============================== It was done. The Supreme Commander spoke his piece, then elevated him to High Admiral. Elation swelled through him, though he showed no signs of it. He was far to disciplined for that kind of display. Bowing his head in acknowledgment of the Supreme Commander's word, he replied."By your word, Supreme Commander. It is an honor and a privilege to receive this this sort of merit and elevation. I will not fail you. Sir."A new ship, a new command and a new title. Things were certainly looking up for him now. And he owed the majority of his recent good fortune to the Zabrak Sith standing beside him. Not something he had ever expected to happen, but these were strange times, and in strange times, the most unlikely ally usually appeared. But from now on, it was going to be his authority that held the fleets together and kept morale intact. A large responsibility to shoulder, but one he was prepared to carry. Savage could sense the elation within Harlan, though he showed no exterior signs of it. He was determined. And having done this for Petrovsky, he now had an ally within High Command of the First Order. Clearing his throat, he spoke once more."Congratulations, High Admiral Petrovsky. You've earned it. While I step down from being the High Admiral, I will still continue my duties as Grand Moff of the Iridonia Oversector, as well as any other duties you see fit, Supreme Commander. Now, if there was nothing else, I am needed elsewhere."In truth, he wasn't, but he didn't want to remain within the Supreme Commander's office longer than necessary. Nicademus nods to the Sith Lord. He had already become all too familiar with how brief Viox wanted to remain in the presence of the Supreme Commander. He began to wonder what Lord Savage may be up to that he stated he was needed elsewhere. For now though, the Imperial decided to take no heed. You may, Lord Savage. Thank you for your time as High Admiral, it will not be forgotten.Once the Sith had departed, the Supreme Commander turns to the newly elevated High Admiral.Peace has come, Admiral Petrovsky... but its tenuous at best. Naboo forced my hand and we had to settle for a status quo on the peace treaty. Yularen got his deserved execution for his actions. We must use this time to reorganize the state and the military. To ensure we can wipe the galaxy clean of our enemies and establish a new order.Nicademus gazes up at the map he had been examining earlier for a moment.Do you have any suggestions on what should be done during this peace?============================== Harlan watched Lord Savage depart. He was an interesting individual, to say the very least. One not to be crossed, certainly. As Lord Savage left the office, he returned his full focus on Nicademus. Nodding in agreement with what the Supreme Commander was saying, Harlan waited for his moment to speak. As Nicademus posed the question, Harlan cleared his throat."May I?"He asked, indicating to the holo-map. With the Supreme Commander's permission, Harlan approached the map, swiping it until it displayed the entirety of the First Order's territory. Motioning to the borders closest to the Galactic Alliance territory, he spoke."While we have an impressive navy and an army, we need to shore up our borders. Ensure that they remain secure. In doing this, it will show the Galactic Alliance that we still mean business, even during times of peace. We also need to establish garrisons and ships over worlds that are positioned off of major trade routes and hyperspace lanes. Aside from that, I think we are prepared to handle the worst, should it come to that. Our R&D divisions should continue to search for new and improved methods of engaging the enemy and we must remain vigilant."Satisfied with his answer, he looked over to the Supreme Commander, who had been analyzing the map as Harlan spoke. Petrovsky figured that Nicademus already knew this, but was looking for confirmation. He had just given it to him. Allowing a few moments to pass, he spoke once more."Sir. Might I suggest something? A task that may yield benefits to further our position?"Swiping at the map once more, Harlan called up the planet of Adumar."Adumar. Relatively insignificant in terms of galactic politics. However, this world was a manufacturer of munitions. Primarily proton torpedoes. But it has come to my attention that there could still be viable schematics to useful weapons we could use. I know we are at peace, but for how long? If we utilize this time to prepare ourselves for the next war, we will be prepared to face down the Galactic Alliance and win, not just settle. I would like permission to take my ship and send in a small ground team to extract an viable data that can be found."Harlan had been examing the star charts and maps of the galaxy for the last few weeks before Lord Savage had summoned him to Mustafar. Knowing that the rumors of peace and the end of the war were coming, he had been looking for a way to give the First Order an even greater advantage, should this war escalate once more. And now was the opportunity. With the Galactic Alliance at peace with the First Order for the time being, it gave the First Order the opportunity to gather its strength and be ready for the inevitable next war.

