*Mustafar was a volcanic planet, covered primarily in active volcanoes and lava rivers. There were also non-volcanic mountains as well as cave systems.*

*Within the great landmass of the Tulrus Island, Kaldera sat at the base of it's largest mountain, meditating. It had been many years since the Blackguard had been wiped from existence, for they were too weak to survive. But Kaldera had survived, thus proving him strongest. Kaldera could feel the boiling hatred beneath the surface, the anger the natives had pumped into the planet over centuries, constantly on the verge of extinction due to the constant volcanic eruptions that littered the surface of this world.*
*If Kaldera had his way, all worlds would be like Mustafar.*
*The constant chaos, yet the subtle tranquility in it all brought a soothing comfort to Kaldera's raging emotions. Here, there were no rules. It was kill or be killed. It was the strong versus the weak. Kaldera couldn't help but smile at that. For here he was, near the center of the Tulrus breading grounds, and not a single one of the beasts could be seen or felt for a some distance as if avoiding his mere presence. They feared him as they should.*
*It was clear where he and nature stood this day. After working with the Sith, Kaldera had decided to take a short holiday and come here for relaxation and meditation to collect himself, and see what the Force had destined for him.*

Tulrus Island
Disembarking from the CR90 after Gram sets the ship down near the small bridge of land stretching across a lake of lava, the only available route leading to Tulrus Island on foot, Neassa releases the pair of R-4 recon droids, having programmed them to proceed across the bridge to scout ahead. After confirming with Gram that the telemetry from her buy'ce's HUD, including the feeds from the R-4's, is being received by him and his crew, Neassa gives the droids a few moments to reach the island and begin making towards Sher Kar cave on its north-western edge, using the time to fill Inferno - who she is, after his stunt in orbit, starting to believe is either suicidal or simply so confident in his command of his Force abilities (which, admittedly, are certainly on a scale that she finds nearly defies belief given that they allowed him to survive not only the vacuum of open space but the entry into and descent through the planet's atmosphere unharmed; never mind how he somehow managed to guide himself unprotected and with a, she would assume, limited air supply through open space well away from Mustafar where the CR90 had emerged from hyperspace and come to a stop to scan the planet's orbit) that he and common sense parted ways so long ago that he and it are no longer in any regular contact, if they ever are - in on what he had missed during the briefing on the off chance that someone with his apparently god-like powers might benefit from it in some way.
Adjusting the sling of her EE-3 carbine rifle on her right shoulder after Inferno has been brought up to speed, Neassa scans the thusfar uneventful feeds from the R-4's as she says, We'll make our way north-west once we've reached the island. M's intel suggests the most likely place Kaldera would have set up will be in or near Sher Kar cave. Remember our spacing and keep your eyes open, call out any hostile contacts and, if and when we find Kaldera, let me do the talking. Cradling her EE-3 loosely at the ready in front of her, barrel pointing down to her left side, Neassa adds, Let's move out, and sets out across the bridge of land leading across to the island, the oppressive heat roiling off the lake of lava intensifying as she heads over towards the island.

