followed the dark pool to its source. The crew of the ship. Former crew. Trandoshans, their scaled flesh impaled by crude instruments, rebar ripped from the hull of the ship, bars from her cage, shackles coiled around their necks to snap around them in what should have defied the laws of physics. Kaali choked in horror, skittering backwards away from the bodies. Her silver eyes scanned the rest of the ship, avoiding the gruesome deaths so close to where she had slept.
Empty cages surrounded her. Slavers. But whatever became of the other slaves, Kaali didn't know. She couldn't remember. She couldn't remember anything of what happened after the Dark Rage had taken over her mind. She forced herself to stand on unsteady legs and to approach the control panel of the cockpit, avoiding staring into the sightless beady eyes of the reptilian navigator, and access the status screen.
There had been an explosion which had taken out much of the power to the engines. Her eyes closed briefly, recalling a bright light, a flash of heat. Combustion. She had been completely out of control. If in her fugue state she had used Destruction, instead, there likely wouldn't have even been a ship left. Her eyes opened and focused on what she did have. Just enough power for basic life support. Nothing left for the engines, not even a small booster to point her in the right direction.
She was adrift.*

*Off in the distance, the light's and engines of the Delmorak just seemed like the far off twinkle of stars. The Ardent class fast frigate had spent about a week in the system searching for exactly what Kaali found herself on, slaver ships. The crew had the trandoshan ship in their scopes and knew what they had to do, despite the commanding officer not being on the bridge.
Meanwhile, Zik was in the captains quarters meditating. He had been leading the crew after slavers for months, and while the work was tough, and they were in space a lot, it was a satisfying job. As the Delmorak moved into position to dock with the slaver ship, Zik did not even need to be buzzed. Feeling a single presence on the ship, Zik's curiosity piqued. He slid his mask over his face and fastened it before grabbing his sword and moving to the docking tube.
What is it were are about to find...Something about this feels off, but...
*As the large ship pulled along side the slaver ship, and the docking tube extended, Kaali would have no trouble seeing the much larger ship in the view ports now. On the tube, Zik stood alone, sword clasped tightly in a plate covered robotic hand. The odd feeling he got from this ship compelled him to leave the men who usually came with him to stay behind.
There was a darkness there, the feeling of despair was thick as the smell of blood that began to fill the tube as the door opened. Zik stepped on to the ship, the smell having no effect on the former slave, gone sith, gone jedi, gone freelance. He kept his sword pointed to the ground, following the way the Force tugged him.*
Hello? Is anyone aboard?

*The stars began to blur in her vision, the lenses of her eyes beginning to dry because of the several long minutes she had been staring, unblinking, out into the cold silence of space. A cold that was beginning to penetrate the walls of this small vessel despite the minimal power to the life support system. Or perhaps the cold was inside of her, and seeping out from her skin to chill the air itself.
The stars moved.
She blinked.
A trick of the eye? She took a breath. No, not stars. A ship. Fast moving. How had she not sensed it...? Of course, she knew exactly why. Even above her need for self-preservation had been the need to seek out the Loronar, to find Seros Darklighter's presence at an impossible distance. If she were to be honest with herself, that had been what she had been looking for, rather than for a way out of this deathtrap. Now, it seemed, she would not have to. This new, unknown ship was not making it any secret that it was headed for these coordinates. Which could only mean it had been tracking it.
Another Trandoshan vessel? Part of a slave caravan? Her eyes narrowed. Unlikely. Trandoshans tended to travel alone, they did not work well with others, not even with members of their own kind. A competitor then? Safest to assume that whatever it was, it would be hostile. She pushed away from the console. Somewhere on this ship, her blades would still be kept.
Clenching her teeth against the rise of bile in her throat, she searched the rendered bodies. Nothing. The tiny cargo space was entirely made of cages, and hidden crevices kept what little food and water storages there were. How did the Trandoshans travel so far without supplies-
She stumbled, clutching her stomach and nearly doubling over. The other slaves. The empty cages. Slaves were both merchandise and a food source. What a vile thought. She found her personal effects in a non-descript overhead locker, tossed in with other bits of jewelry or weapons that might be used for quick-trade. Kaali was securing her weapons belt around her hip just as the ship shuddered with a deep, reverberating pound of metal against metal. She could see through the port that the frigate had moved to line up with the far smaller HWK-290 light freighter with the casual grace and dexterity that could only be a result of having been piloted this way a thousand times before. The frigate's hull swallowed the view of the stars beyond.
Kaali made no move towards the cargo bay where she could hear as much as feel the vibration of the docking tube securing to the transport's dorsal airlock. Rather, she took a tentative step back, pressed against the rear of the co-pilot's seat with her fingers slowly curling around the tonfa-hilts of her inert weapons. But she did not once more fall into that fugue state, that blind fury which drove her to commit the most atrocious of acts, and leaving her with no memory of it afterwards. No, that darkness in her remained quiet, as though mollified, its appetite sated. Kaali was in control of her own mind, for the moment.*...! *Her brows lifted. That was an odd sort of way to announce one's presence in a hostile boarding. But then, she was not about to so naively lower her guard without understanding the situation.
A lithe figure emerged from the bay alone, features concealed behind a mask, and standing opposite of her down the narrow corridor as the stared at one another. His weapon was in his hand, the finely-made sword was lowered defensively. Oh but how familiar Kaali was with martial stances. He could easily turn his body a half-inch, and with the speed of a serpent's strike change that defensive posture into an offensive one.
Kaali, herself, was unaware of how aggressive her own appearance was. Amidst the bodies of the slain, with one side of her colorless face and hair stained an ugly crimson by drying blood, she was positioned much like a cornered and feral animal. Her posture was tense with her hands on her weapons, a distrustful look in her eyes, and the muscles of her jaw working just slightly. It was not so very long ago that, given an identical situation, this same Echani might have greeted the stranger with a cocky grin and a confident, "Wha' took you so long, boyo?" Ah, how different this Kaali appeared, now. Her voice was quiet when she at last spoke in answer to his question.*"I am. I am all that is left. But yer sensors would have told y'that, already."