Commander Merrik, I am making you Deputy Director to Imperial Intelligence. I know of your skills there and wish to use you to your fullest potential. Derek Marr, if you wish, I desire to make you an Imperial Agent of the First Order. You will continue to work under Commander Piett. Is this agreeable to the two of you? Merrik can't help but stand straighter as his promotion, or transfer, or whatever it is it really is is announced. It takes just a moment of hesitation before he bows to the Supreme Commanader and responds. I would be honored Sir. I will serve in whatever capacity you deem most fit for me. He stops himself before going into a modest speech about how he is a fleet commander and not an intelligence operative, but in truth he had been doing more intelligence work than fleet work since joining up with this man so many years ago.He straightens up from his bow and looks over to Derek, hoping that such a capable man would join him and continue to make him look good in front of his boss.

Phelar huh? I was born and raised in Eriadu City. My father was a client of the Tarkin Family. Cyrus Delvardus, you may have heard of him. It was hard not to go anywhere without someone noticing my father when I lived on the planet. The Delvardus family had deep connections, lucrative ones, that sunk deep into the society of the planet. Sander Delvardus had ruined them, but they were rebuilt over a long period of time. Yet Nicademus left it, abandoned his home, for his true destiny. A destiny that set him to one day rule the galaxy.Derek Marr, your expertise will go well with our Intelligence Bureau. And both of you have accomplished a great deed for me and I thank you for your work and efforts. Now, I must consider where to place you.Nicademus would then speak further.Commander Merrik, I am making you Deputy Director to Imperial Intelligence. I know of your skills there and wish to use you to your fullest potential. Derek Marr, if you wish, I desire to make you an Imperial Agent of the First Order. You will continue to work under Commander Piett. Is this agreeable to the two of you? Yes sir, Phelar. My dad worked directly for Cygnus as an intelligence operative. He told me many of stories of Cygnus. I never met him, but my dad did like him. Until he had some Ithorian Mists but thats another story. Derek contemplates the offer. As you wish Supreme Leader. The Galaxy will grow to respect the hidden arm of the First Order. I will not disappoint you, my lord. Derek looked towards Merrik. Finally, a higher up, he could use to provide just the extra amount of cover and bureaucratic blindness. Derek, could see it now, Merrik taking both the fame and the mess that would soon accompany them on several top secret operations. Glory.Fame.Renown. Derek would have none of it, more than likely it would be falsely bestowed on some unsuspecting FO subordinates just the way he liked to work, a ghost.

