The cloning facilities of Khomm seemed to operate day and night without end. New batches of clones were being produced almost constantly and provided the training necessary for what ever position or role they were to be placed into. For a majority of the Clones, this meant standard Stormtrooper training. But a small handful were set aside to receiving the special intensive training courses that would see them become the next wave of Purge Troopers for the Knights of Ren. Trainers were watched meticulously and would be swapped out regularly to ensure that the programs maintained peak performance. Any slip up in the quality of the training provided could lead to sub optimal Purge Troopers, and that was not acceptable

Khommites never seem to be disapproving of the Empire's desire for their cloning facilities. When Arkania was taken, they did worry about their role, yet it endured. Instead, the First Order dedicated their technology to aiding the Knights of Ren and the local garrisons of the Deep Core. It proved its worth, it had long done so anyways. It pleased the Emperor for he knew their role and how much it had aided in the days when the Deep Core Remnant was limited to this region. Their clones had aided in ensuring the Imperial Army's ranks were filled.

Captain Malian of the Humanitarian fleet was a long time Imperial officer. His family had served under most Empires before him. They were very xenophobic, he often caught himself with those same instincts. In his mind it made him unqualified for this task, though he expected this was the exact reason the Grand Moff had given it to him. The geneticists here were some of the best in the First Order, the Humanitarian Fleet needed a few more, so here he was recruiting non humans. Everyone was nice to him, mostly, they seemed to respect the uniform.

Malian hated to admit that he had begun to respect the results here. They had made great strides in growing cloned organs. This could be a major breakthrough. An ability to keep people totally organic after trauma. If this proved to work they would no longer need to replace limbs and organs with cybernetics. He had tried to steer resources to human organs, but he was stimmed, he should have been more subtle. He was learning a lot about alien physiology, xenophobia aside, he loved learning.

If Captain Malian had needed anybody to blame for his efforts being stymied, it was Governor Haro Bibble beyond a doubt. The Imperial Administrator had learned of the Captain's efforts both to recruit Khommite Geneticists and direct resources toward organic organ replacements. The former was a non starter for him, given the work the Khommite Geneticists were doing to produce and train the Purge Troopers. The latter matter, however, was something he could use.
As such, he summoned the minion of Standash Thul to the Imperial Administrative Complex on Khomm, where Haro was currently occupying the Administrator's office while on a visit to the world. He examined a number of reports as he waited

The middle aged officer entered the complex. he had switched to if meeting uniform. It was identical to the ones he wore every day, save that this one was always kept pressed in a vacuum box. He was one to pull out the formal dress too often, he worked for a living. He did however want to look the best in certain situations. Some would have been worried about this meeting., but he wasn't. Yes, his push for more research into human replacements may not have had totally above board reasons, but there were enough practical reasons for the focus. He had agreed to meet with the governor and was there 5 min before the scheduled meeting time. He was punctual, but he did have jobs to do. He had hopped to add wax to his salt and pepper mustache and hair, but that wasn't practical.

The receptionist noted Captain Malian's arrival, but Governor Bibble waited until the time of the meeting before signaling for his reception to let the Captain in. Haro was sat behind a large desk with datapads sprawled across it, tracking information across the Deep Core worlds. He waited until the doors opened and then closed, before turning his gaze from a holo screen towards Malian Welcome Captain, please come and have a seat so we can have a little chat...

Haro moved a couple datapad's aside, before pulling one out detailing the Captain's actions since his arrival on Khomm. Haro handed it over for Malian to look at and review. He wasn't much sure how the Captain would react to knowing he was being surveilled. Though it should come as no surprise, given that Imperial Intelligence was generally doing much of the same thing across the rest of the First Order You've been quite busy, Captain. And while I understand the Emperor is quite enamored with this Humanitarian Fleet that Grand Moff Thul created, let me make it clear that I do not share his enthusiasm. I, and more importantly the Knights of Ren, do not take kindly to outsiders trying to poach our resources. The geneticists of Arkania should more than suit your fleets needs... However, I am aware you've taken a keen interest in certain research here. Research which I could... help see progressed, instead of suppressed...

I of course meant no intrusion, Governor. I am just following my orders. The cloners here are among the best in the First Order. I do believe I have collogues on Arkania doing this same task. The Khommite technique is showing more promise at growing universal templets. I was tasked with seeing with seeing if this would be better at helping all races inside the First Order. He was impressed, he almost convinced himself that he believed it.I am not here to take resources or even people, this isn't a recruiting trip. I was sent to observe and research.

