Ali growled angrily as @aidan finished having his say and pulled out a flask from his chest pocket. Ali reached out and snatch the flask from the man's hand and poured its contents onto the icy floor of the hangar bay. First off, Miles, Ali snapped over her secure comlink. She hoped to keep the news a secret from the Jensaarai and Garwig until Jonn had been dealt with properly. Her main concern was their intervention in what was strictly a GALSAF affair. We don't drink on the job, ever. Second, I don't care if this is normal behavior, Sylas's still under the terms of his release. He doesn't get the same freedom you do. Ali felt her anger and frustration marinate in the bastardization of the trust she had placed in Jonn. I want him found, and I want him punished. Got it!? Ali looked away from Miles, her cheeks burning behind her helmet's T-shaped visor. She turned to @kaytra as she heard the pilot speak, nodding and waving her hand dismissively. Do it, go now. Ali grumbled, looking back to Crystaall Sehefadu as the Jensaarai woman's private transmission came in through her helmet link. Considering Crystaall's expressed doubts regarding Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh's probable plan of action, Ali was glad Crystaall had kept her words a secret. Sylas is mine, Crys, and if Garwig wants to make a problem of it, I'll put him down. Ali knew her words were harsh, but her anger for Jonn was too strong at the moment to care. The thought didn't even cross her mind that such an implication might shock and hurt Crystaall, considering her own standing as a Jensaarai. Ali wasn't sure of an astromech's ability to keep up with soldiers in such heavy terrain, though she wasn't in the mood to argue over it. Sure, send the droid along, I don't care. Ali added, shifting her weapon to her left hand and turning towards the hangar bay door. Just keep in mind my boys aren't going to wait up for your droid if it falls behind. Ali threw her free hand up over her shoulder, signaling for all those sharing her objective to follow.Sergent Walf nodded solemnly at Jan'ika Fett as the youth responded. Pulling a small cutting tool out of his pocket, Walf held it out to Janus, explaining its uses. Pliers, cutting laser, chisel, all in one, verd'ika1. Should make for quick removal of any crystals you find. Keep it. Walf on his own wasn't the friendliest of Mando'ade, but Janus reminded him of himself in his early years; a young Mandalorian bereft of anything to ground him, life pushing him out on his own at a young age. He didn't know the boy's situation, but seeing you g Mando'ade out in the galaxy, living their own lives, was becoming a rare sight indeed, and Walf admired the boy's courage.

*Crystaall nodded toward her droid. R4 understood the nod as Ali's men began to leave and he followed behind them closely. When they got on the snow terrain, the droid switched his tracks to keep up with the soldiers.*
Ali, if Garwig gets involved, I will deal with it. I understand your anger, but keep it controlled. None of us expected this. And if you need any help, I'm yours. And my droid had to keep up with me for 6 years, I think he can keep up with commandos.

*Kaytra gave a nod at Alis orders. Quickly she hurried over to a small group of speeder bikes sitting close to the LAAT/i. Without giving it much thought she chose the old BARC speeder sitting at the edge of the group. She fired the bike up and turned to Miles.*
"You coming? He's your friend."

He shrugs before pulls his white cloak over his shoulders. This was exactly how it usually played out. Sylas disappears. Brass is caught with their pants down. Sylas pulls through for the mission. Everyone comes home happy. And Sylas was a criminal long before GALSAF took him in. Of course, Ali didn’t know that yet but no good would come from it if she wouldn’t listen in the first place. He should be with Kaytra and the rest, but it would be a waste of time. He turns on his comlink to address @kaytra, his voice pleasant and reassuring. If Jonn wanted to be found, he'd be with us. If y'all want to track him down though, keep one thing in mind: keep it simple. Jonn ain't that complex, darlin'. He swithced his comlink to Ali Hadrix; his voice moderate and calm. The lady’s right, Ma’am. Worry about leading your boys. Nodding at Crystaall Sehefadu, he jogged towards the front of the group, looking to get well ahead of the initial scouts.

*Kaytra narrowed her eyes slightly at Miles response. Figuring it best to just get going, she pulled her face wrap up covering her face from her nose down, then pulled down her goggles over her eyes. Leaning forward she grabbed the controls and shoved the throttle forward. The bike let out a loud roar and shot out of the hangar, into the snowy windswept terrain. Her destination was the place where the pirate had been found, then from there to Echo base. Hitting her comlink, she sent Ali Hadrix one last message.*
::I'll report in before I engage Sylas. I might go silent for a while after that. Who knows what those pirates are hiding at that base::

Ali waited for the two squads to gather around her as the other half of the platoon stayed with Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh, minus of course those leaving to search for Sylas. Their armor was painted a mottled grey-white pattern, and would remain nearly invisible in the stormy terrain. Weapons were painted as well, and even the T-shaped visors of most of their helmets were painted over in a light coat that would lessen their visibility across distances. At the moment, Ali didn't particularly care about the details everyone was trying to share with her. She didn't care if Crystaall Sehefadu's astromech could make point-five passed light speed, whether or not @aidan thought Jonn's behavior was normal. She didn't care about anything except bringing the hutuun1 in, and beating him within an inch of his life and the mission itself. The only message she bothered checking was @kaytra's, though she didn't respond; the pilot would see on her own comlink that the message had been read. Furious, Ali stormed silent and fuming out of the hangar, and into the snow beyond. Before the rest of her team caught up, she had nearly disappeared, the snow was beating down so thickly. Identifying the direction of the objective, Ali made her way through the snow-ridden landscape, intent on finishing the mission so she could get to finishing Jonn. Some ways behind her, as she passed by tall, spear-shaped formations protruding from the snowy ground, her soldiers began to follow, keeping their distance to remain undetected by their enemies.1: Coward, one of the worst insults in Mandalorian culture