Once within the planet's atmosphere, Inferno began to plummet toward the scorched earth, and had no choice other than to drop his protection bubble; virtually spent of energy, he tumbled end-over-end through the air for several hundred meters before he fought to situate himself into a proper freefall position. Facing downward with arms and legs fanned out, the clone had a long fall ahead of him, and desperately tried to regulate his breathing while he fed on the free-flowing Force surrounding him; he would need some way to slow his descent as he neared impact with the surface, or surely become a nasty paste on the face of Mustafar. Okay, maybe I didn't think this all the way through.... Shaking off his fatigue as best he could manage, Inferno quickly approached solid ground and pushed his hands downward, forcing out a powerful telekinetic push that not only paused his descent, but lifted him a few feet higher before gravity took back over and unceremoniously dropped him the last five feet or so to the gravelly floor. There. Nothing a fair bit of god-moding couldn't fix. Hissing out a pained breath, Inferno rolled onto his back and laid still for a moment, taking his time to wiggle each individual appendage to make sure everything was still intact. His chest rose and dropped in thundering breaths that seemed to set his lungs on fire. The indisputably insane clone slowly reached up to remove his facial mask and used a sleeve to wipe off- or rather simply smear the blood coating his upper lip. "Whew." He exhaled, then drew in another deep breath before saying, "that was fun. I'm never doing it again." Rolling onto his hands, he coughed out another breath as he pushed himself up to his knees. The hot air from the planet made the oxygen considerably thin, and wasn't doing him any favors after being winded from sudden impact with the ground. He attempted again to regulate his breathing when he suddenly became a bit more alert. "I just realized something." <<Just now?>> "This is a fairly good sized planet..." He took a moment to glance around and survey his immediate surroundings. "I have no idea where I'm supposed to be." The CR90had undoubtedly landed well before he did, what with its fancy engines and all. Pulling himself up to his feet, Inferno did a half-assed job of brushing himself off before replacing his mask and ambling forward in a direction leading to a high point. Having gotten the over-the-top ridiculous daredevil stunt out of his system - he quickly decided that he likely wasn't going to make a habit of these things - he checked his comm frequency and received an update from Shepherd. Once given a firm destination, he realized that he actually wasn't too far away from where the CR90 had set down, and so decided that, with luck, he could make up for lost time on his less-than-elegant part if he made his way to Sher Kar Cave to meet up with Shepherd and Hans.

Hans followed Shepherd off the ramp, E17-d rifle at the ready and his DL-44 in the holster on his belt. Unlike Inferno or Shepherd, Hans wasn't armored, but as a sniper, he couldn't afford to be hampered by anything too heavy. Instead of a helmet, he had a customized visor that he had been issued by the military during the later years of his sniper career. It provided him with a small HUD without the restrictions of a helmet and also came with a built in comm headset so he could keep in touch with his squadmates. Much better than any helmet in his opinion.
Hearing Shepherd's voice over the comm, he fell into formation as they made their way across the bridge, Hans grimacing as the intense heat hit him. He had been prepared for a warm environment here, but it was a bit hotter than he had been anticipating, almost worse than a planet like Tatooine. How the hell anyone could call this place home was beyond him...

*The two little recon droids split off after crossing the connecting peninsula, one traveling along the lava shores at the base of the mountain range and the other navigating a tight passage way through the mountains. The first hovered effortlessly over the black sand and jagged obsidian, coming across very few of the Tulrus beasts in its journey. The second, however, navigated the tight passageways slowly, carefully maneuvering to avoid scraping its metal casing against the tight walls of the passageway.*
*Meditating at the base of Sher Kar cave, Kaldera's bright yellow eyes snapped open and his Force Inferno dissipated upon feeling the massive surge of Force energy entering the atmosphere. Standing slowly and looking to the black smog called sky here, he closed his eyes and extended his senses, focusing on trying to find the power spikes origin. After a few moments he began to tire, after already having put much of his energy into this Inferno. Sighing disappointed, he took his place once again on the rocky ground, pulled his helmet back over his head, hiding the red skin of his heritage, and withdrew his lightsabers and set them beside him.*
*Here, he would wait. If it was one of the Imposter Masters of the Sith, he would greet him as the humble servant he had established for himself. If not....this could be interesting, Kaldera thought to himself.*

