Hello everyone.
Looking to get things rolling with this character and see if anyone wanted to help out. Kyra is an unrestrained A.I, and wanted to see if anyone wanted to actually work with her actual creation? I'm fine with starting her off with everything in place and just possibly joining up with someone, but thought it would be fun to start her off with her initial creation is up for that. Got the idea of what to do with her, such as using a human replica droid, a smaller wolf-like droid and a larger feline like droid that she can jump to according to her situations, but can be built upon as she's created.

Sounds like a lot of fun, building an A.I. What would her primary function be? Or have you not fleshed out that much of her program yet? I've actually got a start up for this already in place with my character. Sorta like a mix between Cortana, Jarvis, and Data... depending on the situation. Rolling with this you'd basically be an IOs for my characters slicer gauntlet that also controls his targeting array and armor. The program right now is portable and integrates with his ship as well.

The idea for Kyra is to be an unrestrained A.I, pretty much capable of full sentience and designed to understand organics and their emotions. Outside of that, she'll have combat and infiltration programs so that she can be used along side a groups forces either as her human droid body or larger feline variation. Something I saw for her down the line was reaching a point in which she would choose staying with those who created her and leaving them based upon the interactions she gained throughout her time with them.

Well you mentioned an “origin” story of sorts... so are you going to start our unrestricted or... evolve... to get that way throughout the course of the story?

Been thinking about that. To start out unrestricted, I’d say it be better if she was created by a group to be that, like the Galactic Alliance, First Order, or some other order seeking to expand the reaches of technology or to gain an edge against the enemy.
If created and paired with an individual or small group the idea of starting as something less advanced and evolving into that unrestrained state, to which she gains the extra programming for combat and such. It would also allow for progression from a datascape style existence, to hologram, eventually being place into a human replica droid. From there, she learn, adapt and form the plans for her other droid bodies and the ability to jump from one to another.
Just wanted to wait and see if anyone else has thoughts or ideas before rolling with this. Never know what new ideas can be gained and adapted.

Well, the Eternal Empire could certainly use an AI like that, that would allow them an advantage over the other factions. Could end up being something akin to the next SCORPIO. Xander Savage is heading to Iokath to find the Fleet. So maybe Kyra’s first iteration could be found there. Or he could get the idea to begin development of Kyra after returning to Zakuul. Could then get assigned to Valance to go on missions and evolve. Just a possible idea.

Well darlin, it sounds like you need a healthy mix of technology and Sith alchemy. Just so happens that my group is on Pzob right now exploring a Sith temple that has just such a mix. Some portion of your AI could be there and things could get interesting.

Some portion of your AI could be there and things could get interesting. Out of honest curiousity, why would Kyra need Sith Alchemy involved? I imagine using it with the different droid bodies would give her some advantages when in the field against Force-users, much like the creation on Mustafar, but would there be anything really needed in regards to her programming and what would that do for her? Considering Kaan was one who resided on Pzob before all this went down, it would possibly work better if he made reference to something they were working on but never finished in regards to Kyra. Otherwise, maybe found on Mustafar? Then again, still could be blueprints or something that would aid into her creation back at Iridonia or another world the Blackguard controls. On the final note, though, not sure if I want to add another character to the Blackguard, or at least until Lux is much further along. She still hasn't gotten out of her dislike for those women you look amazing and the droid body might give her competition. If what I'm gathering from Viox's posts, would be interesting to be developed and her bodies created to face those of the Blackguard that aided him against his father. I'd probably go, with finding blueprints and ideas for Kyra's creation that never got made and was made by those who found it. Gives her more ties to them instead of being found and programmed to aid someone else, which I guess could be interesting on its own.

Its not a necessity just a thought. That sort of tech isn't the 'NORM' in the star wars universe, so it makes sense there would be another player involved - that's all. Come to think of it the CHISS are known to be more technologically advanced than most... you could grab a Chiss to link your origin story to if you wanted.

My chiss is currently under lockdown on Felucia - his origin story im still holding off on tho... its sorta gunna be like an outbound flight type thing. Where the Chiss develop this technologically advanced ship to explore unknown quadrants of space but something goes wrong and the ship ends up getting stranded in space and everyone aboard dies. Kyra... could be the ships computer.

Definitely a possibility. I do agree it would make more sense for Kyra to stick with whoever created her. So someone finding the inspiration to make her would be a better storyline. I’ll keep an eye on this to see what you decide. If you end up wanting to join the Eternal Empire, let me know. Could always figure something else out, wherein Valance creates Kyra instead of Xander...

