*Sky City was a city and spaceport located on the northernmost end of the continent of Landra on Lianna. Of the two cities located on Landra—the other being Northwest—it was the oldest of the two.*

Blue eyes were at half-mast as she languidly sipped at her sixth beer. Thanks to her faster-than-most metabolism, she was just beginning to feel the effects of the comfortable buzz she sought after. It had been some time since she'd been able to enjoy a nice relaxing drink like this; but then, that was the beauty of unemployment... and she was bored shitless.
Around her, the bar bustled with moderate activity. It was too early yet for the real crowd to show. Instead, she was stuck with the last of the less entertaining, day-job alcoholics. Instead of socializing like normal creatures, they simply, silently wanted their fix, so that they could either go back to their jobs or go home for an early night, thank you very much. And, for the life of her, she couldn't understand where they were coming from. Bars were the cradle of the universe, they were the glue that held it all together, and drinking was an inherently communal ritual. The booze took the edge off, and you fought, or you forgot, or you loved, or you laughed. The whole point was to get everything out of your system, so that you could make it through to the next day with only minimal violence. This quiet sadness thing was driving her bonkers.
Her long, prehensile tail unwound itself from the base of the stool she was sitting on to curl around her bottle instead. She gathered her bare feet up, gracefully springing from her seat to hop towards a likely table. Lucky for her, the nearest, fullest one also looked to be the most appealing.
"G'day!" she chirped, making the table's three occupants jump as she swung herself into the fourth chair, "Who's up for a game of poker?"
"Uhm," a male humanoid with blue skin eloquently answered. He then lapsed into silence and was staring at her as if she'd suddenly grown a second head, an impression that seemed to be shared by the rest of the table's occupants.
Still, she wasn't discouraged in the least. Instead, she swung her tail around to place her latest drink on the table, while she used her hands to search her pockets for the deck of cards she always carried. "Good on ya, mates," she responded to their non-committance. Then, a moment later, finding it, she brought out the deck of cards and began dealing, "Now, yer all knowledgeable about the rules, yeah?"
She waited until all of them nodded before baring her fangs in a cheeky grin. "Barkeep!" she hollered, "A round o' drinks for me mates, then! And a bowl o' fruit for me!"
Her unexpected generosity finally earned her three, identically eager smiles--and that only made her own grin widen as she finished dealing and picked up her hand. The others followed suit. For a moment, the table was dominated by intent silence as the players studied their hands. Then, sitting to her left, the blue-skinned male spoke up, "I'll open the pot with twenty credits."
After a few raised eyebrows from the other players, there was a brief shuffling while the male brought the aforementioned currency to the center of their table. Then, the round rolled on...
A couple of hours, and several hands later, two of the table's four occupants left in a rage, leaving behind the better part of whatever cash they had on-hand. In their wake, she split the small fortune with the blue-skinned male while they both had a laugh.
"That was a piece o' piss, then, aye?" She smirked at her long time friend and accomplice-of-old, as she popped a piece of fruit into her mouth and leaned back in her chair. She met him a long time ago on a smuggling job for some faceless money-bags our another. It turned out that they were both hired for the same job, in case the one of them failed. Neither of them much liked their client’s total lack of confidence, so they decided to make off with the goods and sell it themselves, for a much better profit. They’d been close ever since.
"When I saw it was you, Mo, I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing!" the blue-skinned male replied, "But enough about those idiots we scammed, what brings you here? I haven't seen or heard from you in ages!"
"Oh, ya know," she waved a hand, nonchalantly, as she chewed, "Boredom, mostly, and lack of a contract."
“And that’s all you have to say to me? You’re bored?”
She grinned, “Ah, don’t be so cranky, ya feral.” She leaned forward to grab another piece of fruit, which she tossed in the air and adroitly caught with her tongue. “Ya know I like to stay busy, and ya live too far away from anythin’ to visit on the regular.”
Her friend chuckled and nodded his head, “We’ve had this argument before, I know. And I still like it here way better than anywhere else…”
And so, the two continued their conversation with the camaraderie born from an easy friendship; and, for once, Momo let herself get lost in how good it felt to be so normal.
And naturally, just as she was beginning to get accustomed to easy conversation and abundant alcohol, a wookiee had to walk into the bar and get on her bad side in a hurry...

Damocles descended the ramp of The Retribution clad in his black armour. His two-handed khopesh was slung across his back, while his one handed blades were sheathed on his hips. As he came to the base of the ramp, his gaze settled upon Absolution Company, the 24 Mandalorians that had left Mandalore with him oh so long ago. Back then, he had just forfeited the helm. Kaine had been trying to get a rise out of him at that meeting, eager to get the fight he had been denied with the Yuuzhan Vong. The man had been ready and roaring for war.
And then, when he was offered the helm, what did the damned fool do with it? Tossed it in the air, and shot it. Claiming they did not need a Mand'alor and not a word was heard from Clan Australis since. Damocles guessed a large part of that was due to the fact that Kaine and his clan had been marked Dar'manda. A fitting punishment considering the trouble the man had gone through trying to challenge a leader only to claim they did not need one.
But that was long past gone now. It must have been at least a couple years now, and a lot had changed in the Galaxy. He had renamed his ship, and formed Absolution Company. Rigorously training those that had ventured forth with him to deal with a variety of threats and situations. They weren't just mercenaries though. They were a strike team, whose primary focus had been dealing with darjedii foolish enough to trifle with the power of death. While they had not taken out any major players, a large number of upstarts had found the lives ended by the hands of Damocles and his men. The work had also paid quite handsomely. Allowing them to keep on funding themselves.
But he sensed a change in the air...