The decent to the surface of Mustafar was not as routine as he had hoped. Just before the decent into the planets atmosphere he had received a warning that one of the ships airlocks had been activated and that there was a life form detected outside the ship. He had no idea what was going on but the lifeforms was already heading into the atmosphere so whatever poor soul decided to get themself sucked out of an airlock was already doomed. After the incident with the airlock there was no problem. He had sent the ship down on the Island where they were to find this sith and began the landing checklist.
Shortly after the ship was on the ground the team had disembarked and he started to receive data not only from the drones but from Shepherds armor as well as the comm channels they were using. He had commed Sheperd to tell her that he was recieving all data alright and he informed the officer in charge of the senors to begin to scan the planet to augment the recon droids. From the comm chatter he realized that the person that had gone out of the airlock was Inferno, and more strange was the fact that he was alive. He did not understand force users and he doubted he ever would.
He brought he attention back to the recon droids. So far they were not picking up anything of interest, no human life signs. After a short time the recon droids split up, the one going over the lava fields did find a few Tulrus beasts. The other was moving through a tight passegway through the mountians.
Shepherd, the recon droids are showing a few Tulrus beasts on the lava shores ahead of you. No humanoid life sighns yet, or really anything else of interest besides rock in various states of melting.

Neassa holds up her left hand to call a halt when Gram contacts her to relay the results of the sensor sweeps of the island thusfar, disappointingly revealing that little of note has yet been detected and indicating that she and her team will more likely than not need to make their way into Sher Kar cave in order to make contact with Kaldera, assuming that the Sith is indeed here on the island. Roger that, Neassa says, using eye movements to overlay a map of the island with the feeds from the recon droids so that she can plan their approach to the cave to avoid any unnecessary contact with the Tulrus beasts that the droids have located as she continues, Have your sensor techs begin to narrow in on Sher Kar cave. See if they can't find any humanoid life signs or come up with a rough layout of the interior. Shepherd out.
Addressing Hans and Inferno, Neassa says, We'll be continuing on to Sher Kar cave. Sensors haven't located any sign of our target as of yet, so stay alert. Having been trained by a Force user, Neassa is aware of the fact that some Force users have the ability to sense other Force sensitives and that some can even detect whether an individual is aligned more with the dark side than the light, and so, as she motions for Inferno and Hans to begin moving out once more and chooses a route that will keep them well away from the Tulrus, she asks, Inferno, can you focus enough to determine whether there is another Force user nearby? Maybe detect any signs of the dark side that would let us know a dark sider is nearby?

Hans stopped when Shepherd gave the signal to halt, and he took the opportunity to get a better look at their surroundings, most of which was just active volcanoes. So far there had been no encounters with any of the native wildlife, which was fine by him as this mission was dangerous enough without interference from some of Mustafar's more aggressive species. He would continue to keep an eye out, and he hoped nothing tried to sneak up on them from behind. Snipers, in general, hated up close and personal fights and he was no exception, especially if it was the native population of the island.
He continued to keep a sharp eye out as they started moving towards the cave where their target was (hopefully?)residing.

Inferno was still in the process of recovering from his stunt in orbit, but sensing the presence of a darksider was basically a sixth sense for the clone; they had a distinct, awful smell about them that he could pick up anywhere. Can I focus? Of course I can focus enough to find this guy... oh hey, that's a pretty cool looking rock. No, no wait, focus... "I'll let you know when my Force-y sense starts tingling." He answered while moving in formation with the other two. Finding a concentrated source of chaos and rage on this particular planet was going to be like trying to find a needle in a stack of red hot needles. But because Shepherd already had a general idea of where to look, that made things considerably less difficult. Inferno reached out metaphysically via the Force and surveyed the surrounding area. It would not surprise the clone if this Sith'ari would be able to pick up on this probing, and chances were good that Kaldera had already been made aware of their presence on the planet. If he really wanted to find them, then it would not be difficult; nor would it be any challenge for him to reveal himself. It did not take too long for the clone to pick up on an exceptionally powerful concentration of tainted Force energy, and his eyes burned a deep violet beneath his mask. A sudden rush of adrenaline fueled his senses, and he was beginning to feed on the dark energy as well to fill his Force reserves. It was an uncomfortable feeling, but the Echani felt it was necessary if things came to nearly inevitable blows. "I think I might have found something." He stated while holding his focus and attempting to narrow down a specific point. "Definitely near the mountains ahead of us. If we stay our current course I should be able to track it easier..."