The ships sensor's did, yes. But the Force is around this ship...
*Zik's tone was almost flat, seemingly not entirely convinced that no one else was on the ship but them. As silver eye's moved across the room, he pieced together what had happened. The two silver orbs fell back on Kaali and studied he features. The pale skin, the glinting silvery eyes and matted white hair clinging to her head with blood. He reached up with his left hand and pulled his hood back and took his mask off. Zik's sharp features didn't seem so now, his lips curled into a soft smile, happy that even if he was only able to save one person from this ship, it was another of his kind.*
Are you able to walk? We can get you checked out when we get back to my ship, but right now, I don't think it's safe here.
*He didn't say why he felt it was not safe, though the blinking light over the button for the distress beacon might have had something to do with it. Zik stepped to the side, waving her along towards the airlock so that they could start getting off the ship. At the other end of the docking tube, two men stood with their rifles up until they saw Zik step into view without looking like he had been fighting.*

"This ship is not the only thing the Force surrounds..." *Her words trailed off, almost as though she were distracted. She had only just realized she was confronting another Force-sensitive at the same moment that she was speaking the words. Her eyes began to lose focus. Her mind drifted, much as the distressed ship they were aboard did. Another time, another place, words that whispered in conflict with each other-
White hair. Alabaster skin. Silver eyes.*"Eh-Cha-Knee." *In her surprise, the word slipped from her tongue before she could draw it back, her slanted eyes turning round as the figure revealed his face to her, smiling as though they were old comrades rather than strangers to each other that happened to share the same race. It's not as though they were uncommon, but it had been so many years since she had laid eyes on her home planet, and the last time she had seen one of her own kind, it had been fleeting, and under the worst of circumstances. There had certainly been no smiles from the unusually dark-skinned Echani that day.*Are you able to walk? We can get you checked out when we get back to my ship, but right now, I don't think it's safe here. *Her gaze sharpened back to clarity, her mind once more in the present. Kaali pushed her shoulders back and straightened, her hands falling an inch away from the weapons at her hips.*"I can walk. Mostly uninjured. I was afflicted with some sort of blunt force trauma to the back of my neck before I was brought on board, but should not require any treatment." *The brogue lilt to her voice from the region of her birthplace had, quite suddenly, faded. Despite her reservations, she followed without objection. After all, this was progress. Moving from an inoperable vessel to a mobile one. Being stagnant would not help her situation any, regardless of the intents of this Force user.
The lights flickered once more over their heads, eerily lighting up the bloodstained walls and Echani like something out of a horror-holo. Many parts of the hull were charred and still reeked of smoke, or even rips in the metal supports by some inhuman strength. It was all the more disturbing to Kaali knowing this was her doing, and not recalling the memory of it.
It was a relief to step into the docking tube, giving her the surreal experience akin to waking from a nightmare into stark reality. The terrible way in which she had ended the lives of the Trandoshans seemed to no longer be an act she had committed, but rather the distant awareness of something someone else had done, far away, long ago.
Even as she spoke to the Echani male, her eyes were on the two men armed with rifles.*"So, who are you? And for what reason were you following a Trandoshan ship? I assume from your lack of dismay, they weren't exactly friends of yours."

