Silas masked his smirk with a smile as Atash tasked him with meeting with the research and development team to begin construction on a prototype ship. He gave a slight bow to Atash "Of course, I will oversee the Engineers myself to ensure a viable prototype is ready soon..." He turned his own attention back to the map as Atash spoke further. Hinting that someone he trusted would be scouting The Maw soon. He would be sure to keep an eye on who came and went in the following weeks and months. Whoever had been tasked with this mission was someone that Atash placed a great deal of trust within. Knowing who that was would prove valuable "I could not agree more. The Maw by it's very location will prove valuable, despite what state we might find the facilities to be in when we arrive... Until then, I will get to work and begin making the necessary preparations. Unless there was anything further you wished to discuss..."

"Indeed. Most valuable. And could provide us with a base to expand in those sectors, spreading our power"
He says. Atash turns of the map.
"Nothing else, for now, just that I trust that you will keep the sector at... peace"
He said, turning his back on the darksider as someone entered through a side door. A secretary burdened with several datapads, wearing the standard white uniform of the administrative officers. Behind came trailing two well-dressed noblemen, probably members of the Executive board.
"You might leave, Silas. Other matters to attend"

Admiral Saren had been in the High Command complex, once more reviewing the status of his fleet and ensuring it was ready for the necessary role it would play in the defense and expansion of the Diarchy. When a holotransmission, from the High Moff's office, came and stated the request by His Excellency, Vidarr would leave the work with his staff and depart for Torkan's palace. After going through the usual security checkpoints, the Admiral would come to the room that was designated as their rendezous. The Imperial salutes the Diarch.
High Moff Torkan. You requested my presence, Your Excellency?

The High Moff was sitting behind his ornate desk, but he wore himself a very simple uniform, purely white. The rank plaque over the chest.
"Admiral, take a seat"
He pointed at a curved chair in front of his desk.
"You probably know how diverse and heterogeneous the assets of the CSA were, at least a dozen different suppliers and shipbuilding companies involved"
He leans on one of the chair's arms.
"As admiral, you know that uniformity is key to success. I want to task you with overseeing the standarization of our fleet and the removal of any old vessels, that shall be disassembled in our dockyards to convert them into new ships. You're, right now, one of the leading individuals in our navy. Also, you have to design the most efficient composition for a dedicated fleet, a standarized group to be deployed in our key sectors. Maximizing the firepower and reducing the cost for our strained treasury"

Take a seat. What an odd command to his ears. All through his life, Vidarr was used to standing and keeping a good posture. It never made sense to do so otherwise. However, times were changing now... no more jumping from star system to star system, searching for a means to begin a better life. Now, the Diarchy was a place to call home, a place that could give the Imperial purpose once more. After a moment, Saren takes a seat. He listens to what Torkan had to say. An overhaul of the Diarchy's navy? Quite the task. Still, a standardization was meant to give the appearance of a true nation, rather than a ragtag group of Imperialists. High Torkan was set on that idea. Vidarr clears his throat slightly before speaking.
That is... quite the task. Before the establishment of the Diarchy, a lot of us used whatever ships we could get our hands on. Our ranks were filled with forced conscripts in order to make up for losses among crew and pilots. The Corporate Sector presents the ability to change all of that.
Saren clasps his hands together, thinking for a moment.
Given our relative isolation, in the greater galaxy, it will give us time to breathe and do such an overhaul, Your Excellency. Resources will need to be regathered with the conflict coming to a close and order being restored. Bonadan will serve a great purpose in such a task. I will discuss with High Command to see what we believe is outdated.
Thinking quickly, the Imperial continues.
We will want to keep the Imperial Star Destroyer as a mainstay. In my travels, under the Lady Inquisitor, such a vessel still played a major role in many fleets, both belonging to non-Imperialist groups and planetary security forces. It has served our needs and will continue to do so.

"No-one said being an admiral was easy, does it not?"Said the moff, looking at the man from behind the desk, while clasping both hands on his lap and leaning back on the carved chair. "We now have hundreds of systems worth of manpower and workforce. Our recruiting centers have standard procedures, academies are being established on every major star system. Now, the men in uniform are not conscripts, but volunteers. In two years or so we will have renovated the ranks of our navy with these new professional recruits"
He made a pause, shifting the manner he was sitting slightly. "Bonadan and its shipyards are producing hundreds of automated fighters, but also new cruisers and frigates. Now, we fully count with the resources of many Corporate Sector-based companies and conglomerates, few of which have been nationalized, to speed up our process of consolidation and increase our current firepower"
Atash scratches his now clean shaven chin, having gotten rid of his beard. "No need to remind me of the Star Destroyer's uselfulness, I commanded one for many years, admiral, I am no strange to naval combat myself. However, I do think we have powerful vessels to complement them, like the Cargador or the Surtidor. We must think of what we have, what we can build ourselves, to configurate our defense fleets"