*As the team began making their way towards the island, feed from the second recon droid revealed that it had just completed navigation of the tight passage between the mountains to reveal a long stretch of wasteland with mountains running along its edge. As the droid proceeded forward, it showed that the entire valley was covered with roaming packs of Tulrus.*
*Meanwhile, the first droid had reached a wide bend in the lava shores and, having flown over 4 small packs of Tulrus, discovered a bit wider passage way through the mountains and proceeded through it, noting two large cave openings on either side of the passage.*
*At the base of Sher Kar cave, Kaldera felt the presence he had detected coming in through the atmosphere earlier probing for him. This one doesn't feel like a pretender...Kaldera noted as he turned his focus towards drawing himself inwards, a technique he had read up on at the Sith Academy on Dromund Kaas, but hadn't had much practice in. Here, he tried it to add that small amount of challenge for the hell of it.*

Understood.
Gram relayed Shepherds orders to the officer that was manning the sensors. They would start to narrow their search on Sher Kar cave. Hopefully they would be able to get some additional information on the cave, he knew what it was like going into a place with no intel, it was not fun. He turned back to the feeds coming in from the recon droids. They were continuing their search and the second one had made its way through the mountains and he saw the valley beyond full of the Tulrus beasts. The first recon droid saw a few of the Tulrus beasts but not nearly as many as the first. It had starts its way through a much wider pass in the mountains and passed a couple of large cave openings on its way.
While he was watching the information come in for the diffrence sources he almost, just almost wished he was down on the surfice with the rest of the team. While he was glad that he was in the safty of the ship, jsut watching the data was extremely... boring. He leaned back in the pilots chair keying the comm to shepherd. Might as well inform her about the Tulrus.
Shepherd, Starting to narrow our search on Sher Kar cave. Ill get back to you when we have anything. Also passed tight passesway throuhg the mountian, there is a valley absolutely filled with the Turlus. Besides that not much anything else interesting coming up.

The "Skydance" flew over magma hills and lava waterfalls and plateaus, finding small islets, most too small to land a ship of the size and weight. Angel opened the hatch above and summoned his droid to autopilot.
Geenine, find a secure place for the ship to land, and send those coordinates to my gauntlet.
Angel Force jumped straight up as the ship flew away to the distant pads. He could feel the searing heat of the river of fire below him. He spread out his wings and combined Force flight with his innate flying ability to soar above, looking for a safe place to individually begin searching for his desired lava crystal.

