As the Halcyon broke into orbit, the rest of her crew were making it into the cockpit as they were trailing the Lepota and the last U-Wing making its escape. However, it was soon apparent they were not alone as turbolaser fire started peppering the space around them and their allies. Sithspit!
I guess the First Order patrol came back around! Allas pulled the Halcyon this way and that, dodging the incoming fire as best she could while the comms calls played over the cockpit speakers. Haley and Braden looked ready to run back and launch their starfighters, but Katja stopped them with only a glance Don't be stupid, the Aethersprites don't have hyperdrives. If we jump out of here, you'd be stuck here. We'd be trading one ships escape for two being stuck here. We'll cover their escape as best we can to safety, but no one leaves the ship. Now get on the guns! Neither Haley nor Braden seemed happy about the decision, but they could understand her reasoning. They gave a nod of their heads before heading for the gun control stations, with Chekk and Elias following after them to make sure they didn't do anything rash. Allas meanwhile did her best to dodge the Star Destroyers shots, with those lucky few that did land hits or grazes being absorbed by the Shields for now. However both Allas and Katja knew that they could only last so long in such a precarious situation before they would need to escape to safety. Whatever Endor was planning, hopefully he could achieve it quickly.

EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate - Mossflower All hands, secure anything not bolted to the floor and strap in. Overdrive initiating in 30 seconds. Drenlin took his finger off the comm button of the command chair on the bridge of the Mossflower, his face a mixed mask of annoyance and dread. Why hadn't he taken that post at Incom? Yeah, the ewok assembly line workers made him want to pull his hair out, but at least it was safe. Damn that bushy bearded pilot and his rebel rousing speeches. The agent reached over his own shoulder and pulled the safety restraint there across his body, buckling it in so that he too wouldn't go flying out of his seat when they activated the frigates experimental SLAM system. The overdrive device had never been designed to operate on a ship this large, for obvious reasons. The strain it pull on the hull was immense, not to mention it was dangerous for the crew that operated inside of it. Fortunately the last time they had used it, which was during their daring rescue of a CDF corvette out near Drall, the ship hadn't exploded. It had however torn off several of the hull plates and put a slight bend in the ship's skeleton. He supposed to be fair they had used the SLAM several times in that instance, and this only called for one...no, probably two uses. It might work, probably...hopefully.Every other rebel officer stationed on the bridge was doing likewise, locking in safety harnesses and belts, though he could see a portly looking Ugnaught still sipping from a cup of stim-caf. "Porgs on pogo-sticks! Put that away you gamorrean half-wit." Then quickly added. "I have spoken." You had to speak to Ugnaughts a certain way to get the message across. The short porcine officer grunted and dumped the drink in the trash recepticle beside his station. With that out of the way, they were just about ready. Drenlin leaned on the comm button one last time, transmitting to the U-wing gunship the General was on. "Okay, Endor. We're coming." Endor looked over his shoulder at Vaughan, a big grin splitting his bearded features. "Oh, I'm more than sure. I'm pretty sure, which is practically close to certain." He winked at the blonde haired rebel, then turned his head towards the dashboard as he heard the com-link crackle. Okay, Endor. We're coming. If it was possible, the General's grin stretched even wider. He raised a hand and pointed towards the far right of the cockpit window where the Mossflower could just be made out in the distance. "You're going to want to see this. Heh." He pulled his hand back to the steering yoke as a bright red flash zipped across their nose from the Resurgent, reminding them that it was still on their tail and closing quickly.
"Hang on to your seats." Said Drenlin, then nodded his head at the Bothan seated behind the astrogation station. "Punch it." As the SLAM was activated, the rebel agent's stomach churned as the Nebulon-B lurched forwards, leaping a few thousand kilometers in the span of a couple seconds. The stars briefly blurred together before the captain's eyes, which in turn felt like they were being sucked back into their sockets, as the inertial compensators struggled to deal with the sudden rapid shift in speed. It all came to an end a few seconds later as the micro-jump completed and the Mossflower suddenly appeared directly ahead of the fleeing rebel ships, which also put it practically in range of the guns of the warship that was chasing them."Open the hangar." He said, then leaned on the comm button. "Endor, get your butt in here so we can blow this popsicle stand."
Endor, get your butt in here so we can blow this popsicle stand. "Aye, aye." He chuckled, pushing forwards on the accelerator all the way as he angled the U-Wing towards the very narrow hangar entrance.

