*Several days later the droids have finished building the prefabricated structure. They had spent the next day or so unloading the various crates (mostly liquor) and setting up their new domicile. The prefabricated structure had three basic levels, the first the bar/lounge, the second the series of smaller rooms/barracks, and the third the tiny communication center. Dominicka had spent several hours reconnecting the terminal. It’s not the greatest signal in the Galaxy but at least they had full Holonet access now. The first time he had booted up the machine endless waves of music from across the Galaxy had assailed him, and everyone in fifty kilometers. THAT took a while to fix but thankfully it hadn’t burnt out the system.*
*Besides spending time with the family he had sent out several Holo messages across the Galaxy. All had the same similar message: stop on by for a drink for old times sake. He was feeling his age. So many of his old command had long gone, either dead or disappeared. So many friends and comrades over the year. It would be just nice to see them again, catch up for old times sake.*
*what’s even weirder, he thought to himself as he fiddled with a couple more settings, is that no one from the Ascendancy had stopped by. Twenty years ago when he had done this the infamous Lord Borossna had shown up himself within 24 hours and a CEDF fleet within 48. It’s not like they were trying to hide, they had nothing to hide. They hadn’t been apart of Ascendancy politics in over a decade, they held no military ranks or titles, and technically while they might have had a ranking in their family… they might have been as good as exiled. *
*He doesn’t know why he even came back. Sure Csilla was the ancestral home of the Chiss species but despite being born here he spent most of his life thruout the Galaxy. A soldier first and foremost, first with Grand Admiral Mitth’raw’nuroudo (or Thrawn known the the greater Galaxy at whole), then in exile, then with the CEDF, then in exile once again. Despite being a full fledged Jedi Master he didn’t subscribe to the tenants of the ‘normal’ Jedi Orders. Faith was never really a thing of his, his wife being another story. But something called him here, subconsciously o otherwise, and since he had nothing better to do perhaps a bit of faith could work*

‘So why back here after a decade’ Adams asks his son in law. Dominicka hadn’t talked much about it only that his family meet him there. He hadn’t asked about his other daughter, or the CEDFIE or anything else really, just the old freighter on Bothawui.
‘I honestly don’t know, I thought I was done with this place. After that last battle… all the losses, all of the deaths, friends lost… I don’t know I guess I just lost the will. Didn’t matter what the title I had was, we had lost.’
‘But why now then? What changed?’ He asks as he pours a nice Corellian whiskey into two glasses.
‘After that day I had thought of vengeance. There was a man I had heard about, a top notch mercenary who specialized in recruiting only the best for your money. He had a radical plan and I was prepared to give him the go ahead to burn everything. Consider that… burn it all.’
Adams is shocked, he’s never heard this before.
‘Perhaps I was driven to what they’d call the Dark Side, I’m not sure. The man claimed he could raise an army, blot out the skies of Csilla, and accomplish any objective I gave him. But …’
‘But what?’
‘I don’t know. I’d like to say it was the thought of your daughter that stopped me, what she’d think of what I was going to do. Plenty of the others wouldn’t have cared, they wanted vengeance too.’
Adams stays silent. His daughter probably would have had to fight him. He couldn’t think of the chaos that would have caused, the whole Ascendancy would have split into warring factions.
‘But I didn’t. I’m don’t know. Instead of giving the money to the mercenary I gave it back to the Ascendancy. A few thousand donated here, a few million for a new hospital… I have almost all of it away. Had one of Captain Orika’s slicer geniuses calculate the amount we could live on for twenty odd years and set that aside for everyone remaining… the rest…’

‘So then what’s the plan now. Clearly it’s no longer vengeance, but do you honestly think sitting around in a bar for the next twenty years is a good plan?’
*Dominicka laughs*
’ I mean if I wanted to open a bar I probably would have done it somewhere more civilized. No, I made some calls to old friends and acquaintances to stop by for a drink first. See the state of the greater Galaxy. Then who knows: the Force works in mysterious ways, who knows.’
’Do you want to be a Syndic or Aristocra again? A General, Admiral, Grand Master of the Order?’ Adams asks*
’I honestly couldn’t reply you. Maybe later this week we’ll take a trip to the capital and see the state of affairs. Maybe raise a small militia or House fleet. A couple Corvettes with a Destroyer or Cruiser just to keep the place safe.’

