"Go ahead."
There was nothing on the pad he couldn't afford to lose, so he gestured for the man to do what he needed to in order to safeguard himself. Roberts had been in the Intelligence community long enough to know that he should never bring a datapad with him that he is attached to. They always get taken or destroyed.
"I believe that's it. She is being transferred to Korriban. Happy hunting."
With that settled, Director Roberts stood and took his leave.

Octavio nodded and his eyes escorted the man out of the bar. Once he was certain his employer couldn't see him and that nobody was paying attention to him his arms parted, datapad not being in either of them -perhaps TenNine would be able to procure something valuable from it. The left sneaked inside his cloak and left the prize in one of the large internal pockets while the right darted towards the bowl and snatched up another nut. Barely a second passed before the nut was crunched and popped into the awaiting mouth. He really was getting good at this. Shame to have to leave nearly half a bowl.
He unwound from the seat in a single, fluent, almost feline motion, then trod through and about the tables, slipping out into the daylight.

The blood had congealed into a thick goop that deepened in color until it was almost black. The pained expression on the face of the corpse from the brief moment of terror she had suffered would be setting into rigor soon but Sinistra had not yet found what she was looking for. The dead kid on the floor, maybe 20 or so if she had to guess, had been a world class slicer. Sinistra's systems had been built by one too. It took one call and the back trace had been put into motion. A day later, she had broken into the cellar hideout of a young woman, who had been tipped off. Digital cat and mouse games never really held much appeal to her, even in her younger days. In her waning year, she had lost all patience for it.
The girl didn't plead, Sinistra had jerked her up by her hair and slammed a knife into her throat, dropping the body unceremoniously to the floor. She looked over the desk, the data chips laying around until she noticed that the terminal in front of her was finishing a program run. She didn't like the look of it at all but she couldn't really understand what she was looking at. Only that it had her name and her alias in it.
The reference seemed to point to files but she couldn't find them on the local terminal. A broader network search wasn't dragging anything up either but the sound of sirens broke her concentration.
"FRAK!" she shouted through the vocoder of the rather non-descript grey and blue armor she was wearing. Living among the former Mandalorians still had some advantages.
The cellar had one means of egress and the sirens were getting louder. It was highly improbable they weren't here to ruin Sinistra's afternoon. She fled the room, dropping a thermal detonator behind her before sprinting up the stairs and waiting for the boom. The explosion pushed her through the door, out onto the back alley as people fled the chaos, streaming through the cops who now had to secure the fire. The smoke covered her escape and she moved through the city easily, leisure stopping with others to watch the holovids of the explosion on the news.
The comline in her buy'ce pinged, her eyes looking to the side to identify the number. It wasn't familiar but it wasn't from Lianna either. She answered it, letting it play in her earpiece while she watched people move about their lives. Across her HUD, a warning flashed.
COMPROMISED. ALIAS DOSSIER AND LOCATION RECEIVED AT JEDI INTELLIGENCE.
The line went dead. Her breath caught in her throat. That was the program running. That little minx had transmitted her name and location to Jedi Intelligence. Who else had gotten it?
She turned, sitting down on the first swoop bike she saw and jacking it, heading for her safehouse. The clock had started again on the old game, and she had no desire to meet her adversaries here. On top of that, she wasn't as young as she had been. She was going to need every advantage to outsmart them after being quiet for so long.

