Pinged me on the wrong account lol. Hello Cique Claybourne, I am writing on my Nicademus account, but I am Galaar Fett. How may I be of assistance in terms of helping you become a mando?

Sorry, the hardcore Mandos don't know that not everyone can understand nor speak the language remotely haha!
So, considering your blank slate, I do want to ask if you have any ideas in mind of a Mandalorian. Anything we can help mold and give suggestions to.

I don't know how one gets to be a mando without being born one but I would like to start out as an outsider, maybe a honorable bounty hunter or something then get into it that way.

Well, there are two ways to become a Mandalorian. There is the one, as you mentioned, being born into a Mandalorian family. The other was introduced by an earlier Mand'alor who said that anyone who could prove themselves could become a Mandalorian. We follow both ways in this sense. As one Mandalorian quote says: "Aliit ori'shya tal'din - Family is more than blood."
So you could be a bounty hunter who has proven themselves worthy to be a Mandalorian, which would likely lead to someone sponsoring your way into the society. Any Mandalorian could make this possible.

Well, we can have it after your trial (in which you are on your way to be a Mando) or discuss with a Mandalorian on what you would be... your rite/trial to join the Mandalorians. We have some active clan leaders and Mandalorians that would love to help out. From there, it would probably be a matter of the Mandalorians accepting you as one of their own.

Let's start with the trial then move on from there

Well, the best way to prove yourself to a mandalorian is for them to see you in action. In order for that to happen, you could do a short story with a mandalorian where they observe you carrying out a contract or something. If you're wondering what it takes to Be a Mandalorian, the easiest way to explain it is to tell you about the 6 tenants that are core to the Mandalorian Culture called the Resol'nare. The Resol'nare are: 1) wearing armor, 2) speaking the language, 3) defending oneself and family, 4) raising your children as Mandalorians, 5) contributing to the clan's welfare, 6) and when called upon by the Mand'alor, rallying to their cause. As Nic mentioned earlier, you don't really have to use Mando'a in your posts, or even to really understand it. It really is for those of us who are more hardcore about it. There are some who have gone to the lengths of actually learning to speak it, but that is not necessary in order for you to play a Mando. There are a number of clans which your character could join/be brought into. and then trained. After which point you would earn your armor (the good Beskar stuff).

Well... fighting for the Mandalorians, dueling with a Mandalorian, contributing to the Assembly in some way. Most of the time, Mandalorians prove themselves through deeds earned in battle. Bravery, skill, etc. That sort of stuff.

hhhmmmm. fastest? fastest might be to go after the same target as a mandalorian, get into a scuffle, and show true fighting ability. that is, if you're determined to join by being brought in from the outside.