Whether you feel fine now or not, it is best to play it safe just in case something got knocked loose.
*That last bit carried a cold feel to it, which may explain why he was a former Jedi Knight. It was evident that somewhere down the line, the Echani man had been hurt by slavers. His no nonsense attitude was only offset by his slow stride, allowing her to adjust to the brighter, cleaner, and likely noisier environment of a military ship. This had been his world for almost the past year, sleek, well timed military precision. A small personnel repulsor tram slowed to a stop in front of them as they stepped from the docking tube.*
The simple answer is Zik Kine. I used to be a Jedi knight. As for the trandoshans...You think you are the only one who wants to see slavers burn?
*Once they had both sat down on the tram, she would finally get a decent view of him. His face, while still fairly young, carried years of experience mixed with a deep mix of pain and suffering. Not all scar were carried on the skin, and Zik was a clear example of it. Though in the short time they had been in each others presence, Zik showed no unstable elements to his personality.
He stayed quiet as the small tram took them through the ship. Seeing another Echani brought up a lot for Zik, since aside from his sister, and Kaali, the only other Echani he'd seen in his life had been slaves. Zik had never made a trip to Eshan, as he was never sure what his reception would be like. Never made memories for his people beyond a whip and chains. This led to zik's lack of any sort of cultural connection or greeting with Kaali.*
Uhm...Sorry if I missed anything. I wasn't raised on Eshan or anything...so I don't know if there was any sort of cultural greeting I missed...
*Why on earth was he apologizing? Surely all Kaali cared about was the fact that she was no longer adrift in the horror show of a ship. This man was clearly an odd one, though so far he would not to be so in an bad way. As the tram slowed to a stop, Zik slid the door to the med-bay open, and just inside a doctor stood and waited for them. As the doctor took over, Zik took a seat and waited, joined by a man whose name tag simply read "Bismark".*
-Bismark- She's all that was left, huh?
Far as I or the sensors could tell...Looks like she killed the crew. No trace of the others...
-Bismark- And how are you, Zik? You haven't see,ed to enthusiastic lately.
Nothing to be so about I guess? It's too often that we aren't able to get more then a few of these people away from slavers...We need to be doing better. I need to do better...
-Bismark- Zik...Look, this isn't the Jedi anymore. This isn't Honoghr. You are out here saving people from a life of misery by take them back from slavers and putting an end to slave operations while two of the largest groups in the galaxy focus more on fighting each other. You are doing the right thing, and don't you forget that.
*Zik was quiet for a moment, then he and Bismark exchanged a nod and the older human walked off, leaving Zik to think and finish waiting for Kaali's check up to end.*