COMPROMISED. ALIAS DOSSIER AND LOCATION RECEIVED AT JEDI INTELLIGENCE. There was a loud thud and then a message filled Rave's heads up display, flashing in neon hues. His focus snapped back to reality and he acknowledged the message with the swipe of his gloved hand in front of his face. The bright words slipped off the HUD and were replaced the complete target dossier for Lord Sinistra. Rave had been standing out of sight, in the alley way behind the hackers hideout waiting. His thick, darkly coloured trench coat blended into the shadowy walkways. The hacker had informed Rave that they would likely be drawing a high level target their location. They insisted he not stop anyone from entering the hideout, only to capture or kill the target once they had been exposed. As Rave stepped out of the alley way he could see the chaos unfolding as police tried to control the panicked crowed. However Rave's eye was fast, a fraction of a second faster than his HUD. He had spotted a female clad in Mandalorian armour just as his HUD identified it as Lord Sinistra in one of her disguises. He watched as she moved towards an unoccupied swoop-bike and take off right towards where he stood. With quick thinking and lightning reflexes Rave used the force to toss and attach a homing beacon to the swoop the instant it past by him.
As the beacon activated, a three-dimensional map of the area with a red homing indicator displayed in front of him before condensing into two-dimensional map in the corner of his HUD. Rave had anticipated such a possible escape avenue and had planned accordingly. His speeder was only a few meters away, parked out of sight but easily accessible. Rave moved to his speeder with quickness and determination. Hopping into the cockpit he keyed the ignition and the craft rumbled to life. As the canopy sealed shut Rave slammed the accelerator speeding after his target. He knew he'd have to be quick if he was to be the first one to confront Lord Sinistra. It was obvious to him that he was nowhere near the only one to get the dossier. He had worker with this hacker before, they were too smart to leave this to just himself.

Theo was waiting in the Rancor III, its engines were warm and ready. The red glow of the console in front of him showed all systems nominal.
The tight black, fitted coat he wore felt a little too stiff. At this point, he knew that his feelings didn't matter. Look good, and fly better than anyone else in the galaxy. He straightened his collar as a message flashed across his screen
COMPROMISED. ALIAS DOSSIER AND LOCATION RECEIVED AT JEDI INTELLIGENCE.
He inhaled. This is what he had been mentally preparing for. The past day had been preparation for the worst case scenario.
Game on.
He said as he exhaled. He cycled through the ship's systems once again. Shields, weapons, stygium cloak, engines, all read good to go.
Clenched jaw, he waited for his master to arrive.

Two Days Later
It hadn't been a long trip to Lianna from the new temple on Felucia but even so I can't help but stand up and stretch after setting down the YT-1930 freighter Daystar in one of the public spaceports of Lianna City. Moving my weathered hands through my now shorter and nearly white hair I take a moment to run through the ship's familiar shutdown procedure, doing it manually for once, instead of expending the telekinetic force I normally used while operating the ship. It was unlikely that such small uses of the force would alert our quarry to our presence here, but I wasn't about to start taking chances with this woman now. She had a reputation for intelligence and ruthlessness that I had seen the after effects of more than once. When the dossier had arrived at Felucia we had wasted no time in oraganizing available personnel and getting a team out to go after one of the most dangerous Sith Lords of my lifetime. Unfortunately it wasn't a large team, but it would hopefully be enough. Aer had said he would send reinforcements as soon as some were made available but I wasn't banking on it. The galaxy was sorely in need of Jedi at the moment and it would be hard to find more to spare. Making my back to the boarding ramp of my ship I meet up with the only other Jedi currently on the mission and flash my customary half grin as I take the flask out of my belt and offer it forward to her. Ready to hunt down this delightful woman who I'm sure isn't planning a trap to murder us right now?

Adelle blinked in the sunlight as she followed the elder Jedi down the ramp. Nightmares had plagued her on the way over so she wasn't thrilled about stepping out of the comfortable lighting of the ship's interior. Still, there was a job to be done. She took the proffered flask and smirked, though it looked more like a grimace. "Don't see why she would. We're nice people."
She took a swig then smiled mischievously. "Well, at least I am." She capped it and tossed the flask back. "Might wanna check with authorities first. Heard something about a local fire at the same time as the call when I did some digging."