Angel followed the directions of the spacer to the massive volcano near Fraildeja. He rode the massive lava flea mount down the lava banks. He could understand why the Mustafarians preferred them over mechanical repulsorlifts. Hoverbikes were incapable of caring if they crashed. And this was much more entertaining.
He surfed off a small lavafall and heard a deep rumbling noise, as if the earth itself were groaning awake. Quickly maneuvering his lava flea off the lava flow, he made it climb up a coastside cliff, into a nearby outcropping rich in basalt. Seconds after he got both of them in the built-in impression, he turned and watched from his elevated platform as the majestic mountain buckled and spewed out liquid flame and pyroclastic plumes and fumes. It flowed down into the river, and it immediately turned from its gentle trickled into a surging flood.
What a fascinating sight. Iridonia's Mangai is not nearly as exciting as the eruptions here on Mustafar.
Angel sat down in meditation position, and erected a powerful Protection Bubble in the fourth wall, the open area facing the volcano. Indigo energy shimmered to life like a deflector shield as the magma rushed forward, crashing harmlessly against the wall instead of utterly incinerating Angel and his steed. Drops of sweat ran down Angel's face as he focused more intensely to maintain and intensify the shield when the heavier outpourings rained down; the entire scene in front of him was just a coarse orange as the cliff was submerged by the temporary magma outburst. Its solidity prevented it from melting away, but the ground underneath grew white hot. While the lava flea could withstand it, Angel had to resort to floating meditation just to prevent his ass from getting charred.
After what seemed like forever (only a real six or seven minute time-lapse), the eruption subsided and the magma stopped coming in copious amounts. As soon as he could fully see the landscape again, he deactivated the bubble and levitated onto his flea in search of the minerals he sought. As the flea moved upstream, Angel contacted his droid.
Geenine, did you catch that eruption?
Yes sir, I did. Magnificent. Were you caught in the middle of it?
Yes. Where did the largest portion of pyroclastic ejection fall?
Uploading coordinates to your minimap now.
Good. Mark down your location too, so I know where to return.
Within a minute, Angel received the coordinates through two X-flares on his holo-map. Good, it was right at the banks of where he was headed toward. An obsidian beach with an obsidian cliff to match. The place where Vader's organic body was cremated alive in the culmination of his confrontation with Obi-Wan. Angel steered the flea toward the obsidian shoreline, then Force-spoke it back to its rental owners. He Force-jumped off its back and landed squarely at the foot of the cliff.
Angel looked around, carefully walking, as the obsidian was sharp as it was fragile. He slowly treaded on the ground, mindful of the steps and shatterpoints, pouring lids into the cracks to make sure he could safely take his next step. Eventually, he got so frustrated at his lack of progress that he resorted to hovering around on his Mitrinomon jet boots. He collected the most intact pieces of obsidian to create that famed obsidian sword for relic sake later onward. Then, inside the cliff's translucent surface, he spotted a blood-orange gemstone, wedged within the crevices. It looked very recently lodged in. It called out to him, like an inaudible song. Its distinct glow stood out amongst the sea of black, white and silver all around.
'This was it', he thought.
Tugging on the Force would do no good, especially when he was not accustomed to hovering on his jet boots (they were designed for travelling). He planned on getting one of those repulsorlift hover-belts next time he was on Coruscant.
Angel decided to use Shatterpoint, even if it risked compromising the integrity of the entire cliff. He sought through the small fractures and sent small jolts of Force lightning into it, supercharging it. After the structure around was slightly weakened, he channeled the Force energy he could in precise amounts and poured it in. The combination proved successful. That one portion splintered and blasted open; Angel had to retreat quite rapidly back to avoid being pierced by the obsidian shards that broke loose. But finally, the lava crystal was accessible to him. Calling it out with the Force, the crystal flew into Angel's palm; despite its heat, Angel only felt warmth. He knew its resonance fit his own. He would do well this blade.
Pocketing the lava crystal with his permafrost crystal, Angel tapped out the coordinates on his holo-map once more, and informed Geenine to prep the ship to his coordinates. About five minutes later, the "Skydance" reached his position, hovering with a steady, healthy hum under him. As the cockpit opened, Angel extinguished his jet boots and he plopped down onto the pilot's seat with Geenine next to him.
My jets almost ran out of fuel, you know.
The "Skydance"'s cockpit slid solidly shut as it raced off into the atmosphere toward orbit.

[cont'd from Fralideja thread]
A Stormtrooper, recovering from his first hangover in three years, came to a halt in front a great river of lava. Despite (unbeknownst to him) being so close to the city of Fralideja beforehand, he had wandered, lost, into the wilderness of Mustafar. Turning back from the river, he received a shock. The river had enclosed him. He was standing on a small island in the lava.
The volcanic ash beneath his feet started to slip away into the lava and a sense of panic overcame the trooper - he leapt desperately for the nearest bank, but fell short, plunging into the lava! If he was panicked before, this was mere childish anxiety compared to what he felt now. He thrashed about in the excruciating mixture of fire and drowning and was so focused on survival, that the question of why he had not been killed nearly instantly did not occur to him. The scream bouncing through his helmet did not seem to be his own as he dragged his body up onto the bank of the lava flow. The first thing the trooper realised once he was clear of the lava was that his plastoid armour was melting. Allowing his helmet to drop into the fire, he grabbed a sharp rock and used it to cut and bash his armour at vital points in order to remove it from his body. He then ran, naked, a few feet in the ash and collapsed.
Several hours later, the trooper awoke, coughing and spitting ash from his mouth and examined his injuries. His stormtrooper armour had protected him from the worst of it, but there were several burns all over his body. He also found that all that had remained of his weaponry and armour had been lost to the lava, except for a single LXR-6 concussion grenade which had inexplicably survived, though given the scorch marks on it from the fire, he couldn't be sure that it would still work. He tore a strip from the body glove of what remained of his armour to serve as a loincloth, picked up the grenade and wandered further into the wilderness...

