The command hub of the whole place is set underground, deep within the mountain itself. Accessed via a heavily guarded turbolift that is concealed within a guard post near the northern edge of the base not many but the highest commanders know of its existence never mind have security access. There is a dummy command centre just before the guard room itself and all of the base operation can ands often are run from there. Computers systems, secure comms, encryption devices, slicer and programming droids, tactical displays the usual scene of a military command hub. Base commanders will use the above ground centre and guard room unless time of stress come upon the place which would cause them to seek the hidden post.

It had been long since what remained of the Fett Clan gathered for a meeting. Many of their own had vanished, either due to the failed Crusade against the Dark Tide, to age and the afterlife, or simply without a trace. Of the remaining legitimate candidates for leadership, the mantle of Aliit'alor of Clan Fett (Vhett) fell upon the lap of Galaar Fett, as one of the few remaining Mandalorians who had the skill and reputation to lead their clan. Their trust was put forth and onto him, bringing a new wave of responsibility that would hopefully not bring grey hairs and stress.
However, that may be the case, given the state of what remained of the Mandalorian nation. The clans had remained divided since the failure of their latest crusade. Though Kuat was hammered greatly by the might of the Mandalorian Empire, under Manda'lor Ashrah, they still were bloodied and thrown back to the Outer Rim. Ashrah, possibly due to the shame of his defeat, vanished without a trace. The Helm of Manda'lor was lost, the clans fell out of unity and Mandalore became quiet. There was known reports, however, that some clans had gone forth to side with the First Order, a resurgent Imperial nation within the Outer Rim, while even fewer clans sided with the Infinite Imperium. All eyes fell upon Galaar as he called forth a meeting, to discuss the future of Clan Fett and of Concord Dawn.
The middle-aged Mandalorian, scarred from creatures of Dxun and with a blaster rifle set upon the table before him, remained quiet for a long time as the remains of his family whispered among one another, wondering what decision would be made. There were already voices being made to either side with the Imperials or aid the Rebel Alliance. A neutral voice proclaimed that Concord Dawn needed attention and that Clan Fett needed to rebuild. Fewer voices desired a reunified Assembly of the Clans. As murmurs began to rise, Galaar raised his hand, silencing his kinsmen and women.
I am no great Aliit'alor, not like Cassus, not like Corr, nor any other that came before me.
These were big boots to fill indeed and legacies to uphold.
Yet I will follow their footsteps. For though they loved their nation, they loved their family greater. Cassus was Manda'lor and Aliit'alor, who brought greatness, stability and prosperity to all. Corr led us when Cassus left, ensuring his work did not go unfinished. I say this now, I too want greatness, stability and prosperity. For my people, for my clan, for Concord Dawn!
Voices of approval began to rise as fellow Mandalorians, Fett and otherwise, nodded their heads in agreement with Galaar's words.
I will not judge any man who leaves to fight the war that seeks to engulf our galaxy. But now that you will always be welcomed home as heroes and warriors, just as our forefathers were always praised as. We must seek to rebuild, to reorganize and to once more look inward. To better ourselves so that the future may be better.
Not a single voice spoke against this. Galaar spoke common sense, for Clan Fett to be great meant Mandalore will one day be great too. They were among many foundations that built the Mandalorian Empire, that kept their people strong and ensured that they continued to thrive. To look inward was not weakness, but to turn temporary weakness into strength once more.
The Journeyman Protectors must be rebuilt. Our farms must produce again and our families be secure for the future to come. We will begin rebuilding here and now, so that our future is stronger and better than what it will be if we ignore ourselves. If we ignore what matters the most. To make our home great is to make us great. Go forth, my brothers and sisters, begin our great reconstruction.
The mood seemed to greatly improve as Fetts and Mandalorians filed out, pleased with the words of Galaar. It is true that this meant that Concord Dawn was neutral in the war, but it meant that they could focus on themselves. On making themselves better, stronger and more secure. Galaar was a warrior, but he knew that now was not a time for war, but a time to weave together the Fetts, so that the memory of Cassus, of Corr and all the other great members of their clan would not be forgotten.