= Sergio “Sam” Ghomesz = Nothing has changed, and everything has changed. Sam thinks as he takes to the skies. Immediately, he is buffeted by strong winds and has to draw on the Force to help stabilize his flight path. He ponders the events that led to this moment. Everything seemed to be going fine, as always, at the start of their arrival on Hoth, it was standard procedure, and working with the Jensaarai once more. He thought of them as an extended family member. They have common goals and fairly similar moralities and concepts on how to deal with missions, hence why they work so well together.
And then, just when the mission planning seems to reach a conclusion, the teams are assigned, everyone readies their gear, Jonn Sylas disappears. Not for the first time, Sam wonders if he should have paid more attention to the man. He had sensed some form of anxiety in passing earlier, but thought nothing of it as just a discomfort with the climate and terrain of the planet. Hoth is not exactly the most hospitable planet in the galaxy, and between the wampas and the weather, only the hardiest souls would consider eking out an existence out here. The chatter on the matter was limited and kept down to a select few individuals. He didn’t know the whole story, but he knew enough. He briefly recalls the few times that he’s worked together with Sylas. They are few and far between, but enough to let him glean that Jonn is a far more secretive man than even Consuela in many ways. For one, the man (if he is indeed a man) smells of inconsistency, a sense of constant change. This scent tells Sam one thing: Jonn is a shapechanger of some sort.
Unlike Kaytra, who instead, comes with a scent of a foreign presence on a humanoid, Jonn’s scent is his, but shifting, changing, always different. It makes tracking him through scent...challenging. He doesn’t trust easily, nor does he care overmuch to gain the trust of others, though he makes no attempt to forge enemies left and right (excepting Ali, who is very much an enemy right now). Because he didn’t get overly involved with the man during their mission to Tatooine, his knowledge on Jonn’s character is very limited, other than what he knows through distant observations, and being such a guarded person, he was careful to conceal anything that would give too much of himself away. Sam never pried because everyone had a right to their privacy, and now he realizes that perhaps he should have pried at least a little.
He watched Ali as she stormed off into the snow, and without another word, the mission had begun. The commandos, knowing the general mission plan, began to act according to the plans or improvised as they saw fit. He noticed Kaytra had taken off with a speeder, most likely in pursuit of Jonn, and this made Sam mildly alarmed. It isn’t that he thinks Kaytra can’t handle herself. She’s a commando, and a good one. Her exceptional piloting skills, despite her condition proves just how resilient she is. What really troubles Sam is that...from the same mission with Jonn on Tatooine, he had bonded somewhat with the young woman, far more than he had with anyone else thus far. He opened up by beginning conversation with her, and while she may consider it as nothing more than just idle chatter, Sam took it as far more. It was acceptance to him, acceptance of trust, and an opportunity for Sam to once more consider risking his emotional state by befriending a mortal. Already, he considers her wellbeing far more than before, and yearned to keep her safe, or at least ensure she would be able to rely on him should the need arise. So without thinking, his flight path deviates somewhat and he stays within communications range with her, albeit from the skies.
He opens a channel on a private line to her, letting her know of his presence and range. :: Good hunting, ad’ika (lass). K'oyacyi (Come back safely). He uses Mando’a due to his prolonged time amongst Mandalorians, their culture, and language, though it is not his own preferred choice, yet, he felt the young woman would understand the terms he applied, and his wishes. He doesn’t add that she may call on him if she wishes, for he is not yet certain if she would feel offended by such an offer, as she might think he feels her unable to handle things on her own. Rather, he will simply stay close by, watching from above, while at the same time, he will continue to perform his original mission as expected by Ali Hadrix. He is still a commando, and he has his duty to fulfill.

