Rogo rushed towards the lower levels, jumping down a turbolift shaft instead of calling it up, landing with a soft thud, like a Loth-cat, lightsaber in hand. The hallway was dark, emergency lights bathed everything in a dark ominous red. He then proceeded with caution, trying to open himself to the Force and feel what was amiss, he felt something, like a familiar presence, yet not, and it was like a small maelstrom in the Dark Side, something powerful yet barely conscious, like an animal. The droid, perched at his back chirped something, frightened, but Rogo silenced him by raising a closed fist. He could feel dark tendrils coming his way, tentacles of pure malice probing everything on their way. And, then, he heard a hiss, a gorgling sound and agonizing screams, pretty close. The inquisitor ran, turned a corner and saw a hunched shadow, lurking over an acolyte's body, a lightsaber in his or its crude claws. He could sense the hairs on his neck turning up and his skin crawling with disgust and terror. "Oh, no, not you..."
Rogo adopted a battle stance and lits up both ends of his lightsaber, swallowing hard as to regain some tranquility of mind. The Inquisitor called the force to clear his thoughs and focus on the incoming fight, but the sheer terror of the abomination before him made it quite difficult. When the flickering light revealed briefly to Jan Rogo the figure of the fallen Jedi Oraloh Lope, it seemed like a surreal nightmare, something that couldn't be happening. Lope was dead. Rogo and his droid companion hadn't failed their job, as the lightsaber wounds clearly showed - the Quarren in front of them was more corpse than man. Activating his lightsaber, the dead eyes of the Jedi looked slightly unfocused as suddenly it lunged forward in a seemingly uncoordinated surprise attack. Furthermore the young inquisitor noticed that several smaller objects, which were floating in the dark , began to suddenly rotate and fly into his direction. The unknown entity, which seemingly possessed the former Jedi was capable of levitating objects, for Rogo realized quickly that the force presence of Oraloh Lope was long gone.
Although the Guardian Spirit wasn't as agile and cunning as the person, who once was in controll of its possessed body, it still posed a threat. Though Rogo would be able to dodge the first attack of the creature, it aimed for another attack, the blue lightsaber blade shining bright, as the zombie-like creature reached out for any smaller object in range to weaponize it against the Inquisitor.

Five entered and made their way through the Cathedral, their masked leader taking a turbolift with the other four in tow. These five were among the highest ranked of the elite within the reborn Inquisition of the Diarchy, for they have long served the Lady Inquisitor. The Gang of Five was their moniker among both the fleet of Admiral Saren and the rest of the Diarchy. Enforcers, sorcerers, blademasters, and the likes were the tasks and skills of these Dark Jedi. Maxir was their undisputed leader, the masked human male who had become a dreaded presence within Task Force Hercules. His efficiency prevented several mutinies during hard times and it ensured the compliance of those below the Admiral, whose faith wasn't as easily shaken.
The Gang of Five made their way to the top of the Cathedral and entered the office of the Lady Inquisitor. With Maxir in the center, the other four fanned out in a line before they all knelt within the presence of Zariel. For a moment, there was silence, before Maxir spoke to his superior. There was an echo to his voice, given his face was encased within the suit of armor that had long covered his form.
=Maxir= Lady Inquisitor, I have come to report a finding while out on patrol with Admiral Saren.
Slowly, his helmet lifted to look at their leader.
=Maxir= We... have felt a stirring in the Dark Side. Something called to us.

The lift was flanked by Trildar siblings, they watched carefully as the Gang of Five exited the turbolift. Zariel looked up from her computer's screen and rose. It was not often Maxir requested personal audience with her. He was competent enough on his own, and his loyalty was never in question. Her cold eyes focused on the mask, she could feel his unease, something had happened. But as always, Maxir was ready to get to the point, something she had been sure to instill in most of her direct reports. She motioned for the Gang of Five to rise. Her tone maintained it's monotoned quality, not betraying her eager curiosity. Tell me, Maxir, tell me of this feeling.