Arriving a little before the rest of Clan Fett's forces, Vera landed her StarViper close to the other Mandalorians before disembarking in her white beskar'gam. Her helmet was slung under her arm, while otherwise full equipped and ready to go. She scanned the other Mandalorian's who had gathered here. But one caught her eye almost immediately, Damocles Ordo, former Mandalore! Vera was now feeling even more nervous than before. She would be doing battle alongside one of the greatest Mandalorian's in recent history. She slowly and timidly (thought trying her best not to seem it) approached the gathered warriors.

Damocles attention shifted from his men to that of the white armoured female as she exited her StarViper and made her way towards the group. Even from afar, he could just make out the insignia of Clan Fett that adorned her armour. It was enough of a curiosity to draw him through the makeshift camp towards her, intercepting her path just as she got to the edge of the gear that was laid out. His helmet resting upon a table near the foot of the ship ramp, leaving his face unobstructed Su'cuy ner'vod... What brings you to Lianna today? Not a lot of our kind around these parts...

Vera couldn't help but give a sly smile before turning her eyes skyward and back to Damocles. That's changing as we speak. I was sent ahead to scout a landing zone, but I see that may not be needed. She would then produce a small holo communicator and send an alert to Galaar Vhett. Eager to inform him of Damocles' presence on the surface.Aliit'alor, look who I've run into!

Damocles looked up as Vera looked up, wondering just what the young woman expected to see up there. He meet her gaze as she looked back down and mentioned that the fact there were about to be more Mando's here soon. He moved to her side and wrapped his around around her shoulders, guiding her into the encampment as she rattled on about not needing to scout a landing zone any more I think there has been some miscommunication here Ner'vod, I'm not actually apart of what ever... And just like that, the young woman had produced a holo communicator, the image of Galaar Fett soon appearing as Vera announced her news. He brought them both to a stop and forced a smile as he nodded down to the image of the Aliit'alor Fett Galaar... It's been a while...

Galaar's holoimage appeared before Vera and Damocles. From what Damocles could tell, the Mandalorian seemed to be on a ship's bridge.
Vera, this had best be important. There is a battle to conduct overhead after-
Galaar's words stopped as he notices Damocles Ordo adjacent to the young Fett. He falls silent for a moment before a hit upon his ship brought him back to his senses. He barks commands to unseen officers and crew members beyond the holoimage's radius.
Damocles, while it is good to see you again, we will have to catch up later. I would suggest you either join the troops being dispensed to the surface or join the fleet overhead. Otherwise, jump out of this system. The wartime admiral, Torin Bralor, and I are conducting a raid on Lianna. So your choices are few in terms of what you can do at this moment.
Galaar looks at Vera afterward.
Whether Damocles joins the scouting force or not, you had best get a move on, Vera. The Mandalorian Protectors and the clan warriors are embarking on the troop transports. We need the landing zone secured for our surface raid on Sienar's industries.

Nodding to Galaar and then Damocles, Vera left the holocommunicator with Damocles, in case their was to be more to their conversation. Then she rushed back to her Starviper, readying it for lift off. Before long her Viper was in the air and speeding to find or clear an LZ for her fellow Protectors. She would not let her people down.

Damocles studied the holoimage of his old friend for a moment as he Stated that a raid was about to commence. Lianna was little more than a way point on his travels. He had no stakes or duty to defend the world. Nor did he have any reason to aide the attackers. His gaze briefly lingering upon the woman that had found him, before she gave a nod to Galaar and was taking off to find a place for the troops to land.
Space combat was far from his forte, especially given that he had only The Retribution and a handful of warriors. But they would definitely be enough to help Vera out. He shifted his gaze back down to the communicator that had been left with him You leave me little choice old friend... I shall help Vera clear the way for your approach... just this once, understood? He cut the line and slipped the communicator into his pocket. With a wave of his hand, Absolution Company moved into action packing up the gear and getting it loaded onto the ship. Damocles slipped his helmet on and opened a line to Vera There is a spot 10 miles south of the city that I’ll meet you at. It should be large enough to land the incoming forces, without putting them in range of the guns... It seemed like mere moments passed, before he was ascending the ramp back into the ship. The last of the gear being loaded back in as Damocles finished his preflight check.
The ramp retracted as the repulsive lifts moved the ship clear of the ground. The wings folded forward before Damocles piloted The Retribution clear of the spaceport and started making his way towards the spot he had spoken to Vera about

Vera stifled a cheer as Damocles seemed to be joining the raid. She circled back around to meet the lifting off ship, she fell in a flew escort for the Mandalorian as the approached the indicated spot. She ran last minute checks on her systems, in case they needed to clear the LZ of any baddies. Excitement filled every bone and muscle of the young Mandalorian girl. It would be her first real action alongside the Protectors, and having a former Mandalore along to impress was more than she could hope for. She would make her father and clan Fett proud, she had to. She waited for further information from Damocles as the grew closer to the location.