*The non-verbal communication ran far deeper than the few scattering of words that were traded between them, but this 'Zik Kine' did not seem to be fully aware of it. She had guessed before he had said anything that his upbringing had not been anything typical of their own kind, just by the means in which he was appraising her.
That they were appraising one another. Exchanging brief glances, studying the face, the body language, and listening intently to the inflections of one's voice were just the preliminary steps of an Echani dance to learn what the other was all about; and should enough trust build between them, those steps would eventually lead to weaponless combat, so that they might peer into the very depths of their souls.
But the fact that Zik Kine felt the need to explain himself through words told her this was not a language he was familiar with. Kaali's eyes closed briefly against the burn in her chest. Seros was intimately familiar with Echani combat, perhaps even more so than she herself was. His body had told her more about him than his voice ever did...of him, and his feelings, which had ever been more cautious than her own. He held back, and in the brazenness of her naivete, she had not.
Her expression faltered, a pale hand fisting against her throat until the burn subsided. She did not care for the path in which these thoughts took, and she quickly turned her mind away from them, avoiding the pain in her heart. Instead, she turned her focus back to the present, to the Echani male. There was pain of his past etched on his colorless features, as well. Caused by her presence? When two Echani met in the wilds of space, it always brought up memories of the past. A hint of sympathy laced her words.*
"...You missed nothing of importance. Actually...I think we got it right, somehow."
*That one moment of familiarity, a flicker of Jedi light struggling against the weight of selfishness, passed the moment the tram slowed to a jarring stop, with a groan of metal and decompression of air, and one more hiss as the door slid open to reveal the medical facility on board.
With her expression once more returned to tense suspicion that was both accustomed to her face and rested unnaturally on her youthful features, Kaali disembarked from the tram and allowed the medical professional to inquire about her as though she were not consciously aware of them. No matter. It gave her a chance to take in her surroundings. The size of the brightly-lit bay gave her a rough idea of the size of the ship she was on. Much larger than what she was accustomed to, had to be over 1,000 crew members. She brushed her fingers across the etching of one of the metal plates identifying the ship. Delmorak.
Her head tilted slightly, glancing subtly over her shoulder as the ship's doctor steered her towards the examination room. Another crew member was joining Zik, his expression and words somber. But she did not have the chance to listen to the words exchanged before she was ushered behind a closed door.
The doctor had kind, brown eyes with a gentle smile that was freely given and a youthfulness to him that belied the things his prematurely aged gaze had seen. He attempted to engage her in conversation as the medical droid cleaned the blood from her hair and skin with a sonic device and methodically removed the layers of her robes from her upper torso, but her mind was too far away. Dangerously distracted.*
-Doctor Anth- "You're a long way from home, hm? Lucky we found you when we did."
"Mm."
-Doctor Anth- "...Got a nasty blow on your head, here. Slavers do that to you?"
"Ah."
*She did not see his lips perse as he carefully tilted her head forward so that he could examine the back of her neck, clearing the silver hair away from the dried wound.*
-Doctor Anth- "You are one of the mysterious Jedi? Your attire and weapons give you away."
"Mm."
-Doctor Anth- "...Alright, I understand. Plenty of time for questions, later. Can I at least ask for your name?"
*She blinked. She hadn't even realized he'd been trying to garner information. Why could she not get her mind off of Seros Darklighter long enough to assess the danger of her own situation? She scowled in embarrassment.*
"Kaali. Kaali Xsato."
-Doctor Anth- "Well, Kaali, I don't see anything serious. This appears to be your only injury, despite the blood covering you from head to toe. I'll give you something for the pain and swelling, but otherwise you're free to go. Don't worry, my dear, you're in a safe place. Zik is the best man I know."
*Kaali did not say anything more, simply shrugging back into her clothing to cover her skin. She was given a single injection of bacta to speed the healing and reduce the swelling, then discharged. She was forced to leave her outer robes behind to be disposed of as biowaste due to the Trandoshan blood, and was left with her undertunic and slacks. No one had yet asked for her to remove her weapons, so she kept her hands defensively close to her hips as she left the examination room and rejoined Zik, who was now sitting on his own.*
"Alright. So, I will admit I might have been in serious trouble if your ship had not happened along, so I owe you for that but I haven't anything to give. My own personal ship was left behind on Skip One, but I'm guessing by now it's been taken and stripped for parts, since I didn't exactly leave a deposit to park it for a couple of days. I was in the middle of my own chase before the slavers ripped me from it, and I'm not sure exactly where to go to pick up the trail I lost. So I suppose you can feel free to drop me off at whatever waypoint you like."