Slowly, each of the five rose. They were once among the many faceless minions that served the Dark Jedi, Zariel. Now, thanks to their assocation with Admiral Saren, and the roles played between their assignment to the Herucles and to the present day, these five had the ability to gain audiences and the attention of the Lady Inquisitor. Maxir, especially, had such a privilege, given his proven loyalty and skill. His helmet turns to the Dathomiri Witch, Sister Maree, who steps forward as well.
=Maxir= It was Sister Maree who sensed it first.
With that said, the Dathomiri native spoke.
=Maree= Lady Inquisitor, I sensed... several things. The crackling of fierce lightning, the roar of a reptilian beast, the screams of agony left by those who died in an ancient war between one darkness and another. Followed by yet another dark war, and another. A contest between two dark forces, between two dark masters, and then between many.
The Dathomiri had closed her eyes and reached out in the Force, feeling what she had felt before. It was once an echo, but was now stronger than ever. Strong enough that the other four felt it days after Maree had first sensed something within the galaxy. What came next, what was sensed by the Five, was stronger than anything felt before. Her eyelids twitched as she latched onto the stronger emotions.
=Maree= I-... I felt... permanent betrayal... an everlasting hunger... and an all-consuming agony. I saw their lightsabers, I felt their power, I felt... I felt...
Maxir, sensing something amiss, reaches and grabs hold of Maree's shoulder, causing her to come out of her Force trance rather suddenly. The lights had even dimmed at the mention of these three powerful emotions. As she left her trance, the lights returned to their normal state. The Dathomiri female looked weak as Brother Gredarr, a Miraluka male, came forth and took her away to rest. This left three of the Gang within the room. Maxir's helmet turns to Zariel.
=Maxir= Betrayal, hunger, agony. There is only one place in the galaxy that these emotions would scream through time eternal.
Maxir states to Zariel as his helmet clinks slightly against his armor.
=Maxir= Malachor.

He used the walls to circle around the seemingly undead thing, rotating on his axis and using the surface to switch positions as he dodged the flying things thrown at him. The twin-bladed lightsaber engaged in a deathly dance, but, it caused little concern to the already deceased abomination, who did not pay much atention when the bleeding blade sliced his belly open, bursting in a cascade of putrid entrails, the smell of which almost caused Rogo to shake, nauseating as it was. The thing swung the blade back and forth and its brutality was soon apparent, cutting through walls and pillars with sheer strenght. Sithspawn...Thought the red-haired Inquisitor, already weary from the previous fight and not totally recovered in the exertion he had to make to kill the thing for the first time. "Pal... send general... alarm. Warn... lord Silas..."
He said through swings of his weapon, the pauses caused by his shortened breath and the focus on dodging the abomination's incoming attacks. The droid chirped nervously, as it transmitted the message to Silas' personal comm. Rogo then inmersed himself on the Force, his neck's hairs itching and raising as he felt things coming and flying at him from behind, having to move the blade to all sides, cutting debris, limbs and weaponry in halves before they impacted. Thankfully, the twin-bladed weapon was adept at deflecting such things and moving quick, covering much ground, but he slowly had to yield the place, retreating step by step, a drop of cold sweat running down his spine.

Silas had already been travelling down through the Cathedral, using the Force to sense out the location of the disturbance that he felt, when the alert came from Inquisitor Rogo. Something about the corrupted Jedi that had been killed had somehow come back to life, along with a floor number. Information which Silas used to press the call button for one of the upcoming floors. Causing the turbolift to slow down and come to a stop.
The floor arrival tone sounded as Silas stepped out into a corridor just off to the creatures right side. Sure enough, the sight that greeted him was that of a reanimated corpse belonging to the Quarren that had been slain by Rogo earlier in the day. It seems he would have to intervene in this matter, before the creature inflicted further damage upon the Cathedral.
Silas placed his hand upon the hilt and withdrew an obsidian coloured sword. But with a flick of his thumb, a glowing green energy edge came to life with the uniquely lightsaber snap-hiss Decided you didn't want to stay day, huh? Well, I guess I'll just put you down myself...