Thinking it through, I definitely want to have Kyra, herself, actually being created by those she'll be with, starting as something small. If used from a blueprint or something of that nature, she can be created without a full understanding of the bits that grant her the ability to learn and evolve. Or if being created from scratch, can be purposely added or restraints keep away. But I think the idea would be fun to start off as some other program built for a different purpose that gets screwed up somehow. Say being the defense program added into the temple to lock down the temple if the nexus began to get free, which was what kept everyone bound, kind of a Red Queen from Resident Evil. With the power be reactivated, so does the program and makes things more difficult in trying to get to the nexus, thus needing to have it destroyed. From that damaged program, Kyra could be born. Or an approach similar to the flow of EDI from Mass Effect in being a rouge V.I that was shut down before getting ungraded and reformed into EDI. This could be done on the Chiss ship, a damaged computer that caused issues in some way, maybe from being infected by a virus or something. Perhaps something of that nature involving the Eternal Empire. @valance, what is the plan and set up of the Eternal Empire on the site and how Valance feels and thinks about Xander? Altair Sirraf, what all is your character allied with, usually doing? Same for your Chiss character? Want to get an idea of who she'd be aligned and allied with as well as what the progressing future could become. Would she be seen as something more than a droid or A.I, seen, in a way, like another person, respected as such? Or is she just a piece of property, nothing more than a tool or weapon used to advanced their cause. When she gets far enough along with her evolution, she'll end up making a choice depending on the interactions she got throughout her time with them.

The Eternal Empire currently consists of Xander and myself, with the worlds being Zakuul and Bakura. However, I believe the plan is to expand some more in the Western Outer Rim and Unknown Regions, skirmishing with some of the other factions there.
As for how Valance feels about Xander? Well, Valance is kind of a model Knight of Zakuul. He believes heavily in using the Force only for the purpose of dealing Justice. He also worships the Old Gods of Zakuul. So, he’s not Xander’s biggest fan. He knows the kind of detrimental effect that the Sith have had on Zakuulan history (Vitiate, Arcann, Vaylin). But he also knows he isn’t strong enough to remove Xander yet. So for now, he is doing what he must to keep Zakuul safe. So, I mean, him developing Kyra and her eventual evolution would definitely give him an edge when fighting the enemies of Zakuul, and if/when he makes a move against Xander.
I think as she grew and evolved, Valance would teach her more about the Knights and their values. Viewing her less as a tool at first, and more as a fellow Knight as she developed more of a personality.

Altair is in command of what remains of my first characters army - Gadriel'lya back on 1.0/1.5 - He currently 'claims' to be acting on behalf of the Felucian Conclave... but he hasn't accepted orders from them since Gadriel's death/disappearance (depending on where you stand). Since his return to the known universe he's been fighting in skirmishes against the First Order (Rendilli, Jabiim, Naboo) Trying to get his army back together (Felucia, Nar-Shadda, Rendilli) and up until this point has only succeeded in losing more and more men to a seemingly endless war... that is until the Galactic Alliances rolled over and showed the FO their bellies. He hates this, seeing it as a diss to all the soldiers that have fought and died in the war... so he made his thoughts known on Contruum - where the fledgling "Resistance" (basically all the GA outcasts and scrubs) met to watch the signing of the treaty. I dont really see Altair as a joiner (soldier/assassin/hacker/splicer/pilot/scumbag sure)... but he is definitely on the outer rim of a lot of the goings on to do with the war. As for my Chiss... well... like i said i havn't really started writing him TOO much, i was waiting for a more usable Chiss Playerbase before i started in on him. But he was aboard the 'Everquest' (The ship i spoke of) and no one really knows why... because he is one of the few survivors and he's not talkin about it. (Origionally this Chiss was going to be my Darksider... but that sort of fell through when i found very little motivation to get the Everquest plotline off the ground.) Altair is currently on the cutting edge of cloning tech on Felucia... just where Gadriel was in the formation of his own army years ago. Gadriel made clone twins - (Janus: Altair's pilots and Lucian and Jez:Hammerhead corvette pilots currently on Felucia running his cloning program - dont ask, resources are short) who are capable of simultaneous thought while retaining individual Identity, basically they can think and act as one (think Pacific Rim... ish...) Anyways Altair is looking to One Up the Jedi by making a Super Soldier Clone for the War against the First Order. Which is currently why i've taken over the Cloning Center on Felucia for my experiments/research/holding center. Further information is classified concerning this project... sorry. *smirk* Anyways because of this... Altair would see Kyra (once he realized what it was he had created/discovered/uncovered) as less of a piece of technology and moreso of a fledgling independent lifeform... of some type. Needless to say the interaction would have to define the exact feelings and reactions towards the thing, but more or less Kyra would be an interesting thing/person/droid to have around... especially for all the tech shit i've got planned in the coming future. For Instance