Sgt. Gaebryl Sheperd Second Squad, 4th Platoon, Fox Company, GALSAF Gaebryl Sheperd was a simple man. Wife. Three kids. He had lived a quiet life back on Talus in the Corellian Sector, making ends meet as a miner. But when the call went out that GALSAF was looking for a few good men and women, he threw down his pickaxe in exchange for a rifle. "Connie." He turned to his wife, duffel bag over his shoulder. "There's a lot of evil out there. Unspeakable, indefinable evil. But look around you." He waved his arm indicating their quaint home and the lands beyond. "Quiet. Peaceful. We've lived good, honest lives Connie. Untouched by the darkness that lurks beyond our stars. And it is because of people like those in GALSAF that we've been allowed this reprieve. This small pocket of happiness. It's time we gave back to the men and women who have given their lives, so that we might live ours." Connie Sheperd leaned her cheek into her husband's palm as Gaebryl moved to caress her face, his thumb wiped away her tears. Connie smiled for her husband, however forced it may have been his wife's smiles never failed to add a little more brightness to his day. "What do you want me to tell the kids?" His kids. Their beautiful, wonderful children. Little Jak and the twins, Mags and Gabby. Three fourths of the reason why he decided to enlist. He'd spent the past two days with them. Taking them out and driving them around on their landspeeder. They knew something was up. But neither he nor Connie knew how to break the news to them, not knowing how they'd take it. It was wrong of him to just slip away and he felt like a coward leaving his wife to handle the fallout. But he was afraid he'd change his mind if he saw a single tear go down their cheeks. Before he could respond to his wife's query, the pitter-patter of tiny little feet resounded across the room as a pair of small arms clutched his leg. Looking down he saw the handsome face of little Jak staring up at him. Gaebryl dropped his duffel to the ground as he lifted Jak up into an embrace. "Come here you! What're you doing still up? It's way past your bedtime, isn't that right mom?" Gaebryl looked at his wife who merely smiled. She fought her hardest not to break into tears in front of their son.Blonde-haired little Jak smiled as he saw that his father wasn't really mad at him for being awake and said, "Dad dad, is't true you're joinin' GALSAF?" Gaebryl was surprised at the excitement in his son's voice. "You're gonna fight some bad guys like a hero?" Gaebryl chuckled as he held his son closer. " Yes I will be fighting some bad guys. But I'm just a man, son. A man trying to do the right thing. I'm no hero. You know who is though?" He lowered his son back down and knelt before him. Laying his hand on the boy's head he continued to say. "You, Jak. You're a hero by being here to watch out for your mom and your sisters while I'm gone. Think you can handle that?" Jak grinned up at his father and nodded earnestly. "Sure can! I'll fight anyone who tries to hurt Ma and Mags and Gabby! Like this! Hah! Hiyah!" His son proceeded to demonstrate by doing combo punches and kicks at the air. Gaebryl laughed as he ruffled his son's hair. "See dad? Maybe when I'm bigger I can join GALSAF too!" Gaebryl brought his son close, giving him one last hug and a kiss on his forehead. Glancing up at his wife he saw that she'd lost the battle, her body shuddering as more tears streamed down her face. "I'm sure you could, son. But I'm going out there to make sure that you won't have too." Gaebryl shouldered his duffel, kissed his son and wife one last time, and said his goodbyes before heading out into the night.Present Day, GALSAF-Jensaarai Joint Mission to Hoth "This baby can hit marks over three kilometers away while still maintaining maximum effective range." Lance Corporal Dreemer lovingly patted the Verpine-class carbine that hung on his shoulder-sling. "The magnetic rail-system utilized in its projectile propulsion means it's as silent as a ghost-" Dreemer looked over to Corporal Go'sai who stood next to him, a small and slight man similarly decked out in GALSAF's modified Katarn-class armor. "Kinda like you, 'cept prettier and actually talks more." Corporal "Ghost" Go'sai retorted with silence, arms crossed loosely across his chest. Dreemer rolled his eyes and continued on. "It's also equipped with a scope that can detect-" Sergent Gaebryal Sheperd raised his hand to interject, his voice coming out of his helmet's vocoder. Dreem. Pretty sure Go'sai went through the same training that we did. Actually, I think we were in the same company, if memory serves me correctly. Hell, might've been the same platoon even. Stop me if I'm talking crazy but I think he just might be familiar with the carbine's specs. Ain't that right Ghost? The smaller man gave a shrug. "Geez- kriffin-A, Shep. You try keeping up a conversation with this guy and let's see if you don't start quoting from the manual. Kriff-" Dreemer glanced around "The hell's Sylas anyway? He still takin' a piss? Frakkin-A, he wouldn't have to go off if he just kept his damn armor on." Sheperd just shook his head. Sometimes he wondered how Dreemer ever made it through training. Because if he had been paying attention then he would've noticed that the silent bedlam going through their command structure right now was due to Lance Corporal Jonn Sylas. The man had apparently gone AWOL. Sheperd kept calm as he watched the exchange that went on between the higher-ups and their other new comrades. He didn't pick up on everything since they probably relayed most of the information through the private channels, but he did catch what Corporal Bandak said through the general frequency. A corpse was found nearby and Sylas was missing, save his gear apparently. He exchanged looks with Go'sai who must have heard it as well due to having his helmet on, unlike Dreemer. The three of them had been in the same squad on Bespin along with Sylas, and despite the relatively short time they had come to like the shapeshifter. So Sheperd couldn't help the small feeling of concern that settled in his gut upon picking up on the news. He kept an eye trained on Ali Hadrix out the corner of his HUD. He'd spent enough time under the Leftenant to know when she was teetering on the edge. It looked as if @aidan and the Jensaarai Crystaall Sehefadu were attempting to be discreet at placating her. Sheperd knew it wouldn't work. Not until the Leftenant got a couple rounds in at whatever the hell it was that set her off. Suddenly Flight Officer @kaytra broke away from the group and headed towards the parked speeder bikes at the same time He'gai pointed at his team to head over. Sheperd clapped Dreemer on the back then tapped his helmet. Buy'ce on, Dreem. Dreemer blinked at him a moment before slipping his helmet on. Snap-hiss. Go'sai was already ahead of them when He'gai's voice came over their helms' coms. One of you strap that astromech onto your bike. Sheperd frowned. What was the point of having the astromech along? Better yet, why were they taking speeders if they were for the caverns? Something wasn't right. And Sheperd had a feeling their missing shapeshifter had something to do with it. At the corner of his HUD he saw Go'sai and Dreemer doing something with their hands, with the astromech between them. Mando, Sith, Jedi- shoot! Go'sai wrapped his open hand around Dreemer's fist. That's a load of bantha-poodoo, how's a sith beat Mando anyway? Tch. Go'sai just shrugged as he left Dreemer staring down at the droid. Sheperd couldn't help but be amused at his comrades antics. Making sure his own Verpine carbine was secure on it's clip, Sheperd settled himself onto one of the speeder bikes. Hey Sarge, so's it true they're nixing Corporal and below? Me, Ghost and Sylas are making Sergent? Sweet deal. Sergent Dreemer's kinda got a ring to it. Hey where is Sylas anyway? Someone tell him we were riding thrantas on this mission or something? 'Caus-Dreemer's inane small talk was cut short by their quarren Sergent. Lance Corporal Jonn Sylas has gone AWOL. We are tasked with finding him and bringing him in. Dead or alive, the Leftenant has made it clear she has no particular preference. Now shut up for once, Dreemer. He'gai's voice had a clear edge to it as it came through their helmets' secure coms. But- Sarge, Sylas saved- Dreemer started only for He'gai to cut him off. Enough, Lance Corporal. We have our orders. We are GALSAF Commandos. We do as we are told. We do not bend. We do not break. We do not question. And most of all we do not run. Do I make myself clear? Silence. Crystal, Sergent He'gai. They started up their speeder-bikes in unison and as one body followed after Leftenant @kaytra, the R4 astromech strapped onto Lance Corporal Dreemer's bike.Ten months. Ten, Force-forsaken months since he saw Connie, Jak and the twins. He'd done a lot of good since having joined GALSAF. And he was going to keep doing what needed doing. But he was going to do it with his brothers-in-arms by his side. Sergent He'gai. Corporal Go'sai. And Lance Corporals Dreemer and Sylas. Jonn had earned the right to be called their brother and he was damned sure there was a good reason for his taking off. He knew it. Dreem knew it. Ghost didn't say much but he knew it too. And so did their quarren squad leader. Whatever happened out there, they were all leaving this icy hellhole together. And from there Sheperd would get his much deserved leave and see his family once more. Maybe he'll tell little Jak about his rag-tag squad. Maybe they'll come along with him. The thought brought a smile to Gaebryl's face as he imagined his two families meeting for the first time. The repulsor-lifts fitted on the Commandos of Baker Team's speeder bikes made a low humming sound as they speeded off into the unknown dangers that awaited them.