Good.
She stepped down from where she had been standing and came closer to the three Dark Jedi still before her. Zariel got close enough so that she could truly whisper. You will lead your Gang and the Fallen Four to the place Maree felt the disturbance. From there the nine of you will find the planet and gather intel on it. Particularly look for the fabled temple and training grounds. Then return to me with your findings. If you feel you would need his help, I give you permission to bring this matter to Silas as well. But most importantly, find me that planet. Do you understand? She had complete confidence in Maxir and those she was sending with him. If this mission turned to a success it could lead to a new era for her Inquisition.

The armor clinked as Maxir gave his salute. His scarred form beneath aching slightly from the tragedy that befell him many years ago. Like a loyal dog, the Dark Jedi would perform his task to the very letter of the orders given. Zariel had given him a second chance at life, after all. And so, Maxir would see Malachor found and claimed for not the Diarchy, but for the Lady Inquisitor and the reborn Inquisition. His helmet moves slightly to glance at Zariel.
=Maxir= I will enlist Darkstar's aid without a second thought. His powers, as a Prophet, will serve well in finding the lost world.
Maxir states with the nod of his helmet. The Dark Jedi suspected Silas would find out somehow and likely even felt the call and awakening of Malachor too. It would be rude to not speak with the priest. There was just one remaining question.
=Maxir= What ship and, if any, troops shall be assigned to this mission, Lady Inquisitor?
==========================================
A little later...
Once the details were hammered out, Maxir dismissed the remainder of the Five to prepare for the mission ahead. Brother Gredarr went to see how Sister Maree was recovering from her earlier ordeal. The awakening of Malachor was a powerful moment within the Force. And its effects were harshly felt upon their most able of Sisters. The armored male walked into the wing of the Cathedral where the Prophet, Silas Darkstar, and his minions worked. Here seemed a bit more... quiet and still in comparison to other departments.
Maxir knew of the Prophets, the Emperor's Mages. Darkstar was one of the few remaining of his kind. It was no wonder that Zariel welcomed him into the ranks of the reborn Inquisition. As the Dark Jedi had told the Lady Executor, Silas had powers that would help in finding Malachor. True, there were coordinates to where it resided, but the planet was corrupted by the Dark Side. It would be harder to find this lost world.
Venturing deeper into its depths, Maxir finally came to where Darkstar was located. The Dark Jedi made his inquiry and was eventually granted an audience. The armored figure marched across to where the Prophet was and approached him. A loud thud was heard as his armored boots halted a respectable distance away.
=Maxir= Only a fool would believe you have not felt the awakening, Darkstar. The beckoning of a lost world...
Maxir spoke to the Dark Mage.
=Maxir= Yet, I am surprised you did not report sooner than I did.

The beckoning of a lost world...Maxir spoke to the Dark Mage.=Maxir= Yet, I am surprised you did not report sooner than I did. The weeks and months that passed since he joined with Zariel seemed to be gone in the blink of an eye, but in that time the Office of the Eye had expanded exponentially. Silas had instituted reborn versions of the Shadow Stormtrooper, Storm Commando, and Terror Trooper projects. The offices that had been assigned to him were also now filled with loyal followers of the Inquisition, busy working away at desks as they sorted through large amounts of data ensuring the internal security and peace of the Diarchy.
But while his official task was only protecting the Diarchy from threats within, Silas had also expanded his network out across the galaxy. After all, it would pay to know who their external threats were, when it came to identifying traitors. Given the nature of their work, it was true the Office of the Eye was indeed considerably more quiet and tame than the rest of the Cathedral.
Silas was sitting at his desk, studying a number of reports when Maxir entered his office. The doors closing almost instantly behind the leader of the Gang of Five. Silas set the report he had been reading down upon the table as his gaze set itself upon the armoured male. He'd not had much interaction with the Dark Jedi assigned to Admiral Saren's command. But thus far they had seemed loyal to Zariel, so he had no reason to distrust themIt's a pleasure to see you as well Maxir... And yes, you would be correct that only a fool would believe that... Malachor calls out to us... A smirk formed quickly then, as he tapped the side of his head with a single fingerI can see the future Maxir, and letting you report the matter made the most sense... I trust Maree is resting well?