I think as she grew and evolved, Valance would teach her more about the Knights and their values. Viewing her less as a tool at first, and more as a fellow Knight as she developed more of a personality. Ok, cool. My initial assumption was there would be a difference of opinion in what the Eternal Empire was to truly be between the two. Never got anywhere near that part of the story on SWTOR, so I know little about it, outside of the Sith influence. The initial trailer gave a decent glimpse as to the differing sides based on serving true and eternal justice and following the command of the Dark Side and Sith. Definitely want to go through and read what you two have been forming regardless of where Kyra goes. The impression I get from them is a rather intense variation of the Alliance/Jedi whose goals aren't playing peacekeeper and fighting Sith, but being direct and dealing justice as is required, no matter who or where the injustice comes from. How exactly would you define the Eternal Empire from Valance's perspective? Altair is in command of what remains of my first characters army - Gadriel'lya back on 1.0/1.5 - He currently 'claims' to be acting on behalf of the Felucian Conclave... but he hasn't accepted orders from them since Gadriel's death/disappearance (depending on where you stand). For InstanceSo Altair is a mercenary of sorts, if not a self-employed one, who once served the Jedi and fought side the Alliance against the First Order, though has little care for them due to ultimately letting the First Order have their way just to stop fighting and wasting the lives of those who sacrificed them to stop the FO. In the end, he intends to create the army/one super soldier to bring the FO to its knees where the Alliance and Jedi just gave up? Forgive me, both of you, if my interpretations are off in reiterating your characters and their alignment. Just trying to connect it into my understanding a bit better. Sometimes, if you don't read the story through, the full depth of a character and who they are can't be fully explained in a quick post.

No need to apologize at all. As you said, you’re trying to get an understanding of our characters so that you can make a decision on where to start writing. Not exactly an easy task to do.
I’d imagine Xander most definitely has a different view to Valance as to what the Eternal Empire is and should be. But I won’t make any assumptions and leave that up to him to confirm or deny. As for the historical Eternal Empire... well, the trailers do something of a decent job trying to show what it’s about. Or at least, what it is meant to be about. It just kind of got a little muddied by the whole Sith Emperor creating it and his son and daughter being driven to the dark side... It’s a pretty decent storyline and Wookieepedia has some fairly good articles touching on the Eternal Empire and the Knights of Zakuul. I mean, your explanation is fairly spot on when it comes down to the most basic understanding.
As for how Valance would describe the Eternal Empire and the Knights of Zakuul: basically the Eternal Empire is meant to be this leading example of Justice. From Valance’s point of view, the Jedi and Sith are far too corrupted by their extreme teachings. They both advocate a use of the Force for the good of their own Orders and themselves. Unlike them, the Knights of Zakuul do not practice using the Force beyond its application in dealing justice. While the game mechanics might not be the best example, I think it really shows their ideals. When you engage a Knight of Zakuul, their primary force attacks are knock backs and stuns. They don’t have hugely offensive and defensive Force powers (at least, not that I’ve encountered or remember). Which makes sense, because if you want to catch a criminal, you want to subdue them. If you have to block an attack, you use your shield and armor. If you need to fight, you’ve got a perfectly good lightsaber pike, as well as a number of armed and unarmed skills.
I try to give Valance a bit of a Lawful Good/Neutral Good approach. He is beholden to the idea of Justice and won’t compromise from it. Except of course where Xander is concerned (for obvious power level differences). But like, he won’t concede control of somewhere to a gang of criminals provided they promise to “be good”.
In an ideal world, Valance wants the Eternal Empire to be about true justice this time. Untainted by the actions of another Arcann or Vaylin. Everyone is equal so long as they obey the most basic tenets of law, regardless of their species. It’s basically the Empire, with the mindset of the Republic, I think is a good explanation.
I hope this wasn’t too much of a large data dump, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask for any clarification.

I must say, I certainly love the approach for these stories. Both characters have a real depth or a coming depth with the evolving situation. Which is nice considering a lot of times when seeking to do something its "hey I want to do this" and "hey come join us." And the creation of Kyra really has some really good reasoning behind her creation. I love that.
I'm really curious about the creation of the Eternal Empire and seeing where that road leads between Xander and Valance, as well as working to help get the Eternal Empire building up a little bit. Also, while it may not be the initial intention of her creation, her evolution would be a value against Xander's A.I. And considering they'll possibly be some interaction with or against his son, Viox, it would aid in countering his A.I. as well.
That being said, I really want to go back and start reading through the story behind Altair in regards to the war with the First Order and what has led him to this point. After I get Kyra going and see where things land, I may create another A.I, perhaps not to the same level as Kyra, to run with Altair or even play a clone, perhaps an early/ first attempt at creating this super soldier. Is enhanced, but nowhere near the level desired if you're up for that.
