The archives, he hoped they might help him decide upon his next course of action.
He took his time locating and noting down all the sects, branches and various orders.
He was not sure of his path anymore but force willing he would find the right one and with the coordinates in hand he would set about researching each, one might call it hands on experience, besides if all he had known was the Jedi way what experience did he have of anything outside of that.
Leaving the archives now having set his mind on a personal mission of discovery he headed toward the hangar bay.

Steffo RancisWalking into the Archives Zed looked around. The Goatal had given him a name, but nothing else to go on. Looking around at the dozens of people in the archives no one stood out as a Madam Lu San. Not wanting to stand there like a fool he strode up to a couple of younger looking patrons of the library and asked where he could find Lu San. Without looking up from their studies they both pointed towards an older looking woman who was walking around helping out when asked. Approaching her Zed waited until she wasn't busy before speaking to her.

Lu San aas a diminutive female Chandra fan, her face wrinkled and lined and within every wrinkle there was etched a story, age had bent her body and she now spent her remaining years shuffling around the archives and to many she may be overlooked, yet only a fool would overlook one as old and wizened as she.
The shuffling of her feet and the tap of her cane came to a stop as a student gestured behind her that she had someone who required her assistance. She slowly turned and took in what she could see of the man before her. She called out to him in a strong but gentle voice that defied her years.
"Ahhh a visitor, would mind accompanying an old lady."
She held out her hand so that she might link his arm for support as she subtly guided Zed to a quieter corner, then releasing his arm she gestured to a comfortable chair.
"Sit, do sit my dear, tea, or caf?"
She shuffled over to a small side table where there lay two cups and a steaming pot of tea and caf as though she were prepared for this very moment.
She poured him a cup of tea and stirred the liquid.
"You have travelled some dustance to visit our humble archive have you not?"
The question was almost rhetorical in nature, she then turned and shuffled over to the seated Zed and slid the cup onto the table.
"Let me look upon you then."
She gently cupped his face in her hands and brought him to her eye level, two bright and very alert eyes peered out from amidst the wrinkles and she smiled gently.
"Thank you serie for obliging an old lady."
She then shuffled over to a small comfortable chair and sat serenely and sipped on her tea waiting for Zed to talk.

Doing as the elderly woman wanted he let her guide him to a seat and pour him a drink. She was odd to be sure, but as it so often was any species regardless of their advanced age were prone to oddities from their youth. Even Zed, a being that could live for centuries may seem odd to those who lived shorter lifespans.
You have no idea just how long I have traveled to visit here. It is a lot harder to get here than I assumed.
As he spoke Zed removed his mask to show a deeply sunken and ashy face. There was something about this woman that put him at ease, and there were few places in the galaxy as safe as here amoung the Jedi. Blowing on the tea provided he took a sip finding it somewhat sweet and fruity with nutty undertones. No doubt it was made from one of the many fungi on the planet.
I have come to seek the knowledge of the Jedi. A few years ago I came across a fragment of information but much of it was destroyed and I hope to learn more about it. No where else I have been has had a mention of it, or if it did it was removed and hidden long ago.
Leaning in closer to Lu San Zed spoke with a low voice.
I am looking for information about Holocrons.
Knowing what a cloesly guarded secret they were Zed knew it was a risk asking a random Jedi it was. She may not even know what they were. It was a risk he was willing to take though.

Aged, old and wise Lu San had seen much and read and studied even more, already she had taken in the humanoid armour, secondly that she could not sense him in the force, could she not see him, she would not know he were there at all, thus already she had drawn conclusion. He was not nearly covert enough or loud enough to be a Sith, and yet he clearly wanted to remain hidden, what was most telling was his armour that was clearly modeled on an animal of sort, so if her reading and memory served it was highly likely the being before her was a Jensaarai or at least a practitioner of their ways and arts.
She set her cup down at looked at him her eyebrows arching slightly.
"Well you are indeed forward my dear but I cannot say I dislike that, tell me what you already know of holocrons? For I am certain I don't wish to tell a Bantha how to walk straight."
There was more going on here than she first thought, but all would reveal itself in good time, again she assumed hus knowledge would be in depth on what holocrons were, what they did and there uses but she wanted to hear it from him.

I know more than the average citizen of the galaxy but a lot less than I need to know.
Taking another sip of the tea he thought of how best to present his knowledge without giving it all away.
I have seen bits and pieces about their construction and know its very complicated. And I know that they contain knowledge, sometimes hidden and sometimes not depending on who made it. Sadly I haven't had a chance to see one in person because of their rarity but I hope to get the chance one day.
This was an outright lie. In truth Zed knew all the ins and outs of constructing one, and although he had not attempted to make one he had seen several. Handled several. He had even opened more than a few of the Jensaarai Holocrons that had been left in the temple after its destruction. All of them now hidden along with everything else that had been left there by the Mandalorians and fleeing Jensaarai. Despite the prodigious knowledge inside them none of them could answer the questions he now sought, their order knew lots but relativistically in the galaxy their order was a new one and he needed someone older.

