Obitus stood and listened to the younger Sith. He sounded wise beyond his years but he was still as hungry with ambition as his physical appearance suggested. “A new future” he said, a phrase that ran through the mind of the older Sith a few times as he tried to grasp all of the meaning behind the words. It sounded like a catch-phrase that a campaigning Senator would use to woo the voting masses.I am Darth Malvus. And I have come to make this world the center of the Dark Side as it was before. “Welcome to Korriban Lord Malvus, although I suspect you do not require my welcoming message.”
Obitus thought for a second, should he reveal his true name, his title or an alias at this stage? He had no way of knowing if Malvus was his real name or title. Although he suspected it was real, Malvus had no reason to lie at this point.
“I also previously held the title of Darth. Although I have not used it during my time on Korriban, I am Darth Obitus. My allegiance is to Korriban and the Sith, the True Sith, not some of these pretenders that I've been hearing about over the 'net.”
Obitus gestured to the rest of Malvus' retinue and his troops that were visible from the end of the alley.
“I suppose you're proud of what you've built so far?”

“I suppose you're proud of what you've built so far?” The True Sith? So there was some sect on this planet, thought Malvus. Unless Obitus was alone in this. When his fleet had come to the planet and began scouring the planet side, nothing had been found... that was naked to the eye. Likely, what Obitus spoke of were the natives of this world, those who called Korriban their home and claimed heritage upon this barren world. And my allegiance is to the Dark Side, Lord Obitus. To Bogan, to the Fanged God, to the Void that seeks to choke out the Light.Malvus states to the aged Sith before. My pride only swells when they kill their foes and end the lives of enemies. He was not going to simply let this Sith mock him.I do not desire approval, Lord Obitus, but I do desire to see Korriban become the dreaded fortress that it was before.

A purist, very interesting. Obitus thought of himself as somewhat of a purist when it came to the Sith religion and traditions. That may have been because, in his role of Emperor, he had the freedom to pursue such niceties. Regardless of this, he believed that Malvus and he shared a very similar view point. They also shared the same desire for Korriban as well as Sith ancestry.
“Approval should never be the main cause behind any action, Lord Malvus. However your cause does seem noble and I wholeheartedly agree with your views on the Darkside and the status of Korriban. I would be a terrible house guest if I didn't ask if I could assist in anyway?”
Obitus saw in Malvus a quality he recognised from his younger self. Along with being a powerful Sith, keen to carve out his own piece of the galaxy, Obitus had too easily trusted some of his closest advisors. It wasn't quite naivety, more misplaced trust in certain individuals. This had ultimately caused Obitus a large problem but now he saw an opportunity.

It wasn't quite naivety, more misplaced trust in certain individuals. This had ultimately caused Obitus a large problem but now he saw an opportunity. It seemed Obitus was a reasonable Sith. That was better than a belligerent one that never knew anything better than violence. Certainly, violence was a powerful aspect of their existence, but there was more to being a Sith than that. Malvus gazed upward for a moment, as the visible sound of a ship, exiting hyperspace, came over Dreshdae. More of his fleet had arrived in preparation for the final stages of his plans.
His eyes then looked back down at Obitus. Then I welcome your willingness to join my cause. In time, I will access your character and skills. You will be granted a position where you may thrive, Darth Obitus. That I assure you. Those who are capable and talented will always find a door open for them.Malvus lifts up his gauntlet arm and sends coordinates to the Sith.In due time, we will be converging on this location as our headquarters. Head there when you are ready and bring any followers you may have.

Obitus took his datapad out from a large pocket with his left hand and made sure he had received the coordinates. It would not take him long to gather his things. He had not had the fortune to amass pointless trinkets but he had managed to find a small crew for his ship. It would not take him long to take Malvus up on his offer.
“Much appreciated Lord Malvus, I look forward to finding out more.”
The offer he had received was a very pragmatic one from Malvus, something that impressed Obitus. However he suspected that some of the troops in the area would not be forward looking. This prompted a more elaborate withdrawal form the situation that he would have wanted, given this new partnership.
From the perspective of a non-force user, Obitus turned away from Malvus and whipped his black cloak around. His cloak continued to spiral around his body and shrink before disappearing into a cloud of smoke. The smoke would clear after a small gust down the alley dispersed it. Darth Obitus was gone. A practised Force user such as Malvus, standing sufficiently close, such as Malvus, would have been able to sense the illusion. They would be able to feel Obitus' presence withdrawing down the alley, invisible to the naked eye.

