Abi kept up with Lucien, she was holding her light high so he could focus on finding a safe path through the ruins. She looked over the man's shoulder as he pulled out the holomap. It was both a little concerning and very exciting that they were off the map. Then we are the first in who knows how long! What do you imagine will be down here?

Reviewing the holomap, Lucien looks and directly in front of them.
Since before the Jedi Purge more than likely.
There had been no record of Jedi exploration into this depths by the New Jedi Order under Luke Skywalker. However, they may have done some light excavation before duties called them elsewhere. Lucien reached to his belt, pulling out a handful of glow sticks. They were snapped and tossed forward before Lucien drew his lightsaber and ignited it, giving off a better light.
Murals... look, Abi.
The green light of his lightsaber's plasma revealed a mural on either side. He comes up to the right, lifting the lightsaber to see what it depicted. There was one individual addressing a handful of others. Perhaps a teacher of the High Republic Era, educating the younglings of this temple. Next to it, there seemed to be a depiction of younglings training in a courtyard with their training sabers.
A dedication to all who were educated and mentored here perhaps?

Abi took the cue from Lucien and ignited her own green blade to hold aloft. She looked at the mural that Lucien pointed out. Gingerly she continued down the wall exposing another part of the ancient art work. The younglings were taking part in a ceremony of some kind. One of their number was kneeled before the instructor from the previous images. And a Knighting ceremony perhaps? It is humbling to see how much we still owe to the old ways... to the earliest Jedi.

Lucien joins Abi at the part of the mural she was looking at. There were a few races in view of them. The instructor appeared to be a member of the Wookiees while the students included two humans, another Wookiee, a Duros, and a Twi'lek. All over, the mural displayed how this place was once a fountain of training, education, and growing for all who entered its doors many generations ago.
Makes one wonder what this place was like back then.
Lucien goes further down the hallway, coming out into a larger area. He notices braziers, made of a once strong silvery metal, that were set upon pillars on the outside. The Jedi Lord walks over to the edge, where a deteriorating stone railing was. He sits on one part and proceeds to examine the brazier.
I think this might be the center of the whole facility.
The High Lord reaches onto his wrist and turns on the shoulder light now, scanning the area below.
It is! Abi, it's the courtyard depicted in the mural!
The two of them were standing at the very heart of the Lothal Jedi during the High Republic.

A giggle of excitement escaped Abi's lips as the pair continued to discover more and more the temple. And the realization that they had found the heart of it all, they very center of the Jedi influence upon Lothal. Abi returns her lightsaber to her belt when Lucien turns his light on. Instead of getting her own out, the Countess opts to let herself be guided by the Force. An easy task in a place as open to the Lightside as this one was. She moved away from Lucien, a hand tracing along the broken down railing, following it as it intersected with pillars before continuing. Finally she found what she had been suspecting. Had it been anyone not purposefully following the Force, they would have had quite a nasty tumble, but Abi's sure feet found the first step down. Stairs over here! Her voice rang out with joy. She descended the spiral stairway until coming out below in the courtyard that the High Lord was overlooking. The darkness was oppressive, her sight useless, at least when Lucien's light was turned away from her, but the rest of her senses were sharp and clear. The broken cobble beneath her feet was rough and old, worn and cracked by time. She heard nothing aside from her own soft footfalls and the sounds of Lucien above. But she smelled, something... stagnant water, from the center of the room if she wasn't mistaken. Slowly she stepped closer to source of the smell, and eventually came into contact with the lip of an old fountain at the heart of the courtyard. Here, on this lip, Abi sat and took a moment to reflect, as she was sure many ancient Jedi once did in this very spot...

