Mok sat back, enjoying the scene playing out in front of him. His fleet was hammering their opponents, causing chaos. This chaos would allow him to devastate the enemy fleet, leaving nothing in his way of claiming this world for himself. He was shaken from his daydreaming when a large salvo of projectiles stuck the deflector shields. "Sir, I calculate that the opponent has a 10% chance of failure. The enemy ships are either damaged or destroyed . We are moving in to finish them off. Then we will begin landing our troops on the planet's surface," saud the super tactical droid. "Good, good. We will crush them to pieces now. They won't stand a chance, not after what we have planned." He began chuckling as he watched the frigates firing upon the enemy, further damaging it. As the bombers rained explosives upon various ships, he sat back in his chair, feeling as though victory was just around the corner.
Little did he realize that at this point, a cloaked corvette was sneaking toward one of his cruisers, preparing to turn Mok's situation from rosy to desperately dangerous.

As the small corvette docked silently and undetected with the Munificent Class Star Frigate, the troops were all apprehensive. After all, through that hatch there could be a billion enemy troops just waiting for them to poke their heads up through the hatch. However, they managed to board undetected before the corvette had to detach in order to help defend the fleet. As they moved carefully through the hallways of the ships, they heard battle droids moving about the ship. "This is Spectre 2, Spectre 2, I've got super battle droids going down corridor E." Specrltre 2 pulled back behind a wall as the rest of his team slowly snuck towards him. "This is Spectre Leader, I want all troops prepared for a fight. We are at the back of the ship. We're gonna have to fight our way forward." Spectre 3 was the first to reach them, and proceeded to attack them with his electrostaff, taking out one super battle droid. "This is Spectre 3 I've got contact! Engaging hostiles at the junction of corridors E and F. I make 1 destroyer and 2 super battle droids! Spectre 4 arrived next, and with a flourish he destroyed the two remaining super battle droids before melting away into the shadows. This is Spectre 4, I make 1 destroyer. Spectre 5 lobbed a small EMP around the corner, taking out the droideka. "This is Spectre 5, I make 0 hostiles. This junction is clear. However, I've recieved word from the fleet. They are saying that Berserker crashed on board this ship. He must be somewhere on board, probably near the hangars." As they inched forward, they spoke in hushed tones as to not alert the enemy of their location. "Copy, Spectre 5. We'll keep an eye out for him. Just look for lightsaber cuts and destroyed droids." As the troops inched along, they began to notice more and more frequent patrols of battle droids. "Keep moving. So long as we can stay in the shadows, we will be safe." "This is Spectre 5. I see some droids. Commando droids by the look of it. Oh no, arrrrgggghhhhh!" There was the sound of laser fire as all the commandos went silent, waiting for the commando droids to pass. Eventually they did. However, they were holding the body of Spectre 5. "All units, this is Spectre Leader. We lost one. We are nearing the hangar though. Spectre 3, you will take point, the rest of us will cover you." They reached the doors connecting the hallway which they were in to the hanger. Spectre Leader took a deep breath before speaking again. "Ok, all units prepare to breach in 3, 2, 1, breach, breach, breach!" They all breached simultaneously. However, instead of finding droids, they found the destroyed remains of droids and Berserker standing in the hangar.

Berserker turned around upon hearing the breaching charges go off, expecting to find more droids. However, it was just Spectre group. "Well, you certainly took long enough. Come on. Let's go take control of this ship." The group carried on moving toward the bridge, with Artemis easily wiping out any and all resistance they faced. As they came upon the bridge, the droid captain ordered it to be sealed off. However, Artemis began cutting through it with his lightsabers. However, when he was halfway done, several destroyer droids rolled up, accompanied by battle droids, super battle droids, and commando droids. However, before Artemis could turn around to face them, he was shot in the shoulder, knocking him flat. Luckily, he was able to get up and simply push all the droids away, before cutting open the door. Once inside the command bridge, Artemis wasted no time in slicing and dicing the crew of the vessel, taking satisfaction in each stroke. He then peered out of the massive viewports that dominated the front of the bridge. The fleet had managed to destroy the other cruiser, but were now effectively being shielded by the Avenger. Unfortunately, it was at this moment that his wounds got the best of him, and he collapsed. However, the troops loaded him into an escape pod and fired him toward Vlusu's command ship, which then picked him up.

