Standard rules and powers apply.
Honoghr: Colosseum de L'Ange Tomb
This massive amphitheater, near the Spaceport in Nystao, was built using the plans of ancient builders, found on holocrons uncovered in the Rakatan Temple. The Honoghr government wished to pay tribute to those that had come before them, and by using these designs, they built this structure, using modern construction techniques and materials. The elliptical building is immense, measuring 388m by 356m and reaching a height of more than 60 meters. The Colosseum can accommodate some 550,000 spectators who could enter the building through no less than 80 entrances. Above the ground are six stories.
Below the ground, under the actual arena floor, were rooms with mechanical devices and equipment, to provide for the most interesting combat, or sporting event, possible. The huge amphitheater was built on the site of a hot-spring-fed lake, which gave the ability to flood the lower levels of the actual amphitheater floor, should the games require it.[/i][/span]

*A large Rancor trudged along, it had plates strapped to it in places, and decorative trophies dangling from the saddle on it. Up in the saddle sat a young rare dark skinned Echani. Her silver hair fell down her back in a long braid, Purple and black leather wove through the braid that fell to the middle of her back. She wore a Rancor hide vest overtop of her black and purple skintight jumpsuit. Her face painted with symbols that if one could read them were of Dathomiri tribal symbols. She had worn heeled knee high boots, her mothers insistance, her training had been done almost completely in them.*
*She climbs off the saddle and dropped down to the ground below. Her hand instinctively going to one of the weapons upon the utility belt that hung from her hips. She looks up at the Rancor and grabs a quarterstaff looking object and a round circle framework which she put over her shoulder. She swats the Rancor's thigh and looks up at it.*
Go, guard the ship. I will search the Amphitheater.
*It turns off to leave with a disappointed howl. She rolled her eyes as she turned away, starting off in the opposite direction; As she turns, the implanted tail uncoils, swishing behind her on the ground, a quiet metal on metal sound as it moves would be heard behind her. She couldn't help but appreciate her Rancor's insistence on being with her. Her eyes scanned the open area before her as she decided where exactly to start.*

He hated this place.
The Colosseum of Fallen Angels...an arena that Matango was beyond familiar with. He had vowed that he would never return to Honoghr...and yet, here he was...standing in the very arena where he had fought Trynna Vox, Corr Vhett, and so very many others.
It was tragic, really.
Deciding that now was not the time for reminiscing, Adi scanned the arena. It was empty, save for one occupant...a woman with a strange tail, and face markings...Nightsister, from the looks of it. Adi remembered a few of the wicked women he had come across, and none of them were happy to see Adi. In fact, they had all tried to kill him at one point or another. This one would probably be much the same, especially armed like she was. Besides, the Rancor that was stomping its way out of the arena looked as if it were hers as well. In order to train one of those slobbering tooth-terrors, one had to be extremely tough.
The woman looked the part.
Deciding to go and introduce himself, Adi hopped down off the wall he was sitting on, and approached the woman from the left side. His black t-shirt and black cargo pants swished very quietly as he walked across the floor toward her. He wished he had brought more than just a lightsaber, but it would have to do right now.
"This place is cursed, mi'lady. Might want to try Nystao proper if you are looking for someone. There has not been activity here in a very long time." Matango was cautious in his approach, but very methodically advancing at a pretty good clip. If she didn't make a move to stop him, Matango would stop about five feet away, and cross his arms. "In other words, go elsewhere, if you please. You don't belong here. Leave me to my reflections. I don't have time to deal with an interloper."

Cursed..? Then it is as I had heard.
*The young woman smiles, her teeth appeared well kept, though they did seem to be sharper looking then most. She may not have had offical training from Phantom, but as a friend of her mother he had always told her to make yourself as much a weapon as any that you carry. She'd taken the words to heart.*
It's not a one I search for, but a thing.
*She turned to face him proper, making no notion to imeede his progress. She did take a few paces as though to circle past him, Her silver gaze scanning him, tactically, gauging the level threat that this male could prove. She didn't want to underestimate.*
Then go, brood as you please, Male. I've no quarrel with you, lest you hinder me.
*she waved her free hand dismissively as she moves to turn away from him. She turns and steps away, but she didn't dismiss, nor ignore him. She knew better then do so. After her time spent training her Rancor, she knew especially when your back was turned to be alert. She merely wished to gauge his response. See if he would leave her be, or tempt fate.