*The BARC speeder bike roared across the snowy terrain. The cold wind and snow rushed past its driver as she pushed the bike forward. In her comlink she could hear Sam wishing her luck and to be safe. She gave a silent nod, and spoke into the private com to Sam.* "Thanks Sam. I will."
Finally Kaytra brought the bike to a halt where the pirate had been found. Dismounting from the speeder, she scanned the area, taking in every detail. She knew where Sylas was heading. Turning to He'gai, she spoke.* "See if you can't get the droid scanning for life forms. I don't want any surprises."

He didn't want to miss any orders but there were so many people at this point it was hard to keep track of who was doing what. Especially since so many of them were new faces to the boy.

At times, Aidan would close his eyes and imagine himself one with his surroundings. It was native speak of course, but he found comfort in the thought, especially when comfort was not given to you when hunting the hunter. Wampas were crafty creatures and the nature of how they hunted left them waiting in ambush on large areas where tauntauns fed on hoarfrost and smaller creatures. Echo base would have to be situated relatively close to the hunting grounds so Aidan started the trek to find the hunting “sweet spot”. That sweet spot for wampas would be where their prey frequented, in this case, harmless tauntauns. He did not have to look for tauntauns but he kept an eye out for what they fed on to get on their trail. A few minutes after leaving the main force behind he found ice scrabblers but no fungus on the hoarfrost. A few clicks later he found the vast area where Aidan found tauntaun droppings. From there it was up to him to figure out where he would hunt from a distance nice he wouldn't want to risk facing these creatures up close himself. And then he saw the hill. Slightly rocky, it provided the perfect view for any incoming wampa, or anyone for that matter. There was a rock formation situated near the top. It would only be natural for him to wait there sitting on his cloak. If these men were as good as the boys have told him, Aidan would be the wampa; the poachers, the tauntauns.
Thirty minutes didn’t take long once he heard the soft engine noise. Once the poachers stepped out of their speeder, he got a perfect look on them. There were three of them, one shooter, one spotter, and the driver stayed behind near the speeder. Garbed in white, they stood about average height yet looked large enough to go through the rigors of hunting wampas. Like professionals, they kept their voices low, their steps quiet, and stationed themselves on the hill. The driver stayed behind while the other two set up their equipment. Their problem was the actual professional, virtually silent, waiting for them about twenty yards away. He wished these rocks were closer though. He waited a few more minutes before leaving his cloak under a rock. Timing his movement with the howling wind, he crawled towards the men, mindful of the noise the snow made. He had done this before in desert, jungle, and snow and he was thankful the basics of his SpecForce training never left him. His heartbeat slowed enough to be in sync with his crawl as he prayed for more wind. Once next to the speeder, Aidan got up into a crouch until he stood behind the driver standing next to it. He had drawn out his blade as he got closer. With his left hand, he grabbed the man's mouth, pulling him down. He further increased his leverage with a right boot placed behind the man's left knee. He plunged the blade into the man’s spine while holding tightly with his left hand to silence the scream. All was done in one fluid motion. Once he felt the driver's body go limp, he slowly laid the body down, pulling out his blade. Still crouched, he approached the other two poachers that were looking out for prey. The shooter was crouched with his rifle held across his chest while his spotter was prone, looking into his scanner for lifeforms. Aidan wrapped his left arm around the shooter’s neck, pulling him next to Aidan’s left thigh. He thrust down his machete through the man’s heart, killing him. As soon as he dropped the body and pulled out his blade, however, the spotter got up with his pistol drawn in his right hand. Letting the last poacher's swing the pistol towards him, Aidan used the swing’s momentum to push the man’s aim to Aidan’s right as he leaned his body towards his left, turning sideways. Grabbing the pistol arm towards him once the shot had missed, he plunged his blade towards the poacher’s throat. Pulling out his machete out of the last man, Aidan sighed. He forgot to breathe along with his strikes.
He ran through the poacher’s equipment and found nothing of value outside their comlinks. He linked one to his own. These sentries won't trouble Ali and GALSAF but there were more. With his newfound ears, Aidan remained still and listened for them.