Tannor strolled down to the molten river side, sporting nothing but his armourweave pants, his torso exposed as it was far too hot to wear a shirt, or even much else, here. As he came up behind his aunt, admiring her beautiful form, her kissai robes perfectly accenting her toned body, and revealing just enough skin to entice his eyes to certain areas. His thoughts started to wonder, lingering upon the idea of just how beautiful she would be if he were to peel back the meagre robes and stare upon her naked form, the sheer power emanating from it unrestrained. He came to a stop just behind her, resisiting the temptation to reach out and grab her hips, as the light reflected off the thin sheen of sweat that coated his torso, further accentuating his muscles. Sarlacc had been the real power house of the family, embracing the dark side for the tool that it was, to gain power, and for that, she had garnered his respect and attention You look as ravishing as ever Aunty. So, what do you require of me my Lady?

Only if you go in first... Tannor quickly fell in behind his aunty, keeping step behind her, as he kept his gaze upon her, watching the rhythm with which her hips swayed, as he listened to her chide him and ask why he was here. There were a lot of answers he could give to that question, the least of which was that he wanted to have her to himself, but that was not the answer she would like to hear, at least not right now. No, the reason he stayed around was because he desired her, but the reason he had come, that was entirely different, and as he quickened his pace to walk alongside her, his tattooed shoulder facing her as he turned his head to look at her You don't have to send for me. I always know when I am needed. So what task do you have for me? Surely there is some service I can provide you...

Tannor smirked, fondly remembering the first time he had partaken of her fruit, and of the many times he had been with her since then, each time causing him to become just that little bit stronger. She had been his first, and the only one able to help strengthen him, and make him more into that which she desired most, but hers was not the only fruit he sampled, but it was the one he desired more between the two women It is always the most forbidden of fruits that makes us the strongest, and yours is quite delicious... The weak perish, so that the strong may survive, and take what they want... He then set his gaze upon the contraption they were headed towards, as she inquired about his recent test scores. Tannor then drew the pistol that was holstered upon the back of his pants, and gave it a quick check, certain that it wouldn't be required, since this place was more than likely long abandoned, but it never hurt to be prepared Top marks as always. The others dont even stand a chance with how strong I've become...

Doesn't sound like a problem to me... Just so long as the blood is never diluted... Tannor was proud of his heritage, and of the blood line that he shared with his Aunty, which had helped him grow from the scrawny kid he had once been, into the man he was today. And one day, it too would strengthen the heirs that he would have with her, since he had been granted the prestigious honour of being chosen as her mate, to be with in body and soul. Where outsiders saw a woman related to him, Tannor only saw the woman he loved, and the strength that she had, which would one day produce even more powerful beings, that would follow within his and her footsteps, continuing on the legacy of their family. Much to his chagrin, he had been born a non force sensitive, to a mother who was a Jedi, and a father who he knew only to have been force sensitive, but his own children with Tripp would not be so unlucky, for her power would guarantee their own. Tannor barely reacted as Tripp brought down a bolt of lightning to the ground before them, impressed by the display of sheer power, which served only to fuel his desire for her Mmm, if only we did not have a mission to do... He left the rest of that statement up to her imagination, although he was certain it was the reaction she had hoped to prompt from him, as they drew ever closer to their destination, his pistol drawn and ready to shoot any hostiles that might be around

His gaze drifted to her as she made her comment about him being territorial of her Of course I am, no other man is worthy of you. Only I shall taste of your fruit. Ever since she had taken him that first time, and claimed him as hers, he too had claimed her as his one and only, and any man that tried to encroach upon his territory, he would deal with swiftly and mercilessly