LZ is 5 minutes out. Absolution Company will drop in first, once they secure the area, we can bring our craft in to land... Damocles angled the Kom'rk-class fighter/transport low over the tree tops as the large plain came into view. It was a large open space that would be more than capable of supporting the landing force. And thankfully the local defence force was still busy focusing on the fleet to worry about locking down local traffic on the surface. So it was with relative ease that they were able to get this far.
The troop bay doors retracted open as The Retribution drew closer to the landing site. And then the 24 members of Absolution Company dropped from the ship, their jet packs activating to soften their landing before they spread out. Their attention focused more upon the forest where anyone might be hiding, while Damocles did a fly over the rest of the open area, his ships scanners searching for signs of possible resistance. Thankfully though they were all clear for now LZ is clear, see you on the ground Vera... With a final turn, he made his way back across the clearing and brought The Retribution down to land near where he had dropped his men off initially. Undoubtedly by the time the raiding forces broke through the fleet in orbit this area would be a lot more lively. For now though, Damocles enjoyed the brief respite as he exited his ship, helmet on and waited

Coming in for her own landing once receiving the all clear. This time when she emerged from her Viper, she had her helmet secured and her whole arsenal either slung over her shoulder, or ready to go. Moving over to join Damocles, she nods to him.
Thanks for the assist.
She then realized she had ditched her holocomunictor and blushing under her helmet turned back to Damocles.
You uhh, wouldn't happen to still have that communicator I left with you, would you?

No worries... Not like I could say no to a beautiful lady anyway... He smiled as he reached into a pocket and produced the holocommunicator. Stepping forward he grabbed her wrist gently and pulled it toward him, before pressing the device into her open palm It's a good thing I came to help, otherwise you'd not have been able to radio this in... With a chuckle, he let go of her wrist so that she could make the call up to the fleet. He couldn't help but wonder whether she had just not thought about her need of the device, or if she had calculated already that he would follow her. But then, she surely had to have had a means of communication to the fleet in orbit available in her StarViper

Setting down in staggered positions around The Retribution once they reach the landing zone that Damocles has secured, the Kom'rk-class fighters bearing the ground forces sent by Clan Bralor have scarcely touched down before the Mandalorians within disembark. Tasking some of his troops with verifying that the landing zone is indeed secured, Comyn Bralor, the leader of Clan Bralor's ground forces, has the others break into squadron sized forces and spread out to provide additional perimeter security while he heads for where the Mandalorian Protector ships had set down before his troops arrival, looking for their commanding officer so that he can receive his orders.

Vera could feel herself blush as she had a rather... intense moment with the legendary Damocles Ordo. In fact it took her a couple moments to recover and finally move, let alone speak. Good thing she had on her helmet. Turning away she activated the projector again.Galaar Vhett, we have secured a landing zone, sending the coordinates now. It seems Clan Bralor has already began their landing. I await your futher orders, Aliit'alor.

Damocles smiled behind his mask as Vera took a moment to compose herself after receiving the transmitter back. He then turned his attention toward Comyn Bralor, motioning toward the holoprojection of Galaar as the man finished giving out his instructions Seems we're going to be raiding Sienar industries headquarters. Your forces ready to go?

Your forces ready to go? Punching Damocles companionably on the shoulder, Comyn chuckles as he says, Vi cuyir ratiin tsikala, vod. Kelir vaabir ibic. * Oya!
Turning from Damocles, Comyn begins barking orders to the Mando'ade under his command, assigning them their roles and tasks for the initial assault phase of the operation. Two combined squads composed of sniper teams, are tasked with moving ahead of the main advance to act as forward observers, maintaining constant comm contact with their comrades to apprise them of any enemy positions or troop movements or to provide cover if needed, while the other squads are given areas of responsibility to watch over during the advance and then begin moving on their objective, using bounded fire once contact with the enemy is made. Having the pilot of one of the Kom'rk-class fighters that bore his troops to the surface lift off and assume an aerial overwatch role to add to the intel on enemy movements and positions, Comyn has the others go on standby to be ready should they be needed to provide air support for the assault on Sienar's headquarters.
Comyn, joining the troops of his command and support element briefly to given them their orders, then has his second in command, medic and comms operator accompany him as he moves to joins the Mando'ade at the head of the assault given his preference to lead from the front. * We are always ready, comrade. Let's do this.