The clone listened to Nic intently and smiled. "When I can access my memories from the Original, I will be even more powerful, but as it stands, I have decades of combat experience, leading troops and battles. I am also an assassin, albeit I am not discreet. I hate boasting my Lord." He said quietly. "I prefer to use my actions, let them talk for me. I offer my loyalty only in exchange that I be the one to end the last of the Jedi Shadows and my original creator." He said quietly. "Give me the means to do this and in exchange, I pledge my life and loyalty to you and your empire." He said dropping to a single knee. The time for building his own empire had come and gone, now was the time to join a new one. To be a cog of this mighty machine they had built would be a true honor. The Jedi Shadows, the second person to mention this group's existence to his ears. It was clear that Saren and Darth Venator had links to this Zalor character. Both of them desiring their downfall, yet it felt beyond an obligation to end them for the sake of the First Order. No, there was a personal vendetta he felt within them. They were Sith, after all, and Sith dealt with absolutes.Tell me what you need, Darth Venator, and I will see about supplying it.============================== The Scout stood back up to attention and nodded to his superior.Yes, Sir. And my men and I are honored to be part of that swords edge! I look forward to how we can best serve you next. Good, Lieutenant. For now, go and report to Merrik Piett. He is the standing Director for Imperial Intelligence. He will certainly have an assignment for you. That is all.============================== Saren continued, trying his best to seem unfazed by how well the meeting with the Supreme Commander was going.
"For what I have planned, I would like, at least, a small task force to aid me: a Star Destroyer, an infantry battalion, some fighters - just enough to make certain that any ill-conceived rescue plan from any of Zalor's current or former companions is met with the proper force, after I capture Anneri, that is."
Now it was time to see if Delvardus was convinced that his offer was worth what he wanted.
"In exchange for handing Anneri over to you, however, I would ask of you a place among your Knights of Ren, and everything that I would need, as such, to help you maintain order and safeguard the galaxy from the Jedi threat and any who would harbor them: ships, troops, resources. I want to become more than what I am, Supreme Commander. I want to be a loyal asset of the First Order."
The Jedi-hunter fell silent and remained calm, keeping his arms behind his back in a business-like relaxed pose. He'd hoped he hadn't asked too much of Delvardus, but he could feel that he was warming up to the Supreme Commander. Nicademus taps his fingers lightly upon the his desk, pondering quietly upon the reqests made by Lord Saren. After a moment, the Supreme Commander rises, picking up a datapad for his usage. If you are looking for your own Star Destroyer and starfighter assets, I can let you use a dockyard over Yaga Minor to construct one. Otherwise, I can see about loaning you one from the standing fleets. As for an infantry battalion, I would recommend Corulag or Carida. Both have Stormtrooper facilities that can give you the troops you need. Again though, if you wish for just a loan, I will see to it personally. On the matter of the Knights of Ren.The Knights of Ren are not mine to control, Lord Saren. You would need to speak with Soku Ren, their undisputed leader beyond their... shadowy Master. He is the only way in and out of the Knights of Ren. He is the one you will want to speak with.============================== Harlan watched Lord Savage depart. He was an interesting individual, to say the very least. One not to be crossed, certainly. Adumar has long been on my mind, High Admiral. The Supreme Commander admits willingly. It has a history with of producing revered starfighter pilots due to its rigid social hierarchy and culture. Its exports in starship technology and weapons would be a boon to the First Order. And, given its isolation, I doubt the Galactic Alliance would seek to take it. Their territories would be too far to hold it for long.Harlan's proposal could prepare for a First Order invasion of the planet. Its seizure bringing much to the First Order's future and to its military. He turns to Harlan, nodding calmly.Find out what you can. All the intel we can gain will help us have an advantage in subjugating the world. Perhaps it will even be a good testing ground for some of our new military technology. That's when the holoimage changed to a strange looking walker. It looked similar to an AT-AT, but had some changes in appearance, such as the hump upon its back, a massive cannon situated there and the design of its legs. It was one of the recent breakthroughs in the First Order's Military Research department. The All Terrain MegaCaliber Six, or Gorilla Walker. Twice the size of a regular AT-AT with a powerful arsenal, includiong a MegaCaliber Six turbolaser cannon. I believe the invasion of Adumar will be suitable to test this new walker of ours.============================== Merrik can't help but stand straighter as his promotion, or transfer, or whatever it is it really is is announced. I was born and raised in Eriadu City myself. I served as a security personnel when Lord Cygnus still ruled the planet before becoming employed in the Fourth Galactic Empire under Emperor Raven Tarkin.Another Eriaduan, it was good to see a familiar face. Perhaps that's why he recognized him, Nicademus must have seen his father at some point during his career under Lord Cygnus. For now though, that was for another time. His eyes glanced at both men.I will leave you both to your work then, Gentlemen. I suspect you have ideas in mind to help further the First Order's agenda. Do what you must and bring me results.

Walking into the office, he was hardly taken aback by its splendor. If he had infinite resources, he would want to work in a similar environment. The man at the desk however, was another matter entirely. As he wasn’t facing him, he could only see the back of his head. However, it seemed vaguely familiar. The name of the Supreme Commander, or Emperor now, seemed familiar to him. However, as he turned around and he walked closer, the memories all connected in his head. It was hard to forget the piercing blue eyes or red hair. He knew exactly how to go about this now. He drew himself up, giving the traditional Eriaduian salute. “Commander Delvardus, I presume?”

A noticeable shuffle was heard from a pair of Imperial Knights that were present within the office when their guest identified their Emperor by his former title of Supreme Commander. Though, in truth, Nicademus still kept hold of it, for now.
The male calmly sets down his datapad once his name was stated. The Imperial would have to review the data at a later time. You are the first person to call me by that title in a few weeks... seems like years honestly. The Emperor rises from behind his desk to give his full attention to the Eriaduan. You must be the leader of the Empire-in-Exile I was told about. What is the name of the exalted leader? There was no hint of sarcasm nor anything beyond serious intentions. As the person before him was identified as the 'exalted leader' so would Nicademus identify him as such unless corrected otherwise.

