So out of curiousity, what is the DJO doing about ships? Debating if Gavin will eventually take control of a fleet or not. Obviously, Sorosuub falls in here but is there anything else? Will they also use the Blackguard ships or will they seek others so as to find some difference from the Sith?

Initially, and probably for a while, they'll be primarily using Blackguard ships, just with modified paint schemes to be in line with the DJO. We will build out the Crusader Navy as we grow in strength. And if we ever manage to get our own shipwright or Cirdan Spiros could be persuaded to design some ships for the DJO IC, then we might look at some unique vessels. Probably wont be a great variety of ships if we did. At most, we'd get some unique looking flagships for a couple different class sizes, while the rest of the fleet would be filled with BGR ships. I have some rough thoughts already, but let me know what you were thinking. |

Mostly just out of curiousity on my end. Been talking with Mariah and both us debating the idea of creating fleets, names for them, and what ships would be available. I continually search for concept designs so I have plenty of interests and if anything stands out in any form, I’ll be sure to bring it up. What did you have in mind?

Going to have to do some concept art searches, but main aim would be something star destroyer or light star destroyer sized, maybe a couple freighter/personal ship options, and a starfighter design or two. Just to give some variety without trying to have a ship class for every possible role in fleet combat, ya know?

Gotcha. I'll take a look around and see what kind of options I can find. Anything specific you had in mind for designs? Typical wedge-shaped, something blocky, more along the old Sith battleships, or even curvier like Mon Cal ships? Or something more along the lines of look until something catches your attention?
Definitely want to do my part both IC and OOC to help develop and grow the DJO. Be it new ideas or helping sort out and help give life to the vision you and Mariah have for the order. That way you don't have to do it alone. Need any help, just ask.

Your best bet, considering Cirdans writers absence, is to roleplay directly with SoroSuub to get your ships created. Otherwise, Malvus can be of help. Since I did create the original 4 Harrower-class variants that resulted in the mass Sith ships of the Spiran Reform.

Honestly? A combination of all of the above? No, honestly I'm not hundred percent sure. Probably once I see something I really like, I'll know. But at the same time, I'd like to find stuff that has a similar aesthetic across the various sizes, just so that when you look at any of their ships, you know they belong together.
I would like to be a bit more specific in my... ideas, but not sure I can be just yet. If you find anything you think looks cool, toss it to myself and Mariah in a PM, just so we don't flood the thread with ship images.

In effect, he doesn't like people holding back because of civilian casualties and whatnot, since he thinks that limits the potential of the warship and feels personally insulted by such a thing. So basically, if you care about innocents, look elsewhere for a shipbuilder.