I want to make sure that the vision you have for the Diarchy's Navy is understood and can be properly enacted. "Tradition has its uses. We were all adherents of an old regime, once, but the said government is long dead. We have to build now something unique, something legitimate, do you understand?"He says. The mention of supressing thoughts within the military makes him frown. "I do not want dissension, but ,neither independent thinking should be supressed. I am no Vader, I tolerate failure to a reasonable limit and subordinates who think and act like true soldiers and not droids. However, these reforms have to be accepted. I want a new uniform and efficient navy, one we could use to defend our borders and push them. For now, we remain within the sector, but that will not be case forever"The Tingel Arm would become their fiefdom, their domain. "Our research teams have developed fearsome weapons of war. I want the newly-issued models replacing the old. Specially, for our starfighter wings: the recently developed TIE fighters are formidable, I want every pilot trained in their use and every destroyer carrying them, exclusively. The older ships are costly to mantain and cannot keep up with our advanced ones, thus, are inefficient"He leans back."Our Imperial-class star destroyers shall be reserved to guard our core planets: Etti IV and Bonadan, while we deploy the newer destroyers in the frontline. The old remnants of our former allegiance shall be symbols of power here, but to the Galaxy we must show a new strenght, a new face. I am not a mere warlord, like Zsinj, I am a regent of this sector, by my own right, by conquest. With a new military we shall command respect, instill fear in those who believed we were mere upstarts and little more than pirates"He makes a pause. "However, this is but a part of my all-comprising reformation. And, this, because it concerns the military, you shall bring up to Lady Zariel, who rules over these matters. As our highest ranking naval officer I did want to hear your insight and input. I summoned you because this will require you to stay in communication with the Order branch, as they will provide the means to enact these changes on the military"

The High Moff certainly had his ambitions, this was something knew. Vidarr understood the purpose though. They weren't like the other warlord factions. There were those, like the Pentastar Alignment, that sought a continued governance and uniformity that was inherited from the Empire. That was the purpose of the Diarchy, to continue the Empire's legacy, but to also evolve it. It was a lot of work to consider, not just for the Admiral, but for everyone involved to mold the Diarchy into an Imperial state.
The enormity of this task would likely take some years to fully implement. Overhauling the navy in its entirety, not just the uniforms, but the ships, the starfighters, the training regimen, and more. The Corporate Space presented the means to achieve this, but the galaxy beyond was in chaos. They were fortunate to locate here, but Vidarr had heard the rumors and seen the reports... an odd cult having risen in Mon Calamari, led by Quarrens and Sithspawn. Not to mention a Mandalorian outpost at Telos IV. Furthermore, the news of a Jedi faction rising on Serenno. They were cornered, but it seemed like no one cared about the Corporate Sector. Quietly, the Admiral clasps his hands together, taking a moment to think things over a little before deciding to speak.
I will discuss this with the Lady Inquisitor. I will also ensure that a meeting is called, over at High Command, to discuss the various phases of these reforms, how to go about it, and the likely costs of these strings of reforms. Once that is done, I will begin making contact with Bonadan's shipyards and see the job done.
Thinking further, the Admiral considers something else.
The rebels also still have holdouts throughout Corporate Space, mostly towards our Rimward border. If they advance, they could likely cut the Hydian Way hyperlane. Our scouts have found them operating in the Drog, Dvirien, Kali, and Knolstee systems. We can use that opportunity to further test the new additions to the Diarchy's arsenal.
Rebels... and something else.
I have even received other reports of a strong pirate presence around Urdur, Oslumpex, Matra, and Orron along the Shaltin Tunnels. We still have enemies to fully defeat, but it presents an opportunity to toughen the navy and to test what comes out of Bonadan. If you approve, and the Lady Inquisitor too, I will lead the fleet to destroy the intruders and the rebels thoroughly. Truly test the capability of the Diarchy's navy.

"You may convene the meeting whenever you have something laid out for us to review, admiral. Once the reformation is approved, which I don't doubt it will, I will allocate the pertinent funds to start the process"
Said Torkan. "The slavers we rounded up provided an inmediate source of credits, derived of the confiscation of their ill-gained wealth: quite a sizable fortune, I must say. Part of it covered the expenses of our campaign, but, still, enough were left to launch this programme of reforms"
He frowns at the mention of further rebels living within its borders. The Diarchy's propaganda machine had spread word of their total triumph over the schimatics. To heard a mention of resistance elsewhere on the sector and the presence of pirates irked him. There was nothing he wanted harder than seeing all the conflict done and buried, ending the sordid affair of the secession inside the Corporate Sector. "You may lead our fleet and crush them. Be merciful with local populations, I do not want too many casualties. But you have to crush, ruthlessly, anyone still daring to oppose us, no matter how insignificant they might look like. Elimate them all. United, we stand, divided, we fall. We have seen this so many times in recent Galacti history; it won't repeat itself"

Mercy will be shown to the innocent... but I will work to find those who are collaborators. We cannot let them have the chance to return.A firm, yet just, hand was needed. A witch hunt would not happen, not under Saren's watch. They would find the guilty that hide among the innocent and see them interrogated and executed for their crimes. The rest, the truly innocent, will remained untouched. That was how to best deal with the rebels that lingered within the four systems. The pirates may likely flee at the word of an approaching Diarchy fleet, it was hard to tell how such an animal could react to a new threat. However, with the Lady Inquisitor's approval, I will see that a committee is made to examine the Diarchy's fleet in the mean time. So that when a return, a full survey is readily available and I can call upon the senior military officers to discuss and create the necessary reform of the navy. We have the time, so it must be used wisely. If there was nothing else to say, the Admiral would politely excuse himself, giving Torkan one more salute, before departing.

"You speak wisely, you may leave, admiral"
Said the High Moff, dismissively.
"I will eagerly await the results of your preliminar work on the matter"
He keys something on the desk's holopad. An aide appears and offers to help the admiral to the exit. A flock of courters fills the chamber as he left, including representatives of the Executive Board.