If you were looking for someone to fill you with confidence, Endor was not that man. His responses were more likely to fill you with dread as some new crazed and death defying attempt was made. Vaughan gripped the rails and the back of the seat more tightly as his attention was pulled over to where the Mossflower was. Instinctively he ducked as the shot barely missed them and exploded some distance ahead of them.
It was then that two things happened simultaneously: The first was the Mossflower seemingly disappearing and re-appearing in front of the U-Wing - a feat for which he was both impressed and amazed by. The second thing was the emergence of the Gungnir-class Star Destroyer somewhere above the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. An event for which Vaughan's attention was immediately drawn to. There had only been one of the Gungnir-class produced during the days of the Coalition that he was aware of. How many had come into production since then was unknown, but given the odds, Vaughan knew exactly who was at those controls.
From this distance, it was easy to see the Fire Linked Ion/Plasma Cannons charging up and releasing their helix-like entwined bolts toward the Resurgent. Vaughan finally allowed himself his own grin which grew wider as the radio message came through The People of Haven send their Regards... But before much more of the show could be seen, the U-Wing slipped into the hangar bay of the Mossflower. But although he could not see it, the Gungnir was already charging up a second shot while the Turbolasers and missile launchers hounded away at the Resurgent. Vaughan let go of the handholds he'd been gripping and rushed back to the troop bay to oversee the med team unloading his sister and carting her off to the medical bay. With their mission over, his focus now turned toward her condition and keeping her alive

Allas did her best to keep the Halcyon close to the U-wing and the Lepota to provide covering fire whilst also dodging the incoming turbolaser bolts. Katja knew she'd made the right choice in choosing the Arkanian to fly the Halcyon after that incident on Ord Mantell. She still couldn't believe what she'd seen back then, but Allas had been the only one to walk away from it, and that had been enough to make the decision. Pilots like Allas were a rarity and only a fool would have passed up the moment. Now she was proving why that faith had been warranted.
With the piloting sorted out, Katja made sure the jump co-ordinates were set in and kept an eye on the battle. Her focus returning to the events playing out when the Mossflower made an almost impossible jump across the battlefield, and the Gungnir appeared from hyperspace and started pounding away at the Resurgent-class with a main gun shot that she'd only ever heard stories about Those crazy bastards... I'd heard stories but I never thought I'd see one in person...
What the hell is that?
Not sure about that ship specifically, but that main gun? it's based on the Aggressor-class Star Destroyer... Eyes ahead! Allas banked hard dodging the Mossflower now that it was much closer. She banked them hard into a spin and flew beneath and around to the far side, placing the Rebel capital ship between them and the Resurgent That was close... Hopefully we can all get out of here soon!

As the U-Wing zipped into the hangar, Endor hit the brakes at the last minute, reverse firing the thrusters while spinning them around so the gunship slid into a full 180 before coming to an abrupt stop. He was already, pounding on the com-link with a thick callused finger. Click-Click-Click! Drenlin, we're in! Get us out of here! Now facing the direction of the hangar entrance, the General watched the star speckled tapestry of space run together as the Mossflower lurched into the corridors of hyperspace, hurtling to lightspeed against the swirling blue banded background. Finally relaxing, the former woodsman turned rebel organizer let out a breath and ran a hand through his damp and mane of hair, still sticky with blood from the fight on the surface. "Looks like we made it. I can't believe it." He reached into the pocket of his flight jacket and took out a handful of credit chips. "Tarfang will be pleased he won another bet."
Pulling himself out of his seat, Endor made his way to the back of the ship where Vaughan and his team were. Good job everyone. You've done the Rebellion proud this day." He offered them all a wide smile that seemed to jiggle his beard as he talked. "We should be arriving at the Home Two in a few hours. Drinks at Maarva's are on me." He stopped, patting his pocket as he remembered he owed a very grouchy one eyed teddy bear more than a few credits. "The first few rounds, anyways. After that, drinks are on Tarfang, because I'll be out of credits. Heh." Burying his poverty with laughter, the General put a hand on Vaughan's shoulder and leaned in, lowering his voice so only his fellow General could hear. "That ship that helped get the Resurgent off are butt, I heard the message. That was your people, right?"

The Gungnir stayed engaged with the Resurgent-class until the Rebel fleet started jumping to Hyperspace. The Captain made sure a final shot was let off at the Star Destroyer, before it too disappeared once more into Hyperspace...
A cheer went up from the Corellian Operators, glad for rounds of drinks for which they would not need to pay, Dyami foremost amongst them. As the medics carted Alicia off, Vaughan came to a stop as he felt Endor's hand come to rest on his shoulder. He turned to face the red-bearded General and offered up a faint smirk. There was a lot going on, but perhaps for just a moment he could join the revelry Yes... I do believe that was. We're a little short handed getting set up, but it seems they were able to spare the Gungnir for a short relief mission...

As soon as the U-Wing disappeared into the Mossflower's hangar bay, Allas pulled the Halcyon from its current attack and punched the hyperdrive controls, causing the Wayfarer-class Medium Transport to disappear in a flash of light