*Theirs a ping on the station that shows a ship descending towards their position*
‘Well it looks like the first guest has arrived. Time to bundle up and head outside’ Dominicka says grabbing his helmet and his cloak. Adams politely declined and heads to the other room*
*Dominicka moves towards the landing ‘platform’ ready to receive guests*

*the singular fondor haulcraft swooped and circled its way down through the Csillan atmosphere, the pilot just smoothly flowing with the various changes in air pressure and wind currents as he passed through them. his droid just sat off to the side and observed both the sensors but also his master, recognizing when he needed to keep his chirpy comments to himself. the R3 unit knew full well that his master was following something he couldn't quantify himself but that didn't mean it was a bad thing...well, most of the time. but his master would say that time on Atollon was a fluke*
"it was a fluke and you know it", the pilot said through closed eyes. the droid squawked once derisively in response before returning to silence, never quite sure how his master was even able to do that.
*the pilot tilted his head as if hearing something and jolted the controls to follow, changing from slow circling that was somewhat akin to an eagle coasting on thermals to what was now more akin to a hawk diving towards a target it had locked onto*
*in no time at all, a pre-fabricated settlement of sorts appeared below and the haulcraft deftly floated down to land on the edges of the afforded port. the pilot got up and donned his usual gear, securing his sith long sword to his holster belt and strapping his lightsaber to his opposing thigh before layering another bulkier cloak on top. as he got to the hatch, he stopped himself as he remembered something and went back and opened a chest that had an array of sith masks in it. he picked out one as if at random and donned it before stepping off the starcraft. the droid watched all this unfold and thought about how his master never did tell him if all the masks were his own or if they were trophies he liked to wear but i guess in the end it was just better for a droid to not ask*
*stepping off his ship, the sith stretched as he took in the chilly surroundings. it wasn't the most inhospitable place he had been but certainly not a resort planet either*
well....i guess we will go see where the dark undertow of the starry ocean had dragged us now, eh?
*and with that, he started walking across the bulk of the landing platform that was somewhat obscured by blowing snows and towards the buildings in the distance*

‘Why… hello there! I don’t recognize the craft nor the armor but I have a feeling we’ve met before’ Dominicka says offering a hand in greeting.*
‘But let’s go inside: we’ve set up a modest building my family and I, but it comes with a fully stocked bar and drinks are on me.’
****** Meanwhile ******
*Adams meanwhile heads back to the communications terminal. He hasn’t heard from his other daughter in a while. Dominicka was never this ‘spiritual’ before but even then he still had his ‘rank’…. At least in Adams mind. How the Fleet on the other hand would take it was a different story, and Melanie had always been a little angry in general. Whether or not she heard his ‘recall’ order and was to obey it was a good guess, even stamped with Adams approval as both her father and her Aristocra.*

*closing the distance to meet the figure coming onto the edge of the landing platform, the cloaked sith politely met the offered hand to clasp it firmly in a handshake and offered a short head bow to his host before speaking*
"i don't recall us having ever met but we likely have numerous common threads between us for my way to have found itself meandering here. after all, isn't everything connected in one way or another?"
*slightly smiling unseen behind his mask, he spoke the last line as something of a trial balloon, as he could sense this new person was a force user of some kind and divining one's philosophy was always a fun game*
"but yes, let us retire out of the cold and bluster to somewhere more hospitable for such topics"
*letting go of the man's hand, he beckoned for his host to lead as they made their way indoors for warmth and refreshment*

‘Connected? Yes, well despite my abilities I’ve never really subscribed to the flow of fate, although recent events have left me questioning that line of logic again. I myself would prefer the logical route as my former commander once did. Alas it’s one of his few flaws accounting for the Force and ‘ he pauses as if recollecting his thoughts ‘you could almost say fate is what did him in in the end.’
*Reaching the interior he removes his cloak and places it over the bar top. Moving around the side he reaches for a glass for himself and asks his guest*
‘Benad’ominic’kanuroudoo, former Aristocra of the Ascendancy, currently … well…. unemployed bartender. What will you be having?’

