Yes, in fact, it is! However, all time lines fall into your overall timeline, so if something occurs, you can decide where it falls into place with your character's experiences, but separate time lines do not fall into separate dimensions. Therefore, you could do a story where you are a Sith and a story where you are a Jedi, but both of them could not occur at the same time. One would happen chronologically before the other. So, you decide where your character ultimately ends up, but you can't be everything.
I think that makes sense.