After depositing Artemis in an escape pod and launching it towards Vlusu's fleet, Spectre Group began to consider what to do next. "Let's just set the ship's engines to destroy themselves and escape." "No, let's just use the weapons systems to attack some of the other ships on this side." "I have a better idea still. Let's just ram this ship into the dreadnaught. Get into escape pods and leave. Then almost all of their capital ships would be destroyed, and he will be able to attain victory." "Ok, you three get out of here, I'll turn the ship and boost the power. Then I'll get out of here as well." Spectre's 2, 3, and 4 got into one of the escape pods to wait for the ship to begin its collision course with the dreadnaught. Spectre Leader boosted the engine power, and turned the ship onto a collision course with the Bastion of Death. He then got into the escape pod and jettisoned from the rest of the ship. Aboard the Avenger Vlusu sat wondering what would happen if the commandos failed. They would have to call for First Order reinforcements, and tha would be very embarrassing. However, it was at this moment that the star frigate crashed into the Bastion. He sat up and walked to the forward viewports, where he watched in amazement as the dreadnaught was hit dead center, enveloping the middle of the ship in an enormous explosion that blew the ship in half, and subsequently destroyed the two halves. Vlusu began shouting orders again. "All ships, prepare to engage their last remaining capital ship. Fighter squadron, engage those boarding ships headed for us. All cruisers, frigates, and star destroyers, attack positions, shields double front. You may fire at will." As the fighter squadron annihalated the boarding ships and their fighter escort, dodging the buzz droids launched from the missiles. Vlusu sat back into his chair, relieved that his mission was a success. They had managed to turn back an enormous invasion of the planet Garqi. He was sure that the Supreme Commander would be pleased. He shook his head. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, he thought. However, the odds were very high that he would win.

The moment the Bastion of Death and the frigate were enveloped in an enormous, nuclear sized explosion, Mok knew he had lost. He had been counting on the number of capital ships he possessed in order to win, and now, he was below his opponent in that. His droid starfighters, no matter the quantity, would never defeat the advanced Clawcraft and their highly trained pilots. It was time to cut his losses and retreat. "Kalani. Prepare the ships to retreat. We will jump into empty space. Live to fight another day." His command vessel turned around, and the support ship was destroyed in the process. Recalling as many of the fighters as he could, he jumped into hyperspace, disgraced with his loss. He was so close to bringing those monsters to justice, but alas, they proved to resourceful for even his fleet and considerable abilities. As his flaming ship was enveloped in the cold, icy blue swirls of hyperspace, he stood up, brushed himself off, and retired to his quarters, depressed at the loss of his fleet to his enemy. However, he knew there was one group that was more evil, that he would bring to justice sooner.

As the enemy ships retreated into hyperspace, there was a feeling of happiness onboard the Avenger. The crew were chatting with each other casually, and Vlusu was drinking a glass of wine, along with Artemis. As they relaxed in his personal quarters, he began to speak. "Well, of would appear we attained victory. We eliminated a huge threat to the stability of outlet control over Garqi. I understand you will require a new command ship, and I would recommend heading to Kuat. They can provide you with a wide selection of products. Or, should you prefer, you could travel to Fondor and get a Resurgent-Class ship. I have heard they are some of the best in the galaxy. I will go back to Muunilist, give my full report to the Supreme Commander. He will be pleased to hear of our success." He paused for a moment to sip his wine, before he stood up and pressed a button that would call a servant. The servant immediately came to the door, and he put his wine glass on it. He then spoke quickly to him. "Call my captain up here. I want to speak to him for a moment." He then turned back to Berserker. "I will provide you with transport. It is waiting in the hangar." Just then, his captain entered. "Captain, I want you to go to Kuat. We need to replace our losses. I will take my personal ship to Muunilist. Most of the ships need repair, and the men could use the rest." The captain nodded, before striding out of the room.

Artemis swirled the wine in his glass, then put it down while chuckling, having not taken a sip from it. "Vlusu, you must realize that I won't take off my mask, so therefore I can't drink the wine. However, I will take your advice. I plan on going to Yaga Minor, or wherever they make these Resurgent-Class ships. In any case I need a new fighter, and that will take some time to get." With that he stood up, shook Vlusu's hand, and began walking to the hangar, taking in the cold efficiency aboard the ship. Apart from during the start of the battle, the crew appeared to have handled it well. However, he couldn't say the same for himself. He was bruised and battered, and had not accepted medical treatment, as that would involve him taking off his mask. Eventually, some day, he would take it off. But today was not that day. He entered the hangar and boarded the ship Vlusu had provided for him. After sitting down inside, the ship took off, headed for Yaga Minor. As he observed the ships pilots, he decided that he could trust this Chiss, despite how untrusting he was.