She studied him a moment her face unreadable, passive and unchanging. Then it almost seemed to take on a look of sympathy.
"They indeed contain knowledge, vast knowledge on a vast many subjects, some are also gateways to truths and answers beyond even what lie within the holocrons themselves, yet not always is it the answer we seek, there are few who can stan or tolerate some of the truths they hold."
She pointed a telling finger at Zed.
Her eyes narrowed and she scrutinised him further.
"There is now an apparent hunger in you my dear, one must be careful of such ambitions when one searches for the truth or answers they seek... which brings us to the pressing question now, doesn't it?"
She leant forward in her chair, her bright eyes now staring into his.
"What knowledge do you need, to know that you believe you do not have, what burdens a man such as yourself to risk travelling as far as you have, to come to a place such as this, you were not expecting likely friends here.... and yet you came, at great risk, why?"

It finally dawned on him how perceptive this woman was. He could see the intelligence in her eyes. Despite her age her mind clearly hadn't gone yet.
What don't I want Master San? I want to know more. Knowledge has always been my one great love in this universe and the pursuit of it is one of the things that has kept me going. Now though I need something else, and that is the thing isn't it. What do I need versus what do I want?
He leaned forward and lowered his voice so only he could hear him.
I need a place to be safe, where people like me can be safe. I need knowledge long lost so that no one can find us whilst we remain hidden. I need to know what happens when two Holocrons are combined.
Leaning back in his chair once again and continued on normally.
I dont seek this knowledge out of ambition or to achieve greatness. I only want two things in my life and I feel like you may be able to help me with one of them.

She leaned forward still listening to him her head cocked a little to one side when he had finished speaking she nodded once slowly.
"Hmmmm."
She rubbed her aged chin as she arranged her thoughts.
"Be careful of the shadow of greed, hunger of any kind can lead to dark places, I am sure I do not need to remind YOU of that though."
She then looked upon him with a kindness in her eyes, almost a pity.
"Thank you my dear for trusting me with the truth, I sense no malice in your actions and if there is aid I can give you I will. You must understand there are certain things I am restricted by and as such cannot and will not do. I would alas not forsake the Jedi Order and the position I have here, yet we are taught to help and guide where we can and so this I will do."
She rose slowly and stretching out a hand summoned a short wooden cane from the corner of the room, she nodded again and then said.
"Come."
She beckoned him with a slight gesture of her hand and began to shuffle her way out of the side room and down the long stretch of the archives toward the holocron vaults making sure he followed.

I would never ask you to do something that would lead to your leaving the Jedi Order Master San. I only ask that you do as your heart tells you to.
Following behind the old Master Zed ensured to keep his pace up with that of the older woman but keeping a respectful distance behind her as a pupil would do a master.

She leads Zed through and into a much smaller space, once they have passed the vaulted door it slides shut behind the, and the lights flicker on to illuminate a hexagonal room with each of its six sided walls stretching several metres up toward a domed ceiling the entire holocron vault is bathed in a pale blue light from the hundreds and quite possibly thousands of holocron stored here.
She turns around to him and gestures around her.
"Welcome to the holocron vaults of the Felucian conclave, we are proud to host the largest collection of holocrons amongst the Jedi temples and orders and we are very fortunate and privileged to be entrusted with this burden. You mentioned wanting to find a safe place to go, yes? Did you have someplace in mind, a region in space perhaps? Knowing a little more will help me pinpoint holocrons that may be of most use."

Zed stared in awe at the holocrons around him. He had seen many in his time, but the Jensaarai collection paled in comparison to this vault. The vast amount of collected knowledge stunned him, there was more to be learned in this vault than could be learned is several oh his lifetimes. Involuntarily he raised his right hand and reached out wanting to touch one but stopped himself and brought his hand back down.
We have been hunted time and time again through known space. I think we need to look towards the unknown so that people may never be able to find us unless we tell them how. You will have to excuse my secrecy Master San but you must understand there are things I do not wish to speak about not just to protect myself but others like me. When we set out to find somewhere we were hoping to find places with a deep rooted connection to the Force. Many of us have a deep affinity to it despite not being practitioners. We are seekers of truth and knowledge and want to protect the knowledge we find. Perhaps there are find a place that once housed Jedi

Achiira let out a giggle at the old mans wit, which seemed comforting considering she thought of him to be quite serious and stern, maybe even a little bit scary. Atuna’s playful and joking manner seemed only to irritate the ever more impatient son of his, which Achiira found bizarre considering the boy’s age.
Lucky for Titus, three of them were pretty much upon the library doors now, Achiira motioning to take a turn at the next left.
“The Library is just at this next left, Titus”, she said smiling at the boy, wondering if he would be able to notice her doing so.
It wouldn’t be long until Achiira could finally get some time with Atuna and figuring out exactly the meaning of them both being here meant. She felt excited, nervous and yet quite overwhelmed at what she might learn. Yet she couldn’t help but wonder if Atuna would train her if it came to that, considering he hadn’t really trained his own son.
She looked up to Atuna as the library doors opened. “ I can go and get us some tea from somewhere if you like ?” "Ah, I don't drink a lot of tea. Caffeine and I are not on speaking terms anymore. Too many long nights. But I would love some water if there's any around."One pass of the Archives left Atuna impressed. No archive was ever going to be complete, but this one had a size comparable to that of the ones he grew up in. For a temple on as backwater of a planet as Felucia, it was far more expansive than he had originally hoped it would be. Although the contents of the tomes and data servers was still a mystery to him, with the sheer volume of information that could potentially be stored here was too much to assume it was all worthless. Some of it had to be relevant. He nodded once as his head swiveled from left to right in gesticulatory observation."So... were we meeting someone here? I've gone and forgotten the plan already."