Damocles lead the way into the control room, with Escalus close behind. He had never visited the Fett home world before. But he had heard much of the Fett Clan. To secure their backing would be a great boon for his claim to the Helm. The pair stopped and waited then. Expecting either security or a representative of Clan Fett to meet them

Indeed, security was what met them as a squad of Journeyman Protectors approached Damocles and Escalus. The military arm of Concord Dawn makes sure they had credentials, Mandalorian ones of course. Once that the necessary procedures were performed, the two Ordos were shown into the Command Center. In one of the rooms, Galaar was found, speaking with some of the training officers on the progress of rebuilding the Protectors to their former height. The soldiers salute their chief before stepping back to allow Damocles and Escalus to be seen.
Galaar's scarred face looks over at the pair. His helmet situated beside him upon a table that he leaned on. He sighs, not knowing what this was about.
Mind telling me who the hell you two are? I don't have a lot of time if this involves some feud between the two of you...
Everyone in the Fett clan knew their new leader was a bit rough with diplomacy, but when did diplomacy ever work for the Mandalorians? It was always the blaster, the sword and the battlecry that was their diplomacy after all. That and lately the new responsibilities of his clan had soured his mood, realizing just how much the Fetts needed reorganization.

Damocles and Escalus both showed the Protectors their Ordo credentials, verifying them. As they were shown in, Damocles could see that the Fett's were in the middle of some works. It seemed he was not the only one to want to get the Mandalorians in shape once more. Which meant that this meeting would be all the more easier. As they came to a halt, the guards saluted before leaving. So this was the Aliit'alor of Clan Fett. He certainly looked like he had seen many battles, and sounded like he had little time for trivial matters. The pair of brothers removed their helmets then, holding them under their arms "No offense Aliit'alor, but not even you could resolve the feud the two of us have..."
"Enough vod. I am Damocles Ordo, and this is Escalus Ordo. And I assure you, we have not come for any trivial matter..." Damocles took the back pack off and set it on the table. He then opened it just enough for Galaar to see the Mask that lay within. While it was a rather bold move, it was a required one. Time was a valued commodity, so getting straight to the point was the best route to achieve his goal here

Galaar felt like retorting, but it seems Damocles had a good control of his brother's mouth. Out of the corner of his eyes, he notices a backpack being set down upon his table with the flap in view of him. Within, under the shade of the fabric, was the mask of Manda'lor. A mask long lost since the disappearance of Ashrah, the Manda'lor whom many blamed for the downfall of the Mandalorian Empire and the stagnation of the clans. Fett looks up at Damocles, his attention more interested.
You got balls, Damocles. Something a Mandalorian needs to just walk up to an Aliit'alor and reveal such a thing.
Galaar, however, had to yet to see if Damocles was a genius or just stupid. He had the skills of a hunter, if he was able to find the mask. He had guts for displaying it, now the question was, did Damocles view it as a trophy or a symbol. Fett felt this could be the most interesting thing today and in a long time.
You aren't the first to claim it. So why show it to me? You want a reward or something? Want me to throw myself to your feet? Or do you expect Fett warriors to suddenly rise from their graves and swear allegiance to you? What's your game with that, Ordo?
Time to test the waters.

Damocles smiled as his gambit paid off. Under different circumstances, it might have backfired badly on him. As Galaar pointed out, many had made a claim to the Helm in the past. And there were still those who had designs upon claiming it for themselves still. Some sought to sell the Helm for fiscal reward, others expected all to bow before them just because they held the Helm. But Damocles was different. He had found the Helm, true enough. But he knew that was not enough alone "You're a busy man, as you yourself stated Aliit'alor. So what better way to get your attention, than to show my hand..." Damocles closed the bag, covering the Helm from prying eyes that need not know he had it "I have not come for dead warriors, or monetary reward, or for you to throw yourself at my feet. I'd go visit the aruetii if I sought such things... No. I have come, because I need living allies able to stand at my side. People willing to support my claim to the Helm. People willing to help me restore our people to their former glory... We have been weakened by years of the Mandalorian Empires rule. Thousands of warriors were committed to a pointless crusade that ended only in death for them all. And even now, the Imperium seeks to see such a foolish path continued along... We are not the people we once were. Our resources have been depleted. Our people are divided and leaderless... I wish to see that changed for the better. I want to unite the clans and set us back upon the right path..."