Laughing, I slip the flask back into my belt and pull out my datapad from one of the pockets of the many pocketed jumpsuit I wear under my blue robes. After a few quick menus I manage to get into the local network and get a little information. Pointing in a sort of southerly direction I begin walking. The fire Marshal who looked into that particular fire seems to have an office a few blocks down, seems like a good enough place to start. He leads the way to a combined fire station/boring government building. Gesturing for his companion to take the lead as they enter the building I continue typing on my datapad searching local networks (some of which I technically shouldn't have had access to) for additional information on our quarry.

Cut back to immediately following the transmission...
The swoop bike dipped and moved around traffic quickly but cautiously, as Sinistra watched her mirrors carefully for anyone following her or lights that would signal her stolen bike had attracted attention. In the meantime, she messaged her pilot, who should be waiting with the Rancor's engines running already.
Theo, proceed as if I'm coming in hot. When I say you go, you go. Do not hesitate, do not question, just fly.
She closed the channel and looked ahead at the wide avenue leading to the spaceport, the hub of transit for most of Lianna City. With the grace of a woman much younger than herself, Sinistra pulled her feet up onto the seat of the bike and paused only a moment before she jumped off of it, onto the roof of a near by building that was at least 4 stories tall. The bike hit the ground and cartwheeled, sparks showering behind it, careening into a barricade on the roadside and exploding in an impressive fireball.
She didn't watch it though. She was already running across building tops, shedding her Mandalorian armor, to reveal a rather dusty looking pair of cargo pants and tunic. Her hair had been braided down to her head under the bucket, and it was force crushed before being left on one of the various rooftops as she skimmed the skyline of Lianna.
The Rancor was waiting for her on the roof a office building, on a landing pad normally reserved for visiting clients. She could see the building a couple blocks away but the top was too much for a jump from this height. She would have to grab a lift from somewhere before her ruse with the bike was discovered.

Theo, proceed as if I'm coming in hot. When I say you go, you go. Do not hesitate, do not question, just fly. He clicked to respond but saw that the channel was cut out before he could. All ship systems were ready to go, and he was running active sensor sweeps to monitor the airspace for traffic; neutral or otherwise.
He sighed as he monitored the screens. Figuring he would have a moment or two left, he closed his eyes and began to meditate.
He began to search the surrounding universe for a direction, a path to take. All around him he could feel the strands of the universe weaving around him. The fabric of the space-time continuum became apparent to him at that moment, and he began to reach outward through the Force.
Lianna City appeared underneath him, receding away as he ascended. The planet became a shrinking marble in the void of the universe, and soon, Theo could see the nearby region. Stars and nebulae were within reach, but he looked only in a particular direction. Lingering for a few more moments, he got the data he needed and began to gather his calculations.
Opening his eyes once more, he checked the sensors again. Better get here alive...

Rave had been following his target expertly, staying a respectable distance away, occasionally taking short detours through side roads to remain unseen by Lord Sinistra. Rave had just come back onto the route that Sinistra had been following for some time now, just as she leap from the speeder bike she was on, to the rooftops above. Rave watched as the cartwheeled into a burning mass of parts. It was time to act.
Rave put the pedal to the metal. His speeder raced forward in kicking up dust before lifting off into the air just over the hight of the rooftops. Rave spotted Sinistra rather quickly and she tossed and destroyed her armour, running quickly. In the distance Rave could see a landing pad on the roof of a building, this had to be where his target was going. With a quick turn and an abrupt stop Rave's speeder landed right in front of Lord Sinistra's path. The wine of the crafts engines slowly died to silence and the cockpit latch popped. With a mechanical his the canopy open revealing a lone figure.
Rave hopped out of the spreader and quickly reached for one of his blaster pistols. Taking aim at the Sith Lord, Rave opened fire are the woman's feet. The shots were not ment to wound or kill, only to stop his target in their tracks. With a quick motion the Assassin Rave holstered his blaster with a flashy twirl. His hands rested close to his hips, ready to draw or take action as necessary. He was armed not only with blaster and blade, but the darkside of the force. A mysterious fallen Jedi, and in this moment Rave began to reach out with his primal emotions to fuel his connection to the force.
With his left hand, Rave quickly pressed a button on the side of his helmet before dropping the limb back to the ready. His visor sparked to life and a vibrant holographic image of a smile emoticon projected of the surface. Rave then spoke, his voice amplified and distorted by his helmets vocoder
Dread Lord Sinistra, it's a pleasure to meet you. Unfortunately this visit isn't a pleasure call. You see, it seems you've made one too many enemies. Rich enemies, and they want you dead or alive. I'm here to collect. That hacker sure did a fantastic job pulling you out of hiding and making sure you won't be going back. The Jedi were definitely not the only folks informed.