"Whatever you seek, it is not here. Leave, and no harm will come to you." His look was cold, unyielding, as he watched her circle. She made no move toward Adieumus, but she also was not leaving. "Stay, and I cannot guarantee the same. I suggest the former...and immediately."
He stayed on guard, but gave no outward sign of doing so. He held his ground, not moving away as she made her movements. She moved like the Nighsisters he had fought before, the same graceful motions carrying her forward. That grace, however, was their undoing. There were always holes in that kind of fighting style.... Flowing, always in motion, they were almost mesmerizing in their execution of maneuvers....
...Almost.
Adi never made a move toward the saber fastened to his hip. There was no need for the weapon yet...and he was hoping there wouldnt be any need for it at all. The Arkanian narrowed his eyes, yet held his ground, knowing that he could wait for her to make the first move. He just had to be patient, and it would happen...it was inevitable. Instead, he simply turned to keep a solid line on this woman.
"I dont have time or the patience to ask again."

*"No harm will come to you....Stay and I can't guarentee the same." She couldn't help but smile a little bit. She didn't turn back to him but she did mutter, loud enough for him to hear.*
Promises, Promises...
*She continued her trailing steps, tail flicking idly behind her as she moved. She'd grown used to it over the past few years, though at first it had been awkward and clumsy. With practice it was now as graceful and a part of her as her own arm. She did have the alluring gait and sway in her movements as her mother would have. Her body slim and athletic taller then her mother had been. But as graceful and sexy as her 'resting' posture was. Her muscles where always coiled in anticipation of a sudden move. Training had been her life after all.*
....Nor I.
*The words left her lips after her movements started, her grip on her 'staff' shifting as she turns back towards him, letting her left hand slide down to the base, slashing the staff at the ground before Adi's feet, as she turned a red blade shoots out from its tip, much shorter then a lightsabers blade, but on the end of her staff, it easily spanned the five feet between them scarring the duracrete at his feet and sending up a few sparks to splash harmlessly against his pant-legs. Her words becoming more malicious.*
I said do not impede me, Male.
*Her sweep back to face him completed, and she fell into a more defensive stance, her free right hand coming up to grab the metal circled frame, as she brought it back down infront of her the shield turns on. Her silver eyes narrowed peeked above the top of the shield, looking like a futuristic version of a Spartan warrior of an old Earthen tale.*

The poor woman was deluding herself. Was that supposed to be intimidating? The weapon was indeed impressive, and had a good reach. However, polearms or staff weapons of any kind all had a weakness that Matango knew how to exploit very well.
It would be put into play soon enough. Right now, it was about calm.
The sweeping weapon in front of him had kicked up gravel and duracrete dust across his white and gray low top Air Force Ones. Sneering, as he hated getting scuffs on his new sneakers, Matango didn't move. Instead, he cocked his head to the side, and slowly began to shake it back and forth in a rather mocking motion.
"Male? Yeah, with that tone of voice, you -are- a Nightsister. You are -always- hating on men because you were taught we are all bad. Kind of a shame really. I've known a few of you. Does the name Atia Khar ring a bell? She had it bad for me. I really don't know why, but that bitch tried to kill me I don't know -how- many times. She wasn't very successful, as you can plainly see...and she was among your best.
Go home before you get spanked too, little girl. I don't want to embarrass yet another one of you." Adieumus' words simply dripped with condescension. Externally, he made it look like he was underestimating his opponent greatly. Internally, however, he was studying every twitch of her muscles, every movement, and as many details on the unusual weapon in front of him as he could. He wanted her to think that he saw her as no threat, and perhaps get her a little angry, or frustrated. An emotionally charged opponent made mistakes, left openings that could be exploited more easily than if they were not.
In other words, he was trying to distract her without distracting her to get his opening. He only needed but one.

*She tilts her head, watching his reactions to the sweep of her weapon. Not the ones she expected, some would flinch, some step back. He stood firm. It meant to her that he was greater then most men. Good, at least if he was going to get in her way, at least it would be fun, possibly even worth while.*
Not all bad, just most. Few are worth the time. You, I suspect, may prove worth the time. *Her eyes scanned him over quickly with a thoughtful eye.* Well.. Atia's taste isn't all bad I suppose. But if "Daddy" wants to give me a spanking, come, put me over your knee. Its not polite to keep a girl waiting.
*Te'oma blows him a kiss, giving him a playful look. Her back foot moving forwards as her left arm holding the spear thrusts quickly forward to stab at his chest, her right hand holding her forceshield steady and ready to defend as needed. She doubted that the strike would connect, at this stage of the game she was just probing, testing his responses, gauging. The game of cat and mouse was only beginning.*