*Zik had seemed lost in thought when Kaali approached, Bismark's words weighing heavy on him. Was he doing the right thing? For the time being, the crew seemed to follow Zik without question. Many of them had been soldiers that worked with him during his time with the Jedi on Honoghr. But even with their help, it never seemed to be enough. After all that bravado in his final message to the jedi, Zik didn't feel like he was backing it up. When Kaali's words hit his ears, the haze in his eyes began to lift. He reached into a pouch and pulled out a pack. He slid out what looked like a cigarette, popped it in his mouth, and used an arc of lightning from the tip of his left index finger to light it. A pungent smell filled the air between them as he took a long drag and exhaled.*
Doctor's done with you that quick huh? Look, you don't have to admit anything to me, and you don't owe me anything either. *With the metal claws of his right hand, he pulled his tunic open enough for her to see some of the scars on his chest.* I know the life you were almost dragged into all too well. After I got free, I did a lot of bad, to a lot of good people. I left that life for the jedi, and thought I could do some good to make up for it, but... *Zik took another drag and let it all out with a deep sigh.* The war brewing with them and the mando's is pointless. The mandalorians hate Force users for all the wars that have been caused over our beliefs, but they failed to see the lesson they were taught. Every time they raise up arms against the galaxy, they upset the balance and do more harm then good... *He took another drag, not realizing that he was rambling his way off topic.* The last time the waged a war so ambitiously, they suffered a defeat they never recovered from. Their culture still bears the scars of Revan's hand, and they took nothing away from it. They are like children...
*As he spoke, the haze began to fill his eyes again. Why was he telling her all of this? His eyes didn't even look at her, staying pointed towards the ground as if he were a child who knew he had done wrong. His voice came across as almost a whisper, soft and light, but full of feeling. He reached for his mask and slid it back over his face before putting out what was left of his joint and putting it back in a pouch.*
The Jedi are no better then the mandalorians right now though. Every time a threat arises, they loose sight of the rest of the galaxy. Things like organized crime and slavery are aided by this. In history, it has always happened this way. During Revan's war on the Jedi, the Exchange rose to power. After them came the Black Sun during the Cold War. Even in the aftermath of the Battle of Yavin, The Zann Consortium gained mass following and power. Neither side sees the real damage they cause...And for now, that is why I am out here...We may not be able to do much, but if we can keep at least a bit in check, then the galaxy will be better off for it...
*There was another heavy sigh from Zik as he pushed himself out of his seat and brought his eyes to meet hers finally. There was the fain shimmering of fought back tears under the rim of both eye slits in the faceless mask that he wore. He had not even asked for her name, but Zik had known he did not want this woman to see his face like that. Sometimes it was just too hard to let anyone see. That was always an explanation his master had given him some years ago.*
Sorry about rambling...Don't feel like you need to leave now that your free again. For one, I am sure it would be much wiser to rest first before ripping off across the galaxy on a search. And I'm not just going to leave you any old place like a caught stow away. Let me know where and when you need to be, and I will see that we get you there safe and sound. And in the mean time, I might be able to offer you information to aid your search...

*At first, as Zik spoke, Kaali's chin turned just slightly, skepticism and dismissiveness evident in the set of her jaw. He had sensed the bitterness in her that she had not bothered to hide upon their meeting, as it was far too late by then. But what was the point of his little show with the Dark Side energy from his fingertip, and his own disapproval of Jedi wars and pursuits? Trying to gain common ground with her? But to what end?
...No. No, that wasn't it. Her face turned back towards his as he spoke. This was not about her. This was about him. She could feel the heavyness in his chest, a weight at least as burdensome as her own, and there were not likely many that could understand it to the same level another Force User could. He gave her a glimpse of who he was simply because he needed to speak of it. That she was the recipient of it was only because her presence was what reminded him of himself.
He broke eye-contact with her, but she maintained her gaze, the harsh silver softening with a light of fascination. As he spoke ill of the Jedi, her stomach twisted. She wanted to defend their actions. The Jedi were few in number, and stretched far too thin across the galaxy. Of course a threat on the scale that the Mandalorians impose would take up all of their attention. And they were suffering, not just for themselves but for every life they could not save while trapped in a confrontation they did not want.
And it was men like Zik Kine that helped the Jedi the most. To do what they were not able to. The Order was not perfect. But it was not blind to the sufferings of the galaxy when they failed to be there. And their absence was felt. Kaali's brows lifted. It was the first time she had known anything other than foul resentment towards them since her year-long fall.
Her hand started to lift towards him, but she quickly retracted it as he stood, and by the time his eyes met hers, she was alabaster marble once more, a figure made of cracked stone. His last statement had all thoughts of Jedi and wars and scarred pasts dissolving, leaving behind one focal point. He might be able to aid her.
He didn't even know what she was searching for. How could he aid her? And what would he expect in return?
That didn't matter. It was an opportunity she would not turn away from.*
"...Thank you. I will accept your offer. When I find out where I need to go..."
*Her eyes shifted, somehow, unerringly in the direction she had last known the Loronar to be.*
"...you'll be the second to know."