Exalted ruler? It looked like his men were more loyal to him then he had thought. Though he trusted them, he still maintained caution, knowing that they could turn against him at any point. “I am High Moff Gaius Tarquinius of the Empire-in-Exile. I have come before you seeking an alliance of our two governments, Emperor Delvardus.”

Nicademus calmly touches his chin at the thought of an alliance between two Imperialist nations. In truth, he had no knowledge of this Empire-in-Exile faction that Tarquinius spoke of. The only other Imperials were those that had been eradicated or assimilated in an effort to form the First Order. At this stage, the First Order had no allies beyond those of the Knights of Ren. He needed more information before coming to a decision.
Tell me about this faction of yours, High Moff. What is the Empire-in-Exile?

“The Empire in Exile is an organization devoted to upholding the ideals of order, justice, and peace in a galaxy consumed by chaos, while simultaneously maintaining the vigilance of a fully military organization.” Cicero paused for a moment before continuing. “Instead of binding ourselves to defending a planet, we choose to adopt a more mobile strategy, only stopping for supplies, then going where we are needed. I have spent years training my soldiers into an effective, disciplined, and coordinated fighting force.” He wasn’t lying. From the onset of the EiE, the Stormtrooper Corps had been personally trained, from birth, to be a loyal and powerful force. “With your approval, we would like to use your ports and shipyards for resupply and repair, while acting as a Quick Response Force.”

Nicademus remains silent as his mind begins to work on the idea of having the First Order create ties with the Empire-in-Exile. There would be use for them and certainly, the presence of additional ships and troops was nothing to back down from. With the tenuous peace established, the First Order needed more allies and what better allies than fellow Imperials.
I would like to make an adjustment, High Moff.
He thought of the status of the Knights of Ren and considered that a better alternative.
Your leadership acknowledges me as the true Emperor of the renewed Empire. We will grant you the status of Allies with extraordinary autonomy, meaning you still keep your leadership, you still do as you please in terms of your agendas, but the First Order's agendas and goals always come first when duty calls. In return, you will be given your access to our shipyards, given ample supplies and further benefits to help your faction.
If they were to be an Empire-in-Exile, then there had to be an Emperor. Nicademus had worked very hard to become one and would not allow a second Emperor within these stars. As long as these terms were accepted and acknowledged, then all would be well.
Are we in agreement?

“Agreed. Quite frankly we do not use the title of Emperor in our ranks, as we are more a military organization than anything else, so we would have no issue recognizing you as the true Emperor.” Everything he has built was on the foundations of a purely military organization. With him being High Moff and overseeing the Moff Council, which consisted of fieldmarshalls, admirals, Knights, and commanders. And currently, they could use some allies. Running around the stars with no port to call home was a difficult thing, especially considering they lacked the reasources and would not resort to piracy in order to get them.

Then I believe we have a favorable agreement.
Though the treaty heavily favored the Empire-in-Exile, it did not matter to Nicademus. This roving fleet, designated as a First Order Quick Response Force, would still prove its worth and have value for the future to come. Allies were needed in the coming years with the tenuous peace still standing in the galaxy. The Galactic Alliance had retreated to its borders, but certainly, they were plotting a means to be stronger for whenever the next phase of the war began.
The Emperor moves towards the High Moff Tarquinius, offering his hand to the fellow Imperial.
Welcome to the First Order, High Moff Tarquinius. You and your fellow Imperials will keep their ranks and any governance previously established. It will not be dissolved unless voluntarily. I hope this alliance will prove truly beneficial to you in the future to come.

“As do I Emperor. I look forward to working with you in the future.” With that, he bowed to the Emperor. “If you would excuse me, I must get back to my men.” He and his Guard exited the room, content with their new alliance.