*Crystaall sighed as she watched Ali storm off. She quickly did a two figure salute to the Saarai-Kaar and patted Ursi on the shoulder.*
"Come on, let's catch up before she gets too far ahead."
*Crystaall would begin jogging out of the hangar, expecting her apprentice to be right beside her. They would soon catch up to Ali and the others. Crystaall wanted to be near Ali but she sensed too dark a feeling from her than expected and decided to stay in between her and her commandos. Her stealth field generator soon turned on and she became nearly invisible. She spoke in a whisper to Ursi, still expecting her to be beside her.*
"I'm wondering if you know why I'm deciding to hang back from Ali."

= Consuela Isabel Monteiro, Volaris “Gunner” Gonar, Axton Nobulus & Danaewyn = She waits to be acknowledged when she returns to Ali Hadrix and Crystaall, but a series of events and a flurry of activity quickly left her alone, save for the three commandos, handpicked by her. She looks back at them, and they shuffle their feet uncertainly. She can make out their expressions easily, because their helmets are still hanging under the crooks of their elbows. Tendrils of vapor trail out with each breath of the commandos, the bite of Hoth’s cold particularly sharp, yet she shows little reaction to the extreme weather conditions despite her ill-suited garb and lack of insulated armor. She decides that there is obviously not going to be any further orders issued, and she should just carry out the previously assigned mission to her. She won’t be alone in any case. The commandos will protect her as much as she will protect them. The only indication of an action to be taken by Volaris, Axton and Danaewyn is a subtle nod, and she begins walking.
Volaris watches her heading into the ice storm and his eyes widen in alarm. He rushes after her, calling out, "Uh... Al'verde (Commander)?"She turns around, regarding him in silence, as always, and expecting further questions or a statement, and he doesn’t hesitate to ask, because it is so blatantly obvious something is wrong with her, "Aren’t you going to put on at least a coat?"She looks down at herself in wonderment. The last time she came here, she remembered wearing even less than what she has on now: A grey-white form-fitting shirt, a cream colored vest over it, a grey silver-worked belt, grey suede leggings and dark boots. She’s definitely not naked, and apparently, she doesn’t feel the weather the way Volaris and the others do despite the insulation and protection provided by their armor. She simply arches her right eyebrow at Volaris as Axton and Danaewyn catch up. Sighing, Volaris realizes she’s been in that outfit since she disembarked from the LAAT/i gunship, and has been walking around in the cold without giving the slightest shiver. She can’t be human, that’s for sure, not even Jetii would walk around without minimum protection. He puts on his helmet, which makes a snap-hiss sound as it locks into place, completely sealing the man in a personalized environment, an action mimicked by the other two commandos, and he says, with another sigh, :: Aka (Mission)? ::The barest upward quirk of her lips is her only response, and she points ahead, beyond them, into the deep snow. It is difficult to see very far ahead due to the heavy snow, piling up on the ground about a meter a minute, yet, she walks on the snow, light of foot, and leaving behind no footprints for even a few seconds. The commandos hasten to follow after her, as she quickly disappears from sight at no more than four meters ahead. Axton watches her move with such confidence and surety, and the fact that she is evidently unaffected by the cold, and just whistles to himself in amazement, and says, :: Ori'ramikad (Supercommando)! ::Grinning under her helmet, Danaewyn nudges Axton on the elbow, :: Verd ori'shya beskar'gam (A warrior is more than his armor)! :: She says, and nods her head at the silent woman’s back. Axton shrugs his shoulders and follows the others.* * * * * The trek is arduous, but nothing GALSAF commandos haven’t been trained to endure, nonetheless, having a virtually mute leader does make for a somewhat edgy situation. Keeping their eyes out for any surprises or pirates, Volaris, Axton and Danaewyn stay within sight of each other. At the same time, they spare glances to make sure she is still visible, because while she is sure of where she is going, they really have no idea what she’s got in mind, or where exactly she is at any given time, due to her having no tracking device or target locker. Eventually, Axton opens a comlink to his teammates, though he addresses only Volaris, :: Hey, Gunner. :::: Hnn? :::: Any idea where we’re heading? :::: No. :::: And that doesn’t bother you? ::Volaris shrugs, :: Not the first time I’ve been sent into a mission with little more than some basic intel on a target. ::Axton nods, and then goes back to scanning the terrain with his eyes and helmet sensors. But after a while, he pipes up again, :: See anything much? ::Volaris sighs audibly, loud enough for his pick-up mic to relay to the other two commandos, :: Nope, nothing on my visuals, Ax, but I’m picking up plenty of audio... ::Axton looks over excitedly. :: Really? Where? :::: Heading, west, bearings two-two-oh-mark-five by thirty-three. ::Axton utilizes his helmet computer to calculate the location, and when he gets the results, he exclaims, :: Hey, that’s... :::: …you, di’kut (idiot)! :::: Ah, Mirsh'kyramud! :: Danaewyn complains, :: No wonder our alor (leader) isn’t wearing any armor or a helmet. ::Axton turns to look at her, :: Why? :::: So she doesn’t have to listen to you two! :::: Well it bothers me when it’s too quiet. :: Axton counters. :: Nothing out here but us and all this snow! :::: K’uur (hush/be quiet)! :: Danaewyn says with an upraised hand, noticing something, :: She’s stopped walking. ::The commandos pause as they all notice now that she has indeed stopped moving, and appears to be looking down at her feet. She turns around, and looks back at the commandos. She approaches Axton and gently pushes him back from where he is standing. After obliging her and moving back, she bends down and begins digging at the snow. Before long, they soon see what appears to be the access hatch of a small craft, and the other three commandos quickly join in digging out the starfighter.:: Thing’s been here forever! :: Axton mumbles, and she looks at him, but doesn’t respond in any way other than to continue digging the vessel out with her bare hands. The cold of the ice doesn’t seem to hurt her hands, much like she continues to appear unaffected by the weather, other than a slight reddening of her cheeks and the tip of her nose.