Galaar could hear that Damocles was passionate about what he intended to do. True, Mandalorians had suffered from the shortcomings of the failed crusade against the Dark Tide. Promises of glory and riches went up in flames over Kuat as the Mandalorian armada, built up by many previous Manda'lors, was utterly destroyed and sent limping back to their home. Ashrah then vanished and the clans separated, following their own agendas without a leader. The helm was lost and the people began to stagnant.
Galaar scratches his chin slightly, thinking for a moment upon the remarks made by Ordo. Concord Dawn still needed some rebuilding, but if the clans could be reunited, then additional resources could be brought in to help with reorganizing the Journeyman Protectors and reforming what else needed to be done on the Fett's homeworld.
You are either a genius or just plain stupid... but you got passion, Damocles. Passion will lead to fuel, then to drive, which courses motivation into determination and effort. Something the clans could use to spark a reunion and a new order. I bet the other clans will happily see such charisma in a Manda'lor.
Galaar then sighs deeply, tapping the top of his scalp.
Give me a little time to think on this, Damocles. I am guessing you will be gathering the leaders on Mandalore, so I will head that way while I think. But... I have to admit, haven't seen your kind in a long time, kid. Its been a long time since I have seen such a fire within a Mandalorian. And last person I ever saw that in was Cassus Fett, a former Manda'lor.
He balls his hand, punching the Ordo in his shoulder. Galaar then grabs his helmet off the table before looking at Damocles.
Keep it up, kid. As they say, Verd ori'shya beskar'gam. A warrior is more than his armor. Remember that.

Although it was not a definite answer, it was about as close as he would get. It was clear that Galaar was seriously considering the idea. And to force him to answer one way or the other right now would only diminish his cause. He just had to trust in his vode and hope he would make the right choice when the time came. He gave a nod of his head then "Maybe it's a bit of both... stupid genius. Now there's a combination..." He slipped his helmet back upon his head, with Escalus doing the same soon after "Only time will tell how the other Clans will feel. But I trust our vode to do what is right... Be ready to meet on Mandalore in a couple days. That is when I intend to call the clans together. I trust you will have had the time to decide by then..." His armor absorbed the impact of the punch "Always Aliit'alor. Thank you for the wise words... If there is but one other thing I might ask of you. I was wondering if perhaps I might ask one of your Clan members to join me. So that they might see me and better help you decide if I am worthy of your support?" A meeting like this was not enough to determine a persons character. So to have someone of each Clan travel with him, was a chance for each Clan to have someone they knew to get to know him. To figure out whether he was just some pretender to the Helm, or a serious candidate

Perhaps a spy, if one would say, would do well to keep an eye on the actions of Damocles. See if he is truly worthy to be Manda'lor.
I shall permit it. You may go and choose from among my clan one worthy to stand as my representative.
Galaar puts his helmet upon his head afterwards.
Now if you will excuse me, I should head to Mandalore in the mean time.

"Thank you. See you on Mandalore..." Damocles and Escalus gave a final bow, before heading out of the command center. From there, they made their way to the local bar. Galaar had said he may chose any amongst Clan Fett. So that was what he intended to do

Having returned from Mandalore, and witnessed the elevation of a new Manda'lor, Galaar set to work upon the Journeyman and Mandalorian Protectors. There was much to be done, but the foundations would, at least, begin upon Concord Dawn. Using the best and brightest recruits from the Journeyman Protectors, the Aliit'ator of the Fett clan hoped to use those to join the basis of the Mandalorian Protectors. However, there was to simply the manpower of Concord Dawn...
As Galaar examined the roster of recruits being introduced, he knew that the Mandalorian Protectors needed to be a nation-wide force. With that in mind, Fett began to ponder on the clans that could provide warriors in order to make the Protectors a truly potent force. To ensure that the Mandalorian Assembly was strong and the Mandalorian people were safe. As he sat in the Control Room, he began to ponder on which clans to approach first.

Kaalin approached the main turbolift with helmet in hand, hoping anyone watching could identify him. The turbolift was heavily guarded as he expected, all of which had their eyes drawn towards him. He came to a halt, placing his free hand up in the air.
"My name is Kaalin Karr, of Clan Karr. I wish to speak to your Aliit'alor, we have much to discuss."

The Mandalorian that Kaalin spoke to looked at the male inquisitively, but wasn't his place to question. The warrior turned slightly, shouting across the room at the Aliit'alor, Galaar Fett.Oi! Aliit'alor! Some bold Mandalorian here wants to talk business over here!Eventually, Galaar approached Kaalin Karr, examining him from a close proximity. What do you want to discuss, ner'vod?