Adi just shook his head in disgust. He didn't even dignify her reply with another response. This woman had to go. If it was a spanking she desired, a spanking she would get.
As she went into motion with the spear, The Arkanian did the same....albeit far less movement. The index and ring finger on his right hand snapped out, almost as if it were in a 'peace' symbol. His eyes were affixed to the woman's, staring into the cold, dark pit of emptiness. While it appeared simple, the motion was backed by the force. The reason he was locking eyes with a person he didn't even want to look upon at all? He was focusing on that point on her body.
Force eye poke....effective, simple, and very painful. The force was projected out, trying to jam itself into her eyes in an attempt to temporarily blind her. Sure, Adi would most certainly move if she continued her attack...but he was hoping he didn't have to. He was truly hoping that the move struck, and caused the intended damage.
If a person cant see? They cant fight. If this hit, it would be the first brick of the wall that Adi was laying to trap this woman in her own fighting style.

*Teo frowns slightly, she could sense the gatherings of the force, but the weird posture he held, combined with his also weird response to being stabbed at was anything but expected, she though a force push or pull, She'd seen many different responses but this was new, and unheard of. She had no knowledge of such an attack, and no prepared defense for such an attack. She had carried through her motion to stab him, if he was dead, she wouldn't need her sight.
But, weather she connected with him or not, she jumped back a few feet, settling into a defensive stance. The pain of getting poked was alot. But, she didn't show it. She didn't open her eyes. She just stood patient, shield up infront of her, the spears staff rested against it. She had other senses, and she had the force. She could buy time to recover. But just in case, she'd ready herself just in case this Male had other such attacks on the senses. She thought of telling him, she didn't need her eyes, but talking was a distraction, it no longer served a purpose.
Her mother was an assassin. Her sister a talker and loved her spells. Te'oma? She lived for this, combat, her entire body coiled, ready to move and shift, her tail flicking back and forth behind her, like a cat ready to pounce. She would wait, patiently, to see what the man's next move was. This time, she wouldn't be caught off guard.*

The move connected, and the spear continued to come in. Stepping to his left, the spear went by his right side...but just barely. This put Matango just to the outside of the weapon. As she stepped back, he stepped forward, hoping that her vision was impaired some from the force eye poke. Being outside of the weapon, that also put the spear between himself and the energy shield.
That thing would have to go. In due time though...it was yet another weapon that needed to be taken away.
He stepped one more step toward her with his left foot, trying to get right in her face from her right side. He threw a left body blow at her right side kidney area, followed by a low right sweeping kick aimed at the front of her shin. Adi was trying to get this Nightsister to block the kidney shot, which would leave her shin wide open to be knocked out from under her, and possibly knock her to the ground. If she went down, the Arkanian wouldnt hesitate to follow her down, taking away the power and range of the spear, along with the ability to protect herself with the shield.
One step at a time, however.

*Te'oma hadn't expected the first strike to hit, she knew that fighting was all about moves and counter moves. And to her the best way to counter move is to learn about your opponent. Which is where her mothers insistence on learning the old Echani ways of Firedancing, to the Echani fighting was akin to dancing, and they could learn as much in combat, as hours of conversation. She just needed some time.
She moved her shield to block the shot to her kidneys, just as he expected she would. It was the easiest and least energy consuming response to it. She didn't just let him hit her leg though. The sweeping kick coming at her leg she pulls her leg out of the way, and back, tacking another step back as she twists her spear, but because of how close he was, not with the saber end but to try and catch hip with the butt of her spear as she back stepped, though she didn't expect this attack to connect. He would be to close to be accurate, and its goal wasn't to hit him. But to occupy his attention so she put effort into making it look legit, and spending the energy on it.
She expected he would follow. Inside her guard, he would not want to leave this position. She would use this to her advantage. She flicks her tail, wider to the right then it had before in its movements, and as the tip of her tail curls around lining up with Adi, a small paralytic dart shoots out at his leg, where he should be stepping inside her guard again.*