Although Saren also sensed that the Supreme Commander had no shortage of allies and subordinates, he was grateful that Nicademus was being so generous to him, despite having not heard of him before. Saren wouldn't dare bruise his trust. He needed the First Order's support to finish off the rest of the Jedi Shadows.
Saren gave Nicademus an appreciative bow of respect. "I thank you, Supreme Commander. I will certainly need my own fleet and soldiers in time, so I will be sure to send my most trusted agents to Yaga Minor and Carida to begin building my own force when this is over. However, that will take time, and Zalor Anneri is a threat that needs to be dealt with posthaste. So, with your permission, I would humbly ask you loan one of your ships and Stormtrooper battalions to aid me in his capture.
As for this...Soku Ren, this leader of the Knights - where is he headquartered, and how might I contact him? I am very eager to meet him."

At least you two give me sound and honest advice.Probably the reason why the Supreme Commander favored the Knights of Ren so well. They spoke bluntly and honestly, not sugar-coating words. They truly gave him the words and advice he sought. However, there was a further question to present. If the Empire was formed, the Knights of Ren would certainly take a more... integrated role. One question remains. Since my Empress will obviously be Illaria, that means the Knights of Ren must seek a more integrated role in the fabric of this nation. Would the Knights of Ren consider no longer being allies, but being a vital organ of this Empire? *Soku stood silent as he contemplated the proposal. For quite a long time, their alliance had benefited both groups greatly; in many respects, the Knights of Ren were already a leg of the First Order. In all but name. But here was an opportunity to change that... a decision, however, that was not Soku's to make.
Looking up from his thoughts at last, he replied,* "I shall put this before the Master. Ultimately, it is his decision and not my own. I would tell you that I would very much accept, were it up to me alone. He may have other plans... we shall see. "Until then, I bid you good day, Supreme Commander." *He gave a bow and then turned, departing the office. He would do everything in his power to sway the Master's mind; Soku personally saw no downsides to the proposal. They served a common goal, after all, and an alliance would only mean good things, far as he was concerned...*

The shuttle bearing Kortos had passed quickly through orbit. Descending down to the Imperial Strategic Command building. The expedience afforded them was due to the shuttle’s owner. Though, who exactly that was, Kortos was not sure. But they were certainly important, if they were given such priority.
As the shuttle landed, a pair of Imperial Knights greeted him. Before a set of binders held his wrists together. While one of the shuttle crew handed one of the Knights the twin sabers that belonged to the former Jedi. His guards did not exchange any further pleasantries as they proceeded to escort him from the hangar bay, all the way to the Office of the newly crowned Emperor of the First Order. A title which still seemed somewhat foreign to say.
He watched, almost as if he were a spectator, as the Imperial Knights gave a nod of greeting to the guards. Who in turn, nodded back, before they flung the doors to the office open. Allowing the small party entrance to the office.
Kortos has heard stories of this place. Of a great room, that had a wall occupied by a screen filled with many wonders of the galaxy. They somewhat paled in comparison to being there in person. His gaze upon some great nebula that existed somewhere out there. But as the amazement started to fade. He set his eyes upon the man sitting behind the desk for which this office existed for. Emperor Nicademus Delvardus The Fourth.
The Imperial Knights let go off him then. Kortos dropping to his knees under his own weight. Suffice to say, he was still recovering from the Galactic Alliances raid and subsequent attempt on his life. Though he had cleaned up fairly well, and had been clothed in his garments once more. Looking almost as fresh as the day he had been captured on Dantooine.
He breathed heavily for a moment, before raising his gaze to Nicademus “Emperor Delvardus...”

Venator seemed to sink into thought for a moment then he smiled ruefully. "Nothing major a simple task force..To start. Perhaps four Ardants and perhaps a star destroyer, a Palleon? If that is within your means?" He asked humbly thinking that was more than enough to finish what he had started on Naboo. "And of course a nice complement of troops. I won't deny, my clone is in powerful company. The better the troops you can provide the better chance I'll have of taking them out. And to help you in anyway expand this empire." The clone said turning away and looking towards a window. "I wish to be invaluable to your cause." He said lastly turning back to Nicodemus his rueful smile still place.