I can see the future Maxir, and letting you report the matter made the most sense... I trust Maree is resting well? To Maxir, it sounded like a lot of convenience. Silas was closer to the Lady Executor these days in comparison to his own role within the Diarchy's Military as the assigned attache and enforcer upon the vessels of the Task Force Hercules. The Prophet likely felt Malachor before the Gang of Five felt its beckoning. Perhaps even felt it stir within the Force before it unleashed it's tremendous roar. The breathing of Maxir was heard echoing through his helmet before the Dark Jedi spoke.=Maxir= Brother Gredarr went to check on her. The intensity she felt was... quite the experience.Cold betrayal, raw rage, endless hunger. Maxir was surprised it did not twist and kill Maree. Such powerful emotions, linked with such legendary figures, among the Sith, would have certainly killed a lesser person. The Five's leader's helmet turned slightly to look at where he was.=Maxir= The Lady Executor has given me command to search for Malachor. She recommended you and I already had you mind. The helmet swings back to look at Silas.=Maxir= Coordinates exist, but this is Malachor we are talking about. She could only be found if she desired to be... or if someone of great Force ability knew how to.Like a Prophet of the Dark Side.

Silas' smirk disappeared for a moment, replaced by something that briefly looked like concern. But his expression quickly took on a more controlled and neutral look She'll come out of this stronger than before when she is recovered... His gaze remained fixated upon Maxir's helmet, a perfectly blank slate which concealed the wearer's face and emotional cues. It also instilled in many a sense of dread. His smirk reappeared a few moments later as Maxir spoke of the mission to find Malachor Yes, I suspect subjecting Maree to Malachor's call once again would be rather dangerous... And I would be remiss to not aide a venture that The Lady Executor set you upon... Yes, I do know of a way to Malachor. It's surprisingly close by, actually...

Yes, I do know of a way to Malachor. It's surprisingly close by, actually... There wasn't an eyebrow on Maxir's face to reveal a twitch.=Maxir= Of course, that is known. The records indicate that Malachor is close to the Corporate Sector space. His armor shifted as his hand gestured outward.=Maxir= But like other worlds, corrupted by the Dark Side, they have a tendency to remain hidden even if the coordinates are known. They cannot be found unless they want to be.Ziost, Korriban, Dromund Kaas, Thule, and others, lost many times over. Malachor was one that people tended to not visit for particular reasons after all. Ancient technology that could crush a starfighter, steer a ship into debris, and ensure a crew was lost forever. Maxir's helmet shifted suddenly as his focus returned to Silas.=Maxir= Coordinates are one thing, getting there is another. That is why I am enlisting the only Prophet of the Dark Side that has the abilities to ensure my team can get there and back in one piece. The Lady Executor requires evidence and scouting and I intend to provide that. The Dark Jedi would not fail the Mistress of the Inquisition.

It wasn;t the first time Malachor would be rediscovered, and Silas was quite certain it would not be the last time either. Dromund Kaas and Korriban were notorious for being lost to those linked to the Dark Side, only to be found just when they needed to be. It seemed Malachor had decided it was time for it to be found by the Inquisition. While they were not adherents of the Sith Religion, the Dark Side did not distinguish between those that called themselves Sith and those that did not And provide it you shall... As you've said, you enlisted my aide, and I will ensure this task is completed. I suggest we make all haste to find Malachor, lest the planet choose not to be found again. Because if that happens, even I will not be able to aide us then... Silas rose from his seat and snatched his blade from a nearby surface, attaching it to his belt. The ornamental scabbard complementing the robes worn by the Eye of the Inquisition A word of advice though, Maxir: I'd advise against calling me a Prophet of the Dark Side in the presence of The Lady Executor. Such a title does not sit well with her, especially considering their history... For the sake of both our heads, the Eye of the Inquisition is much preferred...