Soon, most of the upper half of the Nsiss-class clawcraft is exposed and visible, and the commandos, aside from her, step back to view the fighter in admiration. Axton whistles appreciatively, :: She’s a beauty. :::: Yep. :: Volaris agrees. She looks over at Axton, and points at him, then her pointing hand shifts over to the clawcraft. She nods her head once, and starts walking away. Understanding the simple meaning behind her gestures, Volaris claps Axton on the back, :: Congratulations, burc’ya (friend), you just got the job of making sure this thing can fly. :::: Oh, hell yeah! :: Axton doesn’t even wait, and clambers into the craft. He’s soon visible inside the ship from the viewport, and he busies himself going through the ship’s schematics and systems.
Volaris rolls his eyes and channels a comlink to him, :: Use the ship’s com to keep in touch with us. We’ll be with her. :: He nods his head in the direction of the silent woman.:: Got it, Gunner. Hey, stay safe out there. :::: You too. ::Volaris and Danaewyn catch up with her just as she nearly disappears from view completely, something that is easy to accomplish in a storm this thick. Even with visual scanners and image enhancers, the commandos are hard-pressed to keep her in view. She barely registers on a heat scan. Volaris and Danaewyn feel a little anxious about this part of their mission, and in a ways, they feel a little envious of Axton, who is safely tucked away in a starfighter. Apparently, the silent woman has a friend of sorts amongst one of the wampas, and with Ali’s approval, she has been given the go ahead to make contact with the wampas, and to see if they can coordinate, or sort of leave the GALSAF commandos and Jensaarai alone while they clear out the poachers that’s hunting them.:: Think this’ll actually work? :: Danaewyn asks.Volaris looks over at his friend, then back at the silent woman, and shrugs, :: Leftenant Hadrix trusts her. That’s good enough for me. Pretty sure she wouldn’t be going into this with the intention to get herself or us killed. ::After some time, she raises up a hand, and the commandos stop in their tracks. She turns and signals at them to stay put. When she turns back to look ahead, shadowy forms can be seen drawing closer, looming larger. Despite themselves, Volaris and Danaewyn’s grip tighten on their weapons as three full grown wampas emerge from the snowstorm, and they watch in amazement as the wampas surround her. She stands amongst them, unperturbed and not the least bit alarmed at their enormous sizes. If they attack her, Volaris and Danaewyn knew there’s no way they’ll be fast enough to stop them now, with the way they’re surrounding her. Plus, it would be counterproductive to actually harm these animals. They’re here with the Jensaarai to help protect them in the first place.
So they watch helplessly as the wampas almost completely block the silent woman from view by drawing closer to her. She puts a hand out on the shoulder of the one on her right. They are all walking on all fours, hiding their full size. Volaris stares in amazement as the wampas appear to be demonstrating signs of affection to her, with the one behind her stroking her hair, while another is nuzzling her back. Only the one whom she is in a semi-embrace with, now holding on to its left arm with both hands, running them through its thick white fur in a comforting manner. The wampas grunted and groaned softly, but audible enough for the commandos to pick up with their external audio sensors.:: Amazing... :: Danaewyn whispers, watching the scene unfold before her. She knew that the silent woman has some sort of affinity, based on the mission particulars given to her before they set out, but she still couldn’t believe it, even now while it is happening right before her. Volaris simply stares open-mouthed, though no one would be able to see that through his helmet. It seems like she is silently communing with them, the way a Jetii does. Perhaps she is Force-Sensitive. She has to be. How else would this be possible? But Volaris notices...or rather, he feels like something is amiss. Neither he nor Danaewyn dare to draw much closer to the large animals, but they are close enough for Volaris to observe some aspects of the animals, and from what he can tell, they aren’t happy. He just knows. And the way the silent woman is rubbing the arm of one of the wampas in a comforting manner. Though her back is turned to the commandos, Volaris could guess she isn’t looking happy either, for some reason.
His suspicions are confirmed when she turns around and starts walking back to the commandos. The wampas stay where they are, watching her in silence. She looks visibly upset.:: What now, alor (leader)? :: Volaris asks, and she shakes her hands in front of her furiously. Tears begin to streak down from her eyes. Her lips part to bare clenched teeth as she silently weeps. This alarms Volaris as she’s not prone to visible expressions of emotion, from the few times he’s seen or interacted with her. :: What’s wrong??? ::Danaewyn shares Volaris’ concern, though she doesn’t say anything. The silent woman simply responds by placing her right hand over her heart for a while, letting the tears fall freely, then she violently pulls her hand away in a clenched fist. Her heart has been torn, as has those of the three wampas behind her. She unclenches her palm, and reveals a single claw...a wampa claw. And suddenly it becomes clear to both Volaris and Danaewyn: None of the three wampas are her friend, though they are related or close to it, and it was killed, by the poachers. Possibly one of the first casualties, and the wampas are anguished. A pain that she now shares with them. She lowers her head for a moment, and before either commando could reach out to try and encourage her, her eyes rise back up, and now they are filled with rage. Her lips tremble and curl downwards in a definite display of fury. Without giving any signals or anything, she turns away, and the wampas imitate her movement.
She begins walking away, the wampas leading the way, and they are all swept up from view by the falling snow.:: Dar’yaim (hell)... :: Volaris exclaims, :: We’re dead. :::: Why do you say that? :: Danaewyn asks.:: You want to tell Leftenant Hadrix that our alor has just gone native? ::Danaewyn thinks about it for a moment and then says, :: You’re right. We’re dead. ::Volaris begins walking in the direction that the wampas and the silent woman went, and Danaewyn asks, :: You’re following them??? :::: We’re commandos, Danaewyn. The mission is not yet complete, and this is but a change in the plan. She still lives, and she still leads. She’s still going to help...in her own way. Don’t know how, but I’m sure we’ll have a better chance if we stick with her and her friends on their quest for vengeance. ::After a moment, Danaewyn soon starts walking, joining Volaris at his side, and soon, they are all consumed by the neverending winter, disappearing from view, and venturing into an unknown destiny.