Sinistra had a suspicion that she was being following and the whine of a speeder engine confirmed her notion as she launched herself for another roof trying to outrun her pursuer. She skidded to a halt as he fired at the roof just shy of her feet, her saber hilt in her hand but unlit as yet. She cursed under her breath, as she glanced at her destination just beyond his silhouette.
She raised her left wrist where a small banded communications device lay under her glove. She pulled the leather back with the index finger of her right hand, hilt still un-ignited, her voice growling with annoyance at the current obstacle to her escape.
Theo, bring the Rancor to my coordinates.
Message sent, she dropped her hands to her sides.
"Enemies are the point. If you've got 'em, you must be doing something right. Now piss off kid, you're just gonna end up another name on a list of people I've killed that no one will remember."
She felt no need to run from him, Theo would arrive momentarily and he would not be able to guard against both her and the cannons on the ship.

Lianna City - Central Spaceport.
The Infiltrator carrying Sith'ari Viox Savage and his companion, Lady Luxeria, settled down on a public landing pad. Keeping to a public pad lowered their chances of being spotted and also didn't draw any unwanted attention that arriving via a private pad did. Ensuring the ship was powered down to stand-by, ready to be fired up on a moment's notice, the Zabrak rose from the pilot's seat and slid himself into the chair before the tact console.
"Rampant and I will oversee your progress from here. Do not hesitate, do not show mercy. Give our enemies no quarter. And bring Sinistra back here, alive..."
The screen before the Sith sprang to life and he swiped several smaller pop-ups away. Inhaling, then exhaling slowly, the Zabrak uttered his final words to Luxeria.
"May the Force serve you well..."
And that was it. Nothing more needed to be said from him. Luxeria had her assignment and he had his. From here, he would track Luxeria's movements via the wrist comm he had provided her during their raid on Felucia. And he would remain in constant contact with her. And, if she required his physical aid, he would back her up. At least until Vice Admiral Flaygon arrived and locked this sector down. At that point, he would be able to move more freely. But until then, he needed to keep his presence and influence here to a minimum.

As the ship set itself down and Viox moved to another seat, Luxeria stood, looking out of the windows before them. A new world she had yet to see, filled with new dangers challenges for her to overcome. And all of it was the single purpose of securing the life of one woman, Lord Sinistra. If they were lucky, they would have arrived first. Otherwise, this was now a race against time. Whether or not others were already on the ground, she knew it needed to be treated as such.
Giving the Sith'ari a nod after his words, she proceeded out of the cockpit and departed the ship. She could have used one of the bikes in the cargo bay, as it would have helped with getting where she needed to go faster, but just as Viox wanted to keep his presence minimal, it was best for her to follow a similar approach. It would be easier to blend in if she moved through the crowd in a normal pace. It meant no running. She even worked to conceal her lightsaber from view, trying to slip it the best she could into one of her pouches.
Leaving the landing zone, she began working her way towards the direction of the building Sinistra was last known to have been. As she moved out into the crowds, she began to focus upon the Force around her. She had been working on harnessing greater control of the Force around her, utilizing multiple aspects together into a different form of stealth. It was a simple tactic really, letting the Force spread around her in a bit of a bubble with those that passed through it having their perception altered. As long as she moved at a steady pace and made no big movements, she would not register in the minds of others, despite them being able to see her. If none were seeking her, she could hide easily in plain sight. It was for this reason she wished her lightsaber hidden. If someone brushed against it while in view, it was possible the sight of it could break the illusion and stir up trouble.
Quietly she moved along, following the path she had set for herself, eventually arriving at the scene. She looked around in all directions trying to think like someone fleeing a scene. Perhaps she could more instinctively gauge which direction Sinistra went. However, her mind couldn't process it. There was no telling just how everything went down, so it couldn't be said if the Sith actual fled the scene or simply walked away calmly. She then diverted her gaze upwards, looking around for something. She had a thought, though figured it a long shot. Still, it was an idea worth checking out.
Backing up into the shadows of an ally, she lifted her wrist comm. "Rampant, are there any cameras in the area?" She suspected if there had been, the A.I would have already shared the information and wouldn't have had to make a calculated guess of where she could be in the surrounding blocks.