Well that was just plain stupid....
Adi had made a complete and utter fool of himself, and made the first mistake. Having rarely, if ever, fought southpaws, Matango had gone shield-side. His punch was useless, ricocheting harmlessly off the shield. His kick too, missed the mark. He could, however, still capitalize on the opening, even with his mistake...
Bolstering his motions with a touch of force to enhance his speed, he began to spin, attempting to put his back against the shield, using the momentum from the deflected punch, and failed kick. Adi was trying to pin the shield between his back, and her front, negating the effectiveness of the tool. This motion would also carry him out of the way of the attempted spear strike. If successful, Adi would end up standing directly in front of Teo, with his back to her and the shield pinned between them.
Here is where Adi would try to end this.
As he completed his motion, placing him as stated, his right hand came up, pulling the black hilt from its hook and loop fastener on his right hip. The saber spun in Matango's palm, and screamed to life in a reverse grip. The weapon's trigger, along with the circuitry in the saber, was geared for trakata, and activated much more rapidly than most...it was designed to be almost instantaneous from the time the biocoded activation pad was touched. Adieumus stabbed backward, not really aiming anywhere specifically, just center mass. With the shield pinned to her body, Adi was hoping to land a strike somewhere on the woman's body. It mattered little where....putting a lightsaber hole through any body part was enough to make most yield. If it struck somewhere vital, the fight would end anyway.
This Nightsister, however, was proving rather resourceful, even early on in this fight. She appeared to be quite capable of getting out of tough scrapes.

*Teo frowned, again he did something completely unexpected, but in her advantage, she was fairly certain he had no idea how close he came to some serious trouble from her tail. It missed completely, and he seemed unawares of it, maybe there would be chance of that surprise later.
But, the spot he put himself seemed a bad one in her mind, it was dangerous to leave your backside exposed to your enemy. She knew exactly what she wanted to do, but then, red flags went up. She moves at the last second, trying to dodge to the side. Which was good, out of no where the familiar snap hiss of a saber igniting is heard and had she not moved she may not have had the chance to again. It still hit, but she had moved enough for the blow to glance off her side, scoring deep into the rancor hide vest. He would pay for that.
She uses the force, trying to wrench her shield down and to the right enough to protect herself, even if he was still pinning it to her. Her left hand comes up, trying to press the pole of the spear to keep him from moving away. She wanted him right where he was. She darts her head forwards, not to try and headbutt him, she imagined his head to be harder then hers. She instead was aiming for his neck, her lips peeled back and attempting to bite her sharpened teeth into his neck.*

Well, at least the shield was kind of pinned. Whatever she was wearing though? It protected her body from the saber strike. Damn it anyway....armor was always such a hindrance.
He could now feel the shield slipping downward, and the tingle of the force was unmistakable as she tried to clear it from between them. It was, however, the spear moving across in front of him that got him to thinking...what exactly was this bitch up to?
The shift in weight, the spear being brought into play....it added up to one thing. Kitty had fangs, and was about to try to use them. Oh no....this woman was not pulling a Trynna Vox on him. See, Trynna Vox had tried, and succeeded, in biting Adi, putting him into a coma for nearly three months while an antivenom was created. Who knows what bugs were crawling around in the mouth of the pointy-toothed woman? Matango was not about to find out.
He allowed the spear to come across his front. His right hand shot forward, deactivating the blade and putting it back in place on his hip on its way. The left arm as well came up, both arms curling up in an attempt to catch the spear against his body. If she thought she was trapping him, it was the other way around....
...She was about to regret trying to bite off more than she could chew.
As his arms came up, he threw his head back hard, aiming the very hard part of the back of his head for the bridge of the Nightsister's nose. Again...if a fighter cant see, they cant fight. The hard, thick, skull of Adieumus *confirmed in numerous arguments with his ex wife* could easily crush the vulnerable nose bone, causing not only vision issues, but breathing issues, too...a double bonus.
To add insult to injury, if Adi were to connect with the headbutt, he would stomp hard with his left heel, right toward the fragile web of bones of the center of Teo's foot. She would probably try to step back....but that would be just fine. If not, that was fine with Adieumus too. Either way, she wasn't coming out of this one victorious. She only -thought- she had the upper hand.

*Teo was moving in to bite him indeed, but seeing his head come back to try and headbutt her, she jerks back. It was a move she didn't trust committing too, this man was to unpredictable for something like that to work. There were too many ways that he could counter it. She wasn't sure which he would do, but this was certainly noe of them.
The stomp at her foot, was something else she expected out of a man like him. Simple, effective, and as she was learning, would be a move to take away a possible advantage. He'd gone for her eyes. He'd gone for her nose. He'd tried to negate her range, her shield. He was trying to remove her weapons; her range, defense, sight, mobility. He'd yet to make a move that would hurt her. If he succeeded in negating her threats, he might strike then. She had to keep on her toes.
Speaking of which, the stomp. Her own foot she brings up to avoid the stomp. And try to take advantage of his bodies motions, having only one foot planted firmly, his center of gravity should be off. Throwing his head back, with any sort of force would require more then just a neck movement. His momentum is moving back. She brings her foot down, trying to step so her foot would be infront of his. She would twist her body back and to the right, letting go her spear. She wanted the free hand to grab at his shirt and pull back to add extra momentum to trip him up.*