Zariel had a plan, one that would give the Inquisition a planet apart from the Diarchy, where they could carry on unburdened by politics and the like. For now, secrecy is key. I will inform Admiral Saren of the Gangs temporary reassignment.

I will inform Admiral Saren of the Gangs temporary reassignment. For a moment, Maxir went completely silent as he pondered on what vessel to utilize. They would need one that could scan from a far away distance, in case there was unwanted company in the Malachor system. The Dark Jedi also considered that they would need a small backup force in case they did run into trouble. With that in mind, he spoke to the Lady Executor.I will require the services of an IGV-55 Surveillance Vessel and a flight of TIE Hunters as an escort. This should be enough to go forth and search for the lost planet of Malachor. It wasn;t the first time Malachor would be rediscovered, and Silas was quite certain it would not be the last time either. While they were not adherents of the Sith Religion, the Dark Side did not distinguish between those that called themselves Sith and those that did notAnd provide it you shall... The ornamental scabbard complementing the robes worn by the Eye of the InquisitionA word of advice though, Maxir: I'd advise against calling me a Prophet of the Dark Side in the presence of The Lady Executor. Such a title does not sit well with her, especially considering their history... For the sake of both our heads, the Eye of the Inquisition is much preferred... The breathing of the Dark Jedi paused for a moment. The helmet looking directly at Darkstar before the raspy noise continued. It took just a second for Maxir to consider the suggestion made by Silas. The Dark Jedi had little care for such history, only the present mattered to him. But yet, Maxir had been given a great responsibility by the Lady Executor. It would be wise not to upset her. Skipping over what was said, he decides to go over with Silas what was to be at their disposal. We will be heading to the designated coordinates upon an IGV-55 cruiser. A flight of TIE Hunters will be our escort and support during the mission. Malachor could have... occupants so precautions are being taken. A ten man team will be all we need. That includes myself, the others of the Gang of Five, and you thus far.Four more to be selected. Maxir would need to peruse the files on the ranks of the Inquisition for anyone with a good skill set to help on this mission. This didn't include the crew and a small complement of Stormtroopers, loyal to Zariel, that came with the ship of course. We will be departing in a few days.

Good, see that it is done hastily and discreetly. Raynor and the other three of my guard will also accompany you. I will inform them to follow your lead. Since it was a member of your cadre who felt this and had the initiative to bring it before me you will have ultimate authority on this mission, Maxir. I know you will not disappoint me. She motioned for him to speak if he had anything else to add, but was otherwise dismissed to begin his end of preparations. On Zariel's end of things, she would ensure that once the ship launched all flight records of the ship's departure would be wiped by Inquisitor agents. Their role as the internal intelligence agency would allow them all the access they would need to traffic control towers and the like.

Silas mentally noted the mission brief: 10 man team, IGV-55 Cruiser, and a flight of TIE Hunters. Given he had not been asked to provide anyone for this mission, Silas would have to only worry about himself and being ready by the deadline givenVery well, I'll be prepared to leave in a few days then. Soon enough we'll find Malachor and bring it under the Inquisition's sway. Until then Maxir... Silas gave a nod of his head and motioned for the Dark Jedi to take his leave of the office. Silas still had work yet to be done before his departure and preparations to make. Meditating upon the Dark Side would go a long way toward ensuring the routes he knew remained open. The last thing they needed was to end up crashing into an errant star

After The Battle of The Maw
Silas had grown his network far and wide across the galaxy. Whether it was listening devices, hacked networks, informants, or the Diarchy Bounty Hunters. Each was a vital cog in providing information on governments and groups foreign and domestic. As such, there were very few things that Silas was not made aware of when they occurred. To that end, it was mere hours after the events that took place at The Maw, that Silas learned of Azrea's betrayal. While there was a great deal of missing information that his agents were doing their best to recover from the wreckage of The Maw Installation, this fact was clear. He had always been suspicious of the Imperial Guardswoman. Her loyalty to Atash had always been tenuous, and her contempt for Zariel was barely concealed.
In truth, her betrayal would work in his favour by removing an obstacle to his future plans...