Analyzing all incoming data from the city's network, Rampant kept an eye on everything. Processing thousands of reports a second, filtering out relevant information. Normally such a task would take a sentient being several painstaking hours. But the A.I was capable of partitioning off parts of his neural subconscious to carry out processes such as this, while more actively focusing on what Luxeria was doing. As she asked the question, he spoke up, promptly. He had, in fact, noted several surveillance cameras from local businesses and paranoid homeowners. But accessing them was a bit tricky, given that they were separate from the city's network.Yes, milady. Several private cameras captured a figure matching Sinistra's build, fleeing the area on a speeder bike. You should know, the figure matching Sinistra's height and build is also wearing nondescript grey and blue Mandalorian armour. The bike was dumped several blocks from here and eye witness accounts state a Mandalorian figure was seen leaping to the rooftops. Without the aid of a jetpack, which is indicative of a Force-User. Summoning a speeder for you now. One moment please.Back on the ship, one of the 88-R Nightscreamer speeder bikes fired up and, under the digital manipulations of the A.I, took off from the Infiltrator's bay and out into the streets of Lianna City. As the bike sped it's way through the streets to Luxeria's position, a holographic image of a rider appeared, as to not alert the public to a speeder that was piloting itself. Within a few minutes, the matte black speeder bike slowed to a stop near Luxeria's position.Your ride awaits, milady.

Luxeria gave an internal sigh of relief. Luck was on their side it seemed. With the video footage, they would have direction that could save them hours of work searching. And with Rampant sending a speeder her way, it would speed her up that much more. Slowly, the net was closing. They could only hope that Sinistra was still somewhere in that zone. For now, all she could do was patiently wait an prepare her mind for what was coming.
After a few minutes, her ears caught the sound of an approaching speeder bike. She turned to see one of the bikes in the cargo bay of Viox's ship coming to her. A curious thing, knowing the A.I was piloting it. It made her think more on what the newly forming A.I that would be aboard her ship would be capable of and if she could request little upgrades like that. But as quickly as the thought flashed through her mind, so to did it leave. She was on a mission and had no time to think on anything else.
Stepping from the shadows, she mounted the bike. "Alright, Give me directions to where the speeder bike was dumped. Once there, we'll take it to the rooftops. Hopefully there will be something there that can point us in the right direction." With that, Luxeria took off in the direction the videos saw Sinistra going.

Relinquishing control of the bike and allowing Luxeria to take over manually, Rampant replied to her order.
Proceed south-southeast. Highlighting the fastest route now.
A small holo-map of the current quadrant of the city they were in, appeared just over the fuel tank of the bike, just ahead of the pilot's seat, giving Luxeria a view of the map, while allowing her to maintain eye contact with the road ahead. A highlighted route through the city to where the dumped bike was appeared. And so, the trail had been picked up...