There it was....she let go of the spear. That was the whole point of getting inside her guard to begin with. Now, to deal with the fallout....
She was trying to trip him, but Adi wanted to get a little distance between them anyway. As he went forward, he amped up his speed with the force. Planting the butt end of the spear against the ground, he cartwheeled over it, using the weapon to keep himself from falling while using the momentum from the throw to propel him forward. Add in the extra speed he put on the movements of his body, and Matango was on his feet very rapidly. He was facing the Nightsister now, about five feet from her, butt end of the spear pointing at her, the force speed ebbing away now that his move was complete. Releasing his left hand from the weapon, he flipped it out to the side and behind him, his left hand extended a bit in front of him. He patiently waited for her to make another move.
This game of cat and mouse was about to get interesting.

*Teo watched as he moved away, as she expected held her weapon behind him. He would assume another weapon removed from her. She wouldn't even fully open her eyes, let him think they still bothered her, even bringing her hand to rub at first one, then the other, growling softly, it even sounded like a pained growl. They did sting some, but that was not a problem for her. She'd had worse.
She circled off to the left, keeping her leftfree hand out of his line of sight, and her shield arm towards him. She turned her head towards him as she sauntered along, swaying her hips. She smiled coyly as she speaks to him.*
Well... I'm still waiting for this supposed spanking.. You got me all excited, don't leave me disappointed.
*She stopped, planting her feet firmly, still ready to move at the first motion, like the snake coiling waiting to strike. Her posture settling again into her defensive stance. She would wait there all day if he didn't make a move. She would make him come to her. She assumed his next goal would be her shield, after the spear it would make sense. But then again, maybe not. Everything else he'd done was unpredictable..*

This woman really didnt know who she was up against, did she? She was lying to herself if she thought for one moment that Adi was just going to roll over for a somewhat-pretty face. He really didn't want to have to mop the floor with her, but he was about to. He had been holding back a bit, JUST giving enough to stay one step ahead of her. It was time to overwhelm her with something he was pretty sure she wouldn't know.
He tossed the spear straight up into the air to get it out of his right hand, and his left fist tightened. From the approximately six foot distance, Adieumus threw a straight, hard left punch, then a right. He repeated the motion, as if he was shadowboxing, aiming toward her head. Four times total he threw punches into the air in front of him, left right, left right. While it may have been confusing to watch, there was something else behind the four punches....the force.
Adi was well-trained in the art of projected fighting, a technique he had picked up from Dace Concordia. He had used it countless times when a well-armed or armored foe was in front of him, and he couldn't get through either the defense or armor. This wasn't necessarily one of those cases, but there was a determined Nightsister trying to ruin Adieumus' day. These punches were hard, and targeted at her face. They were thrown rapidly, one right after the other. Matango then reached his right hand into the air following the punches, catching the spear as it fell back to earth, and flipping it again up behind him. His final stance wasn't much different from his initial position, and he was just waiting to see what she was going to do. If the projected fighting was successful, he would continue the barrage. Fow now though? He was simply probing her, trying to find a weak spot in her defenses.
He had time. The woman had not laid a finger on him yet, and she wouldn't be able to. Adi wouldn't allow it. This fight was about to get very interesting indeed.

*Te'oma was training in combat since she was just a girl. She was one of the youngest to have paired with a Rancor. She lived for fighting. She watched him curiously as he tossed her spear. She was well connected with her weapon. It would be easy enough to pull back to herself using the force. It wouldn't be any different than calling a lightsaber to hand.
But she was fine letting him play with her toys. She didn't mind. She was raised to use anything, even her own body as a weapon. To remove all her weapons, he'd have to make sure she took her last breath. She could sense the gathering of the force. She may not be as keen on its use as her sister, but she wasn't a slouch. Her shield was quickly placed back on her back as it was when she first walked into the arena, She switched to a new stance, more like that of a Firedancer. She gracefully twists, ducks, and rolls towards him as he punches at her. She had prided herself on being fast, she knew she would never be big enough to win through brute force. So her strengths had to come from else where. But she did augment her movements with a bit of speed, she wanted to make sure these strikes didn't land, he outsized her enough that they could be quite punishing to land. If he didn't move She would keep advancing towards him. Trying to close distance before her spear returned to his hands. Many of the blows would very narrowly miss her.*
Would it be too much trouble to ask you for a dance, Stranger? Though, getting to know each other the last little while, has been delightful.