The boots of Second Squad's commandos made a crunching noise as they got off their bikes and landed on the snow. Sergent He'gai's voice came over the com. Get the droid down. His words were clipped and direct. Lance Corporal Dreemer was quick to the task, giving Crystaall Sehefadu's astromech a light rap on the head. Alright little bud, you heard the leftenant.Corporal Go'sai moved out for a perimeter check while Sergent Sheperd knelt down and turned the corpse over. Sarge, leftenant- He scrutinized the dead poacher's face. -something tells me wherever Sylas is, he's wearing this guy's face. He'gai bent down to pick up Jonn Sylas' discarded Verpine carbine, remaining silent. Sheperd looked up at his squad leader, wondering what was going through the quarren's thoughts.Perimeter clear. A low voice rasped out over the coms. Someone needs a cough drop. S'what happens when you're as chatty as a rock, Ghost. Dreemer's voice echoed through their helmets and @kaytra's comlink. Better than shooting my mouth off, sounding like an idiot every other second. Veng Go'sai remarked, rather uncharacteristically. Hey! I resent that- Sheperd's voice cut through their chatter. Quit clogging up the coms with your noise, Dreem. Take it to the private channels if you have to blather on. Dreemer spluttered. Dreem!? What about Ghost? Sheperd sighed within his helmet. I'm not hearing him, I'm hearing you. He'gai just shook his head as his three stooges continued on, switching their banter to a private channel. One of these days, they'd get caught off guard and then they'd regret acting like idiots. One of these days.

=R4-Y9= *Made a few beeps as he was put down and he rolled around for a few moments to get a feel for the snow. Once he did he made a few noises. If anyone understood him, they would know he complained about the chatter. He extended his little radar and it circled around his purple dome. It made slight beeps here and there. and a single bleep, and then a few others soon after words. R4 squealed, letting the troops know that the single bleep was probably Sylas heading toward another group. Of course he wasn't sure if her was right. There were so many people in the large area they left, and it could be signs of the group Ali and Crystaall had taken control of. But he had a signature sound for his master and it didn't go off at all during the dish's rotation.*

*Kaytra ignored the constant chatter over the coms. Instead she watched the droids progress as it scanned the area. Once R4-Y9 indicated he found lifeforms in the distance, Kaytras gaze turned that direction. Walking a few passes away from the group, she pulled out a pair of electrobinoculars and began to scan the distant area. First she spotted a small group of about half a dozen beings, panning the electrobinoculars to the right she spotted a speeder bike heading towards them. She narrowed her gaze, that had to be him.*
"Sarge." *She tossed the binoculars to He'gai.* "What do you make of this."