Kaalin stood his ground as Galaar approached him, his helmet still sat sternly in his hand. He stuck out his arm towards Galaar, hoping that he would grab it as most Mandalorians would.
"It's an honor to meet you, as I said I am Kaalin Karr; Aliit'alor of Clan Karr."
Kaalin began a slow walk towards the control room, allowing Galaar to stand beside him in pace.
"When I was a child, my father served our Manda'lor with great honor and pride. He pledged his loyalty to Manda'lor, and swore he would never break his oath. That was until our Manda'lor betrayed our people, and was found scheming behind our backs with the Empire."
He paused for a moment and turned towards Galaar, his hand clenched tightly against his buy'ce.
"He was later executed for treason. Our people were made to believe that my father was secretly working for our enemies, when in fact it was our Manda'lor who betrayed us. Kaalin paused again, his eyes began to boil with anger. "As the Aliit'alor of Clan Karr, I pledge my loyalties to the people of Mandalore. I've received word that you are planning on rebuilding the Mando Cabure. I have a large number of Verd, ready to be called upon for service."
Kaalin looked towards Galaar's eyes, inching towards him slowly. "But know this, If our Manda'lor ever deceives us, Clan Karr will be the first to act. With or without the support of the Mando Cabure."

Galaar looks attentively at Kaalin for a moment. Before his gaze turned to the holorecordings that he had been examining, showing the core of the Mandalorian Protectors that were being trained for duty. With the Mandalorian Assembly created and a Mandalore proclaimed, these Protectors would be needed to once more protect the united Mandalorian nation.
Well be happy to know that our new Mandalore, the Architect, does not seek war. He wants to rebuild and prepare us for the future. A future that was once uncertain given our divisions and our lack of unified leadership.
Galaar moves away from the Aliit'ator of Clan Karr to turn off the holoprojector.
Rebuilding the Mando Cabure is but one step. I am also reforming the Journeyman Protectors to help better the local security of my homeworld but also the homeworlds of other Mandalorian clans. We may not be seeking war, but doesn't war and conflict won't come to find us.
Galaar then looks up at Kaalin.
So question is, Kaalin, are your people ready to do their duty as Mando Cabure and for our Mandalore?

Kaalin began relaxing a bit, he noticed his muscles were a little tense after his speech to Galaar. He rolled his shoulders back slowly while listening to the Aliit'alor of Clan Vhett speak. It was unfortunate that Kaalin had not met the so called Architect, but he had hope that this new Mandalore is able to lead his people into a new age. He looked over to the hologram for a moment, gathering his numerous thoughts. The hologram quickly dissipated, and Kaalin was approached with an engrossing question.
Kaalin lowered his head slowly as he spoke. "My people will always be ready to serve, both the people of Mandalore and our Manda'lor himself. As will I."
He brought his head back up and returned to his stiffened posture. "I have to admit, there is still much to be done. Despite only just meeting you Vod, I have a lot of respect for you and your clan. I hope that our combined efforts will establish a Mando Cabure worthy of our ancestors."

Galaar nods to Kaalin Karr.
Then bring what warriors to Concord Dawn that you believe are best suited for the Mandalorian Protectors. You will lead them, Kaalin, not only as their Aliit'ator, but as their commanding officer. Bring what officers you can as well. We will need good instructors.
With that said, Galaar turns back to the map of Mandalorian Space, examining their recent expansions and where the Protectors would be needed the most. In light of the Assembly's formation, the Hutts to their southeast were starting to grumble and fidget at the sight of a united Mandalore. The Protectors would certainly be of use there.
Tell me, Kaalin, do you have any experience with Hutts at all?

Kaalin approached the map, his arms now folded over each other in front of his chest. He looked closely, noticing the current territory Mandalorians occupied. He kept his focus towards the map, despite Galaar's approaching question.
"I collected a couple of bounties for a Hutt out of Nar Shaddaa, I was compensated quite well." He moved towards the map, now resting his hands on it.
"A fight with the Hutt's will not be an easy one, credits grant a lot of power for these aruetii, despite their unappealing appearence. We must take such a thing seriously if we are to move forward with such discussions."

Galaar glances over at Kaalin.
Hutts are already squirming from the presence of a united Mandalorian nation, Kaalin... a fight with them is inevitable.
Hutts were most certainly not happy with a powerful rival on their border. Mandalorians were trademark hires for bounty hunting and other jobs that the Hutt Cartel gained hoards of credits from. If the Mandalorians did a better job at offering their services, which was a proven fact with their record, so far, with the First Order, the Cartel would certainly seek to change that.
Its a matter of when, not if, we have to fight the Hutts, Kaalin.