*To her acceptance, Zik merely nodded quietly, though his eyes lingered on her. He seemed to be searching for something within her. While the best way for Echani to learn from one another was through dueling, but even that could not tell one everything. Zik had sensed her feeling of despair even before he had stepped on the slavers ship. What was it she was chasing after? Was there some one, or was she chasing answers for questions she kept locked away?*
What is it that you are seeking? If it is a person, I know information brokers that can point you in the right direction...But if you seek yourself, all I can offer is what little wisdom I have. I have walked both sides of the force and found solace in neither alone. I realize that not many think the way I do, but that doesn't matter to me. The naivety of the Jedi boggles my mind, but the Sith's blatant disregard for life and the basic dignities that all living creatures deserve... Haha, I guess I would be just as mind boggling to the rest of the universe...
*Zik was unsure what else he could say until Kaali answered him. Even if she chose not to answer him at this time, something about her eyes told him that she would. And if it came to that day, where they put the Force aside and embraced their culture in a duel, he would allow her to see what he was not telling her either. Under his mask, his lips curled into a light smile, his mind reaching out to that of one of his men, Qarl, another Force sensitive, though not on the same level as Zik and Kaali.*
Qarl, ready one of the empty officers quarters. I want it ready in the next two hours. Also, tell Captain Marvell to move the ship away from the slaver ship and wait a few hours to see if any kind of rescue team comes for it.

DIVA's HORROR RP; The Uya; Shuttle on approach
Deep in the far reaches of space, far from any well known hyperlanes, rests a massive ship. Nearly eight kilometres long, the ship is one of a kind. It is also not responding to communications. MandalMine Collective, the company that owns the ship has sent a small shuttle to the ship to investigate & regain control if needed. On board the shuttle is a single fireteam of SS Operatives, their hulking, glossy black armour sending chills down the spines of the others on board that knew of the reputation surrounding the elite class of warriors. The whispers of emotionless brutes willing to do anything to complete their mission had already spread to most that worked closely with the large company.
The fireteam that was on board the shuttle had just recently been through "decom". A rigorous & brutal examination that was designed to stripped away nearly every shred of uniqueness, leaving only an emotionless killing machine devoted solely to the company. It would likely be several months before the fireteam went through the process again.
Within a few more minutes, the shuttle would land. As of yet, the larger ship had not reacted in any way to the small shuttle & its twenty passengers.

Corporal Tim Dreadson was a veteran merc and expert scout. He had spent most of his life in some kind of military service first with Republic Marine Corps and later as a freelance contractor. He had seen much is short 30 years, things that would drive a lesser man mad. As the shuttle made it's final approach he triple checked is A280 Heavy Blaster Rifle, DL44 Pistol. He doubted they would be needed, much like he doubted the SS Ops would serve much use. From his window he could see no signs of attack on the massive vessel, no carbon scoring, nothing. His guess was a simple power failure, nothing more.

*The Man sitting next to Octavious was a scout and a merc. Octavious was just a scout under orders from his group to find out what in the name of harmony went on out here. Something Evil pulsed and it was brought to the attention of the Jedi as they were fighting a war. Which meant this was serious. Whether or not the others were aware of it. Octavious could feel it. Being a Miraluka, he had Force sight. With the additional ability of psychometry, this made him a excellent scout with the force. He would get to the bottom of this and find out what was causing this pulse. Octavious shifts in his seat as they approach the vessel. He could barely sense anything other than the pulsing evil which made him uneasy.*

DIVA's HORROR RP; The Uya; Cryobays
I awaken so suddenly that I flinch, and my elbow knocks against something solid. I blink and rub my eyes, but it doesn't help: I'm in complete darkness. I have no idea where I am, and my pulse quickens.
Then, there is light. Faint at first and growing gradually, a soft yellow glow illuminates the white plasteel walls on either side of me. Barely fifteen centimeters from my face is another wall. It is like a coffin, or perhaps--of course, a CryoPod. I raise my right hand slightly and see the wires and tubing attached to it, and it all comes back to me. The agents, the show trial, the ship, the CryoPod. Relief washes over me as I remember the meeting shortly before my arrest, when the Executive Board and I contracted those mercenaries to break me out of custody should the worst happen. This must mean they're here.
With a hiss of escaping air and the light whine of servos, the lid of my pod lifts and slides back. The bay is dark, and I wonder if the mercenary team managed to cut the power somehow. Carefully, I sit up and look around. I can't see much by the dim lights inside my pod. I remove the various wires and tubes from my hands and arms and stand up very slowly, gritting my teeth against the dizziness and nausea that usually follows Cryosleep.
The first thing I notice as my bare feet hit the metal floor of the bay is how cold it is in here, and I'm keenly aware of how inadequate these leotards they gave us before putting us in Cryo are for insulation purposes. Shivering, I peer through the darkness, looking for signs of my rescuers. Nothing, except for the red emergency lights placed along the walls at intervals of several meters.
"Hello?" My voice cracks, weak from what has to be at least a couple standard days of disuse. No answer. I start to feel the early rumblings of dread, but I push them aside. No reason to be concerned yet. Standing upright is still a bit of a chore, so I lean against my pod as I look around at the others nearby to see whether mine was the only one that opened.