Luxeria sped her way through the streets, following the path laid out by Rampant on the map. The closer she got, the more she put the hammer down on the throttle. She zipped around other speeders, handling her bike a decent amount of precision. Perhaps one day, she'd have to thank her parents for getting her that Flare S speeder bike. Using it made this much easier.
As she hit the last stretch, she put all she had into the bike, squeezing out every ounce of speed she could. It was only as they got close did she finally started slowing down. Up ahead, mercenary teams were directing traffic. No wonder that she had been able to move so quickly without catching attention. Between the building where this started and what she guessed to be the dumped speeder bike, all units were occupied tending to the situations at both locations. She pulled off into a small alley and jumped off the bike. She wouldn't be able to get close to sort anything else out. But that was fine. At most, all she'd really be capable finding was which way she jumped. She had to have jumped from the bike while in motion if it caused a the crash it did. So it could be suggested that the bike would have been pushed when she jumped, giving it a new direction when it crashed. But it was just as difficult sorting that considering it could have been slung in any direction the first time it hit something.
There was no time to try and play detective and figure out possible trajectories, even with Rampant. It was here that Sinistra took to the roofs. Looking upwards, she focused the Force around her, lifting herself into the air with Force Flight. Once atop the buildings, she began looking around. In the direction she was heading, she saw a spaceport. First instinct would say the woman was heading that way. Ditch the bike and head across rooftops to hide her movements in case she was being followed. She took a few steps before stopping. No, that would be too obvious. If what she had learned about Sinistra the past few hours since leaving Mustafar was that she had gone into hiding, creating quite a few identities. If she didn't want to be found, then leaving her ship, no matter who it was registered under, would be a poor decision. If she was being chased, a smart person would just wait for her there. She had to have a ship standing by elsewhere, especially if she came to hunt down the hacker that leaked all the information.
So which way did that lead? She looked around in all directions, looking to the ground around her, looking for any sign that pointed out her path of travel. It didn't help that she probably didn't land on the same building as the Sith Lord, but it couldn't be helped. She couldn't have been a couple buildings off. She'd just have to check a few around her and see if there was anything to find. From her position, she moved in a radius of three buildings. Half way through her search, something caught her eye. Moving over to it, she bent over to pick up a piece of armor. Looking it over, she brought up her comm. "Lord Savage, I've found a piece of armor along the rooftops. Looks like she started to discard as she went. Possibly to change her appearance in case anyone saw her in the armor." She began looking around until she found another piece of armor, showing a solid trail to follow. Once the second piece was found, Luxeria broke out into a run, following the path left by Sinistra.