I am very eager to meet him." Usually Soku Ren can be found on Muunilinst. The Knights of Ren have a tower here within the Imperial Strategic Command facility. However, I recently leased some planets for their usage in the Deep Core. Their headquarters is at Prakith, the lair of Harnan Ren I hear. You will find him at either one of those places. The Supreme Commander felt that Saren would be able to impress Soku with his offer of capturing a Jedi Shadow. It would certainly earn him a spot within the ranks of the Knights of Ren. As long as the candidate did not fail in his promise to either Soku nor Nicademus. With those words said, Nicademus used a datapad to give clearance to Saren for New Carida and Yaga Minor. If that is all, Lord Saren, I would suggest you get moving on your hunt.
He breathed heavily for a moment, before raising his gaze to Nicademus “Emperor Delvardus...” Nicademus was prepared for the prisoner that had been brought before him. Necessary precautions were made ahead of time as when Kortos Vel entered, there was a strong presence of Stormtroopers and, at least, five additional Imperial Knights, wearing red helmets over their faces. Between these five persons was the Emperor himself, Nicademus. The Imperial looks down at the prisoner who was upon his knees the moment he was released.Kortos Vel... a Jedi that defended the enclave at Dantooine during the Battle of Dantooine. Captured as a result and brought for questioning to the Imperial Prison, K-75, on the planet Dubrillion. Later transferred to a Purgatory-class prison ship, Redoubt. Months later, the ship was caught in an ambush and breached by three squads of Venom assault troopers.Nicademus looks down at the datapad, moving his fingers to examine the results of the raid.Raid's attempt seems to have been your execution, Kortos Vel. Venom troopers failed, only one squad escaped through a pod, after they killed twenty guards and retrieving at least several Galactic Alliance prisoners of war. Seems they didn't leave empty handed. The Emperor tosses the datapad behind him, listening to it clank and slide upon his desk. His gaze never once leaving the imprisoned Jedi after he spoke. There were many questions that needed to be answered, most prominent was the reason behind the Venom assault troopers that wanted a Jedi dead. Seems the Galactic Alliance weren't interested in a rescuse operation.Seems those people you defended wanted you dead... the ultimate betrayal, isn't it?Venator seemed to sink into thought for a moment then he smiled ruefully. Thankfully our Stormtroopers do not follow the usual training methods of the Old Empire. They are revolutionized to make them more agile and precise. They are a new generation that will endure the testament of time and the crucible of the battlefields to come. Their equipment is all new too, not too familiar to the galaxy. You will find their zeal ensures they keep fighting.Nicademus was proud of the measures taken to train the Stormtroopers of the First Order into a more fearsome and dangerous evolution from their Imperial predecessors. Their new armor, weapons and skills made them ruthless and loyal soldiers of the banner they served under. Their zeal for their Supreme Commander and his vision was unlike any other in the past.Your request for these five ships is approved, Lord Venator. I will lease some shipyards, for your usage, at Kuat. The best shipyards to ensure they are produced quickly. Nearby are Stormtrooper training facilities that will supply you what troops you need. I would recommend examining their specializations. They will certainly be of use in your hunt.

With his initial greeting done, Kortos finally took note of the added security within the Office. Almost a little over kill he might say. But on the other hand. He guessed they did not want to take any chances with a potentially hostile Force User.
Kortos’ attention soon returned to Nicademus, as the man began to speak. Rattling off details from a data pad. Detailing Kortos’ somewhat brief tenure as a prisoner of the First Order.
Dantooine still seemed like it happened only yesterday. The memories and wounds inflicted upon him still fresh upon his mind. Which had made his subsequent capture and interrogation much easier to tolerate. The entire ordeal taking his mind off of thoughts he did not want to entertain at the time. Though he feared their return was imminent.
Nicademus was soon past those details and got to the event that had lead him here to this office today. The Galactic Alliance raid on the Redoubt. An event which had come as a surprise even to him. At least it taking place anyway. Its intended aims, however, were less o.
He remained kneeling as his gaze briefly followed the discarded data pad. Rather amused by the Emperor’s disregard for the piece of technology as it clanked onto the floor. He met Nicademus’ gaze once more though. As the man spoke of betrayal “Some would say betrayal. Others might view it as a compliment... at least as far as an indicator of how dangerous I might be as a source is concerned... Though it does unsettle the nerves, to consider it...” While it was a betrayal of sorts. Given that it implied the Jedi or Galactic Alliance believed him capable of turning traitor. It was certainly not an ultimate betrayal. Sahiir had taken that one on Dantooine “After all, it’s not everyday that your former friends label you a kill target...”
