She switched her stance with a slight hop as his blade continued, the motion pulling her right shoulder back as she did and the lightsaber along with it. She didn't escape entirely though, and the tip of his blade caught her leg just below the knee, leaving a shallow cut in the skin. That moment of recklessness had nearly cost her her leg, and she knew she couldn't allow it to happen again. She could still feel the emotions and desires of the crowd tugging at her, coaxing her to once again fall prey to her darker nature. Her blade was held low and nearly vertical on her right side as his arced upward, ready and waiting to defend against whatever attack may come from that angle She refused to play her opponent's game, resolving herself to remain on the defensive and ignore the draw of the darkness that surrounded her.

There was little thought now from him, merely the raging of the darkside through his very soul, whispering to him sweet suggestions that his body followed of its own accord. Anger and aggression joined forces, their hands meeting in grim recognition, as he pressed his attack, seeking to drive her into a mistake...
His fingers splayed from where his palm rested on the ground, flaring outwards as it moved from the dirty sand to release some of the energy build up within. The grained particles swirled and blasted outwards as a rippling wave soared forth at about half a foot from the ground, shearing forward towards her shins. The arc of his saber steepened and lashed out to strike at her head as he rose back towards his feet, the left arm coming around to slash the scarlet energy almost directly down at her left eye. His right hand, upon leaving the floor, rose up to join the left on the hilt, making its way up the front of his body.

This time, she was ready for it and could feel the release of power in the moment before it rushed toward her. She had been caught off-guard before, drawn into a miasma of self-doubt and despair where her only recourse was to give up control, but now she knew what this man was capable of. Had felt the residue of his power coursing through her, and knew she could withstand whatever assault he may bring.
Her body soaked up the energy of the repulse as it struck her, leaving the portions that didn't to simply continue on and expend their energy in the sand while the rest surged into her body, fueling her own natural aptitude for rapid recovery and closing her wounds at a pace that was even unheard of for her species. What little remained she utilized to empower her own actions, and she allowed the crimson blade of her opponent to pass by her right side and up as she stepped forward with her right foot, then met it in a right-handed horizontal block that would halt it dead in its pursuit of her eye, her left hand held close at her stomach and a small smile gracing her lips.

His right hand joined the left on the hilt of his saber just as the two glowing blades of controlled energy met in a sizzling hiss of violence. Setting his shoulders he bore down on her blade, seeking to overpower and force the deadly light down into her face.
His fury fueled his aggression yet he maintained a rigid control over its usage. She had proven adept at countering his brute force with deflective skill and he had no intention of continuing to see his efforts wasted. Instead he allowed his rage to add to his own reserves, minimising fatigue and stress, allowing the darkside to guide his arm.
Possibilities once again flashed out in his mind as he relaxed into the roiling flow of shadow the growled within him, time seeming to slow with the heightened sense of things such talents brought...

The burst of energy she'd soaked up from his prior attack, small though it may have been, was enough to halt the initial momentum of his downward stroke, though once his other hand joined the first on his weapon even her innate firrerreon strength would not be enough to hold back the onslaught. So instead of meeting it head on once more, she simply stepped aside, moving to her own right and being sure to keep herself facing him as she did so, using his own strength against him and allowing his blade to slide easily through the air on her left side. When his blade reached waist height and her own was angled toward the ground and nearly parallel to her body, she gave it a solid push to send his away from her and allow her to regain her two-handed grip.

As she moved to the side he too stepped to his right and forward slightly, gaining a little on her right hand side.
With her blade angled downward against his blade it was somewhat out of position, a fact that may not be of concern considering his blade was also tied up there. With the loss of leverage rendered by her motion Caed lacked the strength to influence her blade further, his own step allowing him to absorb her own shove.
He removed his right hand from the hilt as his left pushed against her still, twisting upwards a little to angle blade to guard against an upward swipe. With a flash of motion the right hand struck out towards her face in a flicked jab, his hatred and rage imbuing the striking appendage as it shot out towards her left eye.
He would seek continue his motion forward and right should circumstance permit, resetting his stance for another attack.

Retreating further from her opponent's onslaught, Anya added a backwards element to her rightward motion, disengaging her blade from his as she slipped inside the jab. It would be harmless, passing to the left of her face as she moved, and disengaging entirely would give her the little time she needed to return her hands to a solid grip on her saber hilt as they circled each other.

There was a lot of action and good writing in this bout and I loved every bit of it. Well done gentlemen. However, I must make a decision on whether to declare a winner or just declare draw based on the content here and as such I have come to my decision.
Based on match control, damage dealt and a myriad of other elements that i take into account, I declare that the winner is . . .