The Captain was certainly good. He played his part well, something Haro could admire Yes, I'm sure you didn't mean to intrude... Whether the Khommite technique is showing more promise or not at growing universal templates for the good of all races is of little interest to me, Captain. My purview is the Deep Core and the Knights of Ren, and making sure they both succeed. And that means ensuring you know your place here... As long as I have your word that you will only research and observe, then you may consider me a neutral party and your research interest will go unhindered. But should you do otherwise, you will find me a bitter enemy. Is that clear?

All of this was satisfactory, and lined up with his goals and order. The Captain wasn't overly proud, but he still didn't appreciate being threatened. He wasn't bout to openly defy the governor, that would make life difficult for his superiors. He had served long enough to know that was never a good choice or career move. Despite this, he did have to respond to the challenge dropped here. He gave the governor a diplomatic smile.Of course, the Fleet is open to any citizens of the First Order that wish to serve. Anything that is for the good of the Emperor is a good thing for all of us.

Captain Malian had occupied far too much of the Governor's time already. But he could not resist scoffing at the Captain's comments That remains yet to be seen Captain... A great many things have been done under the premise of being for the good of the Emperor... And yet some of lost their heads for their actions while doing such. Farewell Captain... Bibble motioned with his hand for the Captain to take his leave of the office. Much and more paperwork needed to be done, with increasingly complex issues requiring his attention

Heh'l City was truly a city of clones considering how Khommites 'bred'. Easily, one could spot twins, triplets, quads, or more if they headed down the main street. It was amazing how such a culture could still tell the difference between one clone over another. There were whole bloodlines and heritages based around the generations upon generations of clones that all shared a common DNA strand, such as the more well known House of Dorsk, that supplied two notable persons to the Jedi Order under Luke Skywalker. Perhaps, another reason why this place was well placed within the Empire's hierarchy was the attention to the cloning process that made them more mature and capable. True, Kaminoan designed clones were made to be more warrior-like and easier to multiply while Arkanian Microtechnologies seemed to focus on the more experimental forms of cloning, such as Force-wielding clones of the Galactic Empire. Khommite cloning created more matured and thoroughly bred individuals that had a greater potential. Perhaps this is why the Ren favored them above conscripts.

Missionary of the Obsidian Order
Much like upon Prakith, the Obsidian Order also very quickly and relatively appeared upon Khomm. While the local populace was not particularly taken by the new religion, the Imperials definitely paid attention. Some were curious, while others dived in head first. A fact which, in truth, was not overly concerning. The Magisterium had requirements for only a small group of loyalists they could rely upon for intel, reconnaissance, and basic missions on a given world. The last of which did occasionally involved industrial sabotage of one kind or another

The Obsidian Order retained a small sect upon Khomm in terms of membership, but certainly the cloners did seem taken in by the messages the Missionaries spread. They had regarded the Ren with some suspicion, but had found business with them to be beneficial through the major cloning operations. But with improving outlooks, some of the medium sized and smaller operations were starting to submit tenders for business with the Ren. The Magisterium also started making subtle inquiries into various small operations, in the hopes of securing some work of their own. While the Nox and Lux Cathedral's had their own cloning and training facilities, it never hurt to have backup operations available for redundancy

The cloners of Khomm were working hard as new orders came in from the Ren for additional Purge Trooper units. Governor Bibble oversaw the entire operation personally and ensured security remained vigilant. Helping in this endeavour was an array of Cazador-class Star Destroyers, Pacificador-class Battlecarriers, a pair of Aniquilador-class Battlecruisers, and an array of frigates and cruisers such as the Colmenar-class Fast Transport, Vencedor-class Star Destroyer, and all the way up to Cargador-class Carriers. Surtidor-class Heavy Cruisers were busy landing and receiving new Purge Trooper units which were transported across the Deep Core to Ren held worlds. While others were transported to ships where they would serve for coming events

News of the Ren's move against Kuat and the Coup on Coruscant had reached Khomm. Given their loyalties to the Knights, many on the world reacted with glee, knowing if was their clones now marching in the ranks as Purge Troopers. But there was a contingent that were less eager. Those that felt loyalty toward the Throne and the betrayal this represented did not sit well with them. However they knew better than to try make their views known publicly. Instead choosing to keep their resistance and opposition to the privacy of like-minded individuals. After all, the Magisterium had many ears and eyes and would soon enough handle any that sought to cause trouble