*Shol'vah followed the Chiss as he leads the way indoors, securing the door firmly against the harsh elements once inside before replying once more*
"i don't devalue the worth of logic at all, as one must always keep a cool head lest they lose it"
*removing his outer cloak as he spoke, he then popped his mask off to slide down his arm and snatched into his outstretched hand at the mention of losing ones head as if to further emphasize the point and yet in a rather unserious manner*
"....and yet surely one cannot deny the oddity of us being somewhere this remote and having this setting to make our acquaintances."
*as his new friend reached the bar and asked what he was having, he searched through a few pockets and folds of his robe before finding what he was looking for*
"alas, my good man Benad’ominic’kanuroudoo!" *he twitched his lips as pronouncing it kinda worked his mouth in ways he was not accustomed, then he slammed a goldish coin down on the bartop* "you are unemployed no more. i, Darth Shol'vah, am your first customer....give me whatever is the specialty of the house"
*Shol'vah slipped into one of the chairs along the bar and leaned onto the bartop, trying to find a comfortable posture*

*He slides the coin back across the bar top, pouring a glass of Corellians Whyren’s Reserve on the rocks*
‘These drinks are in the house, at least the first round or two: a bottle from our stay in the Corellian system, 12 years. Strange times indeed, now I know not all Sith align with one another, but this Sith a Chiss like myself, had hired some mercenaries of his order to pursue us across the Galaxy. We ended up in Corellian space, on one of the moons of … no I’m sorry it was the barren rock of Crollelia in the system, well we based upon it…’
*As he pours himself his own drink, he tells his tale of the past. When he’s done several minutes later he realizes he’s barely touched his own drink so he downs it in one gulp*
‘Well… anyways it was not a good time. But enough about me, tell me about yourself. What brings you to the Unknown Regions alone. Forgive my bluntness, I am but an exile poorly mannered in political or galactic affairs in over a decade, but rarely do I see a Sith without a banner… or an army. Has the Galaxy changed or has misfortune befallen yourself… or are you an exile like myself?’

*looking down at the coin he had offered, Shol'vah laid a finger down on it and slid it back in the new barkeep's way, this time explaining his intention further*
"i do not mean to offend, good sir, but allow me to explain: in many corners of the galaxy, it is customary for a new establishment of this kind to celebrate its first sale, and to enshrine it in some fashion as a symbol of the future good fortune for the dwelling and all who come forth to it. i appreciate your kindness towards me and would be honoured if you would allow me to express my own in turn."
*with a simple bow of the head, he once again left the coin in front of the Chiss and took up the glass that had been offered, to sip as he listened to the yarn that was spun before the conversation turned back once more to him*
"well i imagine most of the sith you have met are of the normal ken, with the formal rules and factions. and while i recognize those things have their time and place, i have allegiance to but one thing in this galaxy: the code. truthfully i don't really know how other sith can claim to be breaking their chains while weighing themselves down with formal pacts and alliances but to each their own i guess?"
*he raises his glass as if in somewhat mock salute before taking a drink and continuing*
"as for why i am here, i do not rightfully know the specifics. you see i have lead a million lives, as a saint and a monster, and i just go where....well, i realize this might sound strange to your logic, but i go where i feel an itch or a tug to be going. i have spent the last while meditating somewhere truly remote and just felt something of a call back to the regular spaceways of the world instead of the worlds between worlds as it were...."
*seeming to trail off a bit at this part, Shol'vah got momentarily sidetracked looking into the nearby fire, as if seeing something in it that piqued his attention before remembering himself and snapping back*
"oh where was i? yes, yes....alas i had been on something of a sabbatical after my last task of hiding away Lady Desaevio's son from prying eyes for a spell. i guess the universe just hasn't needed me in the time since"
*draining the rest of his drink and then placing the glass back down on the bar, he studied and scrutinized the man across from him*
"so what are your plans for the future? or are you just going to hide out here for millenia?"