Sanguinus entered the city and headed straight for the hanger bays. He searched every single one, none of the ships that resided in them were to his liking. There was only one hanger left, and inside was a heavily modified star courier. An angry male devaronian stood in the sith lord's way.
"Hey! You can't be here!" He barked at Sanguinus. The sith lord ignored the comment.
"Who owns this ship...?" "I do! Now get out of he--URKK"
The devaronian grabbed his own throat, gasping for air. Sanguinus raised his hand slowly and the ship owner's body levitated off the ground, then became pinned to the hanger wall.
"And now it belongs to me..." There was a loud crack as the devaronian's neck snapped and body went limp. Sanguinus released his hold over the corpse as he walked up the entry ramp to the ship. The ship's engines fired up and the star courier took off into Korriban's orbit.

Dipping below the clouds, six yorik-et appeared in the skies above Dreshdae, leaving dark trails of black smoke in their wake as magma bubbled in the cones of their yaret-kor. The organic starfighters streaked towards the small enclave in the desert, carried aloft by wings of gravity as their dovin basals propelled them through the air, hurtling like guided missiles as they neared their target destination. Inside the cockpit of each nimble craft, Yuuzhan Vong pilots symbiotically linked to their crafts through the use of a cognition hood, thumbed the trigger reflex of their firing controls and let loose several flaming balls of superheated rock at the buildings and citizens below. Explosions erupted across the city, spraying the streets with molten duracrete debris and setting ablaze silken merchant stalls lining the streets. For the people living there, it was as if hell had made itself known, raining down fire onto the red skinned citizens, a prelude before the arrival of demons that was not far behind.
After the first pass, the six fighters came back around for a second, then a third. There were no militarily strategic targets to speak of, so instead the half squadron of Praetorite Vong coral skippers visited their destructive impulses upon the citizens of Dreshdae. Arriving next, three molted balls of flesh dropped like meteorites from the heavens above striking on the east, west, and south sides of the city. Where they struck, fire rose in great plumes, spreading to consume anything within the vicinity. Native sith were transformed into pillars of ash as they were caught in the pyroclastic clouds engulfing the landing sites. As smoke and heat choked the air, the demons made themselves known.
Appearing in the ember speckled haze, members of the Yuuzhan Vong warrior caste emerged, serpents hissing in their hands and eyes glowing a malefic red. Each was a tall muscular figure, layered in a spiky carapace of vonduun skerr kyrric, known to the infidels as crab plate. They came at a trot at first, slowly picking up speed as they exited the obscuring layer of smoke, then running at a full charge by the time they neared the panicked citizens caught out in the streets. Corpse pallor hands the size of wookiee paws gripped screaming throats, binding limbs with blorash jelly, before depositing them in the dirt for the capture beasts to collect.
As Xarl Lah worked his way towards the heart of the city, his amphistaff Shem-Kreeto was slick with the blood of his foe. He let out a steaming exhalation of breath through his nose stub as he came upon a red skinned sith garbed in bronze and leather armour, carrying a khopesh sword held up as though to engage him. He grit his teeth, growling under his breath as he came upon the Sith, leaning back to avoid the initial sword swing by the alien before stepping past their guard and delivering a powerful straight punch with his right arm. His hand smashed the sith's jaw upon contact, splintering bone before spraying blood and teeth onto the sand. All resistance went out of the defender, but the subaltern wouldn't be satisfied until he had his pound of flesh. While the sith crawled on the ground, slowly collecting his missing teeth, Xarl loomed over him and thrust his amphistaff through the man's back, pinning him to the floor. It was a well aimed thrust, piercing the sith's heart and summarily silencing him for good. He pulled Shem-Kreeto free with a wet pop, then stepped over the corpse and moved on to the next foe.
The same sight was witnessed everywhere across the city as its people were herded towards the north, where a sheer cliff face blocked any and all escape.