He'gai caught the binoculars with a deft hand and brought it up against the visor of his helmet. After a quick look he tossed it back to Kaytra. I suggest we tail them until we have confirmed Sylas' identity. Everyone, mount up. He turned for his speeder bike, not waiting for the leftenant's response. Sarge, I can only think of one reason why Sylas would head towards the poachers alone. Sheperd spoke through the com. Go'sai followed up by saying, Infiltration, sabotage from within. S'what I would do. 'Cept I would've said something. Dreemer could be heard snorting over the comms. Course you would've. The Leftenant might've had us hunting you down too. Dreemer patted Crystaall Sehefadu's astromech, saying, Good job little bud, let's get you strapped in yeah? Then proceeded to get the R4 unit onto his speeder bike. Conjecture. Once we have confirmed Sylas' intentions then we can proceed on to the next course of action. Until then we will follow through with the original plan. He'gai got on his speeder bike, as did the other three commandos. They waited to follow Leftenant @kaytra's lead.

=R4-Y9= *R4 made a slow beep as if he whimpered as he was put back onto the bike. The cold was one thing, a speeding vehicle made him more nervous than anything.*

*Kaytra remained where she was for a moment as the rest of the squad mounted up. She could think of another reason why Sylas would leave like he did, but she kept that opinion to herself. Breaking her gaze from where the distant group was, she mounted her speeder bike and fired it up.*
::He'gai. Once we're close we'll split into two groups, get a better angle on them. If it is Sylas, then we'll make a plan after evaluating the situation. If it's not him then we move on, no need to telegraph our presence just yet::*Hitting the accelerator, the bike gave a loud roar and shot off across the snowy terrain. She hoped it was Sylas they were closing in on, and not some trap laid down by the pirates.*

In the time after everyone had voiced their decisions on what teams they'd participate in, the Yuzzem known as Pok called an end to the briefing. With everyone now getting to their teams and heading out, the mission had now began...=Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh= Shortly after making sure his equipment was all fine, Garwig walked on over to where Jan'ika Fett was. Nearby the boy was Isabella, Enbilulu, Dorothea, and Zal-Divar who were all tyrosaarai's of the order. John of the Imperial Knights sent by Xeonon Solomon was there too. Approaching them, Garwig spoke."Let's get on going. Pok had just now told me of a cavern entrance nearby here that connects to the underground caves of Wampa valley. Let's move." He said, then lead the whole group out of the hangar. Finding their way to a corridor nearby with frozen walls in each direction, it would lead them further and further into the caverns. The depths of the caverns being somewhat dark in areas, but enough light managed to go in through openings above that led to the surface.
Within about ten to fifteen minutes of journeying into the caves, they'd eventually reach an area that looked to be a large chamber within the subterranean cave. Several platforms about made of large icicles that looked unstable, while below them looked to a large pits of darkness that didn't seem to end. Falling would more than likely mean certain death."Guys, be sure to be careful with your movements here. The ice platforms don't look like they're meant to be stood on for too long. I'll go first..." Taking a deep breath, Garwig backed himself for a few seconds as he prepared himself. After nearly reaching the end of the chamber wall, he ran and did a forward flip as he jumped into the air. Landing onto one of the large icicle platforms with a flat surface, then felt the ice beneath him starting to crumble. Channeling the Force through his body, he continued to jump and flip from platform to platform as they shattered into several pieces of ice down into the pit bellow. Reaching the other side of the pit, Garwig landed on his feet on the ground and turned to speak in a high voice to the others."I'm ok! Isabella, try to see if you can use your cryokinesis to form new platforms over the pit! Janus, I suggest you go with jump alongside with one of the others!" =Countess Isabella Valentina= "Very well then, Mistah Garwig." The Countess said as she stood in front of the large pit and closed her eyes. Focusing on the Force, she began to concentrate on the pit bellow. As she stood there, she could sense that some water was actually far bellow the pit, having formed from drops of melted droplets of snow from an opening above the chamber. She manipulated the formation of the water bellow as it formed and rose into a few icicle platforms that used to be where Garwig had jumped on before. There was only so much water though within the pit, as the rest of it was just frozen ice. To make new platforms, they'd have to cut down some of the large icicles above the chamber so they'd crash down into the pit so they could jump on their tops.
As Isabella did that, both Enbilulu and Dorothea stepped forward as if to give Janus a choice of choosing one of them to accompany him from a jump to jump across the platforms to the other side of the chamber. Once Janus and whoever he chose got to the other side, the others would follow suit........... =Ursi Krak'jya= The Bothan lady follow her master, Crystaall Sehefadu as they headed out to follow Ali Hadrix. The others from the Jensaarai - Lynda, Jinx, Aeisha, Ragno, and Maahes all followed them from behind. With Lynda the closest by. Hearing Crystaall upon her questioning her, Ursi responded to her."Why are you doing that, master?" She asked as she straightened up the Jensaarai medallion on her arm that she wore like an armband. It helped to symbolize herself as a massisaarai of the Jensaarai order, much like how padawan braids symbolized a Jedi apprentice within the Jedi order.