[/ul][/ul] *The pristine affect of Lianna City goes hand-in-hand with the perception of a planet that thought itself above the scale of conflict in the Galactic Civil War. Strategic leverage of Sienar Army/Fleet Systems' value as a negotiating chip with the Empire and the New Republic allowed Lady Valles Santhe to vie for independence of her homeworld - and to ensure the Santhe family's perpetuated influence in the representative democracy as an act of service to the Liannese people. A planet that can defend itself, by virtue of industry and economic means? Yeah, that is exactly the attitude lending itself to a capital city dressed in pure white duracrete from top to bottom.*
*The socioeconomic and political factors that had led the planet to its de facto status as a corporate-sponsored democracy are beyond the purview of most of its population, and this could not be more true of a man who stands at street level, looking at the facade of a diner as a real estate droid chatters away with details of the building's history. Bennett Voltar is not paying any heed to the vomit of facts and figures erupting from the mechanical voice beside him. Rather, he is looking through the panoramic glass window of the cantina. The last time he was here, this place was known as the Pinnacle Diner. Why did they call it that, he wonders. That's a good name for a skyscraper-mounted restaurant, not one that's on ground level. Maybe that's why they finally went out of business.*
*Bennett, by education and profession, is a solar engineer. His portfolio included several high-profile projects from recent constructions in Lianna City. His energy design solutions, while perhaps not industrial award-winning, were nonetheless top quality among his peers and even some of the senior engineers. His name was accumulating recognition in all the right circles, and he was bound for promotion soon. A man who lives his life in modest amount of comfort, he has been effectively saving money for a few years, watching the stock markets and building his nest egg. And while the right person hasn't come along in his life for that yet, there's still plenty of time. He's only in his mid-twenties.*
*And then, some days ago, Bennett was paid a visit by the Sunbringer.*
*The real estate droid is rambling on. A slight smile curls up the corner of Bennett's mouth - not at what he said, but at a memory that has just sprung to mind.*Pinnacle's white-glazed durasteel tabletops had bits of food stuck to them. Then up, out the window, as the mid-afternoon sun peeked in over the buildings of skyline far above with a golden gleam. Across the table, at the visage of the boy sitting across from him. He felt a cheeky grin spread across his juvenile face. He and the other boy were skipping school for this moment.* , Bennett!"[/ul] *The other boy looked cross for just a split second, but then broke into a grin.*[/ul] *And both boys began to laugh, as a server droid rolled up to the table. The tray contained a pair of malted milkshakes, topped with a mountain of slag and a cherry to boot. The frosty glasses clanked onto the table in front of them and they tore into the beverages with reckless abandon, not a worry to spare about brain freeze, or the misfortune of their other classmates slaving through a lesson, or even a thought about the faraway future...*[/ul][/ul] *Bennett laughs to himself.* "How did you know, back then? Where had you gone, all those years I was in higher education, Sunbringer?"[/ul] *A melancholy tone takes over his voice as he reminisces over the fondness, grows nostalgic over the sadness of the absence of his childhood friend. Just a few days ago, the Sunbringer had bid him farewell, just as he had done so many years before. Bennett didn't understand why he had to leave. Neither time. But Sunbringer had given him a task, had reminded him of what they'd promised to do, all those years back. He would do it. He promised. Both times.*
*It all revolves around this building. Bennett smiles wistfully.* *The real estate droid's question finally manages to catch his attention.*[/ul] [/ul] [/ul] *Bennett nods, as an airspeeder at the droid's electronic beckon call swoops down from the traffic lanes above to hover beside them. The droid ushers him into the passenger seat, and moments later they are en route to the property management office. As long as he could, Bennett keeps his eyes on the building below, until they round a corner and it's swept out of sight.*
*Future site of the hub of the Verdant Star, LLC. Just like we always dreamed of, right, Sunbringer?*

[/ul][/ul] *Night has fallen on a significant day in Bennett's life. As he dims the lights and prepares to get some sleep, he reflects. The monthly lease he had gotten for the Pinncale was, admittedly, not the greatest. The fault lies largely with him, he reasons. The real estate droid had detected his biological signatures of excitement and had refused to negotiate for a lower price. In the future, he tells himself, be more discreet. Moreover, shouldn't droids with sensor packages like that be illegal for price negotiations? They're too good, they can tell when they're being lied to. Good luck pushing that type of business regulatory measure through the Senate, though.*
*Thinking about failures of the (recent) past never sets a man up for success, though. He lets his thoughts drift to the future. There are, he sighs, a lot of 'need-to' items to cross off the list. Need to hire an administrative assistant. Need to keep track of business expenditures for tax write-offs. Need to get forms in order. Need to get some sort of documentation in legalese, first to establish the Verdant Star as a limited liability corporation, and then to obtain licensure for collection operations. Need to do some branding. Need to advertise on the HoloNet. Need to do a renovation of the diner. Need to get some help prioritizing the items on his 'need-to' list, because they're in no particular order right now.*
*And yet, his excitement cannot be diminished. Solar engineering, while profitable, was never really his dream. He'd have to keep at it, for now. The Verdant Star can be a side project for the time being. Especially with interior upkeep to put on the schedule, there's no reason to quit his day job. Not yet, anyways. But once he gets a core workforce, and starts to manage clientele...*
*Voltar tried, unsuccessfully, to fall asleep for hours after that. Stray thoughts kept interrupting him, eyes closed and all.*