Certainly, Abi sounded absolutely thrilled! Seems Lucien was right to bring her along. Above, the High Lord remained, looking around for any sort of mechanism to start up the braziers. Be good to have some proper light. He ventured about above, looking into a handful of rooms before finding something resembling an old board of power and a console. Tampering with it, sparks came to life and the Jedi turned the power on... before Abi's eyes, the braziers flared to life, illuminating more of the courtyard with a blue colored light, almost like a wisp, as countless came to on. Lucien came to railing once more and decided to descend.
He came over to where Abigail was, looking at the old fountain and then around. There were cave-ins here and there. It seemed this place was entirely beneath the ground. Likely done as the High Republic Era was a time of peace, but also an era of growing instabilities. The Outer Rim was hardly a safe place, even back then. The Jedi likely built it as such to ensure security and safety for the Padawans trained here.
A means to help police and protect the widest regions of the galaxy... the Jedi were beacons of hope, light, and order.
Lucien talks quietly as he looks around the courtyard. Even now, the Jedi could sense and feel the echoes of the past.
The Clone Wars likely ensured it was abandoned till the time of Luke Skywalker.

Abi was brought back to the present by Lucien's approach. It had been easy for her to get lost in this place. It seemed to want people to... remember, to hold the precious memories of this place dear. The leaning, the kinship, the joy, the debates, and even the sorrow. She could feel it all in the Force as if it were a distant dream she had had. And it may as well have been, for as much as the Jedi had changed since these lost times, they had also stayed very much the same as well. This place was doing her good, making the mourning process easier. Reminding her that Aurora's life had been the price that many had paid time and time again for peace and light to prevail in the galaxy, and that she was one with the Force, perhaps even guiding her now. Lady Bruce stood and looked back at the fountain that could now be seen in the light of the reignited braziers. A truly remarkable place... There were several other doors leading out of the courtyard. Where to next?

White as snow with fiery reddish eyes a lone wolf ran ever so gracefully across the open terrain. A massive canine, the beast was followed by three other wolves, two black and one silver. The pack was one of but a few that were once many. But that was many moons ago. And just like that the four beasts disappeared. Gone, as if they had never been, nor never would be. Then, like a silent crack of lightning, the four wolves came into view again. And then once again Al four beasts were gone

No response came though. Lucien's attention was focused elsewhere, towards the opposite side of where they were. He grabs a light stick and illuminates what appeared to be a partially opened door. Tossing it on the ground, the High Lord reached out in the Force and helped cause the door to be forcibly opened. His eyes had noticed an odd glint which was fully revealed once the door opened, tossing up a bit of rock from collapses. There, before his eyes, was an old droid. Brushing off some of the markings, Lucien took in what he saw.Abi! Over here!Lucien calls out as he begins to break off the rock that encased the lower portion of the droid model.Talk about a find... It's Mark IV Architect Droid!It was a white and gold painted droid, one eye was missing and the head seemed slightly dented from a rock impact. It probably had remained here for centuries, even as the ground engulfed this lower level. It may have stopped operating after some time due to age and neglect.A High Republic Era treasure... if the databanks are unharmed, imagine!

Incredible! Abi had never seen a droid as old as this one. It could hold any number of lost bits of history and Jedi lore! She knelt down beside the droid and began checking how structurally sound it was, if it could be moved, or if they would need to do some repairs here before moving it. On first inspection all the joints seemed to be holding together, but she was concerned about potential unseen issues. Hmmm, seems sturdy from the outside... Should we try moving it?

Lucien gets on one knee to better inspect the droid. He turns on a wrist light and proceeds to examine any exposed parts of the droid. It didn't seem like it was too structurally damaged. Mostly dents. The High Lord didn't see any wires that were out of place nor ruined circuitry. There was one concern though as Lucien scans the droid himself. And that was considering how far away they were from the surface.
If we can't get it to operate, it may be hard to lug this machine back up.
His wrist light points the direction they came from as Lucien spoke to Abigail.
We could try to turn the architect droid on. Or see if we can get a signal down here. Maybe call in for backup to help us out.
Lucien grabbed his wrist communicator now, adjusting frequencies to boost the signal. At times, like this, he wish he had an astromech droid to do the work. They did wonders with such commands compared to a Jedi who wasn't too technological in his mindset. Next thing to learn was the in and outs of a starfighter.