Vlusu's personal ship undocked from the Avenger, and jumped into hyperspace, followed shortly by his fleet.

Angela's silvery vessel came out of Hyperspace and leveled off in Garqi's orbit. The pink surface of the planet reflected off the highly polished surface of the ship. Already in orbit were the various medical ships belonging to Angela and a host of First Order construction vessels. So this was the site of her new base. Moved back from the front lines, but not so much that troops could not be sent here quickly. She liked the idea, and was certain that the Supreme Commander would not let her down with the construction of her base. However, she had heard rumors that the person who had been assigned to protect her and this base was... less savory. However, she couldn't judge by rumors.

The Pellaeon-Class Star Destroyer dropped out of hyperspace. Noticing the slew of First Order vessels, Raith ordered the ship be put directly ahead of the construction zone as to afford maximum protection. Tagge was not happy with this deployment. He should have been out near the front lines fighting, not stuck back here defending some important fellow. However, he would try not to let it show, as he didn't need a spot on his near-perfect record. After his recent promotion, he still tried to fight alongside his troops, and not grow too distant from them. He had learned well the lessons of past men who had lost the loyalty of their troops. Though he disliked the Jedi, their foolish tactics, their devotion to the Republic, he did know that those who would lead from the front lines would always garner more respect from his men. As Angela's ship docked with the Sloane, Raith ran his hand over his blaster pistol one last time as he and his Death Trooper contingent stood ready at the dock to welcome the new guest.

She strode on board the ship, her long blue dress flowing behind her. She saw the commander standing there. No lying that he was certainly very attractive, though she did not want to judge how he was just based on looks. Walking up to him, she extended her hand out. "Greetings Commander. I am Angela Ziegler, Director of the Medical Department. I look forward to working with you."

"Indeed. Perhaps we will indeed enjoy each others company. You should be glad that I am here to keep watch over this project." She was indeed very pretty, with eyes the color of the sea and hair that flowed like water over rocks. However, he still was not happy that he was here. Perhaps he could use this to make a statement. Striding off toward the bridge, his guards turned and followed. "Perhaps you could join me on the bridge... if you can keep up, Doctor Ziegler."

This angered her. Being treated with disrespect simply for childish reasons. She would try to maintain her calm demeanor, but it would be difficult. Her jet black boots clicked against the metal floor, as she hurried to catch up with him. The two of them strode onto the bridge, and did not stop until they reached the front of the Star Destroyer, watching as Angela's Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer came out of Hyperspace and began observing the construction. Though she was a pacifist, she had a small army of hired troops and such on board. The two of them, however distant from each other they were, stood there together, watching as the medical station began taking shape.

=Approx. One Month Later== Raith cleaned his blaster for the 5th time that day. He then walked to his lightsaber and carefully wiped the pristine, highly polished surface of it with a fine cloth for the 9th time that day. He then sat in his chair and leaned back, reading a strategy manual that he had written. Truth be told, he was getting bored. Not much had happened around here, and there was nothing to do except watch the Space Station’s construction crawl by at a snails pace. A small number of Angela’s Death Troopers had come on board, and they were camping out in one of the cargo bays. After skimming through the instructional manual, he put it carefully back into the shelf and walked up to the command bridge. There, Angela was observing the construction of the base. Small groups of TIE/fo’s moves through the superstructure of the skeletal frame. Turning to face Angela, he was about to pass a snarky comment about each her hair, but chose not to. Oddly enough though, her guards weren’t with her. Watching over the crew with an eagles eye, he saw nothin out of the ordinary, and instead went to the troop barracks. Here were spotless rows of weapons and armor. He then went to the hangar bay. Things were proceeding as normal. Though normally only TIE predators were kept on board, a rack for TIE/sf fighters had been installed for easier troop movement. Sitting back and watching the bland activities take place, he was drifting asleep when he suddenly heard the familiar shriek of ion engines. One of the three TIE/sf’s on board had suddenly lifted off. Immediately, it tried making a run for the hangar door, but did not get very far, as the refueling cable kept the ship anchored in place. Standing up and walking toward the viewport, he noticed the two of Angela’s men in the cockpit. Originally confused, he wondered what was happening, until the fighter began firing on the other two TIE’s. As troops began engaging the Starfighter, Raith leaned forward, observing the fighter. “What’s going on here. Why are they firing on us?” Unknown, sir. They aren’t responding to any transmissions After taking a few hits, the cable finally broke and the fighter shot out of the hangar bay and raced towards Angela’s Star Destroyer. The massive vessel was already firing at them and was turning to try and bring as many of its guns to bear as possible. Luckily , the ArtiquensClass Frigates were fighting back, along with the Sloane, who had launched all of its fighters in direct opposition to the hordes of TIEs being launched by the Imperial Star Destroyer.