Hours passed.
Fel stirred. Once, twice. Dreaming. Terrible images filled his mind, distorted truths, exaggerated fears, and in his mind he fought them off, bared his teeth and tore at the images bearing down on him. Inside the Kolto tank, this was manifest as alterations in heart-rate and brain activity.
But over the minutes that followed, an arm twitched, then the other. Intake of O2 increased, and Galdaart Fel opened his eyes.
There was momentary panic, as was customary for a subject who awoke in a Bacta-style container. The body isn't accustomed to a loss of consciousness while submerged -- it ran counter to every instinct, and for a moment, he thrashed under the viscous fluid, until his logical mind was able to step in and take control of his faculties. Even so, there was panic in Fel's mind as he assumed the substance was Bacta. Why was he not dead? Then the memories flooded back to him, even as his eyes fought to focus in the fluid.
The 'Run. That man, with the IR symbol on his jacket. Darkwell. Where was he? Looking about from within the tank, he couldn't be certain, but this was some sort of cargo bay. Corellian, maybe? Not an IR vessel. Darkwell's transport. In motion? He couldn't tell. How long had he been out? Hours? Days? In a Bacta tank... he was injured? His prior conversations in the Red Shift were fuzzy, numbed by the alcohol and unconsciousness, but he remembered running...
Fel attempted to move, pushing off from the cylindrical tank housing, and a bolt of pain registered in his shoulder. Amidst the tubing and the rebreather fixed to his face, he painfully craned his neck around to look at the damage, and saw the new, pink tissue, not yet fully formed, almost translucent, covering a third of his shoulder blade, the new tissue and musculature a marked contrast to the darkened edges of the old, puckered skin around the wound, hairless and covered by ruined tattoos and old hypertrophic scar tissue from the crash on Dantooine. He retched inside his rebreather, controlled his breathing, and refocused on the area outside the tank.
There was no sign of his equipment or clothing. He pushed off the bottom of the tank once more, and came in contact with the lid, grabbing at the pressure seal handle there. It wouldn't budge. No doubt locked from the outside. And even if it weren't, he couldn't apply any real torque to the handle from inside.
Sore now from the exertion, Fel allowed himself to be held in suspension once more, and concentrated on his breathing. He'd need his strength for later...

Diva's Horror RP: The Uya; Cryobays.
Cold. Sterile. Confined.
The stink of cry-fliuds and ozone filled the nostrils of the dimly lit figure within the thawing pod. He knew where he was, the scent of his confinement causing him to snarl in anger, as he disconnected himself from his coffin's tubes and plugs he recalled his capture on Coruscant. How did they find him? Was his target silenced? Where were they taking him now? He let out a huff and pushed the wonderings of who and how aside, placing his palms against the rear of the pod and closing his eyes for a moment in concentration.
"Ssstopp'd..." The figure growled in a low rumble, feeling the thrum of idling engines reverberating through the decks. His eyes had adjusted to the darkness of his cryo-tomb and he reached up for the manual release for the pod, but nothing happened. "Too easy..." He said to himself with the closest thing his face could pass as a smirk, before bracing his clawed feet against the pod's door. With a grunt of exertion and the aid of his muscular arms pushing against the back of the pod, the door started to buckle. It only took several forceful kicks for the door to lose its threading and seal, letting the pressurized air within his cell hiss out.
The fresh air greedily rushed in and the figure took a long breath through his nostrils, tasting the air beyond. "Female." He said to himself, as he pushed the door aside completely and stepped out onto the cold durasteel floor in front of his pod. The loin-clothed Noghri stretched his cramped muscles, letting out audible cracks and pops as his taut muscles bristled with renewed use. He cast his dark eyed gaze around, seeing a shivering woman on the bay floor several pods away from him.
With purposeful steps he advanced towards the shivering woman, his clawed fingers flexed and twiddled in anticipation of having to use his lethal implements. "You prissoner?" He asked in a low growl, as he crouched down several feet from her. "ANSS'ER!" He barked, not having the self-control to wait for a reply.