Angela was confused. There was heavy incoming fire from her own cruiser. Perhaps her men were not as loyal as she had once thought them to be. She watched as the ships traded blows, with the Pellaeon having a great advantage over the aging Star Destroyer.

Things had gone from boring to slightly less boring in minutes. Though it wasn’t the sort of work he coveted, it was still fighting nonetheless. Striding into his quarters, he quickly changed into his crimson Stormtrooper armor, grabbed his blaster, and carefully clipped his lightsaber to his belt. He quickly stride up to the bridge, where the Captain was directing fire at the Imperial Star Destroyer. The powerful weapons systems of the Pellaeon-Class Star Destroyer were taking their toll on the aging systems of the older Star Destroyer. Already gathered on the bridge were Raith’s Death Trooper contingent. He saw Angela hanging further back, and he knew deep down she was not used to this sort of front line combat. Though he usually showed no mercy, he found a small amount of it in his heart to be indifferent to the woman. He instead turned to his Death Troopers and the various Stormtrooper captains that had rushed to join them. Gesturing our the window, they had full view of the rapidly disintegrating hulk that was the disabled star destroyer. Raising his arm, the various gun crews stopped firing. He gestured our the window. “Ordinarily, I would just order that ship destroyed. However, it is directly above the medical facilities half-finished structure. Because of this, we are going to have to board the ship. The Stormtroopers will make an entrance through the main hangar here.” He gestured to the main hangar on the holographic projection of the ship. “While myself and the Death Troopers enter through the garbage chute here. The main group of Stormtroopers will be responsible for taking the reactor room and the auxiliary bridge, along with the rest of the ship, while we focus on the command superstructure. Any questions?” None of the troops said anything, so he put on his helmet. “Then get to your shuttles.” As soon as everyone was in their shuttles, they dropped out of the Sloane and headed directly for the Imperial Star Destroyer. Landing with little to no resistance, as all of the troops must have been concentrated in key areas of a ship, troops quickly swarmed over unprotected areas. Soon, however, they arrived at a bulkhead marked “Engineering Deck.” Not hesitating, they blasted through the wall and began moving through the room, conducting sweeps with their gun-mounted flashlights.

Various contingents of soldiers moved through the corridors, headed for the bridge and engineering deck. Some men elected to head towards the main hangar, though they were quickly gunned down as the Stormtroopers swarmed over the ship, decimating any resistance with well trained fire, the red bolts finding their mark. On the engineering deck, a large group of the soldiers were protecting the single door, ducked behind crates, notched in the wall, pieces of machinery, even computer panels. As the door exploded open and Stormtroopers entered the room, blaster fire lit up the space with red flares. Bridge Deck On the bridge, there was chaos as reports came in from all over the ship of severe damage or Stormtrooper incursions. The officers listened silently as men were cut down by disciplined fire. Prepare to evacuate. We’ve been overrun.

Though the crew of the enemy Star Destroyer attempted to escape, it was pointless. The pure white blade of his lightsaber cut through the defenders like they were butter, while the well -trained stormtroopers easily killed off Angela’s troops. While the 7th Division inspected the Star Destroyer, Raith and his Death Troopers returned to the Sloane to meet with Angela. “I believe I owe you an apology, Director Ziegler. Perhaps this will not be as boring as I thought it would be, and I would like to make a fresh start with you.”

“Perhaps then, we cal begin again.” Shaking his outstretched hand, the two of them smiled for a moment before Angela glanced out the window. She had heard news of an impending marriage between Nicademus and Illaria. She was not really sure how she felt about this. On one had, she still had a slight crush on him, but also knew that if he was happy with Illaria, then she should stay away. Either way, brooding wouldn’t help.

After shaking her hand, Tagge called forth a servant droid, who walked into the bridge area carrying a bottle of Corellian Whiskey with two glasses on a tray. Raising up the tray, Raith poured two glasses of the amber liquid an gave one to Angela. Taking a gulp of the whiskey, he looked outside the window at the planet of Garqi. He noticed a trail of debris far in the distance, constrasting against tie pink background of the planet. “It is amazing how beautiful the galaxy can be...” After his gaze lingered on the planet for a moment, he turned to face Angela. “Angela, what was your life like before the First Order?”
